Review: Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

13. August 2014

When I received MeMeBox Global No. 11 the first product I recognized was the new CC cream by Too Cool For School, called Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City. I’m a huge fan of the Dinoplatz line by Too Cool For School, and previously I reviewed another product from this line, the Dinoplatz Lost Identity Lip Crayon. This line has such a creative and unique packaging and it is so adorable in my eyes! Receiving this product made me super happy, and so finally here is my impression on Too Cool For School’s Dinoplatz Cinema City.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

Too Cool For School is a Korean brand, known for a unique packaging design. Their products are in the mid-pricey region and slightly more expansive than Etude House for example. The Dinoplatz line has a characteristic design showing dinosaurs in different scenaries. The colors of the packaging are white and a mint color. Too Cool For School dinoplatz Cinema City is one of their newer products. It is a CC cream and comes in the full sized version with a blush, a conceiler or a highlighter attached to the cap, which makes it a conventient multi product for travelling/your purse…The tube I will show you is a sample sized tube, only containing the CC cream. Below you can see the georgeous packaging of the cardboard box:

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

The Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City CC cream is usable for 12 months after opening. The further descriptions on the packaging are written in Korean, so I don’t have any detailled information on the ingredients. You can find some informations on the internet though: The product is 6-free, which means it doesn’t contain phtalate, GMO, acrylamide, tar color, benzophenole, steroid or animal derived ingredients. Some ingredients included are argan oil, apricot oil, niacinamide, adenosine and alaska mineral water. This CC cream claims to moisturize your skin, it also contains SPF 30/ PA+++ and contributes to protect your skin from sun damage.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

It comes in a normal plastic tube. As said before, the full size product has a second clear cap attached to the cap, which contains the blusher/highlighter/conceiler. Even the sample size tube has a beautifully designed packaging and cute details on it. ♥

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

The CC cream itself has a light color. It is a fully tinted cream, not a CC cream with color changing beads. The consistency is rather runny. Also, the product needs time to be blended in when using fingers, otherwise it will stay visible on fine lines for example. Maybe a sponge or a beauty blender will do the trick, but I didn’t try it, so far I always used my fingers. The oil controll is medium. After applying, the CC cram leaves a white cast, but it adapts to the skin after a couple of minutes. The scent is floral, but not heavy.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

As you can see above, if blended in quickly with my fingers, the CC cream is visible in the lines of my skin. If you take your time to dabb the CC cream into the skin it looks okay though. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t recommend you to apply a thick layer of this CC cream. It is not suited to be build up, because it tends to look cakey. Below, you see how it looks on my skin. On the image before (left side), I prepared my skin with my skincare routine products (toner, essence, moisturizer). On the right side you see how the skin looks after applying one layer of CC cream. As you can see, the coverage is low, but it evens out the skin tone and brightens up the complexion without looking to unnatural.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

All in all, Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City is a very natural looking CC cream. If you don’t have a lot of skin concerns, you might like the light finish of this CC cream. If you have more visible skin concerns, you could either add a foundation or a high coverage BB cream on top of this. If you have very dry skin, I wouldn’t recommnd this CC cream to you. It might look to flakey on your skin. People with normal/combination or oily skin might like this more. The full sized product contains 30 ml and costs 25000 Won (around 25 US$) at testerkorea.

Did anybody else try tis CC cream? What is your impression? Did you try the full sized product?

Review: Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam

9. August 2014

MeMeBox Global No. 8 contained a bunch of really nice products, among those was also Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam, an oil/foam combo cleanser, making double cleansing easier and adding the extra step of massage. As some of you might know, Korean skincare routine contains the important step of double cleansing your face. That means you use two cleansing steps: in the first one, you remove the makeup, usually by using an oil cleanser, in the second step you clean your face by a foam cleanser for example. For most people this sounds like too much, but I can assure you that there is a difference in your skin condition if you do so. On the other hand, I’m mostly a lazy person, so I’m happy if things going faster…and this is exactly one aim of this combo product, because it combines those two cleansing steps in one.

Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam

I didn’t find any specific information about the brand Max Clinic, but it is a Korean brand which seems to be on the high end level, especially according to the price of the products (see details later). The packaging is made of a cardboard box, with reflecting sides. I think the image at the front of some oil (probably) looks really clean, but on the same time it looks attractive to me. Unfortunately, the description is only in Korean, but this explains probably, why this brand is rather unknown to Korean cosmetics lovers.

Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam

The oil itself comes in a sturdy plastic container with a pump. It has a clear, plastic protective cap, too. The pump dispenser is a bit inconvenient because it is not the long type of dispenser, where you easily can put your hand below, but you’ll always have to hold the bottle in an angular, so you dispense the product into the middle of your palms. Other than this the packaging looks elegant and the material is not appearing cheaply.

Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam

In order to use this cleanser you first dispense one pump on your palms and massage it on your dry face. After massaging, wet your hands and continue massaging. The oil becomes a bit foamy, although it doesn’t generate huge amounts of foams. The cleansing oil is a clear, oil type (of course), yellow-ish colored product and smells fresh. It doesn’t smell of caviar or anything like that. By the way, apart from the caviar oil, I didn’t find any information about the ingredients…but the packaging says “natural ingredients”, so I hope that’s true.

Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam

This cleanser doesn’t make your skin feel dry at all. It feels nice on the skin and I read somewhere that it is also good to use together with a cleansing brush or the electric cleansing brushes. Washing with your hands limits the effectivity of this cleanser, because in my “arm test” it didn’t remove the waterproof make up nicely (see image below). Nevertheless, the skin feels clean afterwards and if you use some other make-up remover before anyways, than it should be a nice cleanser to use.

Max Clinic Caviar Massage Oil Foam

Let’s talk about the price of this cleanser. Obviously it is a rather unknown brand, but of high quality. Also the ingredient caviar oil sounds very luxurious. When I received this product with my MeMeBox Global No.8 I was shocked when I saw the price tag on the information card, because it says, that this full sized product (containing 110 g) costs US$ 73. I personally would never ever buy a cleansing oil for that price…While researching for this brand on the internet, I found that Korean resellers sell this same product for prices between 20 and 30 US$ via ebay. Still, this is expansive, but this sounds like a price more reasonable to me and lies in the range of Sum37 cleanser for example. It has some downsides, like the arrangement of the dispenser and that it doesn’t cleanse waterproof make-up that easily, but it is a good cleanser all in all.

Blog_Rating_MaxClinicCaviarOilCleanser

Nevertheless, in total, this is a high end product and I’m really happy that MeMeBox is always selecting a bunch of nice products for their global boxes. By far, the global boxes had the best value so far and I can recommend everybody who didn’t try their boxes yet, to start of with one of their global boxes. Review: Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

8. August 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATe LINKS //

As soon as I knew that Missha had a German online shop I had to order some items, just to know how it feels not to wait 2 weeks or more for something you’ve ordered. I must say, it was awesome :D One of the products I bought is this Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips in “Sunny Coral”.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

Missha is one of the worldwide famous Korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and recently they even opened up an online store for Germany.  The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging. Also here, the cardboard box is made of reflecting material. The design is very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. The packaging of Missha’s The Style Tinted Jelly Lips is also in a different color for each of the five colors available.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

Apart from “Sunny Coral”, which I will review here, you can select between the shades “Pure Red”, “Swan Pink”, “Happy Pink” and “Fresh Mango”. The back side of the card box packaging contains the description of the product in English and Korean. This product is usable for 18 months after opening it.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

The tint does contain beneficial ingredients like Shea Butter, Cupuacu Butter and Mango Extract. It is talc-free, mineral oil free, wax-free and phthalate-free, and does not contain ingredients derived from animals.  The tint itself comes in a soft plastic tube with a hard plastic cap. You have to twist the cap in order to open it, which makes it travel friendly, because it doesn’t accidentally get open in your purse (which occurred to me quite  often with other lip products :’D).

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

The applicator was new and unique to me. It is a brush with is hole in the middle. The product is squeezed out through that hole and dispenses itself on the brush. The brush itself is easy to use and allows to line your lips precisely. At the beginning it was hard to know how much product I had to squeeze out, but after a couple of times I got used to it and now I know how much pressure I need for preventing a mess :D

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

The tint itself is a jelly/glossy type of tint. It feels more like a gloss compared to other jelly type tints, like for example Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint. The color is a nice and bright orange/coral color which is visible on nude skin tone/lips. You’ll also see below how it looks on my lips, which are more pigmented. The color isn’t visible so nicely anymore, but leaves a coral hue to the lips. It also makes the lips look a bit more plum. The feeling of the tint is very moisturizing. It doesn’t dry the lips out. But, since it is more a glossy type of product, it also feels a bit sticky. The staying power is on the shorter side, let’s say around two hours. The scent of the tint is fruity, but it has no taste.

Missha The Style Tinted Jelly Lips

Except of the fact that the color is only weak on my pigmented lips, I really like this product, especially the applicator was new for me. If you like lipgloss, you’ll like this one as well. I would like to try the darker colors of this range, perhaps they show off better on my lips. You can either buy this on Missha’s online shops. It is on sale for 8 US$ on the US Missha online store, or for 6.90 € on the German Missha online store. As much as I loved to order from a store located in Germany because of the fast delivery, the downside is, that they don’t give samples… Other than this you can get this tint at other korean cosmetics retaillers, like this from W2Bauty for 11.76 US$.

Review: Illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion

6. August 2014

// KBEAUTY / SKINCARE / AFFILIATE LINKS //

Another product from Illi, and it is from the same MeMeBox Global No. 11 like the sheet mask I reviewed previously: Illi’s Fresh Moisture Body Lotion. As the name already says, this is a body lotion with a fresh citrus scent. I never ordered a body lotion from a korean brand, because it is much more conventient to use one from a local drugstore – and cheaper, too, but since I received it, I want to share my opinion with you.

Illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion

Illi is a Korean skincare brand, part of Amore Pacific group which is known by famous brands like Laneige, Etude House, Innisfree and many more. The products known are mainly focussing on body care, like lotions and body washes. The package design of the Illi products are simple and appear very clean or medical. They have a range of different lotions, each addressing a certain skin type. The lotion can be used on body and face, but I only used it on my body. The Illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion is designed for hydrating dry skin and giving it back its elasticity.

Illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion

This is a deluxe size sample containing 100 ml of the product. The full size product contains 350 ml and comes in a pump bottle. The description is only written in Korean on the backside of the bottle. The material is very sturdy. This is also the reason I would have preferred a pump for this smaller bottle, too, because the plastic is hard to squeeze and a pump would be easier to work with.

Illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion

The product has a light yellowish color and smells of citrus. The main ingredients according to Illi’s product site are Gingseng for vitality, Yuzu lemon for stimulating and camllia oil for the glow. The product is lightweight and absorbs quickly and leaves no stickiness or greasiness on the skin. After application the skin has a silky soft touch which is very nice. Unfortunatelly, I think it is too light for addressing very dry skin. Since it is designed for moisturing, I was a bit dissapointed about this point. Other then this I really like how the skin feels afterwards.  Again, it is not easy to find Illi products, but you can check out Jolse for this specific body lotion. The full sized product is quite expensive in my eyes and costs 20.98 US$. On W2Beauty or testerkorea you’ll find some other body lotions from Illi, but all are in the same price range.

Review: Illi Green Tea Brightening Mask

5. August 2014

I received the Illi Green Tea Brightening Mask with MeMeBox Global No. 11 and I tried it almost right away. Only writing up the review took me again too long :D I’m so sorry! Green tea is one of those ingredients with work quite well for advertisement for beauty products, because a lot of people know about the benefits it provides. Especially in Asian skincare you’ll find the ingredient often, just think of the super popular green tea line from Innisfree.  Also, a lot of people love the scent :) like me for example ♥

Illi Green Tea Brightening Mask

Illi is a Korean skincare brand, part of Amore Pacific group which is known by famous brands like Laneige, Etude House, Innisfree and many more. The products known are mainly focusing on body care, like lotions and body washes. They also have a selection of sheet masks and this green tea brightening mask is part of it. The package design of the Illi products are simple and appear very clean or medical. The sheet mask has a description on the backside, but it is in Korean only. Nevertheless, there are images to explain how to use the mask, if this should be necessary at all.

Illi Green Tea Brightening Mask

You see the production date printed on the bottom of the backside. The sheet mask is a cotton type sheet mask. It consists of two parts, one for the upper facial area, the other for the lower facial area. The folded cotton sheet is separated with a plastic grid, which makes it easier to unfold the cotton sheets. The main ingredients of the mask according to the product page are ginseng for vitality, green tea for brightening, beans for moisture and camellia oil for protecting the skin.

Illi Green Tea Brightening Mask

The cotton sheets are soaked very deeply with a gel-like type of essence. This essence makes the cotton sheets cling perfectly to the skin. The cotton sheet material is very thick, too, and feels very soft. There is enough essence left over in the pacaging after taking out the sheet mask. The essence has a mild green tea scent, mixed with a typical skincare scent. When applied to the skin, the mask feels very soft and smooth. Since the mask is composed of two parts, it fits perfectly. I think it is the best fitting mask I tried so far, because it even covers my nose perfectly. The mask has a refreshing effect, which can be enhanced by putting it into the fridge before. The essence is so thickly on the sheet, that it doesn’t absorb completely and thus leaves a slight sticky feeling. After using, the skin looks shiny and fresh. I cannot say anything about the brighteing effect since I only used one mask. All in all, I’m amazed about the thickness and softness of the cotton sheet. I didn’t like that it didn’t absorb, but I would consider to try more sheet masks from Illi. Since the brand is not very popular, it is not easy to find the products. Testerkorea has some Illi products for example and among those also the Illi Green Tea Brightening mask. It costs 2500 Won, which is around 2.50 US$.

Did anybody try this mask, too? What’s your opinion? Do you know other Illi sheet masks?

Review: Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro

4. August 2014

// KBEAUTY / NAILS / AFFILIATE LINKS //

I have a whole bunch of nail polishes containing glitter particles, but I rarely use them only for one reason: it is a pain to remove them afterwards. I bet, some of you know this particular situation. Finally, I decided to make my life easier by buying a peel off base coat and I decided for Innisfree’s Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro in particular.

Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro

Innisfree is an eco-friendly Korean skincare and makeup brand focusing on natural ingredients and recycle packaging. The design of their products is simply and neat and nicely reflects the ideology of the brand. Normally, Innisfree products are free from harmful ingredients, but unfortunatelly I couln’t find any information on this specific product.

Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro

The nail polish bottle has a simply design. It has a clear body and a white cap and looks very sturdy. The color of the coat shines through the bottle. The peel off coat has a milky color, but when dried it looks clear on the nails. The brush is short and easy to handle and it takes an appropriate amount of the peel off coat. The product is basically scent free, too.

Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro

The consistency of the peel off coat is something between glue-like and normal nail polish. When applied it has to dry off completely before you apply the next nail polish. It should help to make your second layer dry quicker and ít claims to enhance the color of the nail polish. I used it in the pictures below together with Etude House Play Color No. 55 nail polish.

Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro

This was the first try I used the base coat. If you have some experience you know how to find the corner for peeling off larger chunks. My other hand turned out much better as you see below :D Some residues may be left, but they can be removed very easily, too.

Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat Pro

I definitively should have bought such a peel off coat earlier. I’m super happy how easy this Innisfree Eco Peel Off Base Coat makes my life now :D If you love glitter nail polishes but hate removing them, I can definitively recommend you to buy one of these. I bought mine from Keautystore, for 8 US$, but I had reward points to use, so I paid nothing :D You can get this from W2Bauty for 2.50 US$. If you use my affiliate link or enter the code 088505 in the registration form you’ll receive a 5 US$ voucher, which can be used immediately for purchases over 30 US$.

Graveyard: July 2014

31. July 2014

Another month passed, which means another graveyard post for me. Here are the product empties in July 2014:

empties_July2014_2

1. Damoae Therapy Shampoo – Repurchase? Yes!

I would love to repurchase this shampoo. It worked so nice on my hair and gave me back the shine I missed so much. Also my hair felt stronger during the time I used. You can also check out the before and after pictures in my review for Damoae Therapy Shampoo and Tonic. They speak for themselves. Unfortunatelly, it is a bit pricey…But the shampoo also lasts for quite a time. I used it together with my bf, both of us washing our hair twice with the shampoo, and it lasted for 3 months. I guess for one person it can last more than half a year.

2. Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit – Repurchase? Parts of it.

Also here you can check out my review. I enjoyed using the kit, because it contained everything for a nice skincare routine, but my favourite items were the emulsion and the sleeping mask. I could imagine rebuying these some time. For green tea lovers I can definitively recommend you to try out one of the products from this line, or search for those kinds of kits. It is always more helpful than buying a fullsize and discovereing that you don’t like it.

3. Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream – Repurchase? Yes.

I talked about this product more than once and it was in one of my previous empty posts, too. This is the second tube I bought, which was at my bf’s place. Snail mucus newbies should try out this gel cream. You can also read more in my review.

4. TheFaceShop Foot Peeling – Repurchase? Yes.

My first foot peeling! I was doubtfull if if yould work, but it did. My skin is renewed and I’m ready for summertime and sandals XD Review in progress.

5. Skinfood Vita Water Drop CC Cream – Repurchase? Yes and no.

This is such an adorable packaging!*_* I’m still in love with it, although it is now time for us to part XD This was my first CC cream and it is not one of those CC creams containing color changing beads, but a fully colored one. It has a light and watery texture and gives you a nice finish. I really like this product. I won’t repurchase it though, simply because I have so many other CC/BB creams which I need to finish up before rebuying anything XD. Here is my review.

6. Skinmiso Rice Foam Cleansing – Repurchase? No.

This foam cleanser made me curious because it contained rice. It is a good cleanser, building up a decent amount of foam with a tiny bit of product. Somehow the scent is not my favourite and considering the huge amount of different cleanser I will try other foam cleanser before I repurchase this one. Read my review here.

Here are all my empty products in one picture :) Time to say goodbye to them :D

Which products do you like from these? Which did you try? Which one would you like to try? Leave a comment if you like :)

Review: Missha M Everlasting Lip Top Coat

30. July 2014

Matte liptints and lipsticks are one of the trends I observed in the last months. It seems as if every brand comes up with a new tint or stain or other lip product. Recently, I made a comparison beween RiRe Lipmanicure and Clio Lipnicure, which are matte lip laquers, too. A lot of people find these formula too drying, and I agree, because it makes them less daily wearable. For this reason lip top coats are one of the products from interest. I bought Missha M Everlasting Lip Top Coat and I really preferr to use this over the drying lip products for daily use.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_1

Missha is one of the worldwide famous korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and recently they even opened up an online store for Germany, which made me super happy.  The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging. Also here, the cardboard box is made of reflecting material with ornaments. The design is very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. Missha M everlasting Lip Top Coat comes in a long bullet shaped packaging. The part containing the top coat is clear with a light grey gradient, sturdy material, where you can see how much product is left.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_2

Although the product is available in a lot of countries, the description on the cardboard box is in Korean only. You can find a lot of describtion on the online stores sites on the other hand. Here is the description taken from the US site:

Clear top coat for lips!
Non-sticky gloss coating for a smudge free, long lasting wear.

Jojoba Oil and Grape Seed Oil for moisturizing and nourishing benefits.
Moisture Barrier Polymer helps prevent dry, chapped lips.
Features the Light Gel System for a lightweight shine.

It has a soft brush tip for easy application and a perfect finish.

Moreover the packaging shows that this product can be used for 18 months after opened.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_3

The cap really looks beautiful if you look at it more closely.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_4

The applicator of the lip coat is a brush. I really like this applicator. The tip is fine enough to overlay the lips in a detailled way. It also is bendable and soft in use.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_5

Below you see how Missha M everlasting Lip Top Coat looks on Clio’s Lipnicure (on the right). It doesn’t smudge the lip laquer or make it feather. It feels not sticky, but pleasant for a top coat.

Missha_MEverlastingLipTopCoat_6

Here is the image I showed in my comparison review. You can see how the lip coat looks like on my lips in the bottom of the picture. It gives the lips a nice gloss and hides the dryness of the lip product.

Clio_vs_RiRe_10

There are also lip coats available specific for  Clio’s Lipnicure or for RiRe’s Lipmanicure, but the one from Missha does a good job, too and I don’t think that the other coats will be really different from this one. Also, I discovered, that the Clio Lipnicure which tends to chunk off in large pieces is more wearable with a lip coat, because the fading of the color is less harsh. the ingredients of this lip coat are nice, it includes Jojoba oil and grapeseed oil, so the lips won’t feel drying. You can get this lip top coat from the Missha online stores for around 13 US$ or via ebay. Do you use a top coat for your matte lip products? Do you have any favourite?

Review: Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

24. July 2014

// KBEAUTY / SKINCARE / AFFILIATE LINKS //

I loved the previous eye cream I reviewed by Laneige because of its hydration, but since it was only a sample I bought a new one: Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream! Phew, it is a long name so I will shorten it to Mizon’s Snail Repair Eye Cream throughout the review ;) There are a lot of people out there who are familliar with the Mizon Snail Repair skincare line and snail mucus has been a highly raved ingredient in the past year and still it is. Mizon’s Snail Repair Cream has a lot of fans and this is the eye cream in this skincare range. Some of you might be wondering, because it comes in a jar ususally, but since some time ago Mizon offers this size for the cream and the eye cream, too. Since you normally don’t use a lot of eye cream throughout the day, I find that jars are normally like forever lasting and if you don’t like the cream you end up wasting a lot of product. I was really happy about this travel size tube ( which was affordable, too!) and bought it right away.

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

Mizon is a Korean brand and as already mentioned the Multi Funcional Formula Snail Repair Line is the most well known amonst their products. I reviewed the really recommendable Snail Recovery Gel Cream earlier and this is the perfect product for snail mucus newbies. And don’t worry, the cream or nothing about it will make you think of snails, except the name…and for animal lovers: no animal was harmed for obtaining snail mucus. All Mizon products I tried so far had a sealed packaging with a reflective sticker, and this one also has a sign that it is approved by the KMAC (Korean Model Association Certificate). Honestly, I don’t know this certificate or know what it means and I didn’t find anything on google either. Any information anyone?

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

As already said earlier, the cream comes in a standard tube with a screwing cap. I would have preferred a pump instead of jar or normal tube, because it is more hygienic, but a tube is already more hygienic than a jar in my opinion. The tube comes in a cardboard box containing the description in English and Korean. Also the ingredients are written in English, which is great. The components of the cream are not harmfull according to COSDNA and mostly green flagged. There are some irritants/acne triggers though, so if you have sensitive skin, you may check the ingredients first. The main ingredient is the snail secration filtrate, which is on first place in the list. It makes 80% of the cream, which is a great amount. Snail secration filtrate is supposed to promote wound healing and have a positive effect on photodamaged skin.

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

Note that you can find the production date (not the expiration date!) on the top of the tube.

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

The application of the cream is easy. You need only a tiny amount of the cream which can be dosed easily by the tube. The cream has a white, creamy consistency and does not look like snail mucus at all. It has no scent either. While applying the cream the consistency turns more watery and aborbs fast into the skin, leaving it without any traces or greasiness. It makes the skin feel matte and healthy.

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream

Do I like the this cream: Yes. It is a good eye cream for the day time. I also had no problems with it when applying concealer for example. In terms of moisture, I still think that Laneige’s Waterbank Eye Gel is my favourite. This one gives you a more healthy look. I can’t say that it makes my fine eye lines vanished, but it helps to make the under eye area look nurished. I can recommend this eye cream as a good daily eye cream. At night, I use another eye care product (serum) atm. You can find the tube for 10.37 US$ at W2Beauty. If you want to try the tube I would look at www.testerkorea.com.

Who knows this eye cream or would like to try it?

I think this is the first time I review a sunscreen on my blog. Today’s post is gonna be about the Innisfree Eco Safety Perfect Waterproof Sunblock. Normally, I use normal drugstore brands when I’m looking for sunscreen, but I still had this travel-sized tube of Innisfree’s Sunblock in my sample stash, so I decided, why not give it a try and write up a post about it. So here it is:

Innisfree is an eco-friendly Korean skincare and makeup brand focusing on natural ingredients and recycle packaging. The design of their products is simply and neat and nicely reflects the ideology of the brand. The Eco Safety Perfect Waterproof Sunblock is a 5-free product, that means that it is free of 5 commonly used ingredients, which are not beneficial. This product is free from parabens, artificial colors, talc and mineral oils. Furthermore it is animal-friendly.

The sample sized product comes in a little tube with a screw cap. as does the full-sized product. The back of the sample product contains only Korean description. As far as I know the card board paper packaging of the full-sized tube contains English description and an ingredients list. You can look up the ingredients on COSDNA. This sunblock has a 100% mineral filter composed of the two ingredients zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. It has SPF 50+/PA+++.The downside hereby is, that these physical sunblocks show a white cast upon application. Apart from these two ingredients, the list also contains niacinamide, which helps to even out the skintone. Keep in mind not to use it directly with a vitamin C containing product, but wait at least half an hour between using these two ingredients (also see my review on Secret Key Snow White Cream). The sunblock also contains organic sunflower oil and green tea.

The product itself has a citrus scent. The scent lingers on  your skin if you smell directly the part of your body you used the sunblock on. The scent is not overpowering though. The cream has a beige color. Probably in order to adapt to the skin color. It has a slight whiter cast, but it is not too bad. The cream absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t feel sticky. The product says, that since it brightens up the skin, it can be also used as primer. What I like most is, that it is waterproof. It also claims to be sebum- and sweat proof, but I think that it is not suited for oily skin faces. But for normal and dry skin this sunblock should work great. there are two other versions of this sunscreen available, one is suited better for oily skin, since it is called Eco Safety No Sebum Sunblock. The other one is the normal version (not waterproof) called Eco Safety Perfect Sunblock. You can find all these three sunscreens for around 13 US$ at W2Beauty. What are your favourite Korean Sunblocks? Anybody tried the other two versions of this cream by Innisfree?
