Unboxing: Japan Candy Box September 2016 and Giveaway

11. November 2016

The last Japan Candy Box unboxing has been months ago. Time for a new one for this Japanese sweets subscription box! This is the Japan Candy Box September 2016! And as usual, there will be a giveaway at the end of this post where you have the chance to win a Japan Candy Box, so it is worth continue reading! ;) Let’s see what delicious sweets I received this time:

Japan Candy Box September 2016

Japan Candy Box is a Japanese sweets subscription box by Blippo. Apart from the Japan Candy Box they also have the Kawaii Box, which contains cute toy items, stationary, tiny plushies and so on. I’m very happy to be able to show you the Japan Candy Box September 2016! I love to try out sweets and food from different countries and one thing I especially love about Japanese products is the cute packaging design and the little details they include to make the product most enjoyable. Some of the product I knew already, but there were some new and also delicious discoveries, too!

Japan Candy Box September 2016

Each Japan Candy Box comes with a cute card listing the items that were included in the box. There are a total of 10 items for this month including all kinds of Japanese sweets and snacks.

Japan Candy Box September 2016

You already see all the colorful packaging of the different sweets and snacks popping up in the picture below. And of course all the products are cute and funny regarding their design.

Japan Candy Box September 2016

Usually, there is one DIY kit per box but for this month there were even two DIY Kits: Popin’ Cookin’ Oekaki Animal Candy Land DIY Kit and Kracie Dodotto Octopus Eggs DIY Kit. With the Popin’ Cookin’ Oekaki Animal Candy Land DIY Kit set you can make your own sweets. There are molds with differently shaped animals which you can use to create muli-colored soda-flavored gummy animals. Kracie Dodotto Octopus Eggs DIY Kit sounds not really like something that I would love to eat, but seems that you can create soda-flavored bits of candy looking like octopus eggs that can be eaten with a fizzy candy powder on top. The DIY Kits are especially fun for children!

The box also contains some savory snacks, Calbee Vegetable Snacks and Tohato Caramel Corn. I love the idea by Calbee of making snacks with other vegetables as potatoes, but bell pepper, carrot and tomato. also, they have no extra oil or fat added. I love how the Tohato Caramel Corn has a face printed on the packaging.

Japan Candy Box September 2016

The majority of the box is candy like the Kanro Pure Mini Gummies, Coris Soft Centered Grape Gum, and Kabaya Mixed Fruit Bottle Candy. Love how all three of them have purple colors :D It seems also that Japanese people love grape and especially candies with grape taste. The Kanro Pure Mini Gummies are made from 100% fruit purée with no artificial colors or flavors. These soft fruit gummies are covered in sour powder. The Coris Soft Centered Grape Gums are the perfect Trick or Treat Candy! These soft grape flavoured gum balls have a soft cola paste center, but one of the three tasty bubble gum treats is actually a super sour flavour sweet in disguise :D Lastly, the Kabaya Mixed Fruit Bottle Candy are tiny, hard candy pieces with different fruity flavours (apple, grape and orange). I love the cute packaging design of this one!

Japan Candy Box September 2016

Japanese sweets are also known for anime themed packaging or other cute illustrations, like the Lotte Pokemon Ramune Candy, the Doraemon Ramune Squash Soda Bubble Gum and the Coris Berry Mix Soft Candy. They all have the most adorable packaging designs.

Japan Candy Box September 2016

I love the Lotte Pokemon Ramune Candy Design. It displays Pikachu and has Ananas flavour. These round candy start frizzing when you eat them. By the way, Ramune is quite popular these days in Japan and it is a citrus flavoured soda drink. The Doraemon Ramune Squash Soda Bubble Gum contains five stripes of bubble gum, each wrapped in a paper with a different Doraemon design.

Japan Candy Box September 2016

The Japan Candy Box for September 2016 was full of versatile candy and snacks from Japan. I knew some of the brands, but I didn’t try any of the products in one of the previous Japan Candy Boxes. I missed the biscuits or chocolate flavoured products in this box though.  I love how they added the messages into the cardboradbox, too! If you are interested in your own Japan Candy Box  you can make a monthly subscription for this box. You can choose between several options: either to order only one box, to order three boxes (3 months subscription), 6 boxes (6 months subscription) or 12 boxes (1 year subscription). Each box retails at 19.90 US$. For the 6 months and the 12 months subscription you pay a bit less per box. Now, if you have reading so far you’ll probably be curious for the giveaway. Here it is: You can win a Japan Candy Box of you own sponsored by Japan Candy Box. For entering the giveaway please take part with help of the Rafflecopter gadget below:

Review: Oolu Moisture Liquid Jasmine and Rose

6. November 2016
I still cannot believe that I’m part of the MeMeBox Brand Ambassador program and that they’ve already been so kind to send me so many exciting products I cannot wait to share with you. If you are on a “no-buy” month you should definitely skip reading this review because the following products from the brand Oolu by Dr. OhKims are beyond beautiful. This review is about the Oolu Moisture Liquid.
Oolu Moisture Liquid

Oolu is a sister brand of Whamisa. If you know Whamisa you might already have thought about the resemblance in their packaging design and style. Both products are belonging to Dr. Ohkims Cosmetics. That is why both brands are focussing on natural cosmetic products and especially fermented plant extracts. The description for this brand stated at MeMeBox says:

  Oolu Moisture Liquid
“When plastic surgeons from Korea, the world’s leading nation in plastic surgery, create an organic skincare line, everyone ought to take note. The doctors behind Oolu, by Ohkims Cosmetic, believe natural beauty is the best beauty, so they curated choice floral leaves that help strengthen skin’s self-regenerating powers. A 1,656-hour fermentation process from selection to blending and steeping maximizes the natural benefits of these organic ingredients. Then the premium products, from toning mists to mask packs, are hand-made to ensure the highest quality. As they say, true beauty takes patience.”
Oolu Moisture Liquid

I received a whole bunch of products from Oolu but I didn’t want to fit them all in one post, instead I divide the post into three parts starting with the Oolu Moisture Liquids. I was beyond happy to see that I received even two versions of the Oolu Moisture Liquid, the Jasmine version and the Rose version. These are also the two versions available on MeMeBox. On the official page of Ohkims cosmetics there is a third Moisture Liquid with Sunflower.

Oolu Moisture Liquid

Looking at the beautiful cardboard box packaging it is hard to imagine that the inside can even be more breathtaking, but it is! The bottles of the Oolu Moisture Liquid contain real flower petals and blossoms! It is so amazingly beautiful I cannot keep from looking at them. The description says, that to make one of those gorgeous bottles of Moisture Liquid it takes 1656 hours of preparation starting with collecting, drying, selecting and preserving process, blending, and so on. Although both Oolu Moisture Liquids are toners and are used after cleansing your face and before using other products like serums and cream both have distinct properties.

Oolu Moisture Liquid

Oolu Jasmine Moisture Liquid

The description of the Oolus Jasmine Moisture Liquid says: “Jasmine Bloom with botanical natural extracts help the skin toning, moisturizing and revitalizing. It increases the skin elasticity and clearness.” This yellow colored liquid comes in a hard plastic bottle with a metal lid. Inside the bottle you will spot beautiful tiny jasmine flowers. I made a video on Instagram showing how pretty the flowers look like. The ingredients of the Jasmine Moisture Liquid are listed on MeMeBox:

Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Caulerpa Lentillifera Extract, Artemisia Annua Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Helichrysum Italicum (Everlasting) Extract, Azadirachta Indica Leaf Extract, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Rosa Rugosa Flower Extract, Magnolia Kobus Flower Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Jasmine Flower, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Alcohol

You can look up the ingredients at COSDNA, too. All ingredients except of Jasmine Oil are labelled green. Jasmine Oil can be irritant to some people because it is considered a very heavy oil, so please be sure to avoid the product if you react to it. Jasmine Flower and Leaf extract is the key ingredient of course and it acts not only as fragrance but also for moisturizing and anti-inflammatory ingredient. Apart from Jasmine, which is obviously a key ingredient according to the name, you will discover our old friends Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide in the list. Also another bunch of plant extracts are listed (eg. licorice) . Lastly, the toner uses alcohol for better absorption into the skin. If you have dry skin and are worried about alcohol here: there is no need to fear that the alcohol dries out your skin. The Jasmine oil and the bergamotte oil give the Oolu Moisture Liquid a light oil consistency, not heavy but still you will feel how nicely it glides on the skin and how it feels like more than just a bit of water and alcohol, although it actually only looks like water. I find it extremely moisturizing and skin conditioning. The jasmine scent is definitely recognizable and it feels like a spa event if you like the scent and apply it. A little goes a long way here. You can decide whether to apply the moisture liquid by hands or by cotton pad. I usually use my hands for applying. It has a slightly sticky feeling to it at first, which disappears after a bit.

Oolu Moisture Liquid

Oolu Moisture Liquid

Oolu Rose Moisture Liquid

The description of the Oolu Rose Moisture Liquid says: “Fresh Rose Petal with botanical extracts help the skin calming, deep moisturizing and increases the skin elasticity.” This pink colored liquid comes in a hard plastic bottle with a metal lid, like the Jasmine Moisture Liquid. Inside the bottle you will spot rose petals instead of jasmine blossoms. The ingredients of the Rose Moisture Liquid are listed on MeMeBox:

Rose Damascena Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion) Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Iris Versicolor Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Caulerpa Lentillifera Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Rose Damascena Flower, Adenosine, Rose Damascena Flower Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Brassica Oleracea Capitata (Cabbage) Leaf Extract, Alcohol

You can look up the ingredients at COSDNA, too. All ingredients are labelled green. Rose is surely the key ingredient here. Rose extract is antibacterial in first case, but also acts as fragrant. You will discover Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide in the list here, too. Also another bunch of plant extracts are listed. Lastly, the toner uses alcohol for better absorption into the skin. If you have dry skin and are worried about alcohol here: there is no need to fear that the alcohol dries out your skin. The rose oil and the wild geranium oil give the Oolu Moisture Liquid a light oil consistency, similar to the Jasmine Moisture Liquid. The scent is not an extreme rose heavy as some other products, but you will definitely recognize the rose scent. A little goes a long way here, too. You can decide whether to apply the moisture liquid by hands or by cotton pad. I usually use my hands for applying. It has a slightly sticky feeling to it at first, which disappears after a bit.

Oolu Moisture Liquid

If you are a sucker for special packaging design you will need to get the Oolu Moisture Liquid Jasmine and/or Rose. The flowers inside the bottles are super pretty. I also like the hard plastic bottles here. Furthermore, I’m quite a scent-loving person and these definitely have a scent to them. I really like both because I love rose and I love jasmine scent. Although the two toners claim to have slightly different properties I didn’t feel any difference between using these two. I really like them both. Oh, and did I say that Oolu products are free from animal testing?! Also, their pH is between 5-6. Each bottle of this precious Oolu Moisture Liquid contains 200 ml and retails for Oolus Jasmine Moisture Liquid . Also, since it is natural cosmetics it has to be used within 6 months after opening. What do you think about these two products?

Review: It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Ampoule

2. November 2016

Another propolis ampoule I’ve been trying since I finished up the COSRX Propolis Light Ampule: I received the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Ampoule by Korean cosmetics online shop Qdepot and I’ve been testing it for quite a while now. Actually, I’ve been wanting to try something from the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula line a long time already, so I’m happy I was offered this opportunity.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis

It’s Skin is a Korean brand made by dermatologists at Seoul University and it was created to recover the natural power of the skin. The brand is not expansive, but on the same level like Etude House. They also have some cute designs for some of their products, so in general it is an interesting brand, especially their Power 10 Formula intrigued me for a long time. There are 12 or even 13 different kinds of ampoules reaching from Vitamins to Q10, and even yeast filtrate. I guess you will find every possible ampoule. I decided to try another Propolis Ampoule since I enjoyed the previous one already so much.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis

The It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Ampoule comes in a glass bottle with an attached pipette as lid. The bottle is yellow colored, but transparent enough to see how much product is left inside. Of course the key ingredient here is Propolis. Propolis is a resinous mixture collected from barks of trees by bees to seal their chambers with the larvae. Propolis has antibacterial and antifungal properties and thus protects the larva, but this also makes it useful in skincare, especially for troubled skin, but it also has skin conditioning properties and makes your skin feel smooth.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis

If you check COSDNA you will see that the ingredients list is not too long, which is quite positive. Apart from Propolis the ampoule contains honey, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, which are all great and effective ingredients for anti-inflammatory effects, hydration and brightening. The majority of the ingredients is green labelled, too.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis

The It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Ampoule has a milky consistency, which is not totally liquid like a toner but shows some substance. It is easily blended in though and turns into a watery solution once starting to rub it in. It makes the skin feel smooth while applying and glides over the skin– not in the same way as oil, but in a silky smooth way, if you know what I mean. The scent is nice, too, and not overly strong. The ampoule absorbs quickly without a sticky or greasy feeling, but it leaves a nice glow on the skin. I use a few drops on my skin until I feel I have used enough to cover my face and neck.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis

It is hard to say which ampoule I would prefer, the one from COSRX or the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Ampoule. Both are different in their consistency and in the feeling they leave on the skin. The COSRX serum has the shorter ingredients lists and doesn’t contain any potential triggers. Since it is a light ampoule it is probably suited better for sensitive skintypes. The Propolis serum from It’s Skin feels “heavier” without  being heavy on the skin, but the texture feels richer. I like both ampoules but if I had both at hands I would prefer the COSRX one for summer season and the one from It’s Skin for winter. You can buy the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Ampoule from QDepot for 18.13 US$.

Q-depot is an online retailer for Korean cosmetics. They have already quite a variety of the most popular Korean brands and they keep adding products frequently. The site is easy to navigate, too. And they offer free samples for each order and free shipping for orders above US$ 49. They are committed to contributing 3% of their group’s net profit for social causes in different countries. So you can shop for your favorite Korean products and do something good, too. Also, Q-depot is having a promotion were you can get 5 US$ off your first order by using the code SW5OFF (orders +50 US$) or 10% off your first order using SW10OFF.

Review: Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

27. October 2016

// AFFILIATE LINKS / LIPS / KBEAUTY //

When MeMeBox launched their first cooperation with Pony I was so excited. I loved (and still love) watching her tutorials on YouTube. I had to order the Pony x MeMeBox Eyeshadow Palette right away and I’m still in love with it and use it super often, and more than other eyeshadow palettes I bought. When Pony launched her own makeup brand called Pony Effect, I was super excited, but the fact that they were not so easy to order (MeMeBox wasn’t shipping to Germany any longer) and also quite expensive made me stay away from buying. After a while W2Beauty started to carry the products from MeMeBox and things got more easy for me, too, but I was still not sure what to buy. Especially when you have more than enough from anything and try to reduce the amount of cosmetics by finally using it up…Nevertheless, I couldn’t resist buying the Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colours when they released…Shame on me!

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

“Discover a more beautiful You, discover your beauty potential” is the leading statement and motivation by makeup artist Pony for her brand Pony Effect. The products from the brand are focusing on make-up mainly, although I spotted some sheet masks recently, too. The design of her products is modern and trendy, so also for the Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour. The key color I associate with Pony Effect is rosegold. You will spot that her products either have a rosegold colored cap or the logo is imprinted in rosegold color.

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

The Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour has a matte liquid lipstick formula, which promises to dry into an opaque and matte finish without drying out the lips like other matte lipsticks. There are 10 different shades available, from which I chose 2. It turned out that I selected shades “Magnificent” and “Flawless”.

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

Magnificent is a nude/rose-colored shade whereas Flawless is a tomato red one. Ir was really hard to decide since I have so many red lipsticks already. But nevertheless, I had simply to take one red shade because it is the color I wear most often. The lipsticks come packed in cardboard boxes in black and rosegold color, very simple and neat and yet modern. The lipsticks themselves come in typical lip gloss bottles with rosegolden caps, You can see the color of your shade through the bottle.

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

The directions for using these liquid lipsticks is pretty easy, but since it is a matte product I can only advise you to exfoliate your lips. It will look so much better on smooth lips than on dry and chapped lips. Then apply one thin layer of the product.

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

The Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour have an included applicator attached to the cap, like most liquid lip products. The applicator has an angled brush, which works nicely for applying the product. If you do not want an opaque layer you can also just dab a few dots on your lips and blend it in quickly.

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

The liquid formula dries down after a few seconds to a matte finish and leaves really a good stain. Even after showering and washing my arms I could still see the marks of the swatches on my skin. Maybe it is not advised to use your fingers for blending in the products, but use a cotton swab instead. Mostly I was worried about two things: I didn’t want the same experience as I had with the Clio Lipnicure, which started to peel of in flakes after a while. Second, I was worried that the brighter color “Magnificent” would settle into the lines of lips, making it look ugly and strange. Non of my worries happened. The lipstick doesn’t peel of but fades nicely when eating a lot of fatty food. still the stain is visible for a long time. The bright color does not settle either into the lines but looks perfectly fine. Of course due to the shades “Magnificent” doesn’t leave such a strong stain as “Flawless” does, but for a nude lipstick the stain is still pretty great. Of course, since they have a matte formulation they won’t be as moisturizing as lip balms, but they are not drying as some other matte lipsticks either. Below you can see the two shades swatched and applied.

Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour

I do not regret buying these two Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colour shades. I love the colors, I love the finish and the texture and I love their performance. I can definitely say that these are great. Of course, since people tend to have different natural lip colors, the swatches may turn out slightly different on you, but still I heard that these shades worked great on most people who tried them before. I’m totally happy and I can give my thumbs up for these!

I bought mine from W2Beauty but you can check elsewhere to find it, too. Some stores were you can buy the Pony Effect Staying Matte Fit Lip Colours are:

W2Beauty for 24.26 US$

MeMeBox US for 18.50 US$

Review: Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base in green

22. September 2016

After reviewing the Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser by Lamy Cosmetics here is another review of a product from Lamy: Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base! Does that ring a bell to you? Yes, I reviewed this product before already, but this time I have another color to try – namely the green version!

Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base

Lamy Cosmetics is a Korean cosmetics company with 6 different cosmetics brands: Renoma, Geo, Sortie, Mennen, Catalina Geo, and Lafine. The previous time I received the Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base in white, and this time I will try the green version of this color correction makeup base. This make up base claims to be skin care and tone adjustment in one product!

Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base

If you read the old review of the Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base you see that they changed the packaging and the name. Now it looks much more mature and not that princess-y as before. Although I really liked the magical packaging of the old version, too. The cardboard box comes also with english descriptions. There are 5 different colors of the color correcting make up base available.

Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base

The green color of this Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base is targeting pimple marks and rednesses and neutralizes the red tones. Moreover, since it contains essence (hyaluronic acid) and UV filter (titanium dioxide), it also acts as moisturizer and gives some sun protection. The ingredients are short and can be checked via COSDNA. Unfortunately, there are quite a bunch of potential acne triggers and irritants included (parabens, mineral oil…).

Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base

The Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base itself comes in a see-through pump bottle. You can see the capsules through the bottle and you’ll know when the product comes to an end. When pumping the capsule bursts and can be mixed before applying the make up base on your face. The pump itself is very convenient to use.

Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base

Below you can see how the burst capsule looks like. Once it is mixed and blended in you will discover that it brightens up your skintone. It has a light scent, but it is not overpowering. The skin doesn’t feel dry or flaky after applying the base.

Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base

Despite the changed packaging and the different color I must say that the Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base is not what I’m looking for as a make up base. It is quite moisturizing and suited for dry skintypes, but it is too brightening for me. It also doesn’t suit the yellowish undertone of my skin. Maybe other skin tones will go better with this base. I also didn’t feel that it made my makeup stay any longer than usual. All in all, a good formulation, but too many doubtful ingredients and no obvious benefits for my makeup. The Catalina Geo Color Capsule Makeup Base retails from KMall24 for 42.75 US$ and the official retail price is at 47000 Won (- which occurs super expensive to me).

Review: Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser

21. September 2016

Here is the confession of a dry skin type person: I love foam cleansers! I know, foam cleansers usually tend to be more drying than gel cleansers or cleansing waters and I – as someone with dry skin – should be aware of it! Yet, I love the luscious and soft embrace of a good old foamy cleanser. Here is a review of my latest tested cleanser, the Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser.

Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser

Lafine is the first brand of Lamy Cosmetics, a Korean Cosmetics Company. Lamy Cosmetics is a Korean cosmetics company with 6 different brand. The brands are Renoma, Geo, Sortie, Mennen, Catalina Geo, and, the brand mentioned in this post, Lafine. I reviewed a couple of products from Lamy Cosmetics already, I even reviewed another cleanser by Lafine before, the Lafine Vegetable Deep Cleansing Cream. You can read my review >>here<< if you missed it.

Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser

Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser is part of the Lafine Vegetable line, which uses 5 vegetable ingredients for nourishing the skin: tomato, carrot, parsley, cucumber and water parsley. This is also displayed by the design of the cardboard box and the tube containing the foam cleanser. On the cardboard box you will also find the Korean and the English description of the product. The ingredients are also listed on COSDNA if you want to look them up. Although the product is 5 free (no animal oil, triclosan, paraben, benzophenon and talc), there are quite a lot of potential irritants and acne triggers stated in the list.

Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser

The vegetable ingredients are represented by tiny red and green granules in the product, which dissolve and release the nutrients (unfortunately, not visible in my swatch below). Tomato is known for its antioxidant effects. It contains vitamin C, B1, and B2 and have a high content in sugars (fructose/glucose). Cucumber is known for its detoxing properties because it contains mostly water. Apart from water cucumber also provides vitamin A and C. Carrots are also rich in anti-oxidants. Especially are they known for their vitamin A content and iron. Parsley is rich in fiber and brightens up the skin tone and water parsley contains vitamin C and minerals. Moreover the Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser contains Papaya Extract for a gentle exfoliation. The measured pH lies at 7 though, so it is not your ideal choice if you only use low pH cleansers. It builds a rich and soft foam though and cleans away nicely leftover makeup, resulting in a squeaky clean feeling of the skin. Here, I have to state, that it is quite drying on my skin after using it (as expected if you have squeaky clean skin).

Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser

Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser does a good job in really cleansing your face from oils. I have to state though, that it is quite stripping and makes the skin feel squeaky clean. If you enjoy cleanser like this (and have oily type skin) you should have a look into it. It has a pH of 7, so if you are looking for a more acid cleanser for using actives this is not your best choice. The Lafine Deep Vegetable Cleaning Cream has a pH of 5 though. The Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleanser is available from KMall24 for 12.73 US$ (additional shipping costs) or from amazon.com for 23.99 US$ (includes shipping) (also by KMall24).

Review: Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

20. September 2016

The same time I received the Elizavecca 3 Step Sheet Mask I was also offered the Dr. Lola Crème de Fer by BBCOSMETIC for reviewing purpose. Changing the apartment really makes reviewing things a hassle, but almost done with the main furniture and stuff…so here is my impression:

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

It was the first tine for me hearing about the brand Dr. Lola. I have no real information about the brand either except I saw a bunch of sheet masks that were sold by this brand. I was a bit confused first, too, because I thought the Dr. Lola Crème de Fer is a skin care product and then suddenly after using it for the first time it came to me that this cannot be skin care but a makeup primer :D Don’t ask me why I was confused but maybe it was the iron depicted on the packaging. I directly connected wrinkles and anti-wrinkle care to it.

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer comes in a pink box with some illustrations and ornaments. There is mainly Korean description but also some short English direction, which says to use a rice grain amount of the product and apply it on target areas.

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

The ingredients of the Dr. Lola Crème de Fer are also listed on the cardboard box:

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Silicate, Citric Acid,Acetyl-Hexapeptide-8, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethylaurate/VP Crosspolymer, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Phelodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, Scutellaria Balkalensis Root Extract, Polygonatum Odoratum Extract, Cl 77491, Cl77492,Adenosine, Fragnance

The ingredients can be checked via COSDNA. It is pretty short and I’m quite positively surprised. All of the ingredients are either green or yellow flagged, while the yellows are only for 2 ingredients (and one maybe).

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

The inside if the Dr. Lola Crème de Fer Box is also really beautiful. There is a semi-transparent sheet with short description in golden  print. Below you will find  the product that comes in a syringe type dispenser.

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

Below you will find that the product comes in a syringe type dispenser, and since it is designed to blur out your wrinkles and pores the syringe is the perfect dispenser for the small amount that you will need. Of course there is no needle though!

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

The balm-type primer has a beige/orange color and has to be blended in very thoroughly so the orange tint blends into you skin tone. It has a blurring effect on the skin and makes it appear more matte and smooth.

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

You can see the effect in the picture below aswell. Although in the same focus the lines appear more blurry, but do not disappear completely.

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer

Dr. Lola Crème de Fer does a good job in blurring out the finer lines of the skin. It is not my first choice for covering up enlarged pores or deeper lines though. I found the Innisfree No-Mineral Blur or the Benefit Porefessional Primer more effective.  Also I found that you needed to rub this primer more thoroughly than the others I mentioned, otherwise the orange stain is minimal visible – at least for my eyes! You will find some Dr. Lola products on BBCOSMETIC >>here<<, but I didn’t spot the Crème de Fer there, unfortunately. If you get to know we’re it is available let me know in the comments so I can add the information.

You can use the voucher Q2C8JX9N45R3O  in order to get 10 % discount on BBCOSMETIC.

Review: Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

13. September 2016

// AFFILIATE LINKS / CUSHION / KBEAUTY //

Another of those far too late posts, but since I adore the packaging I have to share with you: Here is my precious Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion! As a Disney lover it was really important to get my hands on this cushion- despite having maybe too many different cushions and cases already…I feel a bit ashamed, and yet I’m so proud to have this one in my collection! Here is my impression:

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Beyond is a Korean natural cosmetic brand and part of LG Household & Health Care. It is dedicated to sustainable beauty and had been against animal testing since its foundation. They have an official site which is available in Korean and English. The Beyond eco philosophy states:

‘Beyond believes that you are part of nature and can become more beautiful. The solution and wisdom of beauty lies in nature. With this belief, we respect “Eco Values” throughout the entire process of everything we do from ingredients, production, distribution and disposal. Our research into Eco Values, which we consider part of our know-how, enhances the value of true beauty.’

Their products have minimal chemical colors and fragrances, their packaging isrecyclable and has minimum waste. Their products are also free from parabens and dermatologically tested. I tried few products of this brand before, but I never disliked their products. They have a super cute selection of sheet masks, too, which I can really recommend.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion belongs to the second Beyond x Alice in Wonderland collaboration. I reviewed lip tints from the first collaboration called Alice in Glow >>here<<. I love the lip oil tints! They have a great scent and have a velvet nice and yet moisturizing feel on the lips! The design of the Alice in Blooming collection is even more dreamy and beautiful than the first edition and I knew from the beginning when I saw the advertorial pictures that I needed to get my hands on this cushion. And I did!

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion comes packed in a beautifully illustrated cardboard box in light pink and blue colors. The cardboard box also contains the key description of the product. The product is free of parabens and tar colorants, it is dermatologically tested, free of animal testing, and supports sustainable growth. The cushion has SPF 50+/PA+++.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Inside the cardboard box you will find the beautiful Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion, with a golden rim and the dreamy illustration from the cardboard box on the lid. Since this was a limited edition box it came with two refills even. I selected shade 02, the darker shade from the two available called “natural beige”.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Inside the Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion you will find a mirror and a puff, as with all cushions. Unlike most other puffs the band is broader and also  displays Alice illustrations.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

As with all cushions the product works like this: inside the cushion case is a capsule with a separate lid that contains a cushion soaked with foundation or bb cream. You have to press the puff on the cushion and the foundation will transfer to it. Now you can dab the puff on your face. It is important to dab and not to smear it because it will give you the most natural and light finish.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion has a semi-dewy, satin finish. It smells of roses when applied, but after doing your makeup the scent will fade and is not noticeable any longer. Also, there are small shimmery particles in the foundation that give your face a radiant look. Although I selected the darker shade of the two that were available it is still quite light and suited for lighter skintones. You see that it evens out the redness and makes the skin tone a bit lighter than my natural skin, but it still fits to my overall complexion. If you are tanned this shade will probably not work on you.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion lasts a couple of hours on my skin before it starts to get uneven on my nose and chin. Nevertheless, it makes my skin feel soft and satin-smooth for almost all day. I also love the rose scent and enjoy using the cushion in the morning mainly because of the scent. I was afraid about the shimmer particles first, but I came to the conclusion that it is barely visible after all, so I’m really happy and using this cushion frequently.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion is a must-have for Disney lovers of course or for people who love beautiful illustrations. I bought my cushion from W2Beauty but you can check elsewhere to find it, too. You will find the cushion on these sites:

W2Beauty for 25.23 US$

Amazon.com for 29.94 US$

testerkorea 32.300 Won (~29.90 US$)

Black Split Long Sleeve Crochet Shift Dress from SheIn

8. September 2016

// PR SAMPLE / FASHION / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Time flies and summer is turning into autumn…Actually, this post for this Black Split Long Sleeve Crochet Shift Dress was planned for the middle of summer as many of my posts were lately, but due to many incidents everything shifted. Nevertheless, I want to share this beautiful summertime beach outfit and on the same time a perfect dress for early autumn with you, brought to you by SheIn.

Black Split Long Sleeve Crochet Shift Dress from SheIn

SheIn, formerly known as Sheinside, is an online fashion retailer since 2008, providing affordable fashion targeting women. Apart from clothing like dresses, tops and bottoms, you will also find accessories, shoes and jewelry.

Black Split Long Sleeve Crochet Shift Dress from SheIn

I love clothes like this: easy to wear, crochet motifs and cute details. The material of the Black Split Long Sleeve Crochet Shift Dress is quite thin and made from polyester, but still it’s airy. The dress has two layers, an undergrads and the ornamented layer above. ₩The underdress is a bit too short for my liking and so I wear something shorts below. The ornamented crochet layer falls loosely in A-line shape.

Black Split Long Sleeve Crochet Shift Dress from SheIn

I’ve been wearing this dress quite a lot already and I really like the style of it, with the almost separated sleeves and the free shoulders. How do you like it?

Where to buy?
