Review: Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel

16. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / SKINCARE / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Summer is coming closer these days and with warmer weather the skin has needs of a modified skincare. My skin tends to be very dry in cold winters, but in summer, when the temperature is rising, my skin turns to more normal and sometimes even shows tendencies to combination skin, with a shiny T-Zone. I put aside my super-duper moisturizing butters and creams and bought Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel to replace my daily moisturizer and it works great. ♥

There are plenty of different aloe soothing gels on the market these day, so why did I choose the one from Etude House, instead of one of the big jars which are provided by Nature Republic or by Mizon? The answer is simple: I was looking for a aloe gel which comes in a pump bottle, because this is the most conventient type of packaging and it is more hygienic too.

Etude House’s Aloe Soothing Gel is part of the Aloe Moistfull Collection. A cream, toner, emulsion etc. for the same line are also available and the signiture color of the line is this pale turquoise you see here, which is a beautiful color in my eyes, especially for skincare products somehow turquoise makes me feel perfectly cared of XD The marketing techniques work out, it seems :D The description on the paper cardbox are in Korean and in English. The main ingredients are aloe extract and other plant extracts. According to COSDNA there is no ingredient on the list with a red flag. (^_^)  ♥
As I said, the aloe soothing gel comes in a little pump bottle. There are two sizes available: one large bottle with 300 ml and a smaller bottle, which I purchased,  with 150 ml. The smaller one has a more travel friendly size. I chose the smaller bottle because I wanted to test the soothing gel in general before going for a larger bottle.
For making the pump work you have to untwist it after you unpacked from the box first. As soon as it is untwisted (visible because the neck of the pump gets longer (see the image below) you can push the pump in order to use the aloe gel. The first time use 2-3 pumps are needed for the first product to come out of the pump, but afterwards in general one pump is enough to cover my whole face with the aloe gel.
As expected, it is a clear gel type product, which is cooling and feels moist and hydrating. It needs a couple of minutes to absorb, but it leaves your skin refreshed and supple. You can also use the aloe gel on your body. I especially love to use it all over my skin directly after taking a shower. The scent is refreshing and pleasant and the effect is really nice. ♥
As I said, I use this gel mostly in the morning as replacement for my day cream. When I feel my skin to need more deeper moisture, for example at night, I just put a few drops of Argan Oil before using this. It works really nice. I always wait until it is absorbed fully (mostly by patting my skin) before I continue to use a priming cream or bb/cc cream or makeup.
If you are looking for a conventient to use aloe soothing gel, or if you want to switch to a lighter day cream I can recommend you to try this product. It is more hygienic than the aloe gels which come in a jar. Also, 150 ml which I bought seems to last forever already, so I can imagin that the jars will even last longer, but if you don’t use it extremly often, the product might get expired. On the other hand, aloe gel has a variaty of use. You can sooth sunburnt skin with it, take a tiny amount in order to ease frizzy hair or use it as a pampering mask…a lot of options. In the end you’ve to choose which form of packaging you like best :)  Aloe Soothing Gel in general is worth a try!
I bought my 150 ml bottle at W2Beauty for 13.93 US$. The large bottle (300 ml) costs 18.11 US$).

Review: Etude House Rosy Tint Lips Baby Peony

15. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

One of the highlights of last autumn’s collection from Etude House were the Rosy Tint Lips. Back then I reviewed one of those tints. Today I’ll show you another one of Etude House’s Rosy Tint Lips called Baby Peony (No.5) and I will show you a comparative swatch between this and the previous one called Rose Petal (No.3). The “& Rose” collection was inspired by the fairytale “The Sleeping Beauty” and 8 different shades are available for this collection.

I really love the packaging and I was attracted to buy this in first place because of the beautiful rose pattern on the paper card box. The packaging is very girly and fairytale-ish and contains descriptions of the product in English and Korean.
The applicator for the Rosy Tint Lips consists of a cushion as tip for blending out the lip tint. The lip tint itself has a solid form and due to the body of the lip tint which is made from hard plastic, it is difficult to squeeze out the product. This was my concern with the previous shade and this one isn’t any different. Nevertheless, the consistency, the pigmentation and the staying power are satisfying.
Baby Peony is a light pink shade which shows up even on more pigmented lips like mine. I have often a problem with brighter shades to be visible, especially orange shades are not working, but here you can clearly see the color. But unfortunately, since it is a light color, you have to scrub your lips before, or the color will stick to the flakes of the lips.
Below you can see Baby Peony and Rose Petal together. As you can see, the plastic body of the tints represents the color inside the tube. Check out my review for the Rose Petal Tint >>here<<.
Although Rose Petal is a red shade when applied fully, it looks similar to Baby Peony when blended out. Both are nice colors though and I think that they can be also combined for gradient lips.

The sponge applicator is also something I have mixed feelings about, as I mentioned in my previous post. It can be unhygienic, but the sponge cap can be taken off and cleaned. It makes it easy to create gradient and soft effects with help of sponge applicators like this. If you don’t want a gradient effect, but clear lines, the applicator will probably mess around the borders of your lips. In this case I’d recommend you to use a lip brush.
The scent of the Rosy Lip Tints is nice. It has a soft scent of roses, so if you are not a fan of rose scented products, don’t buy this :D The staying power is okay, as long as you don’t drink or eat. I’ve definitively seen worse lip tints. Btw., the Rosy Tint Lips can be used as blush, too, which works nicely :)
All in all the main issue I have with the Rosy Tint Lips is the tube. The hard plastic makes it inconvenient for application. Other then this I love the product itself. It is a solid and good working lip product with every day usage potential.

You can buy the Etude House Rosy Lip Tints at:

W2Beauty for US$ 12.55 (free shipping option. You’ll get a 5$ voucher upon registration with the code 088505 , which is usable for orders of minimum 30$)

Review: Secret Key Snow White Cream

13. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / AFFILIATE LINKS / SKINCARE //

My previously reviewed MeMeBox was really a lucky one! It contained a bunch of really nice products which I integrated into my skincare routine and they work out great for me. You can check out the unboxing of the MeMeBox >>here<<. The item I was especially curious and happy about was Secret Key’s Snow White Cream. I wanted to try it for over a year but I never got the chance to buy it, and like someone heard my wish it was featured in a beauty box. *(^_^)/* Happy me!
Secret Key’s Snow White Cream is a Niacinamide containing cream for brightening the skin. It has properties of a face primer and works great in combination with your favorite BB/CC cream. Snow White is one of my favorite fairytales and in my opinion, the packaging Secret Key created for this product line is the perfect hit. The main color used for designing this package is white and black for the lettering and the elegant fairytale-ish ornaments.
Even the paper card box looks elegant. It contains the in-deep description and probably the ingredients, too, in Korean only, but on one side of the box, you can find an English description, written in ornamental lettering as if it was taken from a fairytale’s book.
The jar is made of plastic and contains an extra plastic separator between the lid and the cream. Since the plastic jar doesn’t feel really sturdy and the lid is probably not perfectly closeable, I would recommend you to not throw the plastic separator away. Since the cream contains Niacinamide it is important to close the cream as tightly as possible and the lid gives at least some additional protection. The paper card box also contains a clear colored plastic spatula, so you don’t have to use your fingers and keep contamination low.
As you can see, the cream itself has a solid white and creamy texture. It looks and smells like Nivea hand cream at first, but as soon as you feel it on your skin you’ll notice the difference because it kind of emulsifies on your skin and feels soft and melts easily. I really do love the scent, but if you don’t like intensive scents, I would not recommend you to buy it- or if you are unsure, buy some samples beforehand. Because of its melting properties it blends in nicely with the skin and leaves the skin slightly brightened and definitively more radiant. For oily skin, it might be also enough moisture, but I normally use some moisturizer before, especially when my skin feels tight and dry (In the image below I didn’t use any moisturizer).
It makes your skin look a bit more even and appear softer, but it doesn’t cover your redness completely. It didn’t give me any breakouts after using it for quite a time now, and I think my skin tone has improved and looks evener. Don’t expect this cream to change your skin color and make you look like Snow White, but the Niacinamide will help to even out your darker spots with the time. If you expect a magic product which turns you beautiful overnight, I would not recommend this to you, but if you look for a nice, priming cream below your BB/CC cream I can recommend this to you. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the complete ingredients list, but since it didn’t give me any problems yet, I guess that there are not many irritants included.
Another important point: If you use vitamin C containing products keep in mind to don’t use Niacinamide containing products together with the vitamin C containing products. I’m using this cream in the morning and use my O.S.T Pure Vitamin C Serum at night. If you want to use both products for the same time, you should at least wait 20 minutes/half an hour before applying the other products, so your skin has time to absorb. If you use Niacinamide and vitamin C together vitamin C will start oxidizing.
All in all, I really like this cream. It is no cream which fulfills wonders and makes you wake up as beautiful Snow White Princess. but it contains Niacinamide, it makes your skin look primed and prepped even without BB/CC cream (if you don’t have a lot of breakouts, you can use this cream even on its own and don’t need any other makeup). The application of the cream feels soft and nice on the skin and the scent is really nice, too. Nevertheless, if you have dry skin it won’t replace your daily moisturizer. I also would have wished for a vacuum pump bottle instead of the plastic jar, because it would preserve the Niacinamide longer.
As I already said, I received the Secret Key Snow white Cream with my previous MeMeBox. If you want to try a Korean beauty box I would say that MeMeBox is one of the best subscription boxes so far. The value is always great and the products are mainly Korean, too. They have also lots of differently themed boxes and you don’t have to subscribe for it monthly, but you can choose yourself which and when you want to get a box.
As for the Secret Key Snow White Cream, it is available from the following shops:
Amazon.com for 19.05 US$
Testerkorea for ~7 US$

Review: Dueba Crystal.i Grey Circle Lenses

9. May 2014

It’s been a long time since my last circle lens review, but today I’ll show you another pair of lenses, Dueba Crystal.i Grey, which were send to be by Lensvillage. If you’d like to read about my opinion on these lenses please feel free to continue reading :D Also, I finally managed to sign up for a proper Email subscription list. I’d be happy if you’d join it :) You can find the link on the right side of my blog.

The lenses came in a cute vial with a comic drawing on it. I received a cute animal lens case together with these lenses. This time I received a grey hippo lens case, which I don’t had until know ^_^ Yeiii!

These lenses are also available in other colors like blue, green, brown, pink and violet. Here are the properties for the lenses:

Diameter : 14.2 mm
Water Content : 38%
Base Curve : 8.6 mm
Life Span : 1 Year Disposal

Design:
The design is very simply and only consists of black and grey dots. It is nothing special, but looks nice with dark eyes, although I’d wish that it blended in more towards the inner part.

Comfort:
These lenses were a bit uncomfortable, because after one hour I discovered that my eyes feel dried. But when using eye drops you can extend the wearing time.

Enlargement:
Enlargement is clearly visible, but it doesn’t look unnatural. All in all this is in my eyes the perfect size for my eyes, making them pop out but not looking like an alien on the same time.

Shipping:
I received my lenses with standard shipping and it arrived after 3-4 weeks. This is not the fastest shipping I experienced with standard shipping, but neither the slowest. The lenses were packed securely in bubble wrap plastic and they came with a cute animal shape lens case.

Despite that these lenses were a bit uncomfortable I could wear them on my work. The design is simple, but it shows a nice enlargement of the eyes. I personally prefer more comfy lenses, but these are not that bad as you can see from my total rating below.

You can buy these lenses at Lensvillage for US$ 19.50. Check out the facebook page, too: https://www.facebook.com/lensvillage

Just as a short reminder: All products mentioned and reviewed on this blog are of my personal opinions. This product here was sent to me for reviewing purpose by www.lensvillage.com, which doesn’t influence me in providing my honest opinion on the products.

Review: Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof Eyeliner No. 07

6. May 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKe UP / AFFILIATe LINKS //

Today’s review is about Holika Holika Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner No.07. With Etude House’s Play 101 pencil liners coming up now it may be interesting to have another set of good pencil liners in the back of your head, especially if you like pencil liners with glitter particles. I received this one in the Lunar New Year Giveaway by Tiffany, Misa and Maryangela (check out their blogs by clicking on their names!:D). Thanks again to all three of them for the nice products!♥

There are 16 shades available in total and each of them does contain shimmer/glitter. The pencils have a simple design, each of them in the color of the eyeliner, so you can grab easily your desired color. The pencils are made of soft plastic, which can be sharpened easily. The eyeliners don’t contain a sharpener themselves, but any usual sharpener works.

The eyeliner I received has a white shimmering color which is nice for highlightening. It is supposed to be smudge proof, waterproof and long lasting and it fulfills all these criteria as you can see in the image below. Only with rubbing and warm water together it starts to give in.
The ingredients don’t contain anything harmful, even hydrogenated castor oil, which may cause acne, is nothing to worry about, since you don’t use this product on your whole face (hopefully :D – it won’t look pretty).

Cyclomethicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Mica, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Polyethylene, Ceresin, Titanium Dioxide(Ci 77892), Silica, C12-15 Alkyl Ethylhexanoate, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil

All in all there is nothing negative to say about this pencil eyeliner. It applies smoothly, it is pigmented and it is smudge- and waterproof. Even the price is good ;)

You can get these at:
Twofacemall for US$ 8.05 ( free shipping option)

W2Beauty from US$ 7.52 onwards (free shipping option. You’ll get a 5$ voucher upon registration with this link, which is usable for orders of minimum 30$)

Testerkorea from 4900 Won onwards (around 5 US$) (shipping depends on weight)

Review: Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream

29. April 2014
I’m back with a BB cream review ^_^ Yeeiii! This time it is about Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream, which was kindly send to me for reviewing purpose by Wishtrend. This BB cream is a all-in-one product, combining sunscreen, primer, foundation, and finishing powder…Sounds amazing! Moreover, the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream allows to create a very natural look, and yet gives a good coverage. Let’s see what my thought are on this product:

The Korean brand Klairs is an eco-friendly cosmetic brand. Their products are not tested on animals, don’t contain parabens, alcohol or artificial coloring. All their products have a simple, but vintage kind of design which I personally love. The Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream comes therefore in a sleek tube. The colors are restricted to black and cream-colored. I especially love the words written below the product’s name saying “You look so wonderful just the way you are”. Who doesn’t want to start the day reading these words in front of the mirror while still halfway asleep?!:D
It has SPF 40 PA++ by using ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate, titanium dioxide, Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and zinc oxide within the ingredients, which makes it great for daily use. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe extracts for providing moisture. According to COSDNA the ingredients are not harmful (click >>here<<). One preservative (Methylisothiazolinone) is mentioned to potentially cause allergic reactions, which wasn’t the case while I used the product. The ingredients list and descripton are written on the cardboardbox in Korean and English as well.
  Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream
The 40 ml soft plastic tube has a plastic cap which is easily to unlock and lock again. The application is not complicated in any ways. Although, sometimes I prefer a pump instead of a normal tube. Nevertheless, the cream is neither to fluid, nor to solid, which makes it easy to get out the perfect amount of BB cream needed for your face. I’ve been using this BB cream for a long time now and I’m pleased to say, that I didn’t react to it in any negative way.
The description says that this BB cream is suitable for all skin types, so I did the simple  “BBcream on blotting paper” test in order to see how oily the product is. I don’t think that this test is representative on how good it will work on your skin, but it could give you an idea, if you do the same test of your favourite BB cream and compare the oily circle around the BB cream droplet. As you can see, it definitively shows up some oiliness around, but I’ve seen worse BB creams after 4 hours. This one is still “okay” in my eyes, so it might also be suited for oily skintypes. According to the description the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream contains sebum controll powder, which will help to keep the facial oil production at bay.
How does the BB cream perform on skin finally? As I said, I’ve tried this BB cream for a while now and I love the finish. Below you can see the cream on my hand. On the bottom right side of the image you see how it looks blended in. I would say that it blends in perfectly! Yet, it does give the skin some kind of illumination. The color looks very natural and the BB cream doesn’t look like being a heavy or thick layer.

It looks super natural on my skin and blends in perfectly with my natural skin color. It doesn’t have high coverage, but it gives your skin an airbrushed look. It reduces the appearance of redness (take a closer look at the skin around my nose and cheek. The differences might be small/not visible when you just take a quick look from afar, but I can ensure you that my skin looks perfect to go outside while only using this. It also has a semipowdery finish, doesn’t feel sticky and leaves the skin soft and smooth. It doesn’t make my (dry) skin look greasy at all, although it has a subtle glow…also, it did not flake around my nose the whole day, which I experience very rarely.
So far the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream is my BB cream to go! It contains sunprotection, perfect for daily wear, gives you a natural look with an airbrushed effect and simply looks very nice on the skin. I can recommend you to try this product! I think it will convince you. If you are looking for coverage as main point, I wouldn’t go for this BB cream, though! Nevertheless, when paired up with the new Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer it might be also a nice daily BB cream for people with more troubled skin, looking for a light finish. You can get Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream from Wishtrend. If you use my invitation code 17939205 upon registration or use my invitation link >>here<< you’ll receive a 5 US$ voucher immediately. It retails normally at 24.99 US$  on Wishtrend and contains 40 ml. And you’ll find a more detailed product description on their web page, too.

Review: Etude House Play Color Nails

26. April 2014

// KBEAUTY / NAILS / AFFILIATe LINKS //

It’s been a while since Etude House released their Play Nail Polishes. They introduced so many different colors and styles, that is was quite difficult to decide which ones to pick. I chose two nail polishes at that time, them I received two other ones in a giveaway, so I decided to make a collective post for all four nail polishes at once.

The shades I’ll show you today are No. 55, 118, 132 and 52 from left to right. Each of them represent a different type/style of nail polish.
On the label of the cap you’ll find the numbers and a letter code. The letter code represents the type of nail polish, meaning M for matte, P for paint, SG for Syrup and Glitter and PS for Paint and Syrup. (That’s at least what I could conclude. Feel free to comment if it is not correct :D).
The design of the tiny bottles is cute and they have a perfect shape to be stored and collected. They beautified the bottles with a lace art ribbon on the upper rim. I personally loved the old shape of the nail polish bottles from Etude House more :D They were more princess-y *_*…
All in all the quality is quite descent for the price. But you need two layers of polish to receive a nice coverage. Another downside is, that they need quite a time to dry, especially if you use two coats of polish. Other than these points, these nail polishes are really nice. Etude House offers us a huge variance of different colors and styles and probably you’ll find every thing you’ll need. Unfortunately, the matte nail polishes were limited, but I hope that they will return for autumn :D…
No. 55
No. 118
No. 131
No. 52
Which one is your favourite? Did you try any of Etude House’s Play nail polishes?

You can get these nail polishes almost in every online store which is selling Etude House products, for example:

Twofacemall for US$ 5.13 ( free shipping option) – They are currently on sale, normally they cost 18.28 US$

W2Beauty from US$ 4.64 onwards (free shipping option. You’ll get a 5$ voucher upon registration with this link, which is usable for orders of minimum 30$)

Testerkorea from 2000 Won onwards (around 2 US$) (shipping depends on weight)

Review: O’SUM Aloe Vera Soothing Mist

24. April 2014
Slowly the temperatures are getting warmer here in Germany and I’m really looking forward for summer these days. I also discovered that my skin is not as super dry as it is during cold winters anymore, but it slowly regenerates to be dry to normal skin. Time to get a little change in my skincare routine. First of all, I love using products containing Aloe Vera during the warmer seasons. I was overly happy when I received my first MeMeBox (review >>here<<) which contained O’SUM’s Aloe Vera Soothing Mist and it is now part of my skincare routine.
O'SUM Aloe Vera Soothing Mist

This is the first product I tried from O’SUM, an “organic skin care line based in the Jeju Islands” as it is written on the product. This travel friendly Aloe Vera Soothing mist comes in a green colored see-through plastic bottle with a spraying nozzle. The packaging is plain and sticks to a green color scheme, which fits to the image of being a natural/organic product. Other than that the design is simply clean and doesn’t have anything special about it (I personally do not mind a simple design, as long as it does not look cheap, and this is definitively not the case).
O'SUM Aloe Vera Soothing Mist
The fact that it is a mist makes it easy to apply. Furthermore the mist is super fine (a lot finer than the mist by Recipe by Nature Spray Essence >>review here<<). It has a cooling and thus refreshing feeling while applying. And it absorbs quickly into the skin without being sticky. The scent is typical for Aloe Vera products, but not too intense either. The ingredients list is short and the only potential irritant is Benzyl alcohol. My skin didn’t get any irritated since I’m using it. Here are the ingredients:
Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Inositol, Propanediol, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Decyl Glucoside, Limonene, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate
O'SUM Aloe Vera Soothing Mist
The description of the packaging is mainly in Korean. The front side has a brief English description though, which is better than nothing.
I integrated it into my beauty routine as a replacement for a toner and it works out nicely. You can also use it for refreshing yourself during the day and it is also usable on makeup and works as makeup fixer, too. Honestly speaking, I have nothing negative to say, except of, that you have to order in online in most countries. But don’t fear if you missed the MeMeBox and are longing to try this: You can also get it from Wishtrend. If you use my invitation cod17939205 upon registration or use my invitation link >>here<< you’ll receive a 5 US$ voucher immediately. The O’SUM Aloe Vera Soothing Mist costs 17.50 US$ on Wishtrend and contains 80 ml, which really go a long way. And you’ll find a more detailled product description etc. on their web page.

beauty empties

Graveyard: January to March 2014

24. April 2014
As you can see I’m a bit late for this post, but I thought I’ll put it up anyway, since I already edited the image for it :) Here are my empties for January, Febuary and March…(I also used a bunch of samples and sheet masks which I didn’t keep).

1. TheBodyShop Strawberry Body Polish- Repurchase?Yes!
I love this showering gel with the tiny strawberry particles. It smells divine and it foams up nicely too. Plus, you have these strawberry grains for a soft peeling effect. This is the second time I bought it and there will be a time when I will repurchase this again.

2. Nivea Supreme Touch Cream Shower- Repurchase? Maybe.
I love the scent of Nivea products. This one is no exception. Other than this it is a regular showering product. I like it, I would rebuy it, but I prefer testing other shower creams/gels.
3. Lush Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion- Repurchase? Yes!
I was in love with the scent while using it and I really liked the feeling it left behind on my skin. I think I used this jar within a week and I would definitively rebuy it (but it is quite expensive compared to other body lotions…;_;).
4. Skin79 Super BB and Super Gold BB creams – Repurchase? Maybe.
These are both nice BB creams and if I would not have so many other BB creams and if the market would not keep up making new versions, I would rebuy those because they do a quite nice job- not perfect, but nice. I reviewed these in the past (>>here<<).
5. The Face Shop Mango Seed Line – Repurchase? Yes!
I really loved using these products from the MangoSeed line. If you are interested read my review >>here<<. I want to repurchase these for winter, when my skin is in need of a lot of moisture.
6. Great Length Daily Moisture Shampoo – Repurchase? No.
This Shampoo did not overwhelm me. It was not even giving me the feeling of having more moisturized hair, so I wouldn’t repurchase it.
7. Laneige Water Sleeping Pack – Repurchase? Yes.
I loved the scent, I loved the effect and there is nothing more to say. See my old review on it >>here<<.
8. Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream – Repurchase? Yes.
This is my last hoarded tube of Missha’s Perfect cover BB ;_;. I love this cream, it works super well with me, it did improve my skin so much during the first year I used it. I would always repurchase this BB cream…but I have o get rid of all the other BB creams I hoarded first ;_;  See my old review >>here<<.
Did you try any of these?
I’ll try to do the next empty post earlier than after 3 months :D Hope I can keep up to my words now :D

beauty beauty boxes

Unboxing: Get it Beauty Box by MeMeBox No. 8

23. April 2014
Here is the second Get it Beauty Box I ordered from MeMeBox. This time it is box No. 8. :)

What is MeMeBox? It is a monthly beauty box for mostly Korean makeup and skincare products. Unlike most beauty boxes it is not a monthly subscription box, instead you can order all boxes which are available and you want to order. They sell out quite fast, especially since they gained a lot of popularity in the blogger community. They stopped shipping internationally for some weeks, but know they are shipping to a lot of countries again, including Germany, which made me really happy :)
And here you can see what I received in my MeMeBox:
Flower Men Energy Factory Moist Boosting Sheet Mask- Hyaloronic Acid (25 g / US$ 4) – box contained fullsize product
This funny sheet mask comes in a fun packaging showing PSY’s face. You can use this as a real mask, too…for example if you want to give your friend’s a heart attack jumping out of nowhere while wearing this mask. I already tried it and it is a nicely moisturizing mask. Nothing exceptional, but nice if you love using sheet masks.
Hairich Vedacell Hair Program Shampoo (340 ml / US$ 23) – box contained product with 100 ml
This shampoo is free from sulfates, silicon and synthetic dyes and made with natural preservatives. I didn’t try this one yet, but I’m looking forward to do so, because I love testing new shampoos.
Tonymoly BCDation SPF 30 PA++ – Pink Beige (50 g / US$ 27) – box contained a 7 ml tube and a 1 ml pouch sample
I was really happy about this, because I saw it the other day online and I wanted to try it. This is a BB+CC foundation and could be thus a time saver for those using both CC creams and BB creams. I tried it already and a review will follow.
Heart Face Ultra Pore Care Sleeping Pack (100 ml / US$49) – box contained 20 ml jar
this Sleeping cream is supposed to moisturize your skin, minimize pores and control sebum production. I used it once and although I thought that it might be drying because of the pore care effect my skin felt smooth the next day. I will continue using it and write a detailed review on this.

Secret Key Snow White Cream (50 g / US$ 21) – box contained fullsize product
I wanted to try this cream for a year now and here it is. I’m so happy about it. this is a brightening cream, which is free from mineral oils, benzophenones, phenoxyethanbol and artificial pigments. It contains Niacinamide. I used it daily since I received it and I like it. There will be a review soon, too.
MAX Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Form Cleanser (110 g / US$ 73) – box contained fullsize product
So, just by chance my foam cleanser was empty and this one arrived to replace it. It is already integrated in my nightly routine. It is made from caviar oil and is supposed to clean your face from make-up and dirt.

I’m happy with this box. I use both the fullsize product daily and I’ve used the other products as well (except of the shampoo) and I’m absolutely happy. I ordered some more boxes and I cannot wait for them to arrive.

These regular boxes cost US$ 23 and US$ 6.99 for standard shipping but they offer a lot of different other boxes recently, so I would recommend you to definitively check out their web page: www.memebox.com/

What do you think about the box? Any product you like most?
