Review: Missha M Everlasting Lip Top Coat

30. July 2014

Matte liptints and lipsticks are one of the trends I observed in the last months. It seems as if every brand comes up with a new tint or stain or other lip product. Recently, I made a comparison beween RiRe Lipmanicure and Clio Lipnicure, which are matte lip laquers, too. A lot of people find these formula too drying, and I agree, because it makes them less daily wearable. For this reason lip top coats are one of the products from interest. I bought Missha M Everlasting Lip Top Coat and I really preferr to use this over the drying lip products for daily use.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_1

Missha is one of the worldwide famous korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and recently they even opened up an online store for Germany, which made me super happy.  The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging. Also here, the cardboard box is made of reflecting material with ornaments. The design is very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. Missha M everlasting Lip Top Coat comes in a long bullet shaped packaging. The part containing the top coat is clear with a light grey gradient, sturdy material, where you can see how much product is left.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_2

Although the product is available in a lot of countries, the description on the cardboard box is in Korean only. You can find a lot of describtion on the online stores sites on the other hand. Here is the description taken from the US site:

Clear top coat for lips!
Non-sticky gloss coating for a smudge free, long lasting wear.

Jojoba Oil and Grape Seed Oil for moisturizing and nourishing benefits.
Moisture Barrier Polymer helps prevent dry, chapped lips.
Features the Light Gel System for a lightweight shine.

It has a soft brush tip for easy application and a perfect finish.

Moreover the packaging shows that this product can be used for 18 months after opened.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_3

The cap really looks beautiful if you look at it more closely.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_4

The applicator of the lip coat is a brush. I really like this applicator. The tip is fine enough to overlay the lips in a detailled way. It also is bendable and soft in use.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_5

Below you see how Missha M everlasting Lip Top Coat looks on Clio’s Lipnicure (on the right). It doesn’t smudge the lip laquer or make it feather. It feels not sticky, but pleasant for a top coat.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_6

Here is the image I showed in my comparison review. You can see how the lip coat looks like on my lips in the bottom of the picture. It gives the lips a nice gloss and hides the dryness of the lip product.

Clio_vs_RiRe_10

There are also lip coats available specific for  Clio’s Lipnicure or for RiRe’s Lipmanicure, but the one from Missha does a good job, too and I don’t think that the other coats will be really different from this one. Also, I discovered, that the Clio Lipnicure which tends to chunk off in large pieces is more wearable with a lip coat, because the fading of the color is less harsh. the ingredients of this lip coat are nice, it includes Jojoba oil and grapeseed oil, so the lips won’t feel drying. You can get this lip top coat from the Missha online stores for around 13 US$ or via ebay. Do you use a top coat for your matte lip products? Do you have any favourite?

Review: Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint

17. July 2014

Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint is one of my discoveries I received in MeMeBox Global 11 previously. I didn’t know the brand Witch’s Pouch before, but it is a Korean brand and the appearance of the sample product which I received convinced me to like the brand directly. While using it, my first impression even grew stronger and I can assure you, that this is a very nice lip tint and worth a try.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_2

The sample sized tint comes in a pink packaging, displaying a witch’s hat, which refers to the brand name, as you can guess. On the back side it contains the Korean describtion and the information on the brand’s web page. there are three different shades available. This one is called “Funky Bloom” and it is shade No. 3.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_3

Inside the packaging you’ll fin a tiny version of the tint. It is one my favourite and most travel-friendly sized tints :D

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_4

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_5

The tint comes with a straight applicator. The tint itself is a milk-type tint and glides smoothly on the lips. Thereby, the applicator is convenient to use.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_6

The color is a nice pink shade. It smells of grapefruit and the scent reminds me of “Fanta Pink Grapefruit” drink, if you know it by any chance XD. After I swatched it on my hand and washed my hands afterwards a noticeable stain was left behind, so the staying power is nice, too :) The tint gives the lips a sublte pink color and it also shows up on my darker lips.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_1

According to MeMeBox, this tint in it’s fullsize costs 14 US$. I didn’t find were to buy it yet, but if you live in Korea it might be easier to find. Also, take a look at their webpage in that case. I think the price is pretty reasonable, sice the quality of the tint is nice, too :) If you get a chance to try it, I can reccomend it to you :) Anybody else knowing the brand Witch’s Pouch? What products do you know and have you tried?

Review: Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion No.21

15. July 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

This is a review of a cushion sample of Laneige’s Snow BB Soothing Cushion. I was wondering previously what would be the best way to present a sample for a cushion bb and I guess that this is the answer :D This sample comes with a tiny version of a cushion and a small puff and it is the most original sample I tried until now. It even comes in a little cardboard box and looks like a shrinked full-size product. Very elegant :)

laneige_soothingcushion_1

Laneige is a Korean brand, part of the Amore Pacific Group. The brand name comes from the french word for snow which is “la neige”. The brand name reflects the beauty of young women between 24 and 32 years by focusing on water as source of life. Therefore the products design is more mature and clean, reflecting the image of moisture obtained through water. Laneige was also the first brand releasing a cushion type product, which is the here described Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion. It is designed to be a 5 in 1 product and claims therefore to have whitening properties, sun protection, soothing effect, sweat-proof and long lasting. The BB cream has SPF 50 +/PA+++ and this blocks UV rays and sunlight and protects your skin from damage.

laneige_soothingcushion_2 laneige_soothingcushion_3

This cushion comes in 5 different shades: true beige (No.13), natural beige (No.21), sand beige (No.23) and brown beige (No. 31). The key ingredients are bead tree, Korean thistle and natto. Bead tree helps brightening dull skin. The extracts of Korean thistle, Sylimarins, block the melanin generation. Natto contains gamma PGA which serves as whitening booster through moisturization. The other ingredients are listed in COSDNA. Most of the are greenflagged, but there are some acne triggers, so if you have sensitive skin, keep in mind to test it first.

laneige_soothingcushion_4

As I said, this is a sample of the cushion and it comes in a tiny plastic jar. Inside the jar is a cushion with the BB cream and a puff for application. It is quite cute and moreover very perfect if you carry a small purse :D I mean, the compact full-sized product is already travel friendly, since it comes with a mirror, too. On the bottom of the plastic jar you’ll find the production date (keep in mind that this is not an expiration date) and the symbol for how long it is good after opening (it says 12 months here). The sample contains 4 g of product and I could use it for more than a week.

laneige_soothingcushion_6 laneige_soothingcushion_5

The swatch on my wrist looks a bit to dark for my skin, but on my face it blends in nicely and is a good match for my natural skin tone. The finish is very natural and semi-matte. The scent of the Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion appeared herbal to me. It wasn’t unpleasant, though. While application with the sponge a light cooling, refreshing feeling is noticeable, too. On the bottom you’ll find a picture of my face with and without the BB cream. You can see how it covers up nicely any rednesses and evens out the skin tone.

laneige_soothingcushion_7

I have the slight feeling that this cushion BB can be too dry for already dry skin. In the evening the BB cream had flaked around my nose and chin. But this can be improved by wearing a primer. I usually wear The Face Shop Primer before. Nevertheless, the finish is very natural and beautiful. I think this is the biggest advantage of all the cushion products, because you use a puff for application and in this way the excess BB cream is taken up by the puff again. For those worried about the hygiene: the puff is washable, but you have to be carefull not to squeeze it. :)

Laneige’s Cushion BB creams cost between 30 and 40 US$. You can find the Snow BB Soothing Cushion on ebay and the newer versions called Whitening and Pore Control at W2Beauty. If you use my affiliate link or enter the code 088505 in the registration form you’ll receive a 5 US$ voucher, which can be used immediately for purchases over 30 US$. I’d love to try the other cushions from Laneige, too :) Anybody tried these, too? what are your impressions?

Review: Clio Lipnicure versus RiRe Lipmanicure

9. July 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

This will be a comparison between the highly raved Clio Lipnicure versus RiRe Lipmanicure, a rather unknown korean brand producing obviously a dupe for Clio’s product. Probably some of you were in the same situation like I was: in the past months I read over and over about a new lip product from Clio called Lipnicure. It promised to be very long lasting – I mean VERY long lasting! People were even complaining that it was too hard to remove afterwards. As a lipstick lover, especially for red shades, this got my attention, since I’m looking for a long lasting red lip product for ages. Finally, I bought Clio’s Lipnicure…to make a long story short: It didn’t convince me because it didn’t last long on my lips at all, instead it flaked off in chunks and tiny bits of dried lipstick. A while ago I heared about a dupe for Clio’s Lipnicure from the brand RiRe. Since I was so dissapointed about the one from Clio, I ordered a similar color from RiRe’s Lipmanicure in order to compare the two products. Read more about my thoughts:

Clio_vs_RiRe_1

Let’s start of with the packaging: both products come in a black colored cardboard box, even the font is placed similar and has a similar look. The packaging of the RiRe Lipmanicure is smaller than the one of Clio’s Lipnicure. I bought color No.7 from Clio Lipnicure called “tension red”.  10 shades are available in total here. From RiRe Lipmanicure I bought shade No. 5 called “muse red”. RiRe offers 7 different shades.

Clio_vs_RiRe_2

If we have a closer look at the packaging, we see that Clio’s cardboard box contains Korean and English description whereas RiRe’s cardboard box only is described in Korean.

Clio_vs_RiRe_3

The lip product itself comes in a bottle consisting of a black plastic cap and a clear body where the color of the product is visible. Here we have some differences in the design of the bottles. First, RiRe’s Lipmanicure bottle is smaller. It contains 3.7 g, Clio’s Lipnicure contains 4.7 g. RiRe ‘s Lipmanicure bottle has a rounded shape with a pointed cap, Clio’s Lipnicure looks like a regular nail polish bottle.  Although, I personally like the shape of the RiRe Lipmanicure more, I must point out, that the plastic of Clio’s Lipnicure feels sturdier. Also, the cap has a click-mechanism to close the cap tightly, which RiRe doesn’t offer.

Clio_vs_RiRe_4

Clio_vs_RiRe_5

Clio_vs_RiRe_6

Due to the design and shape of the bottles, the applicator of RiRe’s Lipmanicure is shorter than in Clio’s Lipnicure. It has a flat applicator, in contrast to Clio’s doe foot applicator, which is curved. I preferr the straight applicator over the curved one, but this is something which depends on personal preference.

Clio_vs_RiRe_7 Clio_vs_RiRe_8

The color of both products is the same. I see no differences, especially after they dried. In the bottle the RiRe Lipmanicure looks a bit more orange than Clio’s “tension red”, but if you look at the swatches below, there is no real difference. One great difference is the scent of the two products: Clio’s Lipnicure has a light perfumed scent, it smells nice and doesn’t bother. RiRe’s Lipmanicure has a strong chemical scent, which fades away luckily, but is not nice at all. Both products have a matte finish after drying, so be aware that cracked or flaky lips are a no-go here. It is recommended to use a lip scrub before using these products.  Both products are waterproof and transfer proof. They only get removed after using a makeup cleanser. Soap works, too, but takes longer :D Below you will see the swatches after I rubbed and washed my skin with a lot of warm water. As you can see, rubbing is a bit of an issue:

Clio_vs_RiRe_9

On the left swatch, you see, that Clio’s Lipnicure faded off in flakes. The RiRe Lipmanicure faded, too, but leaves a smear instead of flaking. So, basically, this is my main problem with Clio’s Lipnicure. If you use a red lipstick and is starts to flake of, you will be left with a red trace around your lips, like you are wearing only a lipliner around the mouth which is absolutely ugly. Here, RiRe does a better job, since it still leaves some stain, so you’ll have time to touch up before looking like a mess. Below, I did a little demonstration: I applied Clio’s Lipnicure on the left side and RiRe’s Lipmanicure on the right side. I drank and ate some little snacks and after 2 hours maximum I had the result which is shown in the third pannel.

Clio_vs_RiRe_10

You might argue, that it’s the fault of fatty food, but I can assure you, that I had the same effect with Clio’s lipnicure after 2 hours without eating or drinking. I applied the lipproduct before I went to work and when I arrived there, nearly all of it already was faded or I had some flaky bits all over my lips. I don’t know, if it is my lips, or if I have a strange batch of the product, but having the direct comparison between Clio’s Lipnicure and RiRe’s Lipmanicure in this intense shade (!) I have to say, that RiRe’s products fades away much nicer than Clio’s.

All in all, my personal favourite so far is RiRe’s Lipmanicure in “muse red”. I point out that I only tried this intense red shade for both products, thus it may be, that the lighter colors are different in their features. RiRe Lipmanicure is cheaper than Clio’s Lipnicure, which is reflected in the quality of the packaging, but the design of the tiny bottles is cuter than the design of Clio’s Lipnicure bottles. Also the chemical scent is a contra for RiRe, but if you don’t have a problem with scent and you want to try out this type of lip product, it is definitively the better choice. Clio’s Lipmanicure contains a bit more product, has a nice scent and a high quality packaging on the other hand, but performs poorly.

You can buy Clio’s Lipnicure at W2Beauty for US$ 18.89.

You can buy RiRe’s Lipmanicure here for US$ 7.69.

You did try RiRe’s Lipmanicure? What’s your experience with Clio’s Lipnicure? Do you have any favourite shades? Leave a comment if you like :)

Review: Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

5. July 2014
Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Here is another product review from Holika Holika. This time I’m showing you Holika Holika’s Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I reviewed previously the Holika Holika Jewellight Pencil Eyeliner, and like this, the Jewellight Liquid Eyeliner contain shimmering particles. I usually preferr liquid eyeliner over pencil type eyeliner, so I was curious how this eyeliner would perform, esoecially since I never tried a liquid eyeliner from Holika Holika.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Holika Holika is a korean brand with a magic like brand image. The products are designed to look pretty, and magical in their way. The Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has a simple, but girly design, with some ornament lines looking like jeweles or stars. There are 5 different shades available. I’m reviewing color 01 called black gem. The other colors available are brown, olive, purple and pink.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

The Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners claim to be pigmented and shimmering, moreover they are waterproof andare supposed to hold up against sweat, sebum and humidity. The cap of the eyeliner includes a brush with a fine tip.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

The consistency of the liquid eyeliner is a bit watery. You have to shake it well, otherwise the pigmentation is weak. I expected the color to be blacker honestly. Also the glitter particles don’t spread evenly and when dried up, they can be the cause of cracking. Other than that the eyeliner is waterproof. It is also rubb proof as long as you don’t use water and rubbing together. In that case the eyeliner comes of in chunky bits.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

All in all, if you like lighter eyeliners and you like glitter particles, you might like this product. If you preferr more pigmented eyeliners like I do, you won’t be statisfied here. I have to point out that the advantage of these liquid eyeliners from Holika Holika is, that they are really waterproof. It is also easy to remove the eyeliner simply by combining rubbing and water together. These eyeliners are cheap, too. They cost around 9 US$ from testerkorea.

Review: Missha Magic Cushion Case

24. June 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Can you believe that this is finally the first time I bought a cushion product?! The foundation/bb cushion trend goes on for quite some time now, but caused by a huge pile of BB/CC cream tubes I resisted the urge to buy a new one, even if the packaging type was highly raved about. After all, I decided to try another kind of cushion product: Missha’s Magic Cushion Case! Yes, you read correctly, it is only a case! More precisely, it is a case for your own D.I.Y. BB Cushion!

Missha Magic Cushion Case

The typical BB Cushion is a compact like case containing BB cream or foundation absorbed by a sponge (cushion). Using a puff you can apply the BB cream in a very lightly and natural appearing way. Almost all Korean brands carry their own cushion products by now. Mishha’s Magic Cushion Case on the other hand gives you the possibility to create and mix your own and favourite BB/CC cream or foundation in such a cushion case. I love this idea, since it gives you the possibility to use up your existing bb creams before starting to hoard various different cushion bb creams ;)

Missha Magic Cushion Case

The instruction on Missha’s Magic Cushion Case Cardbox packaging is written in Korean only, but after some search online you’ll find out how to use it, although the images on the box are self-explanatory. In principle you have to fill the container of the cushion case, add the cushion, and wait a couple of minutes while the sponge absorbs the bb cream. I put mine upside down. Afterwards you can start dabbing your puff onto the soaked cushion. Depending on the fluid-y of the used bb cream the soaking process is quicker or slower…I would say the liquid bb/cc creams are best suited for these D.I.Y. cushions.

Missha Magic Cushion Case

Missha’s Magic Cushion Case is made of a sturdy plastic compact, with an included mirror. Parts of the case are metallic/silver and prone to fingerprints. The case itself closes tightly and so does the plastic lid protecting the cushion and separating it from the puff and the mirror.

Missha Magic Cushion Case

The cushion and the puff are packed separately when you receive them. The puff looks like the typical cushion puff, with a blue colored side and white colored side with an attached finger strap (is this how you call that thingy?). The puff has a very soft feeling to it.

Missha Magic Cushion Case

Below you can see how I used my Magic Cushion Case. I created a mix of Skinfood’s Vita Water Drop CC cream and Innisfree Jejubija Anti Trouble BB cream. For mixing the creams together I used a Q-tip of which I cut the cotton part off (keep in mind that you have to add the cushion on top, so don’t fill the pan up completely).

Missha Magic Cushion Case

After creating your personal mixture, you’ll simply have to add the cushion and wait for the BB/CC cream to absorb and your own BB Cushion is ready to go!:)

Missha Magic Cushion Case

What do you think? Would you like to create your own Cushion foundation in this way? Or do you prefer the ones, which are ready to us? I think this is a great way to use BB creams which don’t match alone but in combination with other creams. The pan is ideal for mixing up your desired BB/CC creams together. All in all, I really do like this case and the idea and I can recommend you to try it for yourself.

Did anyone try out these kind of D.I.Y. cushion cases?

You can get this case at W2Beauty for US$ 17.79. There is also a ready refill for it, which can be used instead of an own BB cream. It is called Missha UV Cushion Base. It has SPF 50 and costs US$ 9.50 for two sachets containing 7 ml of the bb cream. It is available in two shades.

Swatches: L’Oréal True Match Foundation

12. June 2014

// MAKEUP //

It’s been a long time since I posted about a western brand, so time to catch up again :D I was lucky to receive an L’Oréal True Match Make-Up Box and I thought that it might be interesting for you have a comparative look at the swatches. I normally don’t wear foundation myself, but for some special occasions, they are really useful.

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

This box contains 9 shades of L’Oréal True Match Foundation and it is perfect to find out a suitable skin tone. I’m always too lazy to test through all the tubes in store, but having them at home makes it so convenient XD

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

Since I have a German version of this box (I don’t know if it is available in other countries, too), the tubes are labeled with the German name and skin color number. The back side of the tubes is labeled with the French and English names. The shades are divided into “cool shades”, “natural shades” and “warm shades”.

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

So, let’s start with the swatches:

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

The darkest shades are R7 (K7 or C7) and W7 (D7), the lightest shades are R2 (K2 or C2) and N2 are the lightest shades. Compared to some Korean BB creams none of the shades is really suited for a very fair skin.

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

The finish is matte and satin like and feels soft. The coverage is medium to high and is buildable.

I didn’t wear it yet on my face, but I guess there will be the one or the other occasion in the future. Did you try any of L’Oréal’s True Match Foundations? What do you prefer: BB creams or foundation?

Hope the swatches were useful for you!:) See you in my next post ♥

Graveyard: April and May 2014

5. June 2014

Another collective empties post. I’m trying hard to use up my hoarded cosmetics and skincare and I’m doing quite good :D I emptied these products the last two months and I’ve already collected some more items in the last couple of days :D Let’s see what is in my product graveyard for April and May.

  graveyard_may_2

1. Philip B. African Shea Butter Gentle and Conditioning Shampoo – Repurchase? Yes and no.

I enjoyed using this shampoo. It made my hair smooth and I didn’t have to use the straigtheners as often as I usually do. The only downside is the price, which is the main reason I don’t buy it again.

2. Nail Paint by Berry M. – Repurchase? Yes and No.

I love the color. It is the kind of red everybody needs. Unfortunately it is not available locally for me. I would buy it, if I had the chance again.

3. Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream – Repurchase? Yes.

It is a nice eyecream and the huuuuuge jar contains product for forever…I could not use it up, it is simply too much. But the feeling of the cream is nice. And the packaging is adorable. Check out my review >>here<<.

4. Missha Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream Repurchase? Yes.

I love the scent!!!And I was happy to use it every morning. It is a pitty it comes in a jar, because it is not the most convenient packaging. Other than this it is a nice product. Check out my review >>here<<.

5. Just Cavali Just- Repurchase? No.

A perfumed body lotion. It was nice to use but it is not the scent I oersonally would spend money on ;)

6. CrazySmooth antiFrizz Conditioning – Repurchase? No

Surprisingly this conditioner was really effective. It helped detangling my hair and was satisfying. It is not my favourite scent though, but it is vegan.

7. Mizon Snail Recovery Cream Gel – Repurchase? Yes.

I love this one. It is cheap and effective and I would totally repurchase. I bought two tubes together and the second one is almost empty, too. check out my review >>here<<.

8. Mitchel and Pitch Body creme-Repurchase?Yes!

I love the scent. It is similar to Lush’s Dreamcream. I definitively would love to repurchase either this or the Dreamcream.

9. The Body Shop Cacao Butter Body Scrub Repurchase?Yes.

This scrub is great. It has a delicious scent and makes the skin feel super smooth. I would love to repurchase it.

Do you know any of these products or would you like to try any of these?

Unboxing: MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10

4. June 2014

I know that there has been a couple of unboxing posts on MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10, but nevertheless I’d like to show you the content of my box. If you have any requests on reviews on the single items feel free to leave a comment. Again, MeMeBox totally convinced me with their 10th Korean beauty box. It arrived at my doorstep feeling heavy and opening the box just confirmed that it was fully loaded with some great items.

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10

MeMeBox is a box service company, offering a wide amount of different beauty boxes. Unlike most western beauty boxes which have to be subscribed for on a monthly basis, MeMeBoxes can be preordered but that doesn’t force you to buy more than the desired box. They ship to many countries and the products they send in their boxes are mainly Korean. Apart from their monthly Global Boxes like this one, they also have a huge amount of themed boxes, Mini Boxes, Boxes where you know what is inside, so called Superboxes with a higher value and so on…just check out their online store and you’ll find a huge selection of different boxes. Since they have become very popular within the blogger community they sell out pretty fast, but they bring up new beauty boxes so fast, that you cannot keep up with them anyways XD

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10

Let’s see what was the content of MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10: As you can see, the box was completely filled and the products look like mainly full sized products. Actually, there was only one sample sized product in this box. A card with the product description in English is included, too (click the image below to enlarge).

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10

So here are the products that were included this time:

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10

1. Dewytree Ginseng Nutritious Black Mask (full size product, 4 US$)

A sheet mask with ginseng and gingko leaf extracts. The packaging is kind of cute. Also, I never tried a ginseng mask so far although I heard that it is a super beneficial ingredient. I’m curious to try this out.

2. CaoLion Mool Pool Deep Cleansing (full size product, 9 US$)

Cleansers make me happy! It seems they always come at the right time, when I’m about to finish an old tube XD. This cleanser is advertised as perfect cleanser for a one step cleansing. Korean’s usually do double cleansing routine, starting with an oil cleanser in order to remove the makeup and a foam cleanser for a second cleansing step. CaoLion Mool Pool deep Cleansing promises to remove makeup and even waterproof makeup and be gentle to your skin at the same time. I didn’t try it yet, but it will be used pretty soon.

3. Drww Multi-Action Smart Cream Gel (full size, 59 US$)

59 $?! What kind of wonder product is this?! The cardboard packaging is huge, but the tube containing the product is smaller. Nevertheless, it is quite some cream. I already started using this. It is a moisturizing gel. The consistency is like Jell-O. but as soon as it is applied on the skin it melts away. I like it so far! Plus: it is usable as sleeping mask, too!

4. Mise en Scène Curling Essence 2X (full size product, 14 US$)

This Korean brand for hair care seems to gain some popularity in Korea. It is my first time receiving a product from Mise en Scène. I used it 2 times so far and it does what it should, It gives you some nicely defined curls if you have naturally curled hair like I do. I think it will be great for making curls with a curling iron, too, but I didn’t try it yet.

5. Hanskin Bio Origin Royal Ampoule BB (sample size product- full size costs 45 US$)

Although this MeMeBox only contains a sample sized version of this BB cream with 4,5 ml content it is one of my highlight products. I love BB creams and a BB cream in a bottle with a pipette is something I never seen before. I tried it once and I will try it a couple of time more. The novellty of this BB cream is probably that it contains royal jelly extract.

6. Atopalm Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum (full size product, 49 US$)

Again a product with a proud price. I would never have bought it by myself. It is an eye repair serum and it has a funny open/closing mechanism. I used it already and it feels nice and absorbs quickly. It is my second favorite product from this MeMeBox.

All in all, I’m super happy with MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 10. It contains mostly skincare, except of the BB cream sample, but the skincare products are well balanced. The value of the products is amazing, too, considering the fact that you pay 23 US$ normally, plus shipping (6.99 US$ for standard shipping). But I think I never paid the full price for any of the MeMeBoxes I ordered up to now. They always have so many ways to save money, by coupons and other promotions. I can definitively recommend you to check out MeMeBox online store.

Here is a list of the current events/ promotions to save some money:

For signing up you receive 2 MeMePoints worth 2 US$/ at the moment they have a banner on their shop saying that you can even receive 10 MeMePoints worth 10 US$

Free shipping on orders above $70 from Memeshop: FREESHIPPING

$5 off on orders over 3 Memeboxes: MEMEBUNDLE3

Also, when making orders of some of the boxes you might get MeMePoints, too, this helps to save the shipping costs for your next order if you get addicted like me XD

Review: Kose Visee Glossy Rich Eyeshadow Palette No.3

25. May 2014

If I would pick a favourite for this month it would definitively be the Kose Visee Glossy Rich Eyeshadow Palette that I’ve bought recently. As some of you might know, Kose is a Japanese cosmetic brand with various subbrands. Visee is one of their subbrands, having a couple of nicely designed makeup products. I love the colors and I love the design of this mini palette and- most important- I used it so often already, although I’m normally not wearing eyeshadows a lot. But this cute palette sweept me off my feet. I’m not an expert in eyeshadow reviewing, and I’m sure there are other eyeshadows with a excellent quality, but never the less I would like to share my opinion about it. ♥

A lot of people will understand why I fell for this packaging design. It is super elegant and yet playfull. I love the ornamented lid so much ♥ The brandname is written in a curly font on the lid, too. The fabricant plastic is of standard quality. It is glossy, so you’ll see fingerprints on it easily. The palette comes in a hard plastic packaging with description written on it. Unfortunately all the description is written in Japanese, but there is an image on the backside showing how to use the colors together.

Let’s take another look at the beauty: The imprint on the eyeshadows is so beautiful ♥

Kose Visee’s Glossy Rich eyes are available in 8 different palettes. My palette is No. 3 and it has  a rose/burgundy Theme. The palette consists of four eyeshadow colors which can be used together nicely. A small applicator  with two sides is provided, too, but no mirror.

The pigmentation of the colors is nice and visible. They contain tiny shimmer particles. The brightest color on the top left is the base color providing the glow. The eyeshadows are soft when applied and are easily blendable. The pigmentation is buildable to a certain degree, too. Below you can see how the eyeshadows look on me:

You can create nice looks with this palette and the colors are really wearable for every day look. But they also can be used for a romantic look. I really love how easy they are to blend and how soft the eyeshadow powder feels. The shimmer is not too extreme either. After a couple of uses unfortunatelly the nice imprint on the shadows dissapears and a little fall off from the eyeshadows lies inside the lid, but all in all these are minor points. I’ll definitively keep my eyes out for other Kose Visee products in future. This was my first time trying this brand, but not my last :D I bought my palette at Ichibankao for 2050 Yen which makes around 20 US$
