Review: Etude House Lash Perm 3 Step Volumescara Black Minnie Edition ♥sponsored♥

25. November 2013
I’ve been wondering for a long time if it is worth a try to buy a mascara from an Asian brand, but I actually never new which one to try first. And each time I was really in need of a mascara, I preferred to buy one in the local drugstores here in Germany. On the other hand, I heard a lot of positive feedback about Etude House’s Lash Perm 3 Step Volumescara, and luckily twofacemall gave me the opportunity to finally try this mascara. (^_^)/ ♥
I was not really aware of the fact, that they changed the packaging of the Lash Perm 3 Step Volumescara for the Etude House XOXO Minnie collection, but it’s only the packaging which they changed. The mascara itself is the same as it was before. Actually, since I already was in love with the XOXO Minnie collection before (see my reviews on the other products from this collection >>here<< and >>here<<), it made me even more happy, that I got this :D
Here is the description for Etude House’s Lash Perm 3 Step Volumescara and some pictures of the packaging ♥:
The mascara is not the largest one, but you can change between 3 steps in order to create the desired degree of volume on your lashes. The wand is on the shorter side, but it was easily to use and handle. The color of this mascara is black, but it is available in brown, too (for the standard packing though). Since I already have long lashes (at least I’m happy with the length), I was especially curious for the volume. I tried to show the effects on some pictures, but I don’t know if it is visible nicely :/ , but I can tell you, that this mascara totally convinced me: It gives my lashes a curl that lasts all day long and it makes them appear perfectly dense when applying the 3 steps. And this is all I want from a good mascara. Also, although I was not primarily looking for any lengthening, this mascara lengthens my lashes visible and it didn’t smudge all over and around my eyes during the day. The only thing which is not included in this mascara is waterproof-ness, but it doesn’t claim to be waterproof either.
I can totally recommend this mascara and I’m really happy that I finally did try an Asian mascara. If you are looking for a fun-to-use mascara which gives you volume and length and a nice curl you can go perfectly fine with this one.
As I mentioned above, I received this from twofacemall and you can get it from their shop for US$15.90. The mascara contains 9.5 g. The brown mascara is available for US$15.26. They offer free worldwide shipping, too, and they give samples with every order.

This mascara looks so nice , I love the packaging! It reminds me of a toy haha. But I think the 3 step option is pretty cool and fun ehehe~. This mascara was on my wishlist for soo long already but it was too expensive for me to buy yet, I think I will stick, like you, for drugstore mascaras for the next few months (or years lol) :D
Anyways, thanks for this review :3

Haha, I mean it is still the most conventient way to get a mascara for us, isn’t it? I agree about the packaging and the funny way with the three steps. Hopefully you’ll be able to try this sometime. Thanks for reading and commenting ♥

November 2013 at 16:16

This looks great! How is the lasting power? Does it start to flake off or anything after a while?

    • Fräulein Schnee 27. November 2013 at 16:17

I didn’t see any flaking during wearing it. This is really a nice mascara, if it would be waterproof it would be even better, but I can live with that XD Thanks for commenting ♥

I think 15 dollars for a street shop mascara (isnt etude house a street shop) is kinda too expensive for me to spend ._. I have always wanted to try this one out (i mean you can change the freakin wand how cooler can it be?!) But i guess i will stick to maybelline mascaras lol as it’s pretty cheap and have good quality

    • Fräulein Schnee 27. November 2013 at 16:21

Etude House is a drug Store brand, that’s right, but a mascara from Maybelline costs around 10 € which is not actually cheaper. And I like this one actually more than the usual Maybelline mascara I used to buy. :D Thanks for commenting and reading dear ♥

  • The Serotinal 25. November 2013 at 22:53

Your natural lashes are so pretty and long! Mine are short and stubby and hardly visible lol. It works really nicely on you!

    • Fräulein Schnee 27. November 2013 at 16:22

Thank you, I was unsure if the effect is visible on the pictures. Thanks for commenting and reading ♥

  • Marxie ♔ 26. November 2013 at 3:07

I’m not really a fan of mascaras but I must admit that I was a bit tempted to get this when this was officially released. XD
This looks really nice on you and seeing how much you like it makes me want to get it now. *o*
    Thanks for the review! :)

    • Fräulein Schnee 27. November 2013 at 16:23

I’m not a mascara addict, let’s put it like this, and I normally won’t buy any new one, until the old one is empty, but luckily this was exactly about the time XD
Thank you for reading and commenting, Marxie ♥

  • Mizu chan 26. November 2013 at 12:06

I really love this mascara(not the minnie version but does it is different from the previous version anyway?)
It gives all I wanted in a mascara and uhh, except for the non-waterproof type..

    • Fräulein Schnee 27. November 2013 at 16:25

No, it is simply the packaging they have changed, the mascara and everything else is the same as the old version. I think, once the Minnie Edition is sold out, they will go back to the old packaging. I love this mascara, too and I agree absolutely! Thanks for reading and commenting!♥

  • Bethany 2. December 2013 at 18:06

    Ohhh, lovely new layout. x3
The Etude House mascara I tried was kinda meh, but that one looks like it does quite a lot for your lashes.

    • Fräulein Schnee 3. December 2013 at 17:30

Thank you, it took me so long to finally change the layout, and the previous one became just too crowded and I wanted to simplify it. Hope it worked out a bit…

Yes, I read about your review. I was surprised this one actually did a great work on my lashes, I wasn’t expecting anything, haha
