Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon | Pink Bird Box May 2016

14. June 2016

After last month’s pink bird box, which included all three Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Packs, this month’s pink bird box is packed with makeup products. Since I had so many pictures for this post I decided to make three reviews, each focussing on one of the three newly released products out of this box: The Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon, the Etude House Real Powder Cushion and new colors of the Etude House Play 101 Pencils. I will start with the key item of the new Etude House releases, the Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon.

Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon

First of all, some words about the Korean brand Etude House: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adorable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging… Etude House has a blogger program called Pink Bird. Selected blogger will receive a monthly box for a defined period of time packed with selected products for reviewing purpose. I’m really proud and happy to be part of their Pink Bird program!

Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon

Etude House even send us two different shades from their new lipstick range, which I will show you here: We received shade PK027 and BE109 of this new semi-matte lipstick range. All in all there are 12 colors available of the Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon.

Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon

As you can see Etude House changed the design of their lipsticks. The previous design was princess-y and looked like a toy. The new design is still pink and cute, but more sleep than before. The material is still a light plastic though and doesn’t feel super expensive. Still, for people loving pink this will be a dream again.

Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon

The Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon are a combination of a soft and moist cream lipstick and a long-lasting and pigmented matte lipsticks. The combination of both properties builds the chiffon lipstick. The lipstick promises to be thin and light, long-lasting and fill the lines and wrinkles of the lips. I’m a bit confused by the last property though, because usually I do not want the lipstick to settle in the lines…but proberly they mean that it stains the lips evenly.

Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon

PK027 is the shade which was advertised by Krystal in the promotional pics and is a pigmented dark pink shade, almost cherry toned. I was first worried that it would be too pink for me, but surprisingly it looks really nice and almost like the color that most lip tints pay off on the lips. BE101 is a beige color which can be pulled off for a daily and natural look. It was hyped by LilyMaymac on Instagram. It fits perfectly to my natural lip color and is the perfect contrast to the vivid pink color from PK027. The texture of the lipsticks is nice, not super creamy and melting, but also not dry and difficult to layer like some matte lipsticks are. It is a perfect mixture as I expected from this lipstick. The pigmentation is nicely visible, too, as you can see from the swatches below. Both colors cover my lips evenly and do not accentuate the dry parts of my lips and they did not settle unprettily in the lines either. Luckily! BE101 wears off quicker than PK027, which leaves a bit of a stain, but the lipsticks are not long-lasting. Actually, not a real surprise to me, because it is really hard to find a really long-lasting lipstick anyways.

Etude House Dear My Dear Lip-Talk Chiffon

All in all, although I was not expecting too much from this lipstick, I really like the two colors. Although I prefer the old design of the Etude House lipsticks, these are not too bad either. I grabbed the PK027 quite often in the last day, guess I like the pink shade- although, if you know me, you know that I prefer red lips usually! The Etude House Dear My Lips-Talk Chiffon retail for 12.40 US$ on Etude House’s official store.

Review: Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick

8. June 2016

You know I have an obsession with lipsticks so it is time for another lipstick review. I kindly received the Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick by Korean cosmetics online shop Qdepot some time ago and although my initial wish for a product for reviewing was another item which was out of stock I accepted the offer for this product mainly out of two reasons: I never reviewed any products from Banila Co, and I loved the packaging design!

Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick

Banila Co. first came into my focus when everybody started to rave about their Cleansing Balm. I even bought a couple of samples of it in order to try but I didn’t have the chance to write the reviews yet. Other than that this Korean brand reminds me of benefit when I look at their logo and design of their skincare and makeup products.

Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick

The Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick is from the Glam Muse Makeup line and all the products have the same patterns and ornaments. The design is not only restricted to the cardboard boxes of the products and it is also present on the products themselves.

Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick

The Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick is available in 6 shades and you will also find additional description about the lipstick on Qdepot. The shade I’m showing you here is shade LRD331, a rosy-pink shade with shimmering particles. It applies smoothly and leaves a sheen on the lips. Due to the creamy texture it is not long lasting though and dissappearsee quickly. It doesn’t leave visible stain on my lips either, but still the color is pretty, even though usually I prefer lipsticks without shimmer particles. Since the product also contains argan oil and palm seed oil it has also a moisturizing effect and is not drying on the lips.

Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick

If you are looking for a creamy and naturally colored lipstick the Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick in shade LRD331 might be a good choice for you. It is not long-lasting and not too opaque though, but rather makes your lips look natural and shiny. It is a good everyday-lips color in my eyes. The Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick retails for 11.81 US$ at Q-depot and they have up to 35 % discount on products from Banila Co. at the moment.

Q-depot is an online retailer for Korean cosmetics. They have already quite a variety of the most popular Korean brands and they keep adding products frequently. The site is easy to navigate, too. And they offer free samples for each order andfree shipping for orders above US$ 49. What I like especially, that they have an extra section for cruelty-free products, which contains brands like Iope, Innisfree, Etude House, etc. I didn’t see that before for most of the online stores, so that’s something really innovative and nice. Also, they are committed to contributing 3% of their group’s net profit for social causes in different countries. So you can shop for your favorite Korean products and do something good, too. Also,Q-depot is having a promotion were you can get 25 US$ coupon upon signing up. The coupon is useable for a minimum purchase of 69 US$.

Here are also some useful coupons when ordering at the moment:

Review: Essence Juice It Edition

6. June 2016

// PR SAMPLE / BEAUTY / MAKE-UP //

Since midths of May a new limited edition by Essence is available: the Essence Juice It Edition. The makeup products from this line are dedicated to summer and fruits and therefore come along with colorful and fruity packaging design. Until middle of June you will be able to get the products from this edition from your local drugstores. When I saw the press release I was already eyeing some of these products, but luckily, on the same day I wanted to go to the drugstore and take a closer look, I received a package containing a total of 8 products from this edition! I was utterly happy in that moment :D

Essence Juice It Edition

Essence is a european drug store brand, which is easily available here in Germany, but also in many other countries around the world. Their brand philosophy is against animal testing and their products are really affordable, providing a reasonable quality. The colors of the Essence Juice It Edition are described as a “reminiscent of a mixed peach, watermelon and cherry fruit basket, and the gel-like, partially scented textures conjure-up spring colour effects on the lips and nails”. Sounds perfect for summer to me! But let’s take a look at the products I received:

Essence Juice It Edition

First of all, and probably the key item of this collection, are the Essence Juice It Jelly Nail Polishes. There are a total of four colors of these semi-transparent jelly nail polishes available and I received 3 of them called Jelly Orange, Jelly Water Melon and Jelly Cherry. Additionally there are some Essence Juice It Scented Nail Stickers which you can use to spice up your nail art.

Essence Juice It Edition

The nail polishes have a short application brush, which made it a bit difficult for me to paint my nails. With one layer the colors are not opaque and you will see the white of your nails through the polish. Two layers, or even three layers are really pretty nice and give a nice jelly effect, aswell. The glossy jelly finish also stays for a long time and is not disappearing after 1 or two days, but the surface of the dried nail polish is prone to fine scratches. the staying power of the nail polish was nice though, depending on how much work you do with your hands of course.

Essence Juice It Edition

The scented nail stickers have a nice fruity scent and there are quite some different motives on the sticker sheet, reaching from fruits to flamingos. You just have to press them onto your nails and you are done. I didn’t use the stickers yet, but I think I will definitely go for it during the upcoming summer weather.

Essence Juice It Edition

The item I wanted to buy anyways from this collection was the Essence Juice It Detangle Brush! I fell in love with the watermelon inspired design at first sight. The brush is similar to a tangle teezer, but smaller. The brushes feel a bit stiffer than the ones of the Tangle Teezer, but still it is so cute and has the perfect size for carrying it around! My favorite item from this collection!

Essence Juice It Edition

A makeup line without any lip products is not a real makeup line :D So here are two lip products from this collection, the Essene Juice It Jelly Tint Lipstick and the Essence Juice It Glossy Lipliner. The Jelly Tint Lipstick in shade “01 Cherry Cherry Lady” reminds me of the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Tint. It doesn’t show any tint though on my skin, but seems it has a very subtle pink stain. It is not visible on my lips and has more a feeling of a balm than a tint or lipstick. The Glossy Lipliner in shade “02 You Are One In A Melon” has a light pink color and a creamy texture. It spreads nicely across the skin, but unfortunately is barely visible on my lips, too.

Essence Juice It Edition

The last product I want to share with you from this edition is the Essence Juice It Cherry Eau De Toilette. This light perfume has a nice fruity scent and luckily does not have any overpowering artificial cherry scent. It will be liked by people who love fruity perfumes. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last too long and fades too quickly.

Essence Juice It Edition

All in all the theme of the Essence Juice It Edition fits perfectly to the summer season and the colors are nicely selected and make me crave for fresh and colorful fruits. I really like the Jelly Nail Polishes and the Detangle Brush and also the scented Nail Stickers are such an adorable idea. Since Essence is a drugstore brand the products will be available at an affordable price, too, so if you like any of the items it is worth to grab them as long as they are still available.

What is your impression of the Essence Juice It Edition?

The box retails for 68.99 US$ instead of 137.96 US$, so it is worth to keep your eyes and ears open for this deal.

Wishtrend Coupon Codes June 2016

Also, there is a new Wishbox with the topic “Multi Masking”. Multi masking has been quite a trend lately and simply means that you put on different Wash Off masks on different areas of your face…for example something to balance oil on you T-Zone and another mask for moisturizing on you cheeks. The box contains 4 different wash off masks and a brush for 65.82 US$.

Wishtrend Coupon Codes June 2016

Another new arrival is the long awaited CosRX Make Me Lovely Cushion. So far CosRX is convincing with most of their products, which is the reason that many people were waiting eagerly for them to announce their first cushion foundation, and here it is! It retails for 22.90 US$. In contrast to the CosRX Make Me Lovely BB Cream this one has a dewy finish. The cushion is also available in two shades.

Wishtrend Coupon Codes June 2016

Review: Realash Eyelash Enhancer | Update after 6 Weeks

31. May 2016

Remember my teaser post for the Realash Eyelash Enhancer I received from Realash for reviewing purpose? I started using it back then and I promised to give updates on my eyelashes after 6 weeks of using this eyelash growth serum and another final conclusion after 3 months. The first 6 weeks passed so quickly and I was absolutely sure that the changes in my eyelash growth would be moderate or small, barely visible… But let’s take a look at the results so far using my before and after pictures:

Realash Eyelash Enhancer

The Realash Eyelash Enhancer is a serum for your eyelashes which promotes the growth of your lashes. It promises not only longer but also thicker and denser lashes when applied regularly. As I said in my previous post there are many eyelash serums available and the prices range between super cheap drugstore brands to super expensive ones. I tried another affordable eyelash serum from Catrice previously, but it didn’t show any significant changes while using it. After reading many positive reviews about the Realash Eyelash Enhancer, which is definitely pricier than the drugstore versions, my expectations were quite high and I was doubtful whether the product lives up to its claims.

Realash Eyelash Enhancer

The hardest part in using an eyelash serum is to get used to the additional step in my night-time routine. In order to see the effect of the serum you have to apply it regularly in the evenings on your lash line. It helps to remind yourself by some note in your calendar or by putting the serum on your bedside table. For sure I skipped 2 or 3 days during the last weeks because I either was not at home and forgot to take it with me or I simply was home to late and fell into my bed sleeping directly without even removing my makeup (don’t take this as an example please…this is one of my bad habits I’m trying to get rid off XD ). Nevertheless, I was more than surprised when I compared my before and after pictures of my lashes:

Realash Eyelash Enhancer

Looking at the picture above you already see that my lashes are definitely longer than 6 weeks ago! And I’m not using any mascara in the images!!! Wow….and even more amazed I was when I compared my lashes with closed eyes. The piece of paper helps to see if the lashes are thicker and denser. The result blew my mind!

Realash Eyelash Enhancer

I was especially curious about how the Realash Eyelash Enhancer affects the density and thickness of my lashes because it is the feature I love most about mascara. Seeing the picture above I would almost say that there is no need of mascara wouldn’t it be for curling and holding the curl of the lashes! Below you see an image of how the lashes differ without and with mascara. It really gives the eyes a more dramatic effect.

Realash Eyelash Enhancer

Below you see my simple daily eye makeup using eyeliner and mascara only and I’m so happy about my longer and denser lashes. My boyfriend even asked the other day if I’m wearing falsies! That’s a big compliment for Realash and the Realash Eyelash Enhancer since it is exactly what they claim to achieve with it.

Realash Eyelash Enhancer

For me the Realash Eyelash Enhancer did the trick and it really improved the length, volume and thickness of my eyelashes. The result seems to vary from person to person and there are surely limits within each individuals genetic disposition, but for effective and visible results I can advise you to skip the super cheap drugstore serums and rather go for a mid-priced eyelash enhancer. Your nightly invested time will have a more visible result with these. I will continue to use this serum and I will write a final conclusion about the Realash Eyelash Enhancer after 3 months of using it, but I’m sure that the lashes will stay bout the same as now as long as I apply it regularly. And here comes also my only downside about eyelash serums in general: Usually, when you stop the use of the serum and the lashes fall out after their growth period you will probably return to your good old lashes from before…The Realash Eyelash Enhancer retails for 70 € and contains 3 ml of serum. So far it lasts and I hope it will last for more than 3 months.

I hope my review was useful to you and I can advise you to check out the Realash wegpage and the before and after pictures of other testers they show on their show there. Also read my introduction post >>here<<!

Asian Beauty Blog Party: Sheetmask Favorites

29. May 2016

For our last winter season Asian Beauty Blog Party we thought about sharing our favourite sheetmasks with you and explain why we like them so much. If you are wondering, there will be a traditional summer time Asian Bleauty Blog Party where everybody can share their links to a certain topic in June, July, August, and  September. It will be hosted by Sophie. The winter Asian Beauty Blog Party will continue in October probably, so keep your ears and eyes open :D

Asian Beauty Blog Party: Sheetmask Favorites

I will start off with my favorite sheetmask and then I will comment on the selected sheetmasks of my fellow bloggers:

For me, my favorite sheetmask has no specific name but it is rather a favorite ingredient, which is Aloe Vera.  I chose a Missha Pure Source cell sheet mask with Aloe below because of the key ingredient Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is one of my favourite ingredients for not only moisturizing but also calming and soothing the skin. In summer my favorite is a cooled aloe sheetmask which I placed in the fridge before using it.

Asian Beauty Blog Party: Sheetmask Favorites

Sophie from MapleTreeBlog chose a  My Scheming brand. She says “This brand was a new discover for me this year and I’m loving what I’ve learnt so far. They’re not overly expensive and can be bought in boxes which makes daily masking less guilt inducing. I also love the packaging. In the herbal anti acne mask which I’m wearing the girl is hitting the acne with a mallet. Which is something I wish I could do! They come with a plastic backing which makes using them easier and are absolutely dripping in essence. There’s enough for me to slather my face, neck and décolletage in it. This particular type is moisturising and does help with my redness. It contains green tea, witch hazel, chamomile, aloe and Orris among other ingredients. Definitely a repurchase for me.”

My Scheming was actually the first brand for sheetmasks that I tried. I bought a pack containing 10 different types for testing and they were so adorable in their packaging and I liked them a lot back then. I can imagine that I would still like using them, especially now that Sophie reminded me of this wonderful brand.

Asian Beauty Blog Party: Sheetmask Favorites

Michele from Beautyfindsforme says: Benton Snail ? Bee ? High Content Mask Pack (Korea) is one of my favorite masks for when my face feels really oily or has blemishes. I find it to be very soothing and helps reduce redness, while controlling oil and hydrating my skin. This mask is on the drier side as far as essence goes, but I find that the mask benefits outweigh that this is a bit drier. My face feels refreshed and if I have blemishes, they are less red and sore after I use this. Snail mucin will help moisturize and heal your skin and bee venom helps prevent blemishes. This mask is also good for sensitive skin as well. I really love this mask and I try to keep 5 to 10 on hand, as I am known just to slap this on in the morning as a quick pick-my-skin-up!”

I love snail mucus and products containing snail mucus… and usually I’m into bees and products from bees for skincare too. Unfortunately, my skin didn’t like the Benton snail bee line, so I avoided using the sheetmasks too. I reviewed the cream previously aswell (here). But you will also find many positive reviews for this specific skincare range from Benton.

Asian Beauty Blog Party: Sheetmask Favorites

Julie from PDXBeautiful says:Here is my pick. The Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Shea Butter. This mask hydrates my skin like nobody’s business. The thick, milky essence not only hydrates but plumps and soothes. This does leave a slightly oily finish behind but that is one thing I love about this mask because it helps eliminate dehydration. I find I don’t need to apply a ton of moisturizer after using this mask. No matter what stress I put my skin through (yes, actives I’m looking at you) this always puts my skin back into proper balance. It also has a light but yummy creamy, nutty and buttery scent that I just adore. This mask is inexpensive and widely available as Innisfree is a very popular Korean cosmetic brand. The fit is great, lasts for about 30 minutes and as a bit of left over essence for extra hydration. I have not had any reaction, no sensitivity or irritation and no breakouts from this mask. Main ingredients include shea butter, hyaluronate and green tea.”

Honestly, I really want to try exactly this mask right now! Thanks Julie for introducing it. I love Innisfree masks and I have a bunch of them at home at hands. I also tried the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Masks previously, but not the one with shea butter. And since I love shea butter as rehydrating ingredient I’m slightly angry I didn’t get this mask any earlier.

Asian Beauty Blog Party: Sheetmask Favorites

Amy from PeepingPomeranian chose a hydrogel sheetmask from Banila. It looks so pretty with the laces, doesn’t it?She says: “As a person who hates spending more an a dollar on a sheetmask, I found it funny that I prefer hydrogels #expensivetastes. For myself, its mostly a time and texture issue. I don’t like spending more than 30mins masking. I always have stuff to do and having to lay down with a mask is almost never something I do. Which means I need a mask that will stick to my face well. I find more often than not hydrogels, due to the way they conform to the face, will stay put allowing me to continue on with my business. I suspect that my dry skin is probably better suited to sticking to the gels as well. Additionally, I also don’t really like sheetmasks that are sopping wet with essence. These are usually fiber masks, cotton, silk etc. Some do conform better than others, but I don’t like spending so much down time and I find that my skin doesn’t absorb all the extra essence. This leaves my skin tacky, even when I apply the essence elsewhere. This is probably why I tend to be quite picky about which non-gel masks I use since I like a thinner less gel like essence.”

I’m really starting to like hydrogel masks but there are some which seem to be drying out quickly. One of my favorite sheet masks is the Moonlab Real Cooling Thermometer Mask, which is made of coconut fiber, very similar to hydrogel. I can really recommend yu to try this mask if you can get your hands on it!

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter with Indigo Nutrition Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

25. May 2016

// PR SAMPLE / DIY / BEAUTY //

Coconut oil is one of those household products you will be able to find easily available and very versatile and useful. Surely, the main purpose of coconut oil is cooking. It can be used with higher temperatures and gives an exotic flavour to the dish. Furthermore it is quite healthy, since it is more heat resistant than other oils for example. However, coconut oil also has many other uses, and especially a huge amount of beauty uses and it has become one of my favorite ingredients and must-have products.

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

I received a huge jar Organic Virgin Coconut Oil from Indigo Nutrition for reviewing purpose and I decided to use this review to share one of my quickest DIY beauty recipes with you: an easy one-ingredient DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter!…Okay, to be honest, I used two ingredients: Matcha powder and coconut oil, but mainly for the color :D The recipe works absolutely fine with only coconut oil.

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

Coconut oil can be used for haircare, bodycare, makeupremover….there are so many options and you can really be creative with using it. When I do not use it for cooking I’m using a nut-sized bit of the oil as extra care for my dry ends of my hair. Another way I love using coconut oil is a s body moisturizer. That scent is simply amazing!

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

Here is my recipe for a quick DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter made from coconut oil. You can go with one ingredient only, which is the coconut oil, but if you want to you can add some vitamin E or essential oils. I tried one with matcha powder this time:

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

Mainly you will need these things for making your own coconut body butter: a handmixer (or kitchenaid), coconut oil, a bowl, and a jar to store your product afterwards. The steps are super simple to follow:

  1. Put a desired amount of coconut oil into the bowl. It should not be too few, because you will want to use the mixer.
  2. Add whatever ingredient you want to combine, like Vitamin E, or essential oils. I went for some matcha powder.
  3. Warm up the bowl in a sauce pan with water until the coconut is melted and you can combine your ingredients nicely.
  4. When everything is combined put your bowl into the freezer for 20 minutes until the coconut oil has retained a more solid consistency, but still soft enough to be mixed.

Review: Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack

22. May 2016

Recently, I was contacted by Global Interpark, an e-commerce company in Seoul, whether I would like to chose any product from their shopping mall for reviewing. I didn’t know about Interpark before, but I learnt that they are the very first company to provide e-commerce service in Korea. There are over 800,000 items listed on their website and around 5,000 items are translated focussing on K-beauty and K-pop related items. I used this opportunity and selected the Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack with had been on my wishlist for a long time.

Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack

Laneige is a Korean brand, part of the Amore Pacific Group. The brand name comes from the french word for snow which is “la neige”. The brand name reflects the beauty of young women between 24 and 32 years by focusing on water as source of life. Therefore the products design is more mature and clean, reflecting the image of moisture obtained through water. The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is probably the more famous mask pack by Laneige, but the Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack does sound super delicious and  on top has a pink colored jar...so what to say more?! :D In contrast to the sleeping pack this pack has to be washed off after leaving it for a couple of minutes on your face.

Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack

The jar comes in a very simple cardboard box with the typical blue and white colors of Laneige. It doesn’t have many descriptions either, but inside the cardboard box you will find an instruction paper with descriptions, also in English. The Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack is ‘designed to nourish the skin from deep inside and leave it supple’. It contains Soghurty, a specialized fermented yoghurt which promotes collagen synthesis and enhances the defense abilities of the skin from harmful external causes, according to the description. The berryblend complex, containing berry extracts from Raspberries, Blueberries, Wolfberries, Cranberries and Strawberries, supplies the skin with antioxidants and delivers nutrition. You can find a list of all ingredients on COSDNA. There are some minor irritants in the list, so be sure to check them out beforehand.

Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack

There is a spatula included in the packaging, so you do not have to worry about using your fingers for spooning out the pack. It has a creamy consitency and especially a very very delicious scent. I can only say that it smells like fruit yoghirt so I was really tempted to give it a try (but I didn’t!). The color is mainly white, but with a hint of pink. Spreaded it also feels like firm yoghurt and spreads easily, without being drippy. It will stay on your face and you don’t need to worry about dripping it all over. The pack can be left on the face for 5-10 minutes and washed off with lukewarm water afterwards. The skin feels – as promised- supple and nice and nourished and up to this point I cannot  find anything negative about it.

Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack

The Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack fullfilled my expectations in every point. I think that this is a good quality wash-off maks with a delicious scent and this might be the only downside for some people who do not like scented products. I was surprised to read that the yoghurt was fermented, because I didn’t know that before, and as a lover of fermented products I’m happy to have chosen this wash off pack. It will definitely stay in my collection and be used up to its end. The Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Pack retails for 18.47 US$ from Global Interpark.

Review: Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack | Pink Bird Box April 2016

16. May 2016

// PR SAMPLE / KBEAUTY / SKINCARE //

The April Etude House Pink Bird had its focus on skincare! The topic of the pink bird box are the new Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack and I’m really happy to get the chance to introduce all three versions of it to you! And one important note at the beginning: these sleeping packs are not edible, despite the cute and very original packaging! Sorry, for the image-heavy post in advance!

Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack

Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack

It is nice to see another issue of the Etude magazine in this pink bird box, which reminds me that I wanted to scan this and the previous issue for you guys to read, as well! Please keep reminding me about it :D

Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack

Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack

All in all, there are three versions of the Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack by Etude House available, which were all included in the pink bird box. The three different sleeping masks do not only differ in their color and scent, but also in their properties.

Their main purpose is to moisturize your skin while you are sleeping. Etude House uses the term “Beauty Tea Time” for it. The three versions of the sleeping pack are Green Tea, Black Tea, and Strawberry.

Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack

No doubt, the packaging is as expected from Etude House: girly and cute with some pretty illustrations and lively colors. The cardboard packaging each sleeping pack comes in contains English and Korean descriptions and ingredients lists. The green tea sleeping mask targets to make the skin clear and clean, the black tea sleeping masks makes the skin glow and plump, and the strawberry sleeping mask delivers healthy and dewy skin.

The ingredients are also listed on the official Etude House page >>here<< or on COSDNA >>here<<. Inside the cardboard box you will find a cup shaped container and a spatula which looks exactly like the bubble tea and straws you get in stores. At the bottom of the container you can spot the bubbles and all in all it looks more than appetizing! Don’t they look adorable?!

In order to use the sleeping masks you take out some of the cream gel and 1-2 bubbles from the bottom of the cup and put it on your palm, where you can now mix the two components together. You can also use the gel on it’s own, but the bubbles are the magical ingredient for the moisturizing effect. You apply the mixture on your face and leave it overnight. The next morning you can simply wash your face with lukewarm water and you are ready to go on with your daytime routine. I usually do not use any cleansers in the morning when I used a sleeping mask or did a good cleansing in the evening. I just wash my face with plain water.

Each type of the three Sleeping Pack has its own color and also the gel has a fitting color.

The Black Tea Sleeping Pack has a light brown color of the gel type pack. It has a light black tea scent mixed  some typical Etude House fragnance. The scent is not overly heavy though.

The Green Tea Sleeping Pack has a light green color of the gel type pack. It has a light green tea scent mixed  some typical Etude House fragrance, and is my favorite of the three masks.

The Strawberry Sleeping Pack has a light pink color of the gel type pack. It has a light strawberry scent mixed  some typical Etude House fragrance. The pink color and the strawberry illustrations makes it probably the cutest of the three sleeping packs. You can see how the three products look like when taken out of their containers. The gel spreads quite easily, and the bubbles have a squeezy gel texture and dissolve and can be spreaded into the gel texture by rubbing.

Of course, it has not been enough to check the long-term effects of all three of these beautiful Sleeping Pack. Regarding the scent I love the green tea version most. All of them promise to moisturize the skin over night, which they do. The packaging is more than adorable, my only worry might be, that the ration of the bubbles to the cream will be not enough to mix both parts together until the pack finishes. But we will see how events will turn out occasionally. You can buy the Sleeping Packs from the official Etude House store for 13.20US$. There is also a set of all three available for 27.72US$.

Review: Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner

11. May 2016

With my discovery of Asian beauty I started to know and love pen eyeliner. They are so easy and convenient to use and they make your makeup routine much more quickly than using a gel or liquid eyeliner and still are comparably pigmented. I usually tend to use up my eyeliner pens before I buy any new ones so I just tried some of the available ones, like the Kiss Me Heroine Make Liquid Eyeliner Pen and the Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner Pen. Thanks to BBCOSMETIC I’m now able to try the famous Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner.

Clio_KillBlackPenLiner_1

Club Clio Professional was founded by makeup artists in 1993 and they opened their first flagship in Seoul in 1998. They carry brands like Peripera and Goodal and the brand Clio of course. To be honest I did not try many of their products until now. except for the Clio Lipniqure (see my comparison review for the Clio and the RiRe Lip prducts)!

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner

The Clio Kill Black Pen liner has been reviewed and liked by many other bloggers already and I’m sure that you will find more than one review for it when browsing the world wide web. Yet, keep in mind that there is also a Brush Liner available that looks similar but differs in the tip of the eyeliner. I didn’t try it though so I’m not able to compare them. The described pen liner in my post here though has been awarded the SokoGlam Awards and its description sounds really promising:

“A new and improved formula with an airtight locked cap makes the Clio waterproof pen liner unbeatable! No flaking, no smudging—this is liquid eyeliner revolutionized. The brush pen applicator tip allows for effortless dramatic winged eyeliner or barely-there, precise lines that will last all day and all night. And when you’re done? The Clio Waterproof Pen Liner is easy to remove with oil cleanser or makeup remover.”

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner

No smudging, no flaking and long lasting pigmentation?! I’m in!! I have slightly hooded eyelids so I usually have the problem that my eyeliner if a bit bolder transfers to my eyelid, especially in the mornings when the makeup is still fresh and not tried completelly. So far I didn’t discover any eyeliner that didn’t smudge…

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner

The Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner comes in a characteristic black and Yellow cardboard Box reminding me of “Kill Bill”. Inside the cardboard box you will find the pen liner. The eyeliner has a felt pen tip which is fine enough to draw thin lines but also allows bold eyeliner. The color is black and pigmented, too. It applies nicely on the eyes and allows building up the pigmentation with several strokes without flaking. So far so good, but what about the claim of being rub and waterproof? Honestly speaking I do not think that this eyeliner is waterproof. I could easily remove the swatches from my hand by rubbing (made it fade) and washing it with water only. The stain that remained was not really much of a deal anymore. Wearing it during the day turns out better still. The color only fades slightly, but usually my wings have disappeared completely. Also, like almost all other eyeliners, this eyeliner keeps transferring to my upper eyelid…:/

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner

Compared to the other pen liner I tested this one comes before the Dolly Wink Pen Liner but still doesn’t compete with any waterproof liquid liner oder gel liner. The Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner is on the same rank as the Kiss Me Heroine Make Liquid Pen Liner for me. I received this eyeliner from BBCOSMETIC, but it is out of stock at the moment there. Still you might want t tske a look at this newly opened kbeauty store. You can use the code Q2C8JX9N45R3O for a chance of 10 % off your order, too! You can also get the Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner on amazon.de or amazon.com.
