Review: Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

13. September 2016

// AFFILIATE LINKS / CUSHION / KBEAUTY //

Another of those far too late posts, but since I adore the packaging I have to share with you: Here is my precious Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion! As a Disney lover it was really important to get my hands on this cushion- despite having maybe too many different cushions and cases already…I feel a bit ashamed, and yet I’m so proud to have this one in my collection! Here is my impression:

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Beyond is a Korean natural cosmetic brand and part of LG Household & Health Care. It is dedicated to sustainable beauty and had been against animal testing since its foundation. They have an official site which is available in Korean and English. The Beyond eco philosophy states:

‘Beyond believes that you are part of nature and can become more beautiful. The solution and wisdom of beauty lies in nature. With this belief, we respect “Eco Values” throughout the entire process of everything we do from ingredients, production, distribution and disposal. Our research into Eco Values, which we consider part of our know-how, enhances the value of true beauty.’

Their products have minimal chemical colors and fragrances, their packaging isrecyclable and has minimum waste. Their products are also free from parabens and dermatologically tested. I tried few products of this brand before, but I never disliked their products. They have a super cute selection of sheet masks, too, which I can really recommend.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion belongs to the second Beyond x Alice in Wonderland collaboration. I reviewed lip tints from the first collaboration called Alice in Glow >>here<<. I love the lip oil tints! They have a great scent and have a velvet nice and yet moisturizing feel on the lips! The design of the Alice in Blooming collection is even more dreamy and beautiful than the first edition and I knew from the beginning when I saw the advertorial pictures that I needed to get my hands on this cushion. And I did!

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion comes packed in a beautifully illustrated cardboard box in light pink and blue colors. The cardboard box also contains the key description of the product. The product is free of parabens and tar colorants, it is dermatologically tested, free of animal testing, and supports sustainable growth. The cushion has SPF 50+/PA+++.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Inside the cardboard box you will find the beautiful Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion, with a golden rim and the dreamy illustration from the cardboard box on the lid. Since this was a limited edition box it came with two refills even. I selected shade 02, the darker shade from the two available called “natural beige”.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Inside the Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion you will find a mirror and a puff, as with all cushions. Unlike most other puffs the band is broader and also  displays Alice illustrations.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

As with all cushions the product works like this: inside the cushion case is a capsule with a separate lid that contains a cushion soaked with foundation or bb cream. You have to press the puff on the cushion and the foundation will transfer to it. Now you can dab the puff on your face. It is important to dab and not to smear it because it will give you the most natural and light finish.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion has a semi-dewy, satin finish. It smells of roses when applied, but after doing your makeup the scent will fade and is not noticeable any longer. Also, there are small shimmery particles in the foundation that give your face a radiant look. Although I selected the darker shade of the two that were available it is still quite light and suited for lighter skintones. You see that it evens out the redness and makes the skin tone a bit lighter than my natural skin, but it still fits to my overall complexion. If you are tanned this shade will probably not work on you.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion lasts a couple of hours on my skin before it starts to get uneven on my nose and chin. Nevertheless, it makes my skin feel soft and satin-smooth for almost all day. I also love the rose scent and enjoy using the cushion in the morning mainly because of the scent. I was afraid about the shimmer particles first, but I came to the conclusion that it is barely visible after all, so I’m really happy and using this cushion frequently.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion is a must-have for Disney lovers of course or for people who love beautiful illustrations. I bought my cushion from W2Beauty but you can check elsewhere to find it, too. You will find the cushion on these sites:

Review: VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes

26. July 2016

// PR SAMPLE / KBEAUTY / AFFILIATE LINKS //

For someone who never uses eyeshadow and always has wondered how the eyeshadow of other people is looking good even after a long night out eyeshadow primers will reveal a whole new world. I had the same experience when I tried my first primer and suddenly all the world around eye makeup and eyeshadow made sense. I’m happy to be able to introduce to you the VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes, which was offered to me by BBCOSMETIC for reviewing purpose. This primer is one of the most famous ones in Korea.

VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes

VDL is a Korean brand by LG Household & Healthcare. The sleek and modern design of their products is unmistakable and is surely part of their popularity. Especially the primer from VDL have a very good reputation (I also bought the VDL Lumilayer Primer for the face, but I didn’t review it yet). The VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes comes in a sleek cardboard packaging. Yet you will find reflective elements on the cardboard box and their colorful reflexions make it appear really modern and trendy. The primer itself comes in a square and simple tube, reminding me of brands like MAC and NARS.

VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes

On the cardboard box you will find the descriptions in Korean and English. The ingredients are also available on COSDNA (Thanks to Evelyn :*) if you are interested in looking them up. Using the VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes is really simple, since it comes with a sponged applicator tip. The light beige fluid is applied thinly on the lid and blended in with the fingertip. You have to wait for a short time for the product to absorb before you can continue to apply the eyeshadow on top. It is advertised to be used on oil-free lids, so be sure to blot the skin.

VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes

As you can see from the swatch above the VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes has a glossy finish. Therefore, when applying eyeshadow they appear more vibrant and pigmented than without. Also it helps to make powdery eyeshadow containing shimmer or glitter to appear more prominent. The VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes does a good job in that it really makes the eyeshadow colors pop. In terms of long-lasting it gives the eyeshadow a boost, too, but you have to be sure to apply on the dried primer. Also, for oily lids the lasting-power is reduced. I have the feeling that it is less lasting than the matte eyeshadow primers, like the one from essence cosmetics for example.

VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes

The VDL Expert Color Primer For Eyes is a pretty descent eye shadow primer and I see why it is so popular. I really like how it brings out the colors of the eyeshadow and makes especially the shimmery ones look super great. It also helps to prevent the settling of the eyeshadow into the lines. In terms of long-livity of the used eyeshadow, it definitely does extend the wearability of eyeshadow, but not as much as other eye primers do. This might also be related on the grade of oiliness your eyelid has. I received this primer from BBCOSMETIC, but it is out of stock there at the moment. But they have a bunch of other products from VDL also worth a look. You can also use the voucher Q2C8JX9N45R3O  in order to get 10 % discount on BBCOSMETIC.

Review: Peripera Peri’s Ink Stick

4. July 2016

// PR SAMPLE / MAKEP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Peripera lip products are widely known among Korean beauty lovers and still, I had so many tints and lipsticks from other brands that I never tried them out. It was inevitable that our ways would cross some time and here it is, my first review of the Clio Peripera brand, the Peripera Peri’s Ink Stick, thanks to a giveaway and reviewing opportunity by 0.8L Germany.

Peripera Peri's Ink Stick

Club Clio Professional was founded by makeup artists in 1993 and they opened their first flagship in Seoul in 1998. They carry brands like Peripera and Goodal and the brand Clio of course. I tried the Clio Lipniqure and the Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner before but neither of the other brands.

Peripera Peri's Ink Stick

The Peripera Peri’s Ink Stick is a matte powdery lipstick for a long-lasting stain of your lips and although it has a similar shape to the Peripera Liquid Inks this one is not liquid at all. When I first saw the product I thought that I would have to push out the black part which looks like a dropper, but then I discovered that you have to remove the lower see-through plastic part.

Peripera Peri's Ink Stick

And as you see, removing that part reveals the lipstick bullet! The shade I’m showing here is No.3 called “Love Hunter”. It is a vibrant tomato red and perfect for a bright pop of color in summer. There are 6 different shades available for the Peripera Peri’s Ink Stick. The bullet feels powdery when you use it on your lips and doesn’t have any moisturizing effects. It simply creates an evenly colored layer of stain on your lips. The stain is buildable and pigmented, but can be blended out into a more soft look. I discovered that it has really a long-lasting pigmentation. My lips were stained from morning on even after lunch. Then the stain started to fade slowly but not completely.

Peripera Peri's Ink Stick

Peripera Peri’s Ink Stick is definitely great for achieving a long-lasting matte stain on your lips. The stain is drink and meal proof for some time and fades slowly. The swatches on the back of my hand were even visible after taking a shower. It doesn’t have any moisturizing properties, so if you have dry lips you want to apply lip balm on top, which will probably reduce the lasting power of the stain.

Nail Art with Crack Holographic Nail Foil

3. July 2016

Holographic Nail Foil has been quite of a trend in the past few months and I was curious about this Nail Art Technique. Despite being not really a genious or talent considering Nail Art I gave it a try by testing out the Crack Holographic Nail Foil from Born Pretty Store

Holographic Nail Foil

Born Pretty Store is an asian based online store selling very affordable products, reaching from accessories to make-up and beauty products. They have a super huge amount of all kinds of nail art products and tools. They also have a super large amount of stamping plates and tools needed for stamping nail art, like I showed in my previous nail art post which was quite a long time ago :D.

Holographic Nail Foil

The holographic nail foils from Born Pretty Store come each packed in a tiny plastic tube, which is really a great way to protect and store the foil. The foil is 1 m long and 4 cm in its width, which lasts for a really long time, since you do not need a lot for your nails. This Crack Holographic Nail Foil has a golden crackling appearance. It can be used on regular Nail Polish and UV nail polish, too. Since it is a fine golden motif it looks best on darker nail polish shades, because it will be more visible then.

Holographic Nail Foil

In order to use these kinds of foils you have to go through these steps:

1. Prepare your nail bed by shaping, pushing cuticles back and removing all oils (do this using professional nail prep or nail polish remover).
2. Apply a base coat, and wait until dry.
3. Apply nail polish (dark color is better), wait until dry, and apply the polish again. Wait until dry again, but this time the nail polish should not be totally dry, but a gentle fingerprint should be left on the nails when you press your finger on the nail.
4. Press the foil shiny side up onto the nail and rub over it using your finger, or for a better more precise application, use a rubber hoof stick. Different colors of foils can mixed on the nails.
5. Remove the foil and the foil pattern should be stuck to your nail. If a bit is missing, just apply the top coat to the part not taken and repeat step.4
6. Once completely dry, apply a coat to protect the foil.

Holographic Nail Foil

I needed a couple of tries until it works out, but usually my nail art is limited to a simple red nail polish. I discovered that it is more difficult to use on jelly-type nailpolishes and best to use on those nail polishes which do not stay soft for a long time. You’ll have the risk to remove your second nail polish layer otherwise, instead of transferring the motif from the foil. I used a simple black polish from a cheap drug store brand here. I think black polish or red one gives a nice contrast to the golden color, but also dark green or blue would look nice I guess.

Holographic Nail Foil

How do you like the effect of the crack holographic nail foil? It really took me a long time until I found which nail polish works with the foil and how to do it the best way, but still it is some fun way to try new nail art. Another thing which I really like is that it is super affordable and even if it doesn’t work for you you didn’t spend a lot of money on it either. Each of the nail foil tubes plates retails for 1.39 US$ at Born Pretty StoreYou can also use the promotional code KBX31 for 10 % discount on your order. They do offer free international shipping by the way!

Did you try Holographic Nail Foil? What are your experiences?

Review: BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow

28. June 2016

I do not have many eyebrow products, since this is one of the things I only repurchase if used up, nevertheless I discovered that there are many differences between the different brands. Apart from the different brands there are also different types to enhance or fill in your brows like powders, pencils or eyebrow mascaras. The most widely known product is the eyebrow pencil though. Today I’m showing you the BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow, which I received by BNTnews for reviewing purpose this month.

Review: BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow

BEIGE CHUU, formerly known as BEIGE only, is the cosmetic brand of the online retailer CHUU. They have a range of clothing and accessories, but also cosmetics products and their slogan is “I know you want to kiss me”. I’ve been following BEIGE CHUU for a while on Instagram and I’ve been curious about their products to be honest. The BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation I reviewed yesterday is the first product I’ve been trying and here is the second product now:

Review: BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow

This eyebrow pencil doesn’t need much of description since it is really only a piece of wood pencil with a plastic cap. No additional brush, no included sharpener, simply an eyebrow pencil made from hard wood.

Review: BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow

The BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow doesn’t even come sharpened in first place, which makes it special. Instead you can sharpen it by yourself. In the picture above I sharpened it using a normal sharpener. But then I saw the instruction on the product page showing how to sharpen these. This is great for people who want to sharpen the pencils by themselves, because they want a special flatness for example. You can decide how flat or round you want your eyebrow pencil. Below is my first try sharpening it, and as you can see I’m not much talented…and my blade was not sharp enough anymore :D But it was definitely fun to try it, although my pencil shrunk very drastically during my trial :’D

Review: BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow

As the name suggests, this eyebrow pencil has a hard texture. It only gives a light pigmentation, too, and you won’t be able to accidentally overdo your eyebrows since the color is really soft. The dark brown color was perfect for my dark brows. The pencil is available in 5 shades totally.

Review: BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow

The BEIGE CHUU Hard Finish Wood Pencil Eye Brow will be a good choice for anyone who wants to customize their eyebrow pencil and who like a natural finish. The soft texture of the hard type pencils are good for people who try out pencil eyebrows for their first time, but the sharpening with the blade needs some practice. This eyebrow pencil retails for 12 US$ from the official BEIGE CHUU shop. You will find the video for sharpening there, too!

Review: BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

27. June 2016

I love stick-type products and here is a new one I want to introduce to you, the BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation, which I receive by BNTnews this month. In the last months I’m mainly using cushion foundations, but still from time to time I like to use regular BB creams or foundations like this instead.

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

BEIGE CHUU, formerly known as BEIGE only, is the cosmetic brand of the online retailer CHUU. They have a range of clothing and accessoires, but also cosmetics products and their slogan is “I know you want to kiss me”. I’ve been following BEIGE CHUU for a while on Instagram and I’ve been curious about their products to be honest. The BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation is the first product I’m trying from this brand.

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation is a multi-purpose stick type foundation which claims to covers blemishes, be not greasy or sticky, with long-lasting properties and of course, being a stick-type product it is travel friendly, too. It comes in a cardboard box with Korean descriptions only. The packaging design is simple and black, without any further decorations. The stick foundation itself comes in a plastic container in the same black design. It looks very neat and suited for all ages and gender.

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

There are three shades available for this stick foundation which are 21Y (Yellow), 21P (Pink), and 23 (Natural Beige). I’m reviewing 21P here. I was first worried that the shade would not suit my skintone. Usually I tend to grab shade 23 myself. The container of the stick foundation works like a lipstick container. you have to twist the bottom in order to get the bullet of the foundation moving upwards. I won’t recommend to twist it up to the end, but only twist it as much as you need, otherwise you will risk that you break it.

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

The shade is light, but it blends out nicely and fits to my skin surprisingly. Also, it is very lightweight and spreadable and feels like nothing on the skin. I really liked the creamyness and softness of the texture from the first swatch I did on the back of my hand.

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

On my skin it evens out my skintone and covers the redness and the pores. It doesn’t give a matte texture, neither a dewy one. Honestly, it looks very natural and like healthy skin to me. I blended the foundation out with help of a sponge and it doesn’t look streaky and you won’t see any differences between te skin which was blended in and the part were you did a stroke with the foundation stick. I really like the finish. It also was good in terms of lasting power and didn’t flake on my dry skin either, which was most surprising for me!

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

I tried stick foundations from NOTS and Etude House before and they all have different textures compared to each other. While the BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation is very leight and feels like you do not wear any makeup, the NOTS Silk Glow Stick Foundation has a much more heavy texture. The Etude House Play 101 Stick has the thickest texture and the most matte finish. It is way to matte for my dry skin for example and settles into the lines, whereas the other two stick foundations work much better on dry skin. Comparing all these three stick foundations now I would say that I love the BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation most.

BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation

I’m very happy about the BEIGE CHUU Stick Foundation and it really has a nice finish and texture. It fulfills all its claims for me and despite the high price I think it is worth that value. Of course everyone elses skin might react other to the formulation, but defitely it has the most pleasant texture from the three stick foundations I tried. It retails for 35 US$ from the official BEIGE CHUU shop.

Review: Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock

22. June 2016

A while ago I received the Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock from Wish Formula and here are my thoughts on this new product. Although you should wear sunscreen everyday most people only think about their skin and sunburns when the warm seasons approach. I just want to remind you that despite the weather you should care about your skin and the potential harm the UV radiation is capable of- even if you do not see sunburns directly. Usually, with asian sunscreens you have to differentiate between the sunscreens which are made for outdoor activities and your day on the beach and the everyday sunscreens. Since this sunblock has not stated that it is waterproof or sweat-resistant I would categorize this in the everyday section and not suited for taking a sunbath at the beach.

Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock

Wish Formula is one of these Korean brands I know for quite a while but apart from their Panda Eye Essence Patch I never tried any other products from this brand. They have a selection of skincare products and all appear very clean and dermatologically (?!) in a way. Also the Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock has a very simple and neat design. The key color is white and the sunblock comes in a regular tube containing 65 g of product.

Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock

The Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock is designed to give UV protection and be oil-free. Furthermore, it is hypoallergenic and has moisturizing properties.

Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock

The cardboard box also has the English ingredients listed. It contains Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor, Titanium Dioxide, and Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine as sun protection ingredients, giving the product SPF 50 +/ PA+++. 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor is red labelled according to COSDNA. The other ingredients in the list are mostly safe to use, with some potential irritants and acne triggers included. I personally didn’t feel any negative influence on the condition of my skin while using this sunscreen. The fermented ingredients included are Clover Flower Ferment Extract by Lactobacillus and Peppermint Leaf Ferment Extract by Saccharomyces. Moreover it contains hyaluronic acid and aloe vera for moisturizing the skin. I did an collaboration interview on fermented cosmetics >>here<<, so if you are curious about my opinion on fermented products and why I love them head over :)

Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock

The Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock has a creme-type consistency. It is not as fluid as the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel or the Isehan Sunkiller Perfect Sun Plus. It contains Cetearyl Alcohol, too, which helps that the product absorbs quickly into the skin. When rubbed I to the skin it leaves a slight white cast first, which adapts quickly though. The sunscreen is not greasy or dewy. Despite containing Aloe Vera and hyaluronic acid it doesn’t feel moisturizing, but also not drying. I would describe it as well-balanced. Since it is not slippery or greasy on the skin it can be used with makeup on top and does not slide around.

Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock

The Wish Formula Fermented Oil-Free Dr. Mild Sunblock is a good everyday sunblock which can be used below your makeup. It isn’t as hydrating as the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel, but other than that we’ll balanced and deserves the name addition “oil-free”. I didn’t see any significant changes of my skin’s quality because of the fermented ingredients, but still it is a nice plus for this sunblock. It would be nice if Wish Formula updates the formula of this sunscreen to contain even less potential irritants.

Etude House Play 101 Pencils No. 77 and 79| Pink Bird Box May 2016

20. June 2016

After last month’s pink bird box, which included all three Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Packs, this month’s pink bird box is packed with makeup products. Since I had so many pictures for this post I decided to make three reviews, each focussing on one of the three newly released products out of this box: The Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon, the Etude House Real Powder Cushion and new colors of the Etude House Play 101 Pencils. The last review will be about the Etude House Play 101 Pencils in No. 77 and 79. For my previous review on the Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon you can click >>here<< and for the Etude House Real Powder Cushion click >>here<<.

Etude House Play 101 Pencils

First of all, some words about the Korean brand Etude House: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adorable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging… Etude House has a blogger program called Pink Bird. Selected blogger will receive a monthly box for a defined period of time packed with selected products for reviewing purpose. I’m really proud and happy to be part of their Pink Bird program!

Etude House Play 101 Pencils

I reviewed the Etude House Play 101 Pencils when they were released the first time. There were so many colors and different textures available that it was hard to select only a couple of these beautiful multifunctional pencils. Recently, Etude House released 4 new colors in addition to the existing ones, of which I will show you two:

Etude House Play 101 Pencils

The Etude House Play 101 Pencils in shade 77 and 79 come each packed in a cardboard box. Each pencil has a cap to protect the bullet and a tiny sharpener hidden on the end side of the pencil. I love the included sharpener since it is super handy to have one for each color.

The pencils have a creamy consistency and glide smoothly on the skin. Shade 77 is a golden-beige shade, very pretty for the inner corners of the eyes, but also a nice eyeshadow color. Shade 79 is a pink- rose, which is also wearable on the lips or cheeks. Both colors contain shimmer particles. Shade 79 has also a bit of a glossy effect in addition.

Etude House Play 101 Pencils

I was loving the versatility and color selection of the Etude House Play 101 Pencils before and I’m still on with my opinion about these multipurpose pencils. They are affordable and you will find almost any color and the four new shades are a perfect addition to the selection. They retail for 7.80 US $ on the official Etude House Global Store or all the four new colors in a set for 31.20 US $.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion | Pink Bird Box May 2016

This second review will be about the Etude House Real Powder Cushion. For my previous review on the Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon you can click >>here<<.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

The second product I’m reviewing from the Pink Bird Box is the new Etude House Real Power Cushion, which has been launched simultaneously globally by Etude House. The new cushion creates a matte finish the moment when being applied on your skin, and promises high coverage and long-lasting features! It is available in three shades: HB (honey beige), LB (light beige), and NB (natural beige). I received natural beige, which is a perfect match for my skin tone. Although for summer maybe honey beige would be better.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

The Etude House Real Powder Cushion is directed towards those who do not like the dewy finish that most cushion foundations have, but prefer a matte and powdered finish. It has a very neat design and looks actually quite mature compared to other cushion foundations from Etude House.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

The cushion is described to have a liquid to powder formula. It has 5-in-1 multifunction properties and acts as primer, bb cream, concealer, powderpact, and blotting paper.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

Compared to the other cushion foundations from Etude House the pact is more sleek than the previous ones. Other than that it looks like every cushion and comes with a mirror inside the lid and a puff for application. The foundation is closed away in a separate container, which is closed tightly, so that the product does not dry down.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

Inside the container you will find the soaked cushion as always. And by dabbing the puff onto the cushion the product will transfer and you can apply the puff in dabbing motions onto your skin.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

I really like the thin design of this cushion! By the way the foundation has SPF 50+ PA+++, so it gives some sun protection to your face, too. Nevertheless, please do not really on the sun protection of your makeup only but use sunscreen below.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

Although the product comes out liquid from the sponge it has an instant powdery finish when applied. Still it does not feel too heavy as some matte foundations sometimes feel. It has the lightness of cushion foundations with the powdery finish. It also gives a very natural finish and has the blurring effect of powders. The coverage is medium to high. I know it is hard to tell from the pictures below, but if you look closely you will spot that it covers the pimple on my chin and almost covers the birthmark above my brow. But you also see how natural it looks, especially the shade fits nicely. Nevertheless, since my skin is rather dry around my nose I have the problem that the product settles into my lines and dry skin and does not look very pretty after some hours. On the other hand I am sure that people with oily skin will really love this cushion and the powdery finish.

Etude House Real Powder Cushion

You might be surprised that I really like the Etude House Real Powder Cushion, although it settles down into the cracks and lines of my dry skin. It is really a nice product to add on top of your favorite BB cream. It can be used as powder so to say. I use my favorite dewy cushion and add some dabs of the Etude House Real Powder Cushion on my T-zone instead of powder. It improves the lasting of the makeup after all. Also, I like the sleek design of the new cushion, which makes it much more handy than its bulkier sisters. I’m sure that this product will be loved by oily skintypes, because it really does mattify your skin. The new Etude House Real Powder Cushion retails for 15.12 US$ from the Etude House store. The Refills are available for 8.40 US$
