Review: Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly

24. October 2014

// PR SAMPLE / JBEAUTY / SKINCARE //

Just a warning ahead: This is a rave review because I love this product so so so much! Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly might not be widely known among most of you, but I figured out that this is one of the nicest peeling gels I have tried so far, so maybe it is time for you to get to know it.

Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly

Meishoku is a Japanese brand and what amazed me most is that their company homepage has an English version as well…Normally, even for more widely known Asian brands it is difficult to get some information in English, so I’m really happy they do have one. Their page contains detailed description to their products and is easy to navigate, too. Most of their products are focussing on skincare, but they also offer some make-up products. The DET Clear Line focuses on AHA/BHA peeling products. This line consists of four different types of peeling jelly, like the one I’m reviewing here today, a fruit enzyme powder wash and a peeling soap. I’m reviewing the Detclear Bright & Peel Peeling Jelly with Mixed Berry Fragrance. The other three peeling jellies have all different fragrances, like Rose and Jasmine, Mixed Fruit Fragrance and a Fragrance-Free version. So it seems that they also thought of people who don’t like fragranced products, which is great.

Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly

So we have here a chemical peeling jelly working with fruit-derived AHAs and plant-derived BHAs for getting rid of old cells on the surface of your skin. Since it is a peeling, you should use it 2-3 times per week, but not necessarily daily, although it is really a mild way of peeling compared to scrubs for example.  So what do the AHAs and BHAs do? They exfoliate old keratin off your skin, which becomes smoother this way. This has the effect of a brightened up dull complexion, too. Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly also helps to free blocked pores and to help dry and flaky skin to get smooth again. The ingredients are unfortunately written in Japanese and also there is no list on their product page, but I figured out that most of the ingredients are plant and fruit extracts. As for the Fragrance-Free Version, it even says, that it is without artificial color, alcohol-free, paraben-free, mineral-oil free, and surfactant-free. In order to use the Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly, you have to clean your skin first, dry it up some, but don’t worry if your skin is still damp. You can use either dry or wet hands, too. I used in under the shower, too, and it still works. The product comes in a plastic pump dispenser, so you can easily get your 2-4 pumps, as needed, and distribute it on your face and neck. Massage the skin with your hands and soon you will see how the product forms peeling crumps. These are not your dead skin cells…neither here for this product, nor for any similar working product!

Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly

The pump packaging of the Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly is really convenient and the design of it looks nice, although it is not super special. It also comes with a clip for the pump, so you can take it somewhere in your bag if needed and can be sure that it won’t be pumped out. The bottle contains 180 ml and lasts quite a long time if you don’t use it daily. The texture of the product is like it supposed to be as a jelly: It is not a super solid kind of jelly, but a runnier type of product. The scent of this version of the Peeling Jelly is fruity, but not too intense. I, for my part,  like it :) After rinsing the crumbs off, the skin feels clean and soft. Indeed the appearance of my skin is less dull. But all these points cannot be captured by pictures in a review. But what I can tell you and what was the most surprising thing about it is that my makeup lasted longer. Normally, when I apply BB cream in the morning, I start to see it flaking after lunch on my chin and around my nose. When I’m using the Meishoku Detclear Peeling Jelly I don’t have any of this issue and I can wear the BB cream all day long without worrying. The reason for this is the removal of dead and dry skin cells, which normally make it difficult to create an even surface. I love this Peeling Jelly now so much and I can recommend you to try it. There are other known (and more expansive) peeling jellies out there, but I can tell you that this one is also worth a try. ♥ I received my new HG bottle of Pelling Jelly from lunaTu. This UK-based shop for Japanese and Korean products sells this product for 15 £. Check out their shop, especially if you live in Europe. This will be a great chance to receive your loved Asian beauty products faster than usually. I also received the Shiseido Integrate Eyeshadow Palette from them, which I reviewed earlier. You can also get Meishoku products from Amazon.com.

Review: Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher

14. October 2014

I was planning to write this post later, but I’m so in love with this blush that I have to share my thoughts about it with you: I’m talking about the Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher! This blush is from Skinfood’s spring collection from this year and considering the point that new products appear out of nowhere every month this might already be considered old and not up-to-date, but nevertheless this is my new everyday blush since I received this from KollectionK one week ago ♥

Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher

Skinfood is one of these brands which are competing with Etude House in terms of design – in my opinion at least. It is a Korean brand with vintage appearing design of their products which occupied my heart very quickly. The products are using the beneficial effects of ingredients, which are familiar to us in terms of “food” like vegetables and fruits. Their motto “Food that is good for your health, is also good for your skin.” reflects this brands’ ideology nicely. Their spring make-up collection of 2014 was called “Milky Rose” and the design of the products offered within this collection is beautifully selected, showing vintage-style rose drawings and pastell pink packaging. The design is really beautifully chosen and fits perfect for a spring collection. Apart from the Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher liptints, nailpolish, make-up remover and a make-up fixer were offered.

Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher

The Rose Essence Soft cream Blusher is available in 6 different shades. I picked No.6 called “Edge Rose”. According to the promotional pictures it is probably the boldest color of the 6 shades. Let’s look at our beauty again from the top and the back:

Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher

The back side contains a short description and the number of the shade. It also has the production date printed on it. If you open up the lid you’ll find that the complete backside of the lid contains a large mirror, which is very convenient. The material of the container is made of sturdy plastic and although the color of the plastic is a light pink it doesn’t appear like cheap quality. The lid closes properly, too, and will not easily flip open, so it is safe to carry in the handbag. The first thing you’ll notice when opening the container is the scent: it is AMAZING! It smells of roses and you know that I’m a lover for rose scent. If you hate scents, you’ll not like the product, if you love the scent of roses get yourself one of these quickly! I’m so in love with the scent that I sometimes only open up the container of the blush to smell the scent XD …okay, that’s a bit weird, but anyways….

Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher

The blush itself is a cream blush, so it has a soft and creamy texture which is easily to apply with only using the fingers (this might be considered as  not hygienic for some of you and is the only negative aspect of this blush that I could find after all). I don’t have any problem applying it with my fingers. By the way, for those of you that are afraid of putting bacteria on your face when using your fingers I found a super interesting product on Wishtrend called “OMG Spray it” from Chica y Chico which allows you to sanitize your products frequently (if you consider to buy it you have to check out the Promotional Wishtrend codes for October, because you can receive a free Klairs Be Clean Soap!!). Back to the Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher: the pigmentation is great, it is buildable but also blendable super easily, too, so you can choose by yourself if you want pigmented cheeks or only a light color. Also, the creamy texture turns into a matte one when blended in. It looks very natural and lasts all day. So, as you see this is a super quality blush and I’m really thinking to get all the different shades, because it is so georgeous. You can get this at KollectionK for 11.08 US$.

Review: Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

13. October 2014

As you know, I’m not only a lover of Korean beauty products, but also of Japanese ones. I have the feeling that reviews on Japanese beauty products are rarer in the beauty blogger community, maybe because it is harder to obtain them. I received some more Japanese products lately from a shop called LunaTu, a new online boutique providing genuine Korean and Japanese cosmetics and based in UK – which means fast shipping within Europe! One of the items I received from them is the Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes, a small three colored eyeshadow palette, available in different colors.

Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

Shiseido is one of the most famous high end brands in the world. I think everybody knows the brand in some way. In Japan, Shiseido has a lot of sub branches. One of these sub branches is Shiseido Integrate. The Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes palette is available in five different colors. Moreover two limited edition color ranges were available. The eyeshadow palette I’ll show here is BR 314, a milkcoffee brown shaded set of three colors. The palette comes in a outer clear plastic packaging, like most of Japanese products. The packaging contains the description of the product, but it is written in Japanese only. The backside description also shows a picture of how to apply the three colors together on your eyelid. This is helpful for beginners, so they know how to combine the three colors.

Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

The palette itself is really beautiful and designed in such a cute way: The lid has a golden color with a clear plastic window showing the eyeshadows. The lid is decorated by the words “Let your sweet eyes do the talking”. The material is sturdy plastic.

Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

The three eyeshadow colors of the palette have different forms. The eyeshadow placed in the middle is shaped like a heart, whereas the left eyeshadow has the shape of a clover and the right eyeshadow is supposed to be a rose (or a whirly thingy XD). If you open the lid you see that the palette comes with an applicator with two sides. The backside of the lid contains a small mirror, so you can apply the eyeshadow “on-the-go” ;)

Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

The three eyeshadows all have shimmery particles, but the two lighter shades have more shimmer particles than the dark brown shade. Below you see a quick swatch on my fingertips. The eyeshadows have a smooth consistency and are easy to apply and to blend in.

Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

The colors of this eyeshadow palette are light and very natural. You cannot create a bold look with these because the pigmentation is not too strong- probably it is also not designed top be strong to keep a natural look. Using primer before you can make the colors appear more vivid, but still natural. I chose this palette because of the color. I have palettes with golden brwon shades, but nothing in this milkcoffee brown range. It looks really discrete and although the eyeshadows contain shimmer it doesn’t look girly or overdone. Below you see the swatches on my arm with and without primer and how it looks applied on my eyelids. It is suitable for everyday look in my eyes.

Shiseido Integrate Suite Trick Eyes

I also tried to rubb the eyeshadows away and it was easier for the lighter colors, especially without primer. But the dark brown color has a good staying power.  Even after rubbing the swatches it was clearly visible and didn’t smudge. The price for this three-color palette and considering the brand and the quality of the is suitable and costs 12.50 £ on LunaTu. They also ship internationally, but especially people living in Europe might want to check out the shop because the shipping arrives fast. One point I didn’t like about the palette is the applicator. The material of the sponge is quite hard. Maybe there are people preferring this kind of material, but I do not use the applicator, but instead use my own eyeshadow brushes.

Review: Tansan Kakumei Carbonate Revolution

4. October 2014

In Korea and Japan recently a trend developed to wash your face with carbonated water. I first saw this trend in Korean Beauty Show “Get it Beauty” and when I received the Tansan Kakumei Carbonated Revolution from Beautystar I was very happy to be able to try this trend. By using carbonated water for cleansing your skin will get a massage and be cleaned more thoroughly, taking advantage of all the pearling bubbles in the water. I will tell you right away that I have a little crush on this product ♥

Tansan Kakumei Carbonate Revolution

Tansan Kakumei is a Japanese product and it is one of the best selling items. After its release 50 million packages were sold within half a year. This product is part of the Synapse Media Lab. All you need to have is a basin or a bowl with water in order to use the product. The product consists of two bags with two powders, which combined make up your carbonated water. The front of the bags show a face covered in bubbles, persumeably the carbonate bubbles. Since it is a Japanese product, the instruction on the backside of the package are in Japanese. There are pictures explaining the instructions. You’ll find a English translation to the product description on Beautystar.

Tansan Kakumei Carbonate Revolution

The bags for the two powders are separately packed and marked with “A” and “B”. The color of the bags is different, on e is a bold pink, the other a light rose pink.

Tansan Kakumei Carbonate Revolution

Below you’ll see how to use the two bags of powder to create the carbonated water. First you dissolve powder A into the water. The color of the water remains clear. You won’t see any bubbles at this step. Powder A contains citric acid, malic acid, and glycolic acid. As soon as you add powder B the water will start to sparkle. Powder B contains more ingredients than A, which are:

hydrogencarbonate Na, sodium carbonate Na, sea salt, Sodium lauroyl glutamate Na, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate Mg, Argania spinosa Kernel oil, Aloe barbadensis leaf extract-1・(BG)・(H2O), Hyaluronic acid Na・(H2O), hawthorn berries extract, zizyphus jujube fruit extract, citrus paradise grandis (grapefruit) fruit extract, pyrus malus (apple) fruit extract, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) juice, lemon juice, citrus aurantifolia (lime) juice, BG・H2O

First it foams up, then the foam on the water surface dissapears and you are left with bubbling and fizzy carbonated water. Putting your hand or face into this carbonated water makes the bubbles burst and results in a tingling feeling on your skin. The ingredients are what differentiates this carbonated water from normal carbated water from the bottle. It contains plant extracts and hyalorinic acid, which have beneficial properties for the skin. The sparking and bursting of the bubbles will result in a massage of the skin and promote the blood circulation while the ingredients will provide care to your skin.

Tansan Kakumei Carbonate Revolution

Now, the funny part when using this: you have to soak your face into this sparkling solution, and while you are doing this you have to keep your eyes and mouth closed. Moreover, I would advise you to hold your nose, because the bubbles will popp into your nose otherwise :D You best use cold water, but if you are not used to use cold water start of with lukewarm water – this reduces the tingling. In any case I would previouly clean the face and remove make up residues. The first time I used, the tingling feeling was so shocking that I had to put out my face quickly and start all over again. Now, after I was prepared for the sensation I could try it again. If you use the whole package, the carbonated water is quite strong and the bubbles will burst heavily on your skin. The tingling effect may be considered as unpleasant first, but after a while you get used to it and occasionally start to enjoy it. Afterwards, my face appeared red, because of all the bursting bubbles on my skin and I really could tell that the blood circulation of my skin was stimulated. My face felt refreshed and clear. The redness dissapeared quickly, too. I also tried using only half of the packaging of powder A and B and you still have a lot of bubbles, but the effect was less intense and my face didn’t become red this time. The reddening of the face is also described on the product description, so it is normal and you don’t have to worry about it as long as it dissapears after some minutes. After a while the powder will sink to the bottom of the bowl or basin, but if you stirr the powder, the water will start to bubble up again.

I never thought that this carbonated water would be so addictive…at first I was annoyed that you have to use a bowl or something similar because it means more work. But after feeling and seeing the effect on the skin it made me kind of addicted, although the bubbles tingle on the skin and feel discomforable first. I really love this and I can recommed you to try this. ♥ You can get this from Beautystar for 3.69 US$ each. If you buy 10, you’ll receive one for free. If you buy 30 you’ll receive 5 for free.

Review: Tunemakers VC3 Vitamin C Derivate

20. September 2014

A while ago I reviewed the Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion (a Japanese toner) I’m using currently, and – as I mentioned back then- I use it together with a serum called Tunemakers VC3 Vitamin C Derivate Serum. Both items have been provided by Beautystar, a new online shop for some Japanese beauty products which are harder to get for people living outside of Japan. If you want to have soft skin and don’t use products with a long ingredients list but with natural ingredients mainly these two products are a perfect combination which I can recommend to you anytime. Keep on reading if you want to read more about it :)

Tunemakers VC3 Vitamin C Derivate

Tunemakers is a Japanese brand, which seems to be featured in a lot of Japanese magazines…unfortunately the brands site is in Japanese only, but according to Beautystar’s describtion, Tunemakers was born through the wish of a lot of people for skincare products which contain ingredients which are part of the skin. I think this means, the use of raw ingredients in a good concentration to be absorbed by the skin and yet have the best possible effect. Tunemakers VC3 Vitamine C Derivate serum is formulated, as you can say from the name, from a vitamine C derivate for skin conditioning. It can fix the balance of oil and moisture in skin, and leads to glistening and smooth skin according to the product description. The ingredients list is again – like for the Tunemakers Lotion- very short and contains safe ingredients only: water, BG, ascorbyl phosphate Mg, hydrogenated lecithin, citric acid Na, PEG-100 hydrogenated castor oil, dihydro correspondent-20, Toriokutanoin, citric acid, cholesterol, tocopherol acetate, methyl paraben. You can look up the ingredients on COSDNA >>here<<.

Tunemakers VC3 Vitamin C Derivate

This tiny bottle is made of brown glass, like the Tunemakers Lotion, and prevents the content from light in this way. Nevertheless, since it is real glass you have to be careful not to drop it. The design looks again like the old bottles in pharmacies. I personally like it, but maybe some of you will consider this boring… The cap can be winded on the bottle tightly, too, to prevent oxidization. The opening of the bottle has a dripping nozzle, so you can get out the product dropwise…according to the product description it is advised to use 2 drops in the morning and two in the evening. In this way the bottle should last you last less than two months…I was sometimes a bit unpatient with the nozzle and I ended up with more drops on my hands than the two drops, but still after 4 weeks I have still serum left in the bottle.

Tunemakers VC3 Vitamin C Derivate

The serum is a watery milky colored liquid which is scentless. After a while of using the product you’ll see some white powder on the winding of the bottle. Don’t worry about this, because it is only the dried vitamin C powder. The VC3 derivate is a stabilized vitamine C derivate matched with a derivate of phosphoric acid in high stability. In order to guarantee the stability it is based on capsular lecithin. Other than the O.S.T. Vitamine C Serum, this serum doesn’t change it’s color because of oxidization or anything and doesn’t have to be used up super quickly...but the concentration of the vitamin C in this serum is also less than in the O.S.T. vitamin C serum and thus the effect of these two serums is quite different. As a huge fan of the O.S.T. Vitamin C serum I certainly want to compare these two vitamin C serums and I came to the conclusion that both are good in their own ways. The Tunemakers VC3 Serum makes your skin as promised smooth. Especially in combination with the lotion the skin feels nice afterwards. The ingredients list of both products is short, so it will be suitable for sensitive skintypes, too. The O.S.T Vitamin C Serum shows a more visible result. Because of the high concentration of vitamin C it acts like a chemical peeling, and you will even feel some tingling on your skin sometimes. I didn’t experience any tingling feeling with the tunemakers serum. The downside of both are, that they feel a bit sticky after application, that’s why I prefer to use them at night. If you mix the serum with a cream the stickyness is reduced though.

Concluding these points, I would say that I recommend the tunemakers VC3 serum for a use on daily basis, whereas I recommend the O.S.T. serum for a more deep peeling. People with very sensitive skin, who did not like the tingling effect of the O.S.T. serum will maybe enjoy the tunemakers VC3 serum more. You can get Tunemakers VC3 Serum (and a lot of other serums, too) from BeautyStar. This bottle costs 14.60 US$ and contains 10 ml. Also, check out my review on the Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion which teams up perfectly with this serum. Did you know about this Japanese brand? Which is your favourite vitamin C serum? :)

Review: Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

17. September 2014

Here is my second review I wrote for Beautifan, which is about Etude House Dust Cust Finish Cream (click >>here<< to see it). You can find my first review about Aritaum World Glam Coating Tint there, too. Beautifan is a review blog by the online shop ibuybeauti. Some of you might know that store already, so you will be surprised because they changed their online shop design completelly and they reduced prices and changed the shipping, too. I’d be happy if you check out Beautifan, too, and feel free to leave a comment there :)

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream is part of the Dust Cut Line which was released in spring 2014 by Etude House. This line is designed in order to prevent the sensitive skin after winter time from spring time pollution. The Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream is supposed to build a shield on your skin and prevent your skin from harmful particles. The Dust Cut line is not pink, nevertheless the pale blue or mint packaging looks adorable. The packaging design is simple, but it looks nice nevertheless. The description on the cardboard box is in English and Korean.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

You can check the ingredients list of the cream on COSDNA here. Most of the ingredients are green flagged and the cream contains a couple of plant extracts, too, which have astringent, anti-inflammatory or moisturizing properties. The Dust Cut Finish Cream has three main tasks it has to fulfill: 1. Soothing, 2. Cleansing and 3. Protecting. That means it protects your skin from harmful ingredients like fine dust and other contamination. Additionally, it acts soothing and cleaning by use of natural hypoallergenic ingredients. Last but not least, this cream is 5-free, which means it doesn’t contain mineral oil, sulfates, triethanolamine, artificial pigment, and parabens.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

The Dust Cut Finish Cream comes in a tube with the same design as the cardboard box. It has a silver cap and contains 65 g of product, so it will last quite some time. the bachside of the tube has some Korean description on it, too.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

As you can see below, the opening of the tube was closed by aluminium foil, so that the product is closed tightly until the first use of the buyer.

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

It is a standard tube opening, nothing special about it. The tube can stand on the cap, which I personally prefer to those tubes with a small cap, so you have to lie them down :)

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

The Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream has a fresh floral scent and has a light consistency. It has a white color, but when spread it feels like it turns to water, moist and refreshing. It is not sticky at all, but leaves the skin with a nice glow. Below is the swatch on the back of my hand:

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

Etude House advertises this Finish Cream to have a cleansing effect and protect your skin from particles. I didn’t understand first how exactly this should work, but I made the following test: I used some different make up on my arm like BB cream, mascara, lip liner and eyeliner. The right part of my arm was prepared beforehand with the Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream, whereas on the left part the makeup was directly applied on my skin. Then I used tepid water and washed my arm. Below you can see the result and it is amazing!

Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream

As you can see the right part of my arm is cleaned off- only by using water! The left part shows still the traces of the makeup I used. As you can see, this product really helps you to cleanse off easily the products you applied on your skin. I really started to incooperate this into my skincare rooutine and I use it on top of my daily moisturizer because of my dry skin. For oily skin, this might be already enough moisture and you won’t need to apply another cream below. You can use this not only for daytime, but for nighttime, too, which makes the cleansing in the morning with water only or a light cleanser even more easy! Totally love this cream ♥ You can buy Etude House Dust Cut Finish Cream at ibuybeauty for US$11.50. Since the tube contains a lot of product, the price is adequate in my eyes. It will last you quite some time. Shipping on ibuybeauti depends on weight. They changed it just recently, but reduced the product prices in order to balance it. I think this is a good idea. I’d be happy if you check out my two posts on Beautifan, too:

Review: Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder

16. September 2014

Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder is the first cleansing powder I tried and it was provided by Wishtrend. I ordered this mainly because I was curious about the cleansing powder, secondly, I like the idea that this cleanser contains vitamins, too, for a gentle scrub and removing of dead cells. By the way, congratulations to all the winners of my giveaways! I announced the winners on the Rafflecopter widgets, and everything is confirmed and fine. If you didn’t win any of these, don’t be sad. I’ll have more giveaways in future! ♥

Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder

Rojukiss is a Korean brand which main ideology are “human, nature and science”. They try to help the skin by using natural ingredients, which don’t harm our body. The Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder aims at dead skin cell removal, skin brightening, skin elasticity, deep moisturizing, skin trouble prevention, and skin protection. The ingredients list is not too long and contains mostly green flagged ingredients (click >>here<<).  It contains the enzyme Papain as exfoliator for your skin, which can be irritant for sensitive skin types. Papain can break down dead skin cells and makes your skin appear brighter and less dull by this way. As a natural exfoliator it doesn’t dry out the skin. As I mentioned above, this cleanser also contains 5 vitamins: C, E, B3, B5, B6.

Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder

The Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder comes in a squeezable plastic bottle, with a cap. The etiquette is waterproof, and you can take the bottle into wet hands, without loosing the product name etc. The cleanser comes as a white powder and when lathering you create foam. It is not a very dense and fine foam, though. I find it a bit hard to get the powder out of the bottle and I need to pour a couple of times before I get the amount which is necessary to build up enough foam, but the cleanser smells lightly of fruits, like those multi vitamine drinks.

Although the cleanser doesn’t build up a lot of foam and I thought after first time use that it doesn’t have any cleansing power at all, I was convinced that i’m wrong after I did the underarm test. The Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder removed almost everything, just leaving some light traces of make up which is designed to be removed by oil based cleanser anyways. I was really surprised about this :) Since the cleanser doesn’t leather up in huge amounts of foam, I didn’t have the feeling of having a dry skin after washing my face either.

Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder

I’ve ended up using Rojukiss Multi Vita Cleansing Powder mostly in the morning, because it feels light and smells refreshingly fruity. I have to point out, that the powder form this cleanser has is super for travelling- no spilling of liquids in your bag etc. If you like cleansers with only little foam you will love this even more, especially people with dry skin might like this, because it doesn’t fill stripping on the skin. The only downside is the cap, which i would remove, because it sometimes can be hard to get the powder out..on the other hand, I cannot think of a better or another solution for the bottle. The Rojukiss Milti Vita Cleansing Powder is avalable at Wishtrend for 19.50 US$. Review: Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion

2. September 2014

I introduced the online shop Beautystar in my previous review about Relevance Highlighter Tip and today I will review another item which was provided to me for reviewing purpose, the Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion. Beautystar is an online shop selling Japanese skincare and cosmetic products which are harder to find in other online shops. Apart from the lotion (Japanese lotion is the adequate to Korean toner or skin) I received a serum with I will review separately in future.

Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion

Tunemakers is a Japanese brand, which seems to be featured in a lot of Japanese magazines…unfortunately the brands site is in Japanese only, but according to Beautystar’s describtion, Tunemakers was born through the wish of a lot of people for skincare products which contain ingredients which are part of the skin. I think this means, the use of raw ingredients in a good concentration to be absorbed by the skin and yet have the best possible effect.

Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion

The Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion is a simple waterbased lotion containing ceramide, hyaluronic acid, honey, collagenand royal jelly extract in a ratio of 5:3.5:2:1:1. Water with a weak acidity builds the basis of this mixture. Ceramide is one of the main lipid components of the skin. The content of ceramide declines with age, so ceramide is a skin-identical component and is supposed to help the skin regenerating or balancing the decrease in ceramides.  Collagen is also one of these components which occur naturally in our body and thus in our skin. The amount of collagen declines with our age, too. Ceramides and collangens in cosmetics won’t probably affect our skin in a way, that we start building more collagen and/or ceramides in our skin, however, collagen binds moisture and thus does it help to prevent our skin to dry, when applied on our skin. The same for ceramide, which, as a lipid keeps the right amount of fatty acids on our skin. Hyaluronic acid binds moisture aswell and thus helps the skin to stay moisturized, too. Honey and royal jelly extract are both natural ingredients. Honey is one of the ingredients with the oldest history for beauty uses. Both these ingredients contain vitamins, aminoacids and have anti-inflammatory and also antioxidant effects.

Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion

The full ingredient list is supprisingly short: water, glycerin, 1,2 – hexanediol, sphingoglycolipids of rice bran , hyaluronic acid Na, honey,water-soluble collagen, hydrolyzed royal jelly extract, licorice root extract, ascorbyl phosphate Mg, lysolecithin, hydrogenated lecithin, BG, xanthan gum, apple acid Na, malic acid, citric acid, citric acid Na, phenoxyethanol. Thant’s it! According to COSDNA almost all the ingredients are green flagged. No fragrance, no coloring, no mineral oil, petroleum based surfactant-free, paraben-free,and alcohol- free. I guess this should be suited to people with sensitive skin, too.

Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion

The product itself comes in a brown colored glass bottle. It is real glass, so you have to be careful while using it. Other than this, the bottle looks like a vintage medicine bottle, with a simple ettiquette and all in Japanese. The opening has a drip function, so you won’t spill too much lotion on your hands. I usually apply these moisturising toners/lotion with my hands, directly after washing my face. It has the same consistency like water, it has no scent and feels very light. After applying it absorbs really quickly into the skin and leaves my skin very soft and hydrated.

Tunemakers Original Moisture Lotion

Apart from the fact that it is a glass bottle, this lotion/toner has nothing I would complain about. It has a short ingredient list, feels like water, but makes the skin feel hydrated. I didn’t have any skin irritations while using it and I’m using it every day since two weeks now :) You can get this from Beautystar for US$ 19.50 and I’m sure, that there will be quite some of you, who will share my opinion.
