Review: Etude House Help My Finger Part 2

14. November 2014

Yesterday, I introduced to you the Etude House Help My Finger Quick Drop Dry and today I’ll show you the second review from Etude House’s nail care line, the Etude House Help My Finger Nail Finger Pack. This is similar like a sheet mask, only it is designed for pampering your poor old nails and letting them recover from nail polish sessions :)

Etude House Help My Finger Part

First of all, some words about Etude House: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Also here, the packaging design looks lovely, displaying a nail with a happy face probably relaxing while being pampered. Scalloped pink borders all around the cardboard box frame this to an even more cute packaging. :)

Etude House Help My Finger Part

The  nail packs come in a sachet divided into two parts, one containing the finger packs for the left hand, the other for the right hand. You can tear the packaging open easily by using the indicated arrows. The backside of the sachet contains detailled product descriptions in Korean and in English. You can find the ingredients listed >>here<<. Mostly, the ingredients are safe and green flagged according to COSDNA. There are some plant and fruit extracts for nourishment of the nails and also Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, which has whitening properties.

Etude House Help My Finger Part

Below you’ll see the application on my hand. The first image shows my hand before I used the Etude House Help My Finger Nail Finger Pack. I just removed nail polish and my hand feels a bit dried up. In the second image you’ll see the tip of my fingers coated by the packs. It is like sheet mask socks on each of my fingers. These caps are covering half of my finger, so people with long fingers will also be able to use it. Also, as you can see, there is also space left in each cap for those with bigger hands (any male reader amongst us?!). In the last image you see my fingers after removing the caps (after around 15 minutes).

Etude House Help My Finger Part

As you can see, the tips are soaked nicely with essence. The essence is a milky type and smells of fruity yoghurt, which I like personally. Also, the sachets contain a lot of excess essence, you can use it on other days, like a hand cream…if you press on the opened sachet parts it will stick together tightly and be even usable after some weeks (that’s what I discovered at least while tidying up my room ^_^’). The finger packs have a rough and a smooth side. The smooth side is for pampering you nail, the rough side for the other side of you finger. I didn’t know what function it has, except of trying to make your life easier in these 15 minutes while using you hands.

Etude House Help My Finger Part

It takes a couple of seconds for the moisture to fully absorb, but your skin feels super soft afterwards. I must say it has a tiny sticky feeling to it though, but if you use it before going to bad it will hardly disturb you. It was a bit tricky to separate the single caps from each other when I took them out of the sachet. Especially the second hand is difficult, if you already hooded your other hand before. But nevertheless it was a nice experience and my nails were happy about the pampering time. Next I would love to try a full hand mask :) I received mine from  KollectionK for 1.69US$. I think the price is very reasonable.

Review: Etude House Help My Finger Part 1

13. November 2014

My next posts will be about two products from the Etude House Help My Finger line, which are designed to provide your poor and neglated nails some care. If there is a perfect time for nailcare, it must be towards autumn and winter, like it is here in Europe at the moment ;D The first product I’ll review today is the Etude House Help My Finger Quick Dry Drop. Honestly, I never used a nail polish drying drop before, so I’m even more overwhelmed by the power of “technology”, if it might be called like that XD How did I survive all these years using nail polish without such a quick drier?!

Etude House Help My Finger

First of all, some words about Etude House: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Also here, the packaging design looks lovely, displaying a nail with a happy face probably relaxing while being pampered. Scalloped pink borders all around the cardboard box frame this to an even more cute packaging. :) This product will help you to make your nailpolish dry faster. Actually, after some seconds you can already touch your nails.

Etude House Help My Finger

The cardboard box contains a lot of description, mostly it is written in Korean, but on one side you’ll find the English description, ingredients and directions, too. The product itself contains 10 ml and can be used for 12 months after opening. The ingredients of this product are safe according to COSDNA. You can check it up >>here<<.

Etude House Help My Finger

The bottle of the Etude House Help My Finger Quick Dry Drop is made of clear (I think it is) glass with a cap which is a pipette or dropper at the same time. The nob for soaking in the product is made of a harder plastic and  you need to sqeeze it some times until you know what pressure it needs. The solution of the drier is a clear one. You need one drop per nail, maybe two if you use it on your thumb.

Etude House Help My Finger

As soon as you drop the solution onyour polished nails it spreads on the whole nail super fast. The nailpolish dries and you can use your hands again without being worried about strange marks on the nail polish. Usually, this always happens to me, because I’m not very patient with nailpolish, so you can gues what a big discovery this was for me.

Etude House Help My Finger

Apart from being amazed about the magic work of a nailpolish drier it is also nice that the nails do not feel dry after using but moisturized. I’m really happy about the product and I can recommend you to get your own Quick Dry Drop :D I received mine from  KollectionK for 5.82US$ which is quite affordable for being such a time saver :)

Review: Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

23. September 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILKIATE LINKS //

As you know, I’m really falling easily for cute packaging. If cute packaging is combined with a Disney theme, I’m totally helpless and I simply cannot resist to grab it…Etude House and Disney collaboratons are nothing new. They had other Disney themed cosmetic products previously, like the Minnie Collection or the Cinderella Collection. Now they released another collection called Princess Happy Ending, having products dedicted to the different Disney princesses. Here you’ll see the Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks from this collection dedicted to Belle from Beauty and the Beast and to Snow White.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Just take a moment to look at the beautifully designed cardboard boxes of the two lipsticks ♥ Each of them is designed according to the corresponding fairytale, you see roses for Belle and apples and castles for Snow White. Not only the front site looks beautiful, but also the other sides of the cardboeard box. You even see the silouette of each princess above the barcode of the product.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks EH_PrincessHappyEnding_lipstick_3

I took a lot of pictures from the packaging because it is so pretty.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

The design of the box is continued on the lipstick itself. The shade of the Snow White lipstick is called “Apple Red Lips”, whereas Belle’s lipstick is called “Purple Rose Lips”.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

The bottom of the lipstick case again displays the name of the princess, whereas the cap fits to the packaging design. The ornaments and writings are in silver for Snow White and in golden for Belle. The production date is printed on the bottom of the lipstick case.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

Below you see how much lipstick each of them contains, since I twisted the bullet out completely. Each lipstick contains 3.5 g of product. You can see that the Snow White Apple Red Lips has a bright red bullet, the Belle Purple Rose Lips is a bright and vivid purple color.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

You can see the color of the swatches below on my hand and afterwards how it looks on my lips. I have to say that the swatches on my hand look more realistic for the red color, since it is really a bright red color with and – to my joy- not cherry toned, because I have so many cherry toned red lipsticks. You can also see how moist these lipsticks look. They do not feel drying and I honestly love the texture. It is butter-like smooth and doesn’t make you feel like you have some thick layer on your lips. It also has a nice and durable stain which doesn’t look awkward. Of course they don’t survive eating, but nevertheless I’m pleasantly surprised.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Lipsticks

At the moment, these two are my favourite lipsticks. They are so wearable, especially since I tend to to wear fully covered lips. The promotional pictures also show that you can use these for a toned down look with an gradient effect. I bought these two precious lipsticks from  W2Bauty but it is sold out. There are still some of the other items of the Princess Happy Ending Collection though. Other than that you can get the lipsticks from KollectionK for 10.99 US$ (plus shipping), or from testerkorea for 9000 Won/9 US$ (plus shipping).

Review: Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

17. September 2014

Here is my second review I wrote for Beautifan, which is about Etude House Dust Cust Finish Cream (click >>here<< to see it). You can find my first review about Aritaum World Glam Coating Tint there, too. Beautifan is a review blog by the online shop ibuybeauti. Some of you might know that store already, so you will be surprised because they changed their online shop design completelly and they reduced prices and changed the shipping, too. I’d be happy if you check out Beautifan, too, and feel free to leave a comment there :)

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream is part of the Dust Cut Line which was released in spring 2014 by Etude House. This line is designed in order to prevent the sensitive skin after winter time from spring time pollution. The Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream is supposed to build a shield on your skin and prevent your skin from harmful particles. The Dust Cut line is not pink, nevertheless the pale blue or mint packaging looks adorable. The packaging design is simple, but it looks nice nevertheless. The description on the cardboard box is in English and Korean.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

You can check the ingredients list of the cream on COSDNA here. Most of the ingredients are green flagged and the cream contains a couple of plant extracts, too, which have astringent, anti-inflammatory or moisturizing properties. The Dust Cut Finish Cream has three main tasks it has to fulfill: 1. Soothing, 2. Cleansing and 3. Protecting. That means it protects your skin from harmful ingredients like fine dust and other contamination. Additionally, it acts soothing and cleaning by use of natural hypoallergenic ingredients. Last but not least, this cream is 5-free, which means it doesn’t contain mineral oil, sulfates, triethanolamine, artificial pigment, and parabens.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

The Dust Cut Finish Cream comes in a tube with the same design as the cardboard box. It has a silver cap and contains 65 g of product, so it will last quite some time. the bachside of the tube has some Korean description on it, too.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

As you can see below, the opening of the tube was closed by aluminium foil, so that the product is closed tightly until the first use of the buyer.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

It is a standard tube opening, nothing special about it. The tube can stand on the cap, which I personally prefer to those tubes with a small cap, so you have to lie them down :)

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

The Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream has a fresh floral scent and has a light consistency. It has a white color, but when spread it feels like it turns to water, moist and refreshing. It is not sticky at all, but leaves the skin with a nice glow. Below is the swatch on the back of my hand:

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

Etude House advertises this Finish Cream to have a cleansing effect and protect your skin from particles. I didn’t understand first how exactly this should work, but I made the following test: I used some different make up on my arm like BB cream, mascara, lip liner and eyeliner. The right part of my arm was prepared beforehand with the Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream, whereas on the left part the makeup was directly applied on my skin. Then I used tepid water and washed my arm. Below you can see the result and it is amazing!

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

As you can see the right part of my arm is cleaned off- only by using water! The left part shows still the traces of the makeup I used. As you can see, this product really helps you to cleanse off easily the products you applied on your skin. I really started to incooperate this into my skincare rooutine and I use it on top of my daily moisturizer because of my dry skin. For oily skin, this might be already enough moisture and you won’t need to apply another cream below. You can use this not only for daytime, but for nighttime, too, which makes the cleansing in the morning with water only or a light cleanser even more easy! Totally love this cream ♥ You can buy Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream at ibuybeauty for US$11.50. Since the tube contains a lot of product, the price is adequate in my eyes. It will last you quite some time. Shipping on ibuybeauti depends on weight. They changed it just recently, but reduced the product prices in order to balance it. I think this is a good idea. I’d be happy if you check out my two posts on Beautifan, too:

Review: Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick

3. September 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

The Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick was part of my MeMeBox My Cute Wishlist I reviewed earlier, and it deserves it place in this box, simply because of it’s sweet candy stick design. I was really happy about the content of the box and this item is no exception. Since it is a lipbalm, it is also something which is handy all time and therefore usefull, too :)

EH_SweetRecipeCandyStick_1

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…The Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick fulfills these criteria, too, since it is a lipbalm designed like the candy sticks you know probably from Christmas :D The lipbalm is available in three different shades called Seedless Strawberry Candy, Sour Lemon Candy, and Oh!Orange Candy. The latter is the one I will show you here.

EH_SweetRecipeCandyStick_2

Each of the candy sticks comes in the color of the fruit described by the name and thus this one is orange…and not only the color matches, the scent is also a sweet orange scent which is lingering quite long (if you don’t like scents you should skip this). The lipbalm has no taste and feels moisturising and glides smoothly. On my swatch below you can see, that it has a light tint, but this is not visible on my lips, since I have pigmented lips. Maybe people with light colored lips will see an orange hue on their lips.

EH_SweetRecipeCandyStick_3

This is a cute lipbalm and it is comparable to Tonymoly’s Petit Bunny Gloss Bar I reviewed in my early blogging days. I love both of them, but I adore the fruity and fresh orange scent of the Etude House Sweet Recipe Candy Stick! ♥ If you would like to buy this you can search through most of the Korean online retailes, for example from W2Bauty for 7.32 US$

Review: Etude House I Need You Heart Sheet Mask

28. August 2014

// KBEAUTY / SKINCARE / AFFILIATe LINKS //

I know that sheet mask reviews are not the most exciting reviews, honestly, but I simply couldn’t pass on reviewing this adorable Etude House I Need You Heart Sheet Mask ♥ I recieved it as a gift with my last W2Beauty haul some of you might have seen on my Instagram. Actually, this sheet mask is part of the Etude House I Need You A-Z Sheet Masks and is labelled as “free gift” on the packaging.

Etude House I Need You Heart Sheet Mask

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging (I also could not resist to order from their newest princess collection ~_~ ♥ ). Let’s go back to this sheet mask, which is, as I said, part of the I Need You A-Z sheet mask collection. The design of all the sheet masks from this line is lovely and designed with each letter of the alphabet. The Heart sheet mask here, is the only one with a pink heart on it. It has a 5 Berry Complex, which means it contains the extracts of 5 berries: blueberry, acai berry, rasberry, blackberry, and strawberry. Berries contain lots of antioxidants and vitamins and thus are beneficial for the skin.

Etude House I Need You Heart Sheet Mask

If we have a closer look to the back side of the packaging, you can see, that the upper part is written in Korean, displaying also images of how to apply the sheet mask. The lower part is written in English. The ingredients are mainly green and yellow flagged according to COSDNA. The sheet mask itself has a berry-like fruity scent which is really nice. Since the cotton sheet is soaked well with the essence, it feels cooling and moisturizing while application. It is a nice and quick way to refresh your face inbetween, as all sheet masks are, and give it a final boost. I loved using this mask, although it doesn’t claim to have any additional benefits, it does what a sheet mask primarily is supposed to do: it gives your skin some extra hydration!

Did you try any of the Etude House I Need You Sheet Masks? Do you have a favourite? If you would love to try this mask and are not happy enough to receive it as a gift, have a look at ebay. :)

Review: Etude House Play 101 Pencils No. 10,11,22

23. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Since the YouTube video by Pony showing makeup tutorials using Etude House’s newest release, the Etude House Play 101 Pencils, everybody seemed to be curious about them. The tutorials show, how to create different makeup looks, by simply using these new pencil liners by Etude House. 50 different colors were released for this new multipurpose product. I couldn’t resist buying three of them, although I really want to cut down on buying until I’ve used most of my products…but all these new releases do tempt me so much XD.

I decided to limit myself to three of these pencils, because otherwise I would have spend to much money again :D It was so hard to decide, since there are so many colors and there are different types, too. You can choose between matte, creamy, glossy, glitter and shimmer pencils. I ended up choosing these three friends: No.10, 11 and 22. My idea was to get one color suitable for contouring (10), one suitable as a blush (11) and one for the lips (22). You can use these pencils for many different things and not only as eyeliner, but also as blush, lip stain, eyeshadow or eyebrow pencil.

No. 10 is supposed to be a matte pencil, No. 11 is labelled creamy and No. 22 has glossy properties. All the pencils are delivered in a paper card box, each card box shaded in the color of the pencil. The corporate design is playful and contains typical ornaments, as we are used from Etude House. The number of the pencil is written in different styles on the package. The font size of the number is quite large, so you know directly which number to pick.

The paper card box also contains the description of the pencils. The Korean description is printed on the backside. I love the tiny sketch of the pencil sharpener in the speech balloon on the bottom part of the descriptions. ♥ I didn’t even know that a sharpener was included, so I was more than happy :) The English description is written on one of the sides of the box:

“This is a gel-type pencil that comes with vivid colors and various textures for easy and fun makeup play.
Directions:
Twist to dispense certain amount and use on desired area. Close cap after use. When using sharpener, insert lead and sharpen while turning slowly.”

The pencils themselves are made of black plastic with a protective cap on one side and the sharpener on the other side. The sharpener has the color of the pen, which is quite convenient if you store the pencils in a jar or similar.
The pencils have the name written on them on the one side, whereas the other side contains some Korean description again (do round pencils have a side at all?!:D).
The bottom of the pencils is again marked with the number of the pencil and an arrow indicating the part which is twistable, in order to dispense the product.
Now, the interesting part: how do the pencils perform? Below you can see the colors of the pencils tips and the included sharpener. It is tiny, so it can be used on the pencil bullet only. It won’t sharpen the pencil like a normal sharpener would and remove the plastic part of the pencil.
I swatched the three pencils on my hand with one normal swatch and one blended swatch. You can see the colors of the swatches with and without flash below. Comparing the colors to the promotional pictures, they don’t look the same. I thought No.10 and 22 would be darker and No. 11 more coral than orange. Nevertheless they are nice colors.

The only color I wished would have been different is No. 10 actually, because I thought it is slightly darker, so I could have used it for contouring or as eyeshadow. The beige color is too light to show up on my skin tone. I can use it as base color for eye shadows or for slightly retouching eye bags, but the matte consistency of the pencil makes it a bit difficult for the thin skin under the eyes. Other than this, all pencils glide smoothly on the skin. No. 11 is a nice blush color, which is not too intense and will look quite natural. My favourite is the No. 22, definitively. I thought it would be a darker shade, but nevertheless I love this shade a lot. It is perfectly usable on lips and doesn’t look flaky or drying (it is not moisturizing, but it does not dry your lips either), and as promised by the label it has a glossy finish. I tried to use No. 11 on my lips, too, but it did not work out and looked patchy and drying.

So, what is my conclusion for Etude House’s Play 101 Pencils? I would definitively recommend trying them. As for the Play Nail polishes from Etude House it might turn out that you like the one or the other shade more, but still it is great to have such a huge selection of different colors, which can be combined in different ways. It’s a pity that the promotional pictures are not 100% like the real product– and unfortunately, there is no local Etude House store here in Germany, so I could have tested the colors before deciding which one to buy. But nevertheless I’m happy with my choice and I could imagine to buy other shades, too. The price is okay, keeping in mind the nice packaging and the included sharpener.
You can get these pencils at W2Beauty for 6.00 US$.

I didn’t rate the ingredients, because each color has different ones :)

Review: Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel

16. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / SKINCARE / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Summer is coming closer these days and with warmer weather the skin has needs of a modified skincare. My skin tends to be very dry in cold winters, but in summer, when the temperature is rising, my skin turns to more normal and sometimes even shows tendencies to combination skin, with a shiny T-Zone. I put aside my super-duper moisturizing butters and creams and bought Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel to replace my daily moisturizer and it works great. ♥

There are plenty of different aloe soothing gels on the market these day, so why did I choose the one from Etude House, instead of one of the big jars which are provided by Nature Republic or by Mizon? The answer is simple: I was looking for a aloe gel which comes in a pump bottle, because this is the most conventient type of packaging and it is more hygienic too.

Etude House’s Aloe Soothing Gel is part of the Aloe Moistfull Collection. A cream, toner, emulsion etc. for the same line are also available and the signiture color of the line is this pale turquoise you see here, which is a beautiful color in my eyes, especially for skincare products somehow turquoise makes me feel perfectly cared of XD The marketing techniques work out, it seems :D The description on the paper cardbox are in Korean and in English. The main ingredients are aloe extract and other plant extracts. According to COSDNA there is no ingredient on the list with a red flag. (^_^)  ♥
As I said, the aloe soothing gel comes in a little pump bottle. There are two sizes available: one large bottle with 300 ml and a smaller bottle, which I purchased,  with 150 ml. The smaller one has a more travel friendly size. I chose the smaller bottle because I wanted to test the soothing gel in general before going for a larger bottle.
For making the pump work you have to untwist it after you unpacked from the box first. As soon as it is untwisted (visible because the neck of the pump gets longer (see the image below) you can push the pump in order to use the aloe gel. The first time use 2-3 pumps are needed for the first product to come out of the pump, but afterwards in general one pump is enough to cover my whole face with the aloe gel.
As expected, it is a clear gel type product, which is cooling and feels moist and hydrating. It needs a couple of minutes to absorb, but it leaves your skin refreshed and supple. You can also use the aloe gel on your body. I especially love to use it all over my skin directly after taking a shower. The scent is refreshing and pleasant and the effect is really nice. ♥
As I said, I use this gel mostly in the morning as replacement for my day cream. When I feel my skin to need more deeper moisture, for example at night, I just put a few drops of Argan Oil before using this. It works really nice. I always wait until it is absorbed fully (mostly by patting my skin) before I continue to use a priming cream or bb/cc cream or makeup.
If you are looking for a conventient to use aloe soothing gel, or if you want to switch to a lighter day cream I can recommend you to try this product. It is more hygienic than the aloe gels which come in a jar. Also, 150 ml which I bought seems to last forever already, so I can imagin that the jars will even last longer, but if you don’t use it extremly often, the product might get expired. On the other hand, aloe gel has a variaty of use. You can sooth sunburnt skin with it, take a tiny amount in order to ease frizzy hair or use it as a pampering mask…a lot of options. In the end you’ve to choose which form of packaging you like best :)  Aloe Soothing Gel in general is worth a try!
I bought my 150 ml bottle at W2Beauty for 13.93 US$. The large bottle (300 ml) costs 18.11 US$).

Review: Etude House Rosy Tint Lips Baby Peony

15. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

One of the highlights of last autumn’s collection from Etude House were the Rosy Tint Lips. Back then I reviewed one of those tints. Today I’ll show you another one of Etude House’s Rosy Tint Lips called Baby Peony (No.5) and I will show you a comparative swatch between this and the previous one called Rose Petal (No.3). The “& Rose” collection was inspired by the fairytale “The Sleeping Beauty” and 8 different shades are available for this collection.

I really love the packaging and I was attracted to buy this in first place because of the beautiful rose pattern on the paper card box. The packaging is very girly and fairytale-ish and contains descriptions of the product in English and Korean.
The applicator for the Rosy Tint Lips consists of a cushion as tip for blending out the lip tint. The lip tint itself has a solid form and due to the body of the lip tint which is made from hard plastic, it is difficult to squeeze out the product. This was my concern with the previous shade and this one isn’t any different. Nevertheless, the consistency, the pigmentation and the staying power are satisfying.
Baby Peony is a light pink shade which shows up even on more pigmented lips like mine. I have often a problem with brighter shades to be visible, especially orange shades are not working, but here you can clearly see the color. But unfortunately, since it is a light color, you have to scrub your lips before, or the color will stick to the flakes of the lips.
Below you can see Baby Peony and Rose Petal together. As you can see, the plastic body of the tints represents the color inside the tube. Check out my review for the Rose Petal Tint >>here<<.
Although Rose Petal is a red shade when applied fully, it looks similar to Baby Peony when blended out. Both are nice colors though and I think that they can be also combined for gradient lips.

The sponge applicator is also something I have mixed feelings about, as I mentioned in my previous post. It can be unhygienic, but the sponge cap can be taken off and cleaned. It makes it easy to create gradient and soft effects with help of sponge applicators like this. If you don’t want a gradient effect, but clear lines, the applicator will probably mess around the borders of your lips. In this case I’d recommend you to use a lip brush.
The scent of the Rosy Lip Tints is nice. It has a soft scent of roses, so if you are not a fan of rose scented products, don’t buy this :D The staying power is okay, as long as you don’t drink or eat. I’ve definitively seen worse lip tints. Btw., the Rosy Tint Lips can be used as blush, too, which works nicely :)
All in all the main issue I have with the Rosy Tint Lips is the tube. The hard plastic makes it inconvenient for application. Other then this I love the product itself. It is a solid and good working lip product with every day usage potential.

You can buy the Etude House Rosy Lip Tints at:

W2Beauty for US$ 12.55 (free shipping option. You’ll get a 5$ voucher upon registration with the code 088505 , which is usable for orders of minimum 30$)
Testerkorea for 8500 Won/ US$ ~8.50 (shipping costs depend on weight)
KollectionK for US$ 9.89 (shipping to Germany starts at US$ 4.99)
ebay fom US$ 9-19, depending on the seller (shipping depends on seller)

Review: Etude House Play Color Nails

26. April 2014

// KBEAUTY / NAILS / AFFILIATe LINKS //

It’s been a while since Etude House released their Play Nail Polishes. They introduced so many different colors and styles, that is was quite difficult to decide which ones to pick. I chose two nail polishes at that time, them I received two other ones in a giveaway, so I decided to make a collective post for all four nail polishes at once.

The shades I’ll show you today are No. 55, 118, 132 and 52 from left to right. Each of them represent a different type/style of nail polish.
On the label of the cap you’ll find the numbers and a letter code. The letter code represents the type of nail polish, meaning M for matte, P for paint, SG for Syrup and Glitter and PS for Paint and Syrup. (That’s at least what I could conclude. Feel free to comment if it is not correct :D).
The design of the tiny bottles is cute and they have a perfect shape to be stored and collected. They beautified the bottles with a lace art ribbon on the upper rim. I personally loved the old shape of the nail polish bottles from Etude House more :D They were more princess-y *_*…
All in all the quality is quite descent for the price. But you need two layers of polish to receive a nice coverage. Another downside is, that they need quite a time to dry, especially if you use two coats of polish. Other than these points, these nail polishes are really nice. Etude House offers us a huge variance of different colors and styles and probably you’ll find every thing you’ll need. Unfortunately, the matte nail polishes were limited, but I hope that they will return for autumn :D…
No. 55
No. 118
No. 131
No. 52
Which one is your favourite? Did you try any of Etude House’s Play nail polishes?

You can get these nail polishes almost in every online store which is selling Etude House products, for example:

Twofacemall for US$ 5.13 ( free shipping option) – They are currently on sale, normally they cost 18.28 US$

W2Beauty from US$ 4.64 onwards (free shipping option. You’ll get a 5$ voucher upon registration with this link, which is usable for orders of minimum 30$)

Testerkorea from 2000 Won onwards (around 2 US$) (shipping depends on weight)
