Review: Missha M Magic Cushion

21. July 2015

// PR SAMPLE / KBEAUTY / MAKEUP //

Four or five years ago my addiction for Asian beauty products started with my first BB cream, the Missha Perfect Cover BB, and today I’m happy to introduce to you the newest addition to the Missha BB cream family, the Missha M Magic Cushion!

Missha M Magic Cushion

Missha is one of the worldwide famous Korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and since some time they even opened up an online store for Germany, and a physical store in Ingolstadt in Germany! The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging and the design is usually very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. The Missha M Magic Cushion comes in a very simple, yet elegant, white cardboard box as well, as you can see from the images.

Missha M Magic Cushion

The cardboard box contains the Korean and the English description. You’ll find the ingredients also listed on COSDNA >>here<<, but they are also listed on the cardboard box. I want to point out the fact, that if you look carefully below, you will notice that you’ll find a sticker on the side where the ingredients are listed. Below that sticker, you will find another ingredients list. Both lists are identical considering the single ingredients but in a different order. On this topic, you might want to check out the article by Tracy from fanserviced-b. She points out how the ingredients are listed in a different order depending on the labeling rules of the specific country.

Missha M Magic Cushion

Nevertheless, I want to point out some key ingredients for the Missha M Magic Cushion. The packaging states Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, and Ethylhexyl Salicylate as active ingredients. These three ingredients are the sunscreens included in this product and give the Missha M Magic Cushion SPF50+ and PA+++. Thus, the key targets of this cushion bb cream are winkle-care, whitening and UV blocking, in addition to giving a flawless appearing skin. Other ingredients which can be pointed out are bamboo water and baobab fruit extract which provide the skin with moisture, and hazel extract which has soothing properties. There are also some other plant extracts and oils included in the ingredients list.

Missha M Magic Cushion

Compared to other brands Missha jumped the cushion bandwagon quite late. They released a DIY cushion case previously (you can find my review >>here<<), and I’m sure many were a bit confused and thought that the Missha Magic Cushion Case was already a real cushion. But the Missha M Magic Cushion was released later and so far there are three different cushion bb creams by Missha available in Korea: the Missha M Magic Cushion, the Missha M Magic Moisture Cushion, and the Missha Signature Essence Cushion. Missha US and Missha Germany only released the Missha M Magic Cushion so far, but I’m sure the others will be following soon. The design of the Missha M Magic Cushion is like all the other cushion foundations: it comes in a round container like most pacts come with. The container has a mirror in the lid, in order to be easy to use on the way and work as a perfect product to carry around in your handbag. There is also an application puff inside the container. These, typically blue colored ruby-cell sponges are super soft and perfect for applying a natural looking layer of the bb cream. I also have the feeling, that the ruby-cell sponges are kind of cooling while patting the product on your face.

Missha M Magic Cushion

Now, below the second plastic lid, you’ll find the “heart” of the cushion, the sponge soaked with the BB cream/ foundation. This plastic container inside the pact case can be removed and replaced once empty. Some brands can even exchange their refills amongst each others cases, some can’t. I have an Innisfree, a Pongdang and a Missha Cushion so far, but they cannot be exchanged with each other. The Missha M Magic Cushion also doesn’t fit into the Missha Magic Case, but it fits with the other Missha cushions.

Missha M Magic Cushion

The Missha M Magic Cushion is available in two shades: #21 Light Beige and #23 Natural Beige. Since it is summer at the moment I chose #23. I’m a bit tanned at the moment and although it looks a bit bright on the swatch on my hand, it looks okay on my face. Although the Missha M Magic Cushion has a semi-matte finish it doesn’t feel drying, but rather moist.

Missha M Magic Cushion

Also, if you have used primers or achieved a nice glow with your skincare routine before it doesn’t cover the glow, but leaves the natural shine on your cheeks for example. The coverage is medium and it doesn’t make the skin look unnaturally cakey. I will review the Missha M Magic Moisture Cushion in comparison soon, but so far I love this cushion. The finish is pretty and it lasts quite long without getting dry or flaky around my chin or nose. It does not make my skin oily either, probably because of the silica-bead powder, which is supposed to absorb sweat and sebum. The scent of the Missha M Magic Cushion is kind of creamy, but not flowery like the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream for example. It is not super strong either.

Missha M Magic Cushion

So far I am very happy with the Missha M Magic Cushion. I had high expectations for it, since I love the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream, and I was afraid to be disappointed with the cushion, but at the moment I’m using it daily. I still love the Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion though, but it is shade 21 and a bit too light for me atm ;D I’m very curious about the Missha M Magic Moisture Cushion though and I hope that I will like it as much as this one. I received the Missha M Magic Cushion from Missha Germany. They deliver within Germany, but also outside Germany. So if you are somewhere in Europe it might be faster to consider ordering from them instead of Korea. My package arrived after 2 days, which is awesome when thinking about the 2-4 weeks of waiting when ordering from Korea :D The Missha M Magic Cushion retails for 15.40 €, and they had a launching event where it was only 10 €! I can recommend you to take a glance occasionally at their webpage, instagram, and facebook. By the way: Missha is one of the Korean bands which are against animal testing!

You can also find the Missha Cushions on any other official Missha Store or Amazon.com.

Just as a short reminder: All products mentioned and reviewed on this blog are of my personal opinions. This product here was sent to me for reviewing purpose by http://www.missha-germany.de/ which doesn’t influence me in providing my honest opinion on the products.

Graveyard: November and December Empties 2014

14. January 2015

Here are the last empties I’ve got for you from 2014. I also changed the design of my product graveyard cover image. Hope you like it :D I’m still not sure if this will be final though. Now, have fun reading about my emtied products for the last two months (I didn’t keep sheet masks and other masks, and also no sample sachets…it would simply be too much…and also too messy ;)

November and December Empties 2014

1. Laneige Waterbank Essence: Repurchase? Yes, if I can afford it XD

A very nice and moisturizing essence. A pitty Laneige is quite expensive, otherwise I would have bought the fullsized product already. A review is upcoming.

2. Nivea Soft Milk: Repurchase? Yes.

I bought this a couple of times and since it is cheap and locally available I would always get another one when needed.

3. Etude House Lash Perm 3 Step Volumescara: Repurchase? Yes, but I still want to try various different asian mascaras first.

A volumizing and lengthening mascara. You can turn it and change the amount of mascara on the brush by rotating in three steps. See my review >>here<<.

4. Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion? Repurchase? Yes, but I have a lot of new toners to test first.

This water based toner has a light acid pH and not many, but good ingredients, like hylanoronic acid, honey, ceramide and collagen. If you love products with few ingredients which are natural you should check out Tunemakers. Read my review >> here <<.

5. Anatomicals sud the lot of you get lost grime body cleanser: Repurchase? No.

Nothing special about this body cleanser to be honest. The scent wasn’t spectacular either.

6. Dita von Teese Rouge Shower Gel: Repurchase? Yes!

I told you already how much I love the Dita von Teese Rouge Body Lotion and Perfume and I do love the shower gel, too. The scent also lingers quite some time on your skin and is amazing! Love it ♥

7. Lush Sugar Scrub: Repurchase? Maybe.

This scrub was really nice, but I don’t like the packaging because it has no protection for the scrub. If you do not put it in another container it will melt away in the shower as soon as it gets wet. The scent was nice though and the grains did a good scrub on my body.

8. Shiseido Ibuki Softening Lotion: Repurchase? Yes, but it is too expensive…

I really like the scent of the Ibuki line and this softening toner really softens the skin. I did like using it, but it is too expensive to be rebought atm.

9. Donginbi Donginbidam Red Gingseng Aqua Oil & Red Ginseng Aqua Pack Essence: Repurchase? Yes and No.

This set was part of Memebox Oriental Medicine and from the two products I really liked the Aqua Oil better, which was a watery and ungreasy facial oil. The essence was okay, but nothing special. I think this is more on the expensive side which is why I would not repurchase it. Other than this it was an interesting line and brand. Review is upcoming.

10. Avène Cleansing Lotion: Repurchase? No.

This mild cleansing lotion unfortunately didn’t remove makeup as I expected. If you have gentle skin you will like it, and if you don’t wear makeup you will like it, too. Other than that it is not really useful.

11. Hairich Vedacell Hair Program Shampoo: Repurchase? No.

This herbal shampoo was part of Memebox Global No. 8 and it targets hair growth and vitality, similar to the Damoae Therapy Shampoo. I liked the effects from the Damoae shampoo better and my hair was softer after washing it. If I would go for a herbal shampoo, I would go for Damoae.

12. Declaré Anti- Irritation Serum: Repurchase? No.

I was not convinced by this serum, especially compared to asian serums I tried. It was too sticky, when applied alone! But the application with included pipette in the cap was nice and the scent was pleasant, too. And it did a great job in moisturizing the skin. Read my review >> here <<.

13. D’Ran wonder Serum: Repurchase? No.

This serum is packed with great ingredients used in traditional korean and chinese medicine. I liked using it and it had a nice and calming ginseng scent. Read my review >> here <<.

14. Etude House Aloe Moistful Soothing Gel: Repurchase? Yes, or maybe another aloe gel

The Etude House aloe soothing gel comes in a convenient pump packaging, which was the reason for me to buy it. It is soothing and refreshing for face and body and perfect for warm weather. I could imagine buying another Aloe gel for summer. Read my review >> here <<.

15. MAX Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Form Cleanser: Repurchase? No.

I had high hopes for this cleanser since it sounds very luxurious, just from the name. I didn’t like the citrus scent and it was not the best oil cleanser I encountered. Read my review >> here <<.

16. Missha Vita M BB Cream Moisture: Repurchase? Maybe.

A light BB cream with a glowy finish. I love Missha BB creams, but the Perfect Cover BB is still my favourite. Read my review >> here <<. Anyways, I could not repurchase it at the moment because I have too many BB creams :D

Top 20 asian cosmetics products 2014

7. January 2015

Hello my dearest readers! Happy new year to all of you! I know I’m a bit late for a roundup of last year, but I didn’t want to start into 2015 with simply a new review, which is why I decided to show you my favourite 20 asian cosmetics products which I reviewed in 2014. It was quite difficult to decide because I have quite a few products I liked last year, but I could shorten it to 20 products, including makeup, skincare, nails, masks and even a hair product. I still have some products I bought last year, but I didn’t review them, and I decided to not include them into my top 20 of 2014, but rather save them for this year, after I did the reviews :) Here is my selection of products:

Review: Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer

22. December 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

These days I don’t have many products from the Korean brand Missha which I use more frequently, except for the Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer (and the Missha Magic Cushion Case). I bought it some while ago together with the Missha The Style Tinted Lips , when I found that Missha had opened a German online shop.

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer

Missha is one of the worldwide famous Korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and recently they even opened up an online store for Germany.  The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging. The design is usually very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. The Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer comes in a suprisingly large cardboard box although it only contains a pot type concealer, but it also comes together with a brush, which is the reason for the size. The cardboard box is black and has golden lettering and thus looks very elegant. Two different shades are available, No.21 and No.23. I bought No. 23.

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer

The description on the packaging is very detailled, and it is written in English and in Korean. You you will also find the full ingredients list on the packaging. The ingredients are safe according to COSDNA and the concealer comes with SPF30/PA++, too.

Missha_SignatureExtremeCoverConcealer_3

The jar of the concealer is beautifully designed with the flower shaped logo of the Missha Signature line. The cubic pot is black and golden, like the cardboard packaging and is made of a sturdy hard plastic material. The approximately 10 cm long brush is delivered with a plastic protector bag.

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer

I really like the design of the container. It looks very luxurious. The pot contains 10 g of concealer and has a shelf life of 24 months after opening.

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer

The brush has soft bristles and keeps your pot hygienic (if you remember to clean your brush, too).

Missha_SignatureExtremeCoverConcealer_6

There is a plastic lid between the container lid and the pot.

Missha_SignatureExtremeCoverConcealer_7

The texture of this concealer is a solid one. It can be taken by the brush and applied on the desired areas of the skin. Afterwards you can use your fingers for blending it in, if you want to create a softer look. It has a pleasant soap-y scent. Although I chose No.23 it is quite a light color, so I gues No. 21 is suited for very pale people. Nevertheless, the color is perfect for me and suits my skintone after blending it in. It has a good coverage, too, and allows to hide reddened skin or spots perfectly. I use it only very lightly for my under eye area, since the thick consistency of this concealer is a bit dificult to work with on thin skin. If you don’t blend it properly there it will settle into the fine lines under your eyes and doesn’t look nice.

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer

I can say that the coverage is really great here, so this concealer fulfills it’s purpose greatly. If you have a lot of fines in your eye area I would not advise you to get this type of solid concealer but rather go for a cream type one. The texture here is thick and may sink into your lines. If you are looking for a great coverage for hiding spots, you’ll like this a lot. I love that it comes with a brush :) There is also another design of this jar available, which has a fully golden lid and a white container, but other than the color these are the same. This product retails for 18.91 US$ at W2Beauty. I bought mine at Missha Germany for 19.90 € which is slightly more expensive.

Review: Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

8. August 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATe LINKS //

As soon as I knew that Missha had a German online shop I had to order some items, just to know how it feels not to wait 2 weeks or more for something you’ve ordered. I must say, it was awesome :D One of the products I bought is this Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips in “Sunny Coral”.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

Missha is one of the worldwide famous Korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and recently they even opened up an online store for Germany.  The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging. Also here, the cardboard box is made of reflecting material. The design is very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. The packaging of Missha’s The Style Tinted Jelly Lips is also in a different color for each of the five colors available.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

Apart from “Sunny Coral”, which I will review here, you can select between the shades “Pure Red”, “Swan Pink”, “Happy Pink” and “Fresh Mango”. The back side of the card box packaging contains the description of the product in English and Korean. This product is usable for 18 months after opening it.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

The tint does contain beneficial ingredients like Shea Butter, Cupuacu Butter and Mango Extract. It is talc-free, mineral oil free, wax-free and phthalate-free, and does not contain ingredients derived from animals.  The tint itself comes in a soft plastic tube with a hard plastic cap. You have to twist the cap in order to open it, which makes it travel friendly, because it doesn’t accidentally get open in your purse (which occurred to me quite  often with other lip products :’D).

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

The applicator was new and unique to me. It is a brush with is hole in the middle. The product is squeezed out through that hole and dispenses itself on the brush. The brush itself is easy to use and allows to line your lips precisely. At the beginning it was hard to know how much product I had to squeeze out, but after a couple of times I got used to it and now I know how much pressure I need for preventing a mess :D

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

The tint itself is a jelly/glossy type of tint. It feels more like a gloss compared to other jelly type tints, like for example Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint. The color is a nice and bright orange/coral color which is visible on nude skin tone/lips. You’ll also see below how it looks on my lips, which are more pigmented. The color isn’t visible so nicely anymore, but leaves a coral hue to the lips. It also makes the lips look a bit more plum. The feeling of the tint is very moisturizing. It doesn’t dry the lips out. But, since it is more a glossy type of product, it also feels a bit sticky. The staying power is on the shorter side, let’s say around two hours. The scent of the tint is fruity, but it has no taste.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

Except of the fact that the color is only weak on my pigmented lips, I really like this product, especially the applicator was new for me. If you like lipgloss, you’ll like this one as well. I would like to try the darker colors of this range, perhaps they show off better on my lips. You can either buy this on Missha’s online shops. It is on sale for 8 US$ on the US Missha online store, or for 6.90 € on the German Missha online store. As much as I loved to order from a store located in Germany because of the fast delivery, the downside is, that they don’t give samples… Other than this you can get this tint at other korean cosmetics retaillers, like this from W2Bauty for 11.76 US$.

Review: Missha M Everlasting Lip Top Coat

30. July 2014

Matte liptints and lipsticks are one of the trends I observed in the last months. It seems as if every brand comes up with a new tint or stain or other lip product. Recently, I made a comparison beween RiRe Lipmanicure and Clio Lipnicure, which are matte lip laquers, too. A lot of people find these formula too drying, and I agree, because it makes them less daily wearable. For this reason lip top coats are one of the products from interest. I bought Missha M Everlasting Lip Top Coat and I really preferr to use this over the drying lip products for daily use.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_1

Missha is one of the worldwide famous korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and recently they even opened up an online store for Germany, which made me super happy.  The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging. Also here, the cardboard box is made of reflecting material with ornaments. The design is very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. Missha M everlasting Lip Top Coat comes in a long bullet shaped packaging. The part containing the top coat is clear with a light grey gradient, sturdy material, where you can see how much product is left.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_2

Although the product is available in a lot of countries, the description on the cardboard box is in Korean only. You can find a lot of describtion on the online stores sites on the other hand. Here is the description taken from the US site:

Clear top coat for lips!
Non-sticky gloss coating for a smudge free, long lasting wear.

Jojoba Oil and Grape Seed Oil for moisturizing and nourishing benefits.
Moisture Barrier Polymer helps prevent dry, chapped lips.
Features the Light Gel System for a lightweight shine.

It has a soft brush tip for easy application and a perfect finish.

Moreover the packaging shows that this product can be used for 18 months after opened.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_3

The cap really looks beautiful if you look at it more closely.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_4

The applicator of the lip coat is a brush. I really like this applicator. The tip is fine enough to overlay the lips in a detailled way. It also is bendable and soft in use.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_5

Below you see how Missha M everlasting Lip Top Coat looks on Clio’s Lipnicure (on the right). It doesn’t smudge the lip laquer or make it feather. It feels not sticky, but pleasant for a top coat.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_6

Here is the image I showed in my comparison review. You can see how the lip coat looks like on my lips in the bottom of the picture. It gives the lips a nice gloss and hides the dryness of the lip product.

Clio_vs_RiRe_10

There are also lip coats available specific for  Clio’s Lipnicure or for RiRe’s Lipmanicure, but the one from Missha does a good job, too and I don’t think that the other coats will be really different from this one. Also, I discovered, that the Clio Lipnicure which tends to chunk off in large pieces is more wearable with a lip coat, because the fading of the color is less harsh. the ingredients of this lip coat are nice, it includes Jojoba oil and grapeseed oil, so the lips won’t feel drying. You can get this lip top coat from the Missha online stores for around 13 US$ or via ebay. Do you use a top coat for your matte lip products? Do you have any favourite?

Graveyard: June 2014

27. June 2014

This month I’m super on schedule with my empties post. Unbelievable! :D I’m feeling super relaxed at the moment, since I finally received my PHD degree  *(^__^)* I hope that I’ll be able to do much more posts, especially more regularily. There are so many products that are waiting in my draft for being published and so many images which need to be prepared :D But first let’s start with my product empties graveyard for June 2014:

empties_June2014_2

1. Maybelline Collosal Volume Mascara- Repurchase? Yes!

I’ve always been a fan of Maybelline’s Volume mascaras and I bought lots of them in the past. At the moment I’m trying Japanese and Korean mascara’s so I didn’t repurchase, but I could imagine to do sometime.

2. Naobay Oxigenating Cream Moisturizing- Repurchase? No.

I received this with one of my Glossyboxes. The finish of the cream is nice because it feels like mattifying, but the residues of the cream oxidise (funny coincidence regarding the name) in the cap of the tube and I didn’t like that at all.

3. Tonymoly Clean Dew Olive Seed Foam Cleanser- Repurchase? Yes.

Check out my review on this cleanser >>here<<. It is a nice and mild cleanser and it feels quite moisturizing compared to other foam cleansers.

4. Missha Creamy Latte Chocolate Foam Cleanser- Repurchase ? Yes.

This is ideal for chocolate scent lovers. I do love the scent so much!!! The only downside is the stinging if you get it into your eyes….>_< So you have to be extra carefull. check out my review >>here<<.

5. Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire- Repurchase? Yes!

I seldom write anything about perfume, although I planned to do some reviews in future. I really loved this scent and the design and name of this product is so adorable. It is a sweet/ flowery scent. Loved it!♥

6. P2 Color victim Nailpolish- Repurchase? Yes.

This local drugstore nailpolish is cheap and has a nice color pay-off. I bought it a couple of times and I would buy it anytime again (as soon as I’m running out of red colored nailpolishes XD)

7. O.S.T. Original Pure Vitamin C Serum- Repurchase? Double-Yes!

This is the most loved product of this month’s empties! I really think that everybody should try this serum at least for a couple of week. It is so effective! I’m really sad that I used it up, but I’m sure that it will find a way back to me ♥♥♥ Check out my review >>here<<.

I was pretty successfull in using up some items finally. :) If you get any chance grab a bottle of the O.S.T. vitamin C serum. I used to mix it with the Eucerin even Brighter cream (which I loved, too) and it worked greatly. If I won’t try any other item during summer which will convince me even more, I’m planning to buy this combination for winter again. :)

Did you try any of these products?

Review: Missha Magic Cushion Case

24. June 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Can you believe that this is finally the first time I bought a cushion product?! The foundation/bb cushion trend goes on for quite some time now, but caused by a huge pile of BB/CC cream tubes I resisted the urge to buy a new one, even if the packaging type was highly raved about. After all, I decided to try another kind of cushion product: Missha’s Magic Cushion Case! Yes, you read correctly, it is only a case! More precisely, it is a case for your own D.I.Y. BB Cushion!

Missha Magic Cushion Case

The typical BB Cushion is a compact like case containing BB cream or foundation absorbed by a sponge (cushion). Using a puff you can apply the BB cream in a very lightly and natural appearing way. Almost all Korean brands carry their own cushion products by now. Mishha’s Magic Cushion Case on the other hand gives you the possibility to create and mix your own and favourite BB/CC cream or foundation in such a cushion case. I love this idea, since it gives you the possibility to use up your existing bb creams before starting to hoard various different cushion bb creams ;)

Missha Magic Cushion Case

The instruction on Missha’s Magic Cushion Case Cardbox packaging is written in Korean only, but after some search online you’ll find out how to use it, although the images on the box are self-explanatory. In principle you have to fill the container of the cushion case, add the cushion, and wait a couple of minutes while the sponge absorbs the bb cream. I put mine upside down. Afterwards you can start dabbing your puff onto the soaked cushion. Depending on the fluid-y of the used bb cream the soaking process is quicker or slower…I would say the liquid bb/cc creams are best suited for these D.I.Y. cushions.

Missha Magic Cushion Case

Missha’s Magic Cushion Case is made of a sturdy plastic compact, with an included mirror. Parts of the case are metallic/silver and prone to fingerprints. The case itself closes tightly and so does the plastic lid protecting the cushion and separating it from the puff and the mirror.

The cushion and the puff are packed separately when you receive them. The puff looks like the typical cushion puff, with a blue colored side and white colored side with an attached finger strap (is this how you call that thingy?). The puff has a very soft feeling to it.

Missha Magic Cushion Case

Below you can see how I used my Magic Cushion Case. I created a mix of Skinfood’s Vita Water Drop CC cream and Innisfree Jejubija Anti Trouble BB cream. For mixing the creams together I used a Q-tip of which I cut the cotton part off (keep in mind that you have to add the cushion on top, so don’t fill the pan up completely).

After creating your personal mixture, you’ll simply have to add the cushion and wait for the BB/CC cream to absorb and your own BB Cushion is ready to go!:)

What do you think? Would you like to create your own Cushion foundation in this way? Or do you prefer the ones, which are ready to us? I think this is a great way to use BB creams which don’t match alone but in combination with other creams. The pan is ideal for mixing up your desired BB/CC creams together. All in all, I really do like this case and the idea and I can recommend you to try it for yourself.

Did anyone try out these kind of D.I.Y. cushion cases?

You can get this case at W2Beauty for US$ 17.79. There is also a ready refill for it, which can be used instead of an own BB cream. It is called Missha UV Cushion Base. It has SPF 50 and costs US$ 9.50 for two sachets containing 7 ml of the bb cream. It is available in two shades.

Graveyard: April and May 2014

5. June 2014

Another collective empties post. I’m trying hard to use up my hoarded cosmetics and skincare and I’m doing quite good :D I emptied these products the last two months and I’ve already collected some more items in the last couple of days :D Let’s see what is in my product graveyard for April and May.

1. Philip B. African Shea Butter Gentle and Conditioning Shampoo – Repurchase? Yes and no.

I enjoyed using this shampoo. It made my hair smooth and I didn’t have to use the straigtheners as often as I usually do. The only downside is the price, which is the main reason I don’t buy it again.

2. Nail Paint by Berry M. – Repurchase? Yes and No.

I love the color. It is the kind of red everybody needs. Unfortunately it is not available locally for me. I would buy it, if I had the chance again.

3. Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream – Repurchase? Yes.

It is a nice eyecream and the huuuuuge jar contains product for forever…I could not use it up, it is simply too much. But the feeling of the cream is nice. And the packaging is adorable. Check out my review >>here<<.

4. Missha Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream Repurchase? Yes.

I love the scent!!!And I was happy to use it every morning. It is a pitty it comes in a jar, because it is not the most convenient packaging. Other than this it is a nice product. Check out my review >>here<<.

5. Just Cavali Just- Repurchase? No.

A perfumed body lotion. It was nice to use but it is not the scent I oersonally would spend money on ;)

6. CrazySmooth antiFrizz Conditioning – Repurchase? No

Surprisingly this conditioner was really effective. It helped detangling my hair and was satisfying. It is not my favourite scent though, but it is vegan.

7. Mizon Snail Recovery Cream Gel – Repurchase? Yes.

I love this one. It is cheap and effective and I would totally repurchase. I bought two tubes together and the second one is almost empty, too. check out my review >>here<<.

8. Mitchel and Pitch Body creme-Repurchase?Yes!

I love the scent. It is similar to Lush’s Dreamcream. I definitively would love to repurchase either this or the Dreamcream.

9. The Body Shop Cacao Butter Body Scrub Repurchase?Yes.

This scrub is great. It has a delicious scent and makes the skin feel super smooth. I would love to repurchase it.

Do you know any of these products or would you like to try any of these?

Graveyard: November & December 2013 Empties

11. January 2014

I was a bit lazy about these posts for the last two months, so here are my empties for November and December of last year:
Aok Pur Balance Seasand Peeling: Repurchase?Yes. Since my Skinfood Black Sugar Scrub Foam was empty I needed something which new, and since I was looking around in local drugstore’s I saw this product, which I had 2-3 times before and since I liked it back then I decided to go for it again. I love the scent, but some may dislike it, because it smells of clay…I know, it is strange to like that kind of scent, however…
Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream: Repurchase?Yes. I didn’t expect I would like this cream that much, but this is really a nice cream. My skin looked so good after using it, especially since I mixed it with O.S.T Vitamin C Serum (review >>here<<). After trying Benton’s and Mizon’s cream, I will probably buy this one in full size (this was only a trial sized jar). The only thing I disliked was the scent, because it was basically scent free. For some of you this might be perfect though. I could live with this point nevertheless.
Super Aqua Marine Stem Cell Defending Cream. Repurchase? Yes. Okay, I have a lot of Day creams on my “repurchase” list, I know, but there is still so many to try. This one is one of the first moisturizers I bought which made me happy and which I rebought 3 times already. It simply does the things it claims to do and it is great for dry skin (review >>here<<). If you have super dry skin I would rather recommend you Missha’s Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Cream (review >>here<<).
Nature Republic Hawaiian Fresh Mango Pack. Repurchase? Yes. I reviewed it >>here<< and I loved it. I could imagine getting the tube version of this pack. This is a refreshing, fruity pack which makes the skin feel really soft and nourished.
Beyond Phytogenic Facial Foam. Repurchase? Not necessarily. This is a good product and the ingredients are good. The scent was herbal and although I normally don’t like herbal scents, I liked using it in the evening…Nevertheless there are probably other cleansing foams I would like to buy. See the review >>here<<.
The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Shower Gel? Repurchase? Not necessarily. I love TBS products, and I enjoyed this one as well. It smells great and makes a nice foam. But since it is not my favourite scen I would rather go for another shower gel of TBS ;) That doesn’t mean that I was dissappointed about it.
Weleda Citrus Bodylotion: Repurchase? No. I didn’t like the scent. I was like bathroom cleaner.
Most of the other products I used were samples, or masks. So I didn’t keep them.
Hope you enjoyed reading.:)
