Review: Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

22. January 2015

Here is the last review from the products I received in the honestskin Special Gift Event, the Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream. I only have tried a few Nature Republic products, but I like their brand’s appearance and often also the packaging which reminds me of Innisfree. This BB cream claims to be formulated with 502 mg Triple Collagen Complex and be very nourishing for your skin. It should give your skin a radiant glow. Let’s see how this BB cream worked for me:

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

Nature Republic is a Korean brand focusing on natural cosmetics. Their brand ideology is to take what nature gives and use it for our benefits. They focus on specific natural ingredients from all over the world. Their packaging reflects this ideology by using recylcled paper and soy ink for their cardboard boxes. This is also one of the reasons the brand reminds me of Innisfree. The Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream comes in a cardboard box like this. The packaging design is simple, but contains a lot of description on the sides. Most of the description is in Korean, but you’ll also find a short description and ingredients list in English.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

The ingredients of this BB cream are mostly green and yellow flagged according to COSDNA. You can look up the ingredients >> here <<. This BB cream contains Titanium Dioxide and Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate for UV protection. It has SPF 27 PA++, which is nice. It also contains soluble collagen and hydrolyzed collagen as moisturizing ingredients, but also some plant extracts. What I really like about the cardboard packaging is the braille for blind people, so they now what they are grabbing.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

The Nature Republic collagen HD Essencial BB Cream comes in a plastic tube packaging. Unfortunatelly, the tube doesn’t come with a pump. The tube contains 50 g of BB cream which is a good amount and will last you for some time. The plastic tube has a good quality and doesn’t seem to be any cheap plastic at all.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

A short description is written on the backside of the tube in Korean. You’ll also find the production date imprinted on it.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

The BB cream itself comes in only one shade which is a lighter one. It has a creamy, lightly fluid structure and a slight scent, which is not overpowering. The scent isn’t recognizable after application anymore.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

When performing an oil test on a blotting paper you’ll see that it shows some oilyness after 1 hour. I have dry skin, so I didn’t see any oilyness on my face while wearing, but for oily skintypes it could be better to use a loose powder over this BB cream.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

Here you can see how it looks on my skin. I applied my normal moisturizing skincare routine before. After it adsorbed I applied the BB cream with my fingers. The coverage of this BB cream is medium, but buildable. If you have only some red spots like I do in the image, it will cover it up properly. I would not say that this BB cream has a dewy finish. It has no matte finish either, so it is something inbetween. You see that my skin has the same dewyness it had after moisturizing. I think this BB cream adapts nicely to the skintone and leaves a natural finish. I also like that it doesn’t give a white cast in flash photography. The staying power is not super long, after some hours it tends to fade away, especially at the T-zone. If you have very dry skin it might get flaky, so I would advise you to use a facial mist inbetween.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream

All in all, this is a nice BB cream for a adequate pricing. It looks natural and doesn’t make you look like a ghost. The coverage will be good enough for people with only light skin concerns. The Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream retails for 12.78 US$ at honestskin Unfortunatelly, this item has been discontinued by Nature Republic :(. Did you try out this BB cream already? Do you have any favourite BB cream from Nature Republic?

Review: Etude House Color Lips-fit

8. January 2015

I showed you previously the products I received from the Honestskin Special Gift Event and the Etude House Color Lips-fit was one of the products I received. This liquid lipstick line from Etude House was released in summer 2014. I’ve been curious to try it since then, but I had too many lipsticks around and moreover I wasn’t sure if I would like the matte texture, which it is supposed to provide. Here is my impression on the Etude House Color Lips-fit:

EH_ColorLipsFit_1

Some words about Etude House to start with: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Also here, the packaging design looks lovely. You’ll find dots and bows and stars all over the packaging. The color of the cardboard packaging is pink, of course. There are 7 shades available for the Color Lips-fot, plus a glossy top coat, if you prefer a glossy finish instead of a matte one. I received shade OR201 called “Dream Fit Coral”. I rarely buy light shades myself, because it usually lookd awkward on me, if it is not even and opaque enough, because my natural lip color is darker. I was especially curious, having received this shade, how it will turn out on my lips.

EH_ColorLipsFit_2

The cardboard packaging contains descriptions in Korean and English. Since Etude House has opened also an online worldwide store, you’ll also find the English description there, plus the ingredients for the products. According to COSDNA the ingredients of the product are safe. It even contains titanium dioxide as sunprotection.

EH_ColorLipsFit_3

The bottle itself has a beautiful design, too, with the same stars, bows and dots as the cardboard packaging. It is a see-through plastic bottle, so you see the color of your liquid lipstick. As you can see in my images, the color looks a bit uneven in the bottle. Keep in mind to shake the bottle before you use it. It contains 10 g of product and comes with a white cap with an attached angled applicator sponge.

EH_ColorLipsFit_4

The product itself feels soft and smooth while applying. It dries off to a matte product after a while and feels velvety on the lips. It is not transfer proof, unfortunately, and smears off easily, as you can see in my swatches below.

EH_ColorLipsFit_5

Since it is a bright color is is unforgivable to dry lips and it will settle in all your lip lines and make the product look patchy. This makes it difficult to apply an even and oaque layer. If you have pigmented lips the challenge will be harder. I’ll show you the Etude House Color Lips-fit on my lips below. It is a very bright coral shade, almost neonlike…definitively a summer color.

EH_ColorLipsFit_6

Since it is not smear or transfer proof it is also not long-lasting. It wears off very quickly and in the case of this shades also leaves a ugly stain on the borders of your lips, which I don’t like at all. If you have brighter lips naturally, the effect might be different on you, but if you have darker lips than this color it will not look very nice. I’d love to try a darker shade to compare, but for the moment I personally would not rebuy the Etude House Color Lips-fit. Apart from the color, the short staying power and the feeling of dry lips after half an hour puts me off. The velvet finish on the other site is a nice one and also the texture glides smoothly on the lips while applying. You can buy this product from honestskin for 6.71 US$, which is agood value. Shipping depends on the amount of products you buy. Oh, another thing, you will get some points when you register on their page, and you can also collect more points for doing reviews of the product on their. These points can be spent as money for your future order. Check out about this >>here<<.

Top 20 asian cosmetics products 2014

7. January 2015

Hello my dearest readers! Happy new year to all of you! I know I’m a bit late for a roundup of last year, but I didn’t want to start into 2015 with simply a new review, which is why I decided to show you my favourite 20 asian cosmetics products which I reviewed in 2014. It was quite difficult to decide because I have quite a few products I liked last year, but I could shorten it to 20 products, including makeup, skincare, nails, masks and even a hair product. I still have some products I bought last year, but I didn’t review them, and I decided to not include them into my top 20 of 2014, but rather save them for this year, after I did the reviews :) Here is my selection of products:

Review: Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

29. December 2014

I’ve wanted to try the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack the first time I saw it on Wishtrend. This lip tint pack dries to a rubbery layer on your lips and can be peeled off afterwards, leaving your lips tinted. This kind of lip tattoo is one of the trends in Korea during the past year. I read another review for the old version of this lip tint pack on Something Beautiful (it is written in Geman, though).

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

Berrisom is one of the Korean brands available at Wishtrend. They are mostly known for the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack I’m showing you here, but they offers some more products in the skincare range, too. The Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack (there was an old version called Berrisom Chu~ My Lip Tint Pack and now it is Oops~ My Lip Tint Pack) is available in 8 different shades. You can use these lip tint packs in order to give your lip a different tinted color. The packaging is designed with kissing lips all over. The color of each box is adjusted to the shade of the tint pack. The color I chose is called “Sexy Red” and is a burgundy/cherry red color.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

The description on the cardboard box is in Korean, but you can look up a very detailled description in English on Wishtrend. There you will also find the ingredients of this lip tint pack, which are all safe according to COSDNA. Moreover, this product contains a lot of plant (fruit) extracts in order to give some care to your lips, too. This makes it a “mask function lip tint” according to the product description.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

The tint comes in a tube with a plastic applicator. This makes the application a bit tricky, because you can not draw any sharp lines, but on the other hand, since it is a peel-off tint pack it is not too important to have precise outlines. For a gradiant lip tint look you’ll have to apply the product on the inner sides of your lips anyways. The lip tint pack has a jelly like constistency, which is a bit sticky (and it has to be), since you’ll have to peel it off afterwards.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

In order for the lip tint pack to work you have to apply a layer of the product on your lips. It doesn’t need to be too thick, just it has to cover your lips. Then, you’ll leave the pack to dry. As soon as the lip tint pack has dried you can peel off an edge and remove the rubber-like layer of the tint. Your lips will be stained from the pack in color you selected.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

Et voilá, your lips look natural and yet colored. The staying power of this stain is good, as long as you don’t eat anything. It doesn’t transfer either. Keep in mind that the tint will look best on your lips, if you exfoliate your lips before, so your lips are not too dry or flaky. I didn’t have the feeling that the peeling off hurt my lips in any way. It is also best to start off with your upper lip, because it usually stains less than the lower lip. If you start with the upper lip and peel it off after the lower lip, too, it will have some more time to get stained. The only downside of this lip is, that it takes some time to dry, so it is not an easy to use product for a quick touch-up. The good thing about the new version is, that you have 8 shades you can choose and the volume of the tube has been increased from 10 to 15 mg. You’ll get each tube for 13.95 US$ from Wishtrend. At the moment you’ll receive a free Berrisom Lip Tint Cleanser with each purchase of the Berrisom Lip Tint Pack. The lip tint cleanser retails for 9.90 US$ when bought alone and is an exfoliating lip scrub combined with a cleanser for lip products.

I also made a post about the promotions Wishtrend offers for December >>here<<. Also, keep in mind their friend-referral program: You can receive a 5 Us$ referral coupon if you use my invitation code 17939205 upon registration and you’ll receive this voucher immediately. There will be a specific field in your registration form called “friends invitation program” where you can put the code mentioned above. This way new customers can safe 5 US$ which is a great possibility to safe some money. As soon as the promotion codes for January are available I’ll make a post for it, too.

Who tried these Berrisom My Lip Tint Packs already?

Review: Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

24. December 2014

Just in time for the launch of the 2nd Pony x Memebox collaboration I will present you my review on their first collaboration, the Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette. I knew that I needed this palette the first time I saw it on the Korean Memebox page. I really love the tutorials from the Korean Youtuber Pony and I can really recommend you to check out her Youtube videos :)

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

MeMeBox is a box service company, offering a wide amount of different beauty boxes. Unlike most western beauty boxes which have to be subscribed for on a monthly basis, MeMeBoxes can be preordered but that doesn’t force you to buy more than the desired box. They ship to many countries and the products they send in their boxes are mainly Korean. Apart from their monthly Global Boxes, they also have a huge amount of themed boxes,MiniBoxes, Boxes where you know what is inside, so called Superboxes with a higher value and so on (check out the links at the end of the post)…just check out their online store and you’ll find a huge selection of different boxes. Since they have become very popular within the blogger community they sell out pretty fast, but they bring up new beauty boxes so fast, that you cannot keep up with them anyways. That was at least my experience during this year. At the end of this post I will make a list of all the discounts they offer at the moment, too. At the moment they seem to be focusing on their own brand and some collaborations with well-known blogger in the asian beauty blogger community. One of their most famous collaboration is with the Korean Youtuber Pony, also known for her collaborations with Innisfree and Etude House. Her collaboration with Memebox resulted in two eyeshadow palettes, the second one just launched yesterday. Here, I will show you my impression of the first eyeshadow palette:

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

The Pony x Memebox eyeshadow palette comes in a cardboard packaging and has the size of a smartphone and is only slightly thicker than one. I would say it is a sleek packaging in simple black color with white font. The cardboard box contains descriptions of the product in Korean. It displays the name of the eyeshadows of the palette on the backside, too.

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

The backside of the palette itself also shows the expiration date and lists the names of the eyeshadow colors. The material of the palette is a matte plastic. It opens and closes nicely and makes the appearance of not easily flipping open, which means it can be carried around without big fears.

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

Openening the palette reveals 8 eyeshadow colors, two brushes and a clear plastic sheet for separating the eyeshadows from the mirror in the lid. The mirror fills the whole lid and is large and therefore useful. The plastic sheet also has the names of the eyeshadow colors printed on.

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

Four of the colors are matte and the other four colors are shimmery. I like that point a lot, because usually most asian eyeshadows are shimmery :D The brushes have a bistle side and a normal eyeshadow sponge applicator side. Actually I didn’t use them, because I had the feeling that these brushes cause more fall-off than my usual eyeshadow brushes.

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

Below, I prepared the swatches for the 8 colors on my arm. The difference between the four matte eyeshadows and the shimmery eyeshadows are quite obvious. I actually love all the shades, especially the shine rosegold shade.

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

You’ll find an quick eye make-up using the shimmery eyeshadows shine rosegold, shine gold and glam cocao. Sorry, I’m not the best makeup artsit for eyeshadow looks but I tried my best XD

Pony x Memebox Eyeshadow Palette

The staying power is okay. It is even better when using an eye primer /eyeshadow base. I observed some fall-off when not using primer/base before. The colors are neutral and I think that everybody should have a couple of colors they love in this palette. The Pony x Memebox eyeshadow palette retails for 18 US$ on MeMeBox. As I said earlier, yesterday the second Pony x Memebox eyeshadow palette launched, which retails for 20 US$. There is a bundle for both palettes for 29 US$, which I think, is a perfect deal. They also have varoius other deals. If you are interested you might want to check out all offers >>here<<. Take advantage of the 5US$ coupon code you find below.

If you are curious about MeMeBox and their products, aswell as their enourmous selection of different beautyboxes check out their page >>here<<. Check out the value sets and the possibility to upgrade to free express shipping, too. MeMebox has also a couple promotions:

Review: Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails

5. December 2014

A while ago Etude House released an adorable nail polish line called Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails. There was a “Sweet Idea” competition called out by Etude House and the fans could participate and send in their suggestions. One of them was selected and realized. I really think this is a great idea to involve the fans of Etude House by such competitions, and I have to say that this line truly is a cute gift idea– or maybe also a treat for yourself….:)

Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails

First of all, some words about Etude House: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. The Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails set consists of two nail polish bottles, each designed like one half of a rabbits face. Together they form the complete rabbit. There are 5 different sets available, each rabbit face has another facial expression though:

No. 01 Dalmatian Bunny : Black Bunny Glitter + White French
No. 02 Analog Bunny : White Bunny Glitter + Black French
No. 03 Pink Milky way Bunny : Lavender Pink + Silver Spangle French
No. 04 Red Carrot Bunny : Cherry Red + Shimmering Gold French
No. 05 Mint Gold Moon Bunny : Retro Mint + Jewel Gold Pearl Powder

I selected No. 04, because I think the red and gold combination is best suited for the upcoming festative season :)

Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails

As you can see, the packaging design is really pretty and everybody loving these cute packaging designs will fall in love with it. Each of the two nail polish bottles contains 4 ml of product. The backside of the cardboard box contains description in Korean and in English, but you can also find these information on the official global webpage of Etude House. You will also find the ingredients there :)

Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails

Even removed from the cardboard box the bottles look adorable ♥

Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails

The two nail polish bottles come with two different brushes: The red polish has a normal polish brush. The golden polish has a thin brush and you can draw easily dots or lines with it. I really like this idea. I used the nail polish in the picture below and I applied one layer of the red nail polish. As you can see the color is opaque. It also dries in a good time (it is not super quickly drying, but it doesn’t take long time either).

Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails

I think the Etude House Sweet Idea Bunny Nails are a cute gift idea. I don’t have any complaints about these and they do a good job as nail polish. The thin brush for one of the polishes makes it easy to do some nail art, if you like, too. I received mine from  KollectionK for 7.10 US$, but it is sold out there at the moment. You can also get this from testerkorea for 4500 Won (around 4,50 US$). What do you think of the Sweet Idea competition?

♥ PS: Check out my post on Beautiful AM Moisturizer and PM Vitalizer. There is a giveaway for you, too :) ♥

Review: Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil

20. November 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

I bought this Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil together with the Innisfree Eyeshadow Crayon and the Soy Essence Mascara during some sale at Testerkorea, and I must admitt that I love all three products and use them on daily basis, which makes me even more happy, considering the money I could save while buying these. :)

Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil

Innisfree is an eco-friendly Korean skincare and makeup brand focusing on natural ingredients and recycle packaging. The design of their products is simply and neat and nicely reflects the ideology of the brand. Innisfree products are ususally free from harmful ingredients. Innisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil is said to be formulated with green tea extracts. Moreover it is paraben free, artificial scent free, mineral oil free, animal nature material free, phthalate free, acrylamide free, dioxin free, formaldehyde free, and talc free, which makes it a 9-free product. This twistable eyebrow pencil comes in a plastic pencil tube with two different ends. The packaging not special and simply white except of the brand name written on it.

Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil

The pencil is available in 4 different shades: 01. grey, 02. black, 03. brown and 04. deep brown. I bought shade No. 03 in brown. One of the caps is labelled with a sticker displaying the shade of the pencil. The other cap has the manifacture date printed on. If you remove the caps you’ll find that one side of the pencil contains the actual brow pencil, a flat shaped bullet, the other end is a eyebrow brush or also called “Spoolie Brush”. It is very useful to have both in one product, it makes using the pencil easier, if you brushed your eyebrows first and also it is convenient to take this in a bag or for travelling.

Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil

The color of the pencil is a solid brown color and it is easy to blend out, but not too creamy either. It looks very natural when filling the brows and can also be used with darker eyebrows (mine are dark/brown/black). Below you’ll see how it looks applied. The flat bullet makes it easy to draw the desired eyebrow shape, too.

Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil

I’m usually using the Etude House Perfect Eyebrow Kit for my eyebrows, and this is the first Korean flat eyebrow pencil I’ve been trying, so I don’t have any comparison yet. A lot of people like the one from Etude House, too, it seems.

EDIT 2017: I love the Innisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil and the soft texture and yet strong pigmentation. The name from this pencil was changed from Innisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil to Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil.

You can get the Etude House Perfect Eyebrow here:

W2Beauty for 3US$ (use coupon code berries10 for 10% off sitewide with free shipping)

Innisfree Official for 4US$ (15% off coupon upon registration)

Amazon.com for ~5US$

What type of eyebrow pencil do you use? Which one is your favourite?

19. November 2014

When I received my MeMeBox Rose Scentbox I was especially happy about two products from the brand Rosemine, one foam cleanser and the Rosemine Plumpy Tint I’ll show you here. Both have an adorable packaging and lovers of floral design will be more than happy about the appearance of these products. By the way, the Rosemine Foam Cleanser will be reviewed soon, too, which became a member of my daily skincare routine product family. :)

Rosemine Plumpy Tint Roseberry

The brand Rosemine is made by the Korean cosmetic manufacturing company called “EVAS”. The name is not chosen randomly, I think, because they stress the point, that their brand is wants to “give people clean & safe lifestyle (by Christian principle)”. I’m feeling a bit discomfortable if a cosmetic brand or company also makes religious remarks, since skincare and cosmetics should be reaching beyond religious aspects…Nevertheless, let’s have a closer look at the Rosemine Plumpy Tint: This is a jelly type lip tint available in two different shades, “Princess Coral” and “Roseberry”. I’m showing you the shade “Roseberry” here, a red berry shade. I remember that I saw this lip tint on one of Pony’s beauty turorials on youtube, too.

Rosemine Plumpy Tint Roseberry

As I already said, the packaging of the product line is inspired by roses and has a beautiful and girly cardboard box. The description of the tint is in Korean only, unfortunately, that is why I cannot provide you with more detailled information. The lip tint comes in a plastic tube with a plastic applicator. The only ingredient information comes on the frontside of the tube, because it says: “a very fresh french rose water and ginseng extract for irresistable and attractive lips”. The tint itself is a jelly type tint and smells very lightly of roses. Once applied I don’t smell it anymore.

The application can be a bit tricky because it tends to get patchy and you have to apply quickly. I normally apply 2 layers and use a lip brush. I noticed that this gives the best results. I also noticed that the tint seems to separate into two phases if you don’t use it for some time. You’ll get an oily phase and a colored, jelly phase. Keep in mind to shake your tube in order to prevent this. The good thing is, that the oily phase makes your lips feel smooth and the lip tint doesn’t dry your lips in the end, but it looks kind of glossy.

Somehow I also did have my problems with the tube. It seemed liuke everytime I used this lip tint I pressed out too much of the product. It is quite hard to controll the amount you want to use. But on the other hand, once the color is appllied it leaves a great stain and looks very pretty and visible on the lips. The result makes me very happy and the packaging aswell…so if they update the difficult formula, it is be the perfect tint. The tube contains 13 g of product and the retail price on the company’s page is around 9 US$. I received mine with the MeMeBox Rose Scentbox, but it is also available in the MeMeShop for 11 US$. If you want to buy it from their shop keep in mind the various promotions they offer:

Review: Innisfree Shadow Pencil

28. October 2014

Another Innisfree product I bought during testerkorea’s brand sale, apart from the Innisfree Soy Essence Volume Mascara, is the Innisfree Shadow Pencil in “Milk Tea”. This is a eyeshadow crayon from the Innisfree summer collection 2014 and is supposed to help you to create a waterproof eye make-up in a quick way.

Innisfree Shadow Pencil

Innisfree is an eco-friendly Korean skincare and makeup brand focusing on natural ingredients and recycle packaging. The design of their products is simply and neat and nicely reflects the ideology of the brand. Innisfree products are ususally free from harmful ingredients. For the Innisfree Shadow Pencils, I didn’t find any specific information about the ingredients, but I believe that they will stick to their brand’s ideology. As you can see, the eyeshadow pencil has a simple, but yet cute design, by having some dots around one side of the pencil. I don’t know about you, but I usually fall for products with dots…(I have a lot of dotted clothes especially XD). One side of the pencil shows the color of the pencil, the other side – actually the side of the crayon- is protected by a clear plastic cap. The bottom side displaying the color is the twistable part of the pencil and enables to twist the crayon up. Also, the production date is printed on that side. Other than this, the descriptions on the crayon are in Korean.

Innisfree Shadow Pencil

I twisted up the pencil as much as possible, and you see that the crayon doesn’t contain much of the product actually. The bullet is around 3 cm maximum and the capacity of the pencil is 3.5 g. In total you’ll find 10 different shades of this crayon. There are quite some nice shades, which I would love to try, but at the time of the brand sale when I bought mine, most colors were sold out (now all are available again). The name of this shade (no.5) is quite pretty actually, because it is called “Milk Tea”. The color is swatched on the back of my hand below.

Innisfree Shadow Pencil

Innisfree Shadow Pencil in “Milk Tea” is a light brown and shimmery shade. The shadow doesn’t contain typical larger glitter particles though, but reminds me of a metallic kind of shimmer. The application of the pencil is amazingly creamy and soft. It glides super smoothly on the skin! ♥ The creamy texture is easily to blend, but once it is settled (1-2 minutes) it stays super solid on your skin. It is waterproof and doesn’t budge at all. If you don’t give it the time to settle, it may  settle in your lines though. For such a light color the pigmentation is also great. I only did one stroke in the swatch above. Since it is waterproof and it builds a kind of film on your skin once it is dried, it is also long lasting. I absolutely love this eye shadow pencil. It is perfect for taking around, easy to apply, since you don’t need any brushes and it is long lasting…perfect! You can get these Innisfree Shadow Pencils from testerkorea for  around 7 US$ (7200 Won). I’m thinking about getting some more shades, like “Cherry Blossoms”, a pink shade, or “Brown City”, a darker brown eyeshadow. Anybody else who has fallen in love with these shadow pencils?

Review: Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

27. October 2014

I showed you the Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks a couple of posts ago and here is another product from this line, the Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher! This collection called Princess Happy Ending is dedicted to the different Disney princesses. Here you’ll see the blush from this collection dedicted to Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…The cardboard box of this blush again confirms how much love for the details they put into their packaging ♥ It looks like a fairytale book with ornament roses matching the story of Beauty and the Beast. Not only the front site looks beautiful, but also the other sides of the cardboeard box. You even see the silouette of each princess above the barcode of the product.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

The product description on the cardboard box is in Korean and in English. The blush comes in two shades: Pink Shine Rose and Coral Shine Rose. I selected the Coral Shine Rose Verion, No. 2.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

On the side of the packaging it says “I want so much more than they’ve got planned”, resuming up the ideas of Rose when she dreams of having her adventures. It is really cute. :) The ingredients are written in English, too:

Talc, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Sterate, Nylon-12, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Magnesium Stearae, Isopropyl Myristate, Cl 73360, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Caprylyl Glycolm  Cl 77492, Cl 15850:1, Fragnance, 1,2-Hexanediol, Rose Extract, Propanediol, Cl 77499, Illicium Verum (anise) Fruit Extract

You can find the list on COSDNA, too, and check for the single ingredients. Most of them are either green or yellow flagged. The good point is, that the blush contains titanium dioxide, which works as a sunscreen/ sunprotection.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

Like the paper packaging, the packaging of the blush is beautiful, too. It comes in a plastic container in pink, with the same rose ornaments like the rest of the packaging The backside says which shade the blush has and also has the production date printed on. If you open the plastic lid, you’ll find a beautiful rose shaped powder blush underneath. The coral color contains a golden shimmer and looks really, really pretty. Unfortunately, the lid doesn’t have an included mirror for application on the go and it doesn’t come with a brush either.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

Let’s have a closer look at the powder blush and how it looks swatched on my hands:

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

As you can see, the blush has a nice pigmentation. The golden shimmer looks really elegant together with the coral shade and reminds me of NARS Orgasm swatches I saw on various blogs (but I don’t own the blush myself, so I cannot make any direct comparison). The blush can be blended in easily, too, so you can only create a soft look if desired.  I can only repeat myself and say, that I adore the design of this product line from Etude House. Below you can see all my three products together. ♥

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

If you are looking for a golden/coral powder blush you might wanna try this blush, especially if you also love the theme of the product line. I’m also very happy with the coral color and I think that I prefer it to the pink version of the blush. (Of course this depends also on your personal preferences.) You can get this at KollectionK for 10.99 US$.
