Review: Innisfree Soy Essence Volume Mascara

A while ago I purchased some great Innisfree products for 50 % doscount at testerkorea. One of these is the Innisfree Soy Essence Volume Mascara. This is my second Korean mascara, after I tried the Etude House Lash Perm 3 Steps Volumescara, and I love it ♥

Innisfree is an eco-friendly Korean skincare and makeup brand focusing on natural ingredients and recycle packaging. The design of their products is simply and neat and nicely reflects the ideology of the brand. Innisfree products are ususally free from harmful ingredients. In this case I didn’t find detailled information about the ingredients, but, as said in the name, the formula uses soy essence from black beans in order to give your lashes extra care. The packaging is very simple and it didn’t have an extra box with detailled information. The body of the mascara bottle has a matte brown color. Because of the color I was first unsure which color the mascara has, but it is a black colored mascara.

Other than this the packaging is not really special and doesn’t have any kind of ornaments or decorative elements. It looks simple and mature like most of Innisfree’s products. The brush of the mascara is medium, I would say. It is not super thin, nor is it very thick. The wand has a normal length like almost all mascaras have. You can see the production date printed on the bottle, too.

Below you can see how the mascara looks on my lashes. It makes my lashes look thicker and gives them a nice curl. All in all, my lashes get more visible. The consistency is creamy and you feel that there is some kind of essence in it, because it feels a bit “heavier”. It wasn’t bothering though. I have to point out that this mascara is a fibretype mascara and it is not easy to remove. It works best with some eye make-up remover and warm water. On the other hand, I didn’t experience any fall-off or smudging with this mascara and I love using it.

Innisfree Soy Essence Volume Mascara is a good and affordable mascara that I enjoy using. It costs 14.68 US$ at W2Bauty for 9g of product. There are also other types of this mascara, like the Innisfree Soy Essence Curling mascara and the Soy Essence Waterproof mascara available. Other than that you can get it from testerkorea for 10000 Won/10 US$ (shipping not included). I’m really happy that I got mine during the 50% sale, because it was such a great deal for 5 bucks only :D.

Review: Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

As you know, I’m really falling easily for cute packaging. If cute packaging is combined with a Disney theme, I’m totally helpless and I simply cannot resist to grab it…Etude House and Disney collaboratons are nothing new. They had other Disney themed cosmetic products previously, like the Minnie Collection or the Cinderella Collection. Now they released another collection called Princess Happy Ending, having products dedicted to the different Disney princesses. Here you’ll see the Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks from this collection dedicted to Belle from Beauty and the Beast and to Snow White.

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Just take a moment to look at the beautifully designed cardboard boxes of the two lipsticks ♥ Each of them is designed according to the corresponding fairytale, you see roses for Belle and apples and castles for Snow White. Not only the front site looks beautiful, but also the other sides of the cardboeard box. You even see the silouette of each princess above the barcode of the product.

I took a lot of pictures from the packaging because it is so pretty.

The design of the box is continued on the lipstick itself. The shade of the Snow White lipstick is called “Apple Red Lips”, whereas Belle’s lipstick is called “Purple Rose Lips”.

The bottom of the lipstick case again displays the name of the princess, whereas the cap fits to the packaging design. The ornaments and writings are in silver for Snow White and in golden for Belle. The production date is printed on the bottom of the lipstick case.

Below you see how much lipstick each of them contains, since I twisted the bullet out completely. Each lipstick contains 3.5 g of product. You can see that the Snow White Apple Red Lips has a bright red bullet, the Belle Purple Rose Lips is a bright and vivid purple color.

You can see the color of the swatches below on my hand and afterwards how it looks on my lips. I have to say that the swatches on my hand look more realistic for the red color, since it is really a bright red color with and – to my joy- not cherry toned, because I have so many cherry toned red lipsticks. You can also see how moist these lipsticks look. They do not feel drying and I honestly love the texture. It is butter-like smooth and doesn’t make you feel like you have some thick layer on your lips. It also has a nice and durable stain which doesn’t look awkward. Of course they don’t survive eating, but nevertheless I’m pleasantly surprised.

At the moment, these two are my favourite lipsticks. They are so wearable, especially since I tend to to wear fully covered lips. The promotional pictures also show that you can use these for a toned down look with an gradient effect. I bought these two precious lipsticks from W2Bauty but it is sold out. There are still some of the other items of the Princess Happy Ending Collection though. Review: Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

Here is my second review I wrote for Beautifan, which is about Etude House Dust Cust Finish Cream (click >>here<< to see it). Some of you might know that store already, so you will be surprised because they changed their online shop design completelly and they reduced prices and changed the shipping, too. Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream is part of the Dust Cut Line which was released in spring 2014 by Etude House. This line is designed in order to prevent the sensitive skin after winter time from spring time pollution. The Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream is supposed to build a shield on your skin and prevent your skin from harmful particles. The Dust Cut line is not pink, nevertheless the pale blue or mint packaging looks adorable. The packaging design is simple, but it looks nice nevertheless. The description on the cardboard box is in English and Korean.

You can check the ingredients list of the cream on COSDNA here. Most of the ingredients are green flagged and the cream contains a couple of plant extracts, too, which have astringent, anti-inflammatory or moisturizing properties. The Dust Cut Finish Cream has three main tasks it has to fulfill: 1. Soothing, 2. Cleansing and 3. Protecting. That means it protects your skin from harmful ingredients like fine dust and other contamination. Additionally, it acts soothing and cleaning by use of natural hypoallergenic ingredients. Last but not least, this cream is 5-free, which means it doesn’t contain mineral oil, sulfates, triethanolamine, artificial pigment, and parabens.

The Dust Cut Finish Cream comes in a tube with the same design as the cardboard box. It has a silver cap and contains 65 g of product, so it will last quite some time. the bachside of the tube has some Korean description on it, too.

As you can see below, the opening of the tube was closed by aluminium foil, so that the product is closed tightly until the first use of the buyer.

It is a standard tube opening, nothing special about it. The tube can stand on the cap, which I personally prefer to those tubes with a small cap, so you have to lie them down :)

The Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream has a fresh floral scent and has a light consistency. It has a white color, but when spread it feels like it turns to water, moist and refreshing. It is not sticky at all, but leaves the skin with a nice glow. Below is the swatch on the back of my hand:

Etude House advertises this Finish Cream to have a cleansing effect and protect your skin from particles. I didn’t understand first how exactly this should work, but I made the following test: I used some different make up on my arm like BB cream, mascara, lip liner and eyeliner. The right part of my arm was prepared beforehand with the Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream, whereas on the left part the makeup was directly applied on my skin. Then I used tepid water and washed my arm. Below you can see the result and it is amazing!

As you can see the right part of my arm is cleaned off- only by using water! The left part shows still the traces of the makeup I used. As you can see, this product really helps you to cleanse off easily the products you applied on your skin. I really started to incooperate this into my skincare rooutine and I use it on top of my daily moisturizer because of my dry skin. For oily skin, this might be already enough moisture and you won’t need to apply another cream below. You can use this not only for daytime, but for nighttime, too, which makes the cleansing in the morning with water only or a light cleanser even more easy! Totally love this cream ♥ You can buy Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream at ibuybeauty for US$11.50. Since the tube contains a lot of product, the price is adequate in my eyes. It will last you quite some time. Shipping on ibuybeauti depends on weight. They changed it just recently, but reduced the product prices in order to balance it. I think this is a good idea. Review: Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder

Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder is the first cleansing powder I tried and it was provided by Wishtrend. I ordered this mainly because I was curious about the cleansing powder, secondly, I like the idea that this cleanser contains vitamins, too, for a gentle scrub and removing of dead cells. By the way, congratulations to all the winners of my giveaways! I announced the winners on the Rafflecopter widgets, and everything is confirmed and fine. Rojukiss is a Korean brand which main ideology are “human, nature and science”. They try to help the skin by using natural ingredients, which don’t harm our body. The Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder aims at dead skin cell removal, skin brightening, skin elasticity, deep moisturizing, skin trouble prevention, and skin protection. The ingredients list is not too long and contains mostly green flagged ingredients (click >>here<<). It contains the enzyme Papain as exfoliator for your skin, which can be irritant for sensitive skin types. Papain can break down dead skin cells and makes your skin appear brighter and less dull by this way. As a natural exfoliator it doesn’t dry out the skin. As I mentioned above, this cleanser also contains 5 vitamins: C, E, B3, B5, B6.

The Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder comes in a squeezable plastic bottle, with a cap. The etiquette is waterproof, and you can take the bottle into wet hands, without loosing the product name etc. The cleanser comes as a white powder and when lathering you create foam. It is not a very dense and fine foam, though. I find it a bit hard to get the powder out of the bottle and I need to pour a couple of times before I get the amount which is necessary to build up enough foam, but the cleanser smells lightly of fruits, like those multi vitamine drinks.

Although the cleanser doesn’t build up a lot of foam and I thought after first time use that it doesn’t have any cleansing power at all, I was convinced that i’m wrong after I did the underarm test. The Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder removed almost everything, just leaving some light traces of make up which is designed to be removed by oil based cleanser anyways. I was really surprised about this :) Since the cleanser doesn’t leather up in huge amounts of foam, I didn’t have the feeling of having a dry skin after washing my face either.

I’ve ended up using Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder mostly in the morning, because it feels light and smells refreshingly fruity. I have to point out, that the powder form this cleanser has is super for travelling- no spilling of liquids in your bag etc. If you like cleansers with only little foam you will love this even more, especially people with dry skin might like this, because it doesn’t fill stripping on the skin. The only downside is the cap, which i would remove, because it sometimes can be hard to get the powder out..on the other hand, I cannot think of a better or another solution for the bottle. Unboxing: MeMeBox Diet Box

Here is finally the unboxing of the MeMeBox Diet Edition I received some time ago. I was just curious about the content and it is really a funny box. If you are curious, too, then cpontinue reading :)

MeMeBox is a box service company, offering a wide amount of different beauty boxes. Unlike most western beauty boxes which have to be subscribed for on a monthly basis, MeMeBoxes can be preordered but that doesn’t force you to buy more than the desired box. They ship to many countries and the products they send in their boxes are mainly Korean. Apart from their monthly Global Boxes like the ones I reviewed previously (check out the links at the end of the post), they also have a huge amount of themed boxes, Mini Boxes, Boxes where you know what is inside, so called Superboxes with a higher value and so on…just check out their online store and you’ll find a huge selection of different boxes. Since they have become very popular within the blogger community they sell out pretty fast, but they bring up new beauty boxes so fast, that you cannot keep up with them anyways.

Here is the description of the box:

1. Purederm Miracle Body Shaping Treatment (2x5US$) – fullsize product

I never tried any of these but I would like to know if thewy make any difference…I cannot image how it should work exactly…it contains caffeine, which reduces the puffiness, and also some other oils.

2. LG Health Care Slim Fit Sparkling Shot (14x7g – 24US$) – fullsize product

This is a sparkling podwer for water and it tastes like multi vitamin drinks. I try to drink one each day, as recommended, but I forget sometimes…the description says it is not effective if you don’t exercise in parallel…so I don’T think this will make any big changes.

3. Dermahouse Lifting Shape Up Hot Gel (200ml – 34 US$) – fullsize product

I was super happy about this product, and I was secretly hoping for something like this, since I saw a similar gel from Missha and was very curious about how it applies…and I really like this, because it really gets warm when applied. I use the included Massage Roller to apply it! This gel also contains caffeine, coffee extracts, hot pepper extracts, mate tea leaf extracts etc…

4. STC Massage Roller (1 piece x 6 US$) – fullsize product

Love using this ♥ As I said, I use it together with the Lifting Shape Up Gel.

5. SXM I Value Body Amoule (7 ml – 5 US$) – fullsize product

I didn’t use this yet, but this ampoule should be applied on the desired areas of your body and contains a couple of fancy ingredients with are supposed to break down cellulites.

6. Ferderma Egyptian Diet Soap (200g – 18US$) – fullsize product

I love the packaging of this soap, since I’m a lover of ancient egyptian arts. This soap has a fresh and minty scent like toothpaste and the scent filled the whole box when I opened it. I cut the soap into two hals and I’m currently using it. Other than I expected, it doesn’t melt away quickly (that’s why I cut it in halfs), and it is cooling on the skin. The scent is refreshing and it is a nice soap with great ingredients…if this helps you with your diet is not sure though.

7. KepaClub Frozen Body Ggong Ggong Gel (100g x 16US$) – fullsize product

This gel is supposed to be kept in the freezer. The gel shoulkd break down white body fat and prevent the brown body fat from growing. I put the gel into the freezer, but I didn’T use it until now, because the idea of putting something cool on my skin at the moment (the weather is getting cooler, too) doesn’t please me at all! Nevertheless, I will tell you guys about my experience :D

All in all, a nice box with all fullsize product. There are some items I really like, like the hot gel and the roller, as well as the diet soap. The others have to be tested yet. The box holöd up to my expectations of a “diet box” all together. What do you think? Any items you would love to try?

Review: Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick

The Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick was part of my MeMeBox My Cute Wishlist I reviewed earlier, and it deserves it place in this box, simply because of it’s sweet candy stick design. I was really happy about the content of the box and this item is no exception. Since it is a lipbalm, it is also something which is handy all time and therefore usefull, too :)

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…The Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick fulfills these criteria, too, since it is a lipbalm designed like the candy sticks you know probably from Christmas :D The lipbalm is available in three different shades called Seedless Strawberry Candy, Sour Lemon Candy, and Oh!Orange Candy. The latter is the one I will show you here.

Each of the candy sticks comes in the color of the fruit described by the name and thus this one is orange…and not only the color matches, the scent is also a sweet orange scent which is lingering quite long (if you don’t like scents you should skip this). The lipbalm has no taste and feels moisturising and glides smoothly. On my swatch below you can see, that it has a light tint, but this is not visible on my lips, since I have pigmented lips. Maybe people with light colored lips will see an orange hue on their lips.

This is a cute lipbalm and it is comparable to Tonymoly’s Petit Bunny Gloss Bar I reviewed in my early blogging days. I love both of them, but I adore the fruity and fresh orange scent of the Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick! ♥ If you would like to buy this you can search through most of the Korean online retailes, for example from W2Bauty for 7.32 US$.

Review: Aritaum World Glam Coating Tint

I was super excited when Ibuybeauti contacted me a while ago, in order to write some reviews for their Beautifan page. Aritaum is a Korean brand which belongs to the Amore Pacific family. The first time I came into contact with this brand was though another lip product, the Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Tints, which I fell in love at first site, because of the beautiful and colorful design. In case of the World Glam Coatint Tints, it was not because of the design of the product, that I chose this. The design here is simple and mature here. The World Glam Coatint Tint collection comprises ten different shades and each shade is named after a city. That is where the name World Glam comes from. The name of the city is written in capital letters around the cap of the lip tint, which also has the corresponding color of the tint. Apart from this the packaging is black. I chose the shade “Shanghai”, a classic red according to the promotional pictures.

Each lip tint bottle contains 9 ml of lip tint. The description printed on the bottle is written in Korean. On the bottom you’ll find the production date of the lip tint. The Aritaum World Glam Coating Tint is provided with a doe foot applicator, which feels soft upon application. It is easy to use and allows you to create nicely coated lips.

Below, you can see how the tint looks swatched on my hand and lips. The color of the tint is a bright red with an orange hue. The orange hue is stronger than I expected, but it is a nice red shade in total. The texture of this lip tint lies somewhere between lip gloss and the milky lip tints. It is not sticky like a gloss, which I’m really happy about. Moreover, it gives your lips a soft texture. The pigmentation is really nice and covers the natural lip color. The scent of the Aritaum World Glam Coating Tint is fruity and the taste is the same. Some lip tints tend to taste a bit bitter, but this is not the case here.

Last but not least, the most important part when talking about lip products: How long is the lasting power of the Aritaum World Glam Coatint Tint? This tint lasts for up to 4 hours. It is waterproof to a ceratin extend- if leaves a stain on your lips even when drinking. When I swatched the lip tint on my hands and washed it off, the stain was still visible, too. The glossyness of the tint fades away after 3-4 hours, that’s when the soft feeling on your lips disappears and your lips feel normal/dry again. Of cource, this tint doesn’t survive any fatty foods either, but for a lip tint it shows a descent lasting time.

All in all, I love this tint. It became one of my favourites, especially when I go to work I love using it, because it stays long enough and I can reapply once or twice and that’s it…and even if I don’t, it leaves a natural stain and doesn’t look ugly while fading. If you are a lip tint lover – or lip product lover- I can recommend you to try the Aritaum World Glam Coating Tint. I think I will make sure to grab one or two other shades from this collection. you can buy this product for 14.99 US$ at ibuybeauti.
