Review: Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint

17. July 2014

Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint is one of my discoveries I received in MeMeBox Global 11 previously. I didn’t know the brand Witch’s Pouch before, but it is a Korean brand and the appearance of the sample product which I received convinced me to like the brand directly. While using it, my first impression even grew stronger and I can assure you, that this is a very nice lip tint and worth a try.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_2

The sample sized tint comes in a pink packaging, displaying a witch’s hat, which refers to the brand name, as you can guess. On the back side it contains the Korean describtion and the information on the brand’s web page. there are three different shades available. This one is called “Funky Bloom” and it is shade No. 3.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_3

Inside the packaging you’ll fin a tiny version of the tint. It is one my favourite and most travel-friendly sized tints :D

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_4

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_5

The tint comes with a straight applicator. The tint itself is a milk-type tint and glides smoothly on the lips. Thereby, the applicator is convenient to use.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_6

The color is a nice pink shade. It smells of grapefruit and the scent reminds me of “Fanta Pink Grapefruit” drink, if you know it by any chance XD. After I swatched it on my hand and washed my hands afterwards a noticeable stain was left behind, so the staying power is nice, too :) The tint gives the lips a sublte pink color and it also shows up on my darker lips.

WhichsPouch_RadiantLolliTint_1

According to MeMeBox, this tint in it’s fullsize costs 14 US$. I didn’t find were to buy it yet, but if you live in Korea it might be easier to find. Also, take a look at their webpage in that case. I think the price is pretty reasonable, sice the quality of the tint is nice, too :) If you get a chance to try it, I can reccomend it to you :) Anybody else knowing the brand Witch’s Pouch? What products do you know and have you tried?

Review: Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion No.21

15. July 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

This is a review of a cushion sample of Laneige’s Snow BB Soothing Cushion. I was wondering previously what would be the best way to present a sample for a cushion bb and I guess that this is the answer :D This sample comes with a tiny version of a cushion and a small puff and it is the most original sample I tried until now. It even comes in a little cardboard box and looks like a shrinked full-size product. Very elegant :)

laneige_soothingcushion_1

Laneige is a Korean brand, part of the Amore Pacific Group. The brand name comes from the french word for snow which is “la neige”. The brand name reflects the beauty of young women between 24 and 32 years by focusing on water as source of life. Therefore the products design is more mature and clean, reflecting the image of moisture obtained through water. Laneige was also the first brand releasing a cushion type product, which is the here described Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion. It is designed to be a 5 in 1 product and claims therefore to have whitening properties, sun protection, soothing effect, sweat-proof and long lasting. The BB cream has SPF 50 +/PA+++ and this blocks UV rays and sunlight and protects your skin from damage.

laneige_soothingcushion_2 laneige_soothingcushion_3

This cushion comes in 5 different shades: true beige (No.13), natural beige (No.21), sand beige (No.23) and brown beige (No. 31). The key ingredients are bead tree, Korean thistle and natto. Bead tree helps brightening dull skin. The extracts of Korean thistle, Sylimarins, block the melanin generation. Natto contains gamma PGA which serves as whitening booster through moisturization. The other ingredients are listed in COSDNA. Most of the are greenflagged, but there are some acne triggers, so if you have sensitive skin, keep in mind to test it first.

laneige_soothingcushion_4

As I said, this is a sample of the cushion and it comes in a tiny plastic jar. Inside the jar is a cushion with the BB cream and a puff for application. It is quite cute and moreover very perfect if you carry a small purse :D I mean, the compact full-sized product is already travel friendly, since it comes with a mirror, too. On the bottom of the plastic jar you’ll find the production date (keep in mind that this is not an expiration date) and the symbol for how long it is good after opening (it says 12 months here). The sample contains 4 g of product and I could use it for more than a week.

laneige_soothingcushion_6 laneige_soothingcushion_5

The swatch on my wrist looks a bit to dark for my skin, but on my face it blends in nicely and is a good match for my natural skin tone. The finish is very natural and semi-matte. The scent of the Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion appeared herbal to me. It wasn’t unpleasant, though. While application with the sponge a light cooling, refreshing feeling is noticeable, too. On the bottom you’ll find a picture of my face with and without the BB cream. You can see how it covers up nicely any rednesses and evens out the skin tone.

laneige_soothingcushion_7

I have the slight feeling that this cushion BB can be too dry for already dry skin. In the evening the BB cream had flaked around my nose and chin. But this can be improved by wearing a primer. I usually wear The Face Shop Primer before. Nevertheless, the finish is very natural and beautiful. I think this is the biggest advantage of all the cushion products, because you use a puff for application and in this way the excess BB cream is taken up by the puff again. For those worried about the hygiene: the puff is washable, but you have to be carefull not to squeeze it. :)

Laneige’s Cushion BB creams cost between 30 and 40 US$. You can find the Snow BB Soothing Cushion on ebay and the newer versions called Whitening and Pore Control at W2Beauty. If you use my affiliate link or enter the code 088505 in the registration form you’ll receive a 5 US$ voucher, which can be used immediately for purchases over 30 US$. I’d love to try the other cushions from Laneige, too :) Anybody tried these, too? what are your impressions?

Unboxing: MeMeBox Oriental Medicine

10. July 2014

I was so excited about the MeMeBox Oriental Medicine since the moment I ordered it! There is always a kind of fascination about products containing oriental herbs, because they work really great in a sometimes magical way. MeMeBox describes this box a “key to youth” which makes it even more promising. Here is what I received in my newest MeMeBox:

memebox_oriental_1

MeMeBox is a box service company, offering a wide amount of different beauty boxes. Unlike most western beauty boxes which have to be subscribed for on a monthly basis, MeMeBoxes can be preordered but that doesn’t force you to buy more than the desired box. They ship to many countries and the products they send in their boxes are mainly Korean. Apart from their monthly Global Boxes like the ones I reviewed previously (check out the links at the end of the post), they also have a huge amount of themed boxes, Mini Boxes, Boxes where you know what is inside, so called Superboxes with a higher value and so on…just check out their online store and you’ll find a huge selection of different boxes. Since they have become very popular within the blogger community they sell out pretty fast, but they bring up new beauty boxes so fast, that you cannot keep up with them anyways.

The MeMeBox Oriental Medicine is described the following way:

“A favorite beauty regimen among Queens in ancient Korea, oriental medicines were used to revitalize and balance exhausted skin, giving them a beautiful and enchanting glow. Designed to improve softness, luster and elasticity, the mystical properties of oriental medicinal extracts leaves skin looking healthy and youthful. Great for all skin types including sensitive skin, oriental medicinal extracts improve the skin’s functions of regeneration, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation and moisturization.”

Every box contains an overview card with the products and a description for the products. It is in English, which is great, especaially when the product packaging is only in Korean.

memebox_oriental_2

All in all we have 6 products: 2 of them are sheet masks, 3 are fullsized products and one is a deluxe sample kit. A great content for the tiny box as I must admit. :) Let’s see what each product is about:

1. Shib Jang Ceng Chun Ji Heang Hands Cream – 80 ml for US$17 (fullsized product)

This is a huge tube of hand cream with a nice scent. It feels nice and moisturizing on my first try and I will definitively use this up. It contains gingseng extract, shea butter and olive oil and is described as highly moisturizing. My first quick test was positive. :)

2. Purederm Korean Herb Mask – 19 ml*2 for US$2 (fullsized product)

4 different masks were available. I received the moisturizing mask called “Soo-an” and the brightening mask called “Myung-an”. The other masks were a refining mask and a hydrating masks, although I don’t know what the difference between the moisturizing and the hydrating mask will be. I didn’t try these yet (thanks to MeMeBox my decreased pile of sheet masks is growing again), but I really do like the packaging design. It looks very beautiful ♥

3. D’RAN Wonder Serum – 30 ml for US$30 (fullsized product)

I’m really looking forward to try this. It is said that it is made from 20 different Korean medical herbs like ginseng, black hoof mushrooms, licorice, portulaca and granoderma…It claims to give your face a deep nourishment and glowing complexion. Since I don’t have a serum in my skincare routine at the moment, I will add it. I hope it will make me look like a baby again, haha ;) In the direction it is written to use it before toner application. I would advice you to use it after toner, especially if you use a cotton pad for toner application. Otherwise you’ll wipe the serum off again.

4. Donginbi Donginbidam Red Gingseng Aqua Oil & Red Ginseng Aqua Pack Essence – 50 ml*2 for US$90/180 (deluxe sample with 5 ml*2)

Another product I’m really curious to try are these two. MeMeBox says that Donginbi is a super exclusive Korean department store brand. These contain red ginseng extract as main ingredient, which is known for it’s beauty-promoting properties. I will soon start trying these :)

5. Hanhui CC Cream – 50 ml for US$30 (fullsized product)

The last product is this beautiful CC cream containing ginseng extract, cactus extract and galactomyces fermented extracts. I will surely write a review on this one. I love trying new CC or BB creams.♥

memebox_oriental_3

In total I received a great box today. All the products are useful and interesting and the packaging of the products is beautiful, too. I cannot wait to try these on their efficiency :) Did anyone else order this box? How is your impression?

If you are curious about MeMeBox and their products, aswell as their enourmous selection of different beautyboxes check out their page >>here<<. Review: Clio Lipnicure versus RiRe Lipmanicure

9. July 2014

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

This will be a comparison between the highly raved Clio Lipnicure versus RiRe Lipmanicure, a rather unknown korean brand producing obviously a dupe for Clio’s product. Probably some of you were in the same situation like I was: in the past months I read over and over about a new lip product from Clio called Lipnicure. It promised to be very long lasting – I mean VERY long lasting! People were even complaining that it was too hard to remove afterwards. As a lipstick lover, especially for red shades, this got my attention, since I’m looking for a long lasting red lip product for ages. Finally, I bought Clio’s Lipnicure…to make a long story short: It didn’t convince me because it didn’t last long on my lips at all, instead it flaked off in chunks and tiny bits of dried lipstick. A while ago I heared about a dupe for Clio’s Lipnicure from the brand RiRe. Since I was so dissapointed about the one from Clio, I ordered a similar color from RiRe’s Lipmanicure in order to compare the two products. Read more about my thoughts:

Clio_vs_RiRe_1

Let’s start of with the packaging: both products come in a black colored cardboard box, even the font is placed similar and has a similar look. The packaging of the RiRe Lipmanicure is smaller than the one of Clio’s Lipnicure. I bought color No.7 from Clio Lipnicure called “tension red”.  10 shades are available in total here. From RiRe Lipmanicure I bought shade No. 5 called “muse red”. RiRe offers 7 different shades.

Clio_vs_RiRe_2

If we have a closer look at the packaging, we see that Clio’s cardboard box contains Korean and English description whereas RiRe’s cardboard box only is described in Korean.

Clio_vs_RiRe_3

The lip product itself comes in a bottle consisting of a black plastic cap and a clear body where the color of the product is visible. Here we have some differences in the design of the bottles. First, RiRe’s Lipmanicure bottle is smaller. It contains 3.7 g, Clio’s Lipnicure contains 4.7 g. RiRe ‘s Lipmanicure bottle has a rounded shape with a pointed cap, Clio’s Lipnicure looks like a regular nail polish bottle.  Although, I personally like the shape of the RiRe Lipmanicure more, I must point out, that the plastic of Clio’s Lipnicure feels sturdier. Also, the cap has a click-mechanism to close the cap tightly, which RiRe doesn’t offer.

Clio_vs_RiRe_4

Clio_vs_RiRe_5

Clio_vs_RiRe_6

Due to the design and shape of the bottles, the applicator of RiRe’s Lipmanicure is shorter than in Clio’s Lipnicure. It has a flat applicator, in contrast to Clio’s doe foot applicator, which is curved. I preferr the straight applicator over the curved one, but this is something which depends on personal preference.

Clio_vs_RiRe_7 Clio_vs_RiRe_8

The color of both products is the same. I see no differences, especially after they dried. In the bottle the RiRe Lipmanicure looks a bit more orange than Clio’s “tension red”, but if you look at the swatches below, there is no real difference. One great difference is the scent of the two products: Clio’s Lipnicure has a light perfumed scent, it smells nice and doesn’t bother. RiRe’s Lipmanicure has a strong chemical scent, which fades away luckily, but is not nice at all. Both products have a matte finish after drying, so be aware that cracked or flaky lips are a no-go here. It is recommended to use a lip scrub before using these products.  Both products are waterproof and transfer proof. They only get removed after using a makeup cleanser. Soap works, too, but takes longer :D Below you will see the swatches after I rubbed and washed my skin with a lot of warm water. As you can see, rubbing is a bit of an issue:

Clio_vs_RiRe_9

On the left swatch, you see, that Clio’s Lipnicure faded off in flakes. The RiRe Lipmanicure faded, too, but leaves a smear instead of flaking. So, basically, this is my main problem with Clio’s Lipnicure. If you use a red lipstick and is starts to flake of, you will be left with a red trace around your lips, like you are wearing only a lipliner around the mouth which is absolutely ugly. Here, RiRe does a better job, since it still leaves some stain, so you’ll have time to touch up before looking like a mess. Below, I did a little demonstration: I applied Clio’s Lipnicure on the left side and RiRe’s Lipmanicure on the right side. I drank and ate some little snacks and after 2 hours maximum I had the result which is shown in the third pannel.

Clio_vs_RiRe_10

You might argue, that it’s the fault of fatty food, but I can assure you, that I had the same effect with Clio’s lipnicure after 2 hours without eating or drinking. I applied the lipproduct before I went to work and when I arrived there, nearly all of it already was faded or I had some flaky bits all over my lips. I don’t know, if it is my lips, or if I have a strange batch of the product, but having the direct comparison between Clio’s Lipnicure and RiRe’s Lipmanicure in this intense shade (!) I have to say, that RiRe’s products fades away much nicer than Clio’s.

All in all, my personal favourite so far is RiRe’s Lipmanicure in “muse red”. I point out that I only tried this intense red shade for both products, thus it may be, that the lighter colors are different in their features. RiRe Lipmanicure is cheaper than Clio’s Lipnicure, which is reflected in the quality of the packaging, but the design of the tiny bottles is cuter than the design of Clio’s Lipnicure bottles. Also the chemical scent is a contra for RiRe, but if you don’t have a problem with scent and you want to try out this type of lip product, it is definitively the better choice. Clio’s Lipmanicure contains a bit more product, has a nice scent and a high quality packaging on the other hand, but performs poorly.

You can buy Clio’s Lipnicure at W2Beauty for US$ 18.89.

You can buy RiRe’s Lipmanicure here for US$ 7.69.

You did try RiRe’s Lipmanicure? What’s your experience with Clio’s Lipnicure? Do you have any favourite shades? Leave a comment if you like :)

Review: My Beauty Diary Bird’s Nest Mask

8. July 2014
My Beauty Diary Bird's Nest Mask

This is my favourite sheet mask so far: My Beauty Diary Bird’s Nest Mask! It took me quite some time to review it, because I’m always a bit lazy when it comes to sheet mask reviews, but here it is finally :) If you are a sheet mask lover you should definitively try out this mask and if you’d like to know my opinion about it, please continue reading my short review :)

My Beauty Diary Bird's Nest Mask

My Beauty Diary is a well known Tawainese brand. Their sheet masks are amongst the most popular sheet masks, since they are effective and cheap in comparison to other brands. On their products site you can find detailled descriptions to each of their masks (in English!). The Bird’s Nest Mask is supposed to nourish, brighten, moisturize and firm the skin. Bird’s Nest Mask?! Yeah, that’s right. It is exactly what you think. So why use such an ingredient at all? Bird’s nest acid essence (Neuraminic Acid) promotes the production of Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid and thus contributes to hydration and elasticity of the skin. Apart from this, the mask contains a couple of other ingredients. All the ingredients are green or yellow flagged according to COSDNA except for the pH adjuster Triethanol Amine. If you know that you had previously bad experience with this ingredient, be sure to make a test on your arms either or skip this mask at all.

My Beauty Diary Bird's Nest Mask

While using this mask I discovered that the cotton sheet is soaked nicely with the essence, but isn’t dripping wet at all. This makes the application easy and less messy. It gives your skin a cooling and refreeshing effect while wearing and you can feel the moisture provided. After leaving it on for 20-30 minutes it starts to absorb into the skin. As soon as it is absorbed fully it does not feel sticky at all. Moreover, it doesn’t leave a film or looks greasy. But the best part of this mask is the touch of my skin, wich feels soft like silk. I think, this is the first mask were I also experienced a direct “wow” effect after one usage. I couldn’t stop touching my face afterwards *_* All in all, this is a great mask and absolutely recommendable! You can buy this mask from ebay for around 14 US$ per 10 pieces.

Review: Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

5. July 2014
Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Here is another product review from Holika Holika. This time I’m showing you Holika Holika’s Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I reviewed previously the Holika Holika Jewellight Pencil Eyeliner, and like this, the Jewellight Liquid Eyeliner contain shimmering particles. I usually preferr liquid eyeliner over pencil type eyeliner, so I was curious how this eyeliner would perform, esoecially since I never tried a liquid eyeliner from Holika Holika.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Holika Holika is a korean brand with a magic like brand image. The products are designed to look pretty, and magical in their way. The Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has a simple, but girly design, with some ornament lines looking like jeweles or stars. There are 5 different shades available. I’m reviewing color 01 called black gem. The other colors available are brown, olive, purple and pink.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

The Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners claim to be pigmented and shimmering, moreover they are waterproof andare supposed to hold up against sweat, sebum and humidity. The cap of the eyeliner includes a brush with a fine tip.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

The consistency of the liquid eyeliner is a bit watery. You have to shake it well, otherwise the pigmentation is weak. I expected the color to be blacker honestly. Also the glitter particles don’t spread evenly and when dried up, they can be the cause of cracking. Other than that the eyeliner is waterproof. It is also rubb proof as long as you don’t use water and rubbing together. In that case the eyeliner comes of in chunky bits.

Holika Holika Jewellight Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

All in all, if you like lighter eyeliners and you like glitter particles, you might like this product. If you preferr more pigmented eyeliners like I do, you won’t be statisfied here. I have to point out that the advantage of these liquid eyeliners from Holika Holika is, that they are really waterproof. It is also easy to remove the eyeliner simply by combining rubbing and water together. These eyeliners are cheap, too. They cost around 9 US$ from testerkorea.

Review: Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit

3. July 2014

// KBEAUTY / SKINCARE / AFFILIATE LINKS //

I received this Innisfree’s Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit a while back during a giveaway and I was very happy about it. Innisfree’s Green Tea line is often talked about within the blogger communitiy and since green tea is a very beneficial ingredient I was especially curious how this would work, especially as a mini version of the complete skincare line, including toner, emulsion, cream, essence and sleeping pack. These kits are always a great way to test a special line if it works with your skin or doesn’t. Here is my impression on these products:

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 1

Innisfree is an eco-friendly korean skincare and makeup brand focusing on natural ingredients and recycle packaging. The design of their products is simply and neat and nicely reflects the ideology of the brand. The Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit is a 4-free product, that means that it is free of 4 commonly used ingredients, which are not beneficial, most likely parabens, etc. I couldn’t find any english ingredients list, so I don’t have the exact information for you, unfortunately.

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 2

Nevertheless, the key ingredient in this line is Jeju Green Tea. On Innisfree’s official web page you’ll find the following description:

“Green Tea Pure Line with the clean and clear moisture of 100% Jeju Organic Green Tea Water: The vitality and condensed moisture of green tea grown on the organic green tea field of the pure island of Jeju, refine the skin for clarity and suppleness.”

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 3

As I stated above, the kit constists of the Innisfree Green Tea Pure Skin (toner), Innisfree Green Tea Pure lotion (emulsion), Innisfree Green Tea Pure Cream, Innisfree Green Tea Pure Sleeping Pack and Innisfree Green Tea Pure Seed Serum. I used the items for my daily routine as this: toner, emulsion, cream. During my night routine I used: toner, serum, emulsion, sleeping pack. Of course it depends on your skintype how your routine works best. It may be, that cream and emulsion are to much for oily skin for example. My skin is rather dry, so I used emulsion and cream together.

Let’s start with the toner and the emulsion.

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 5

These two items come in two miniature plastic bottles, as do also the full size products. The plastic appears sturdy. The Innisfree Green Tea Pure Skin is a gel-type clear toner. It contains tiny particles which disolve while applying onto the skin. This makes it feel grainy during the application first. But the toner absorbs quickly and since the grains dissolve the only thing which lingers is the scent of green-tea mixed with some fruity/flowery scent. It is a nice scent, but if you don’t like scents at all, I wouldn’t recommend you this line at all. In principle all the products have this scent.

The Innisfree Green Tea Pure Lotion is a milky emulsion, which absorbs really fast into the skin. It is not sticky and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. The skin feels instantly smooth and firmer. It has the same scent as the toner.

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Cream:

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 6

The Innisfree Green Tea Pure Cream also contains some grains, but in contrast to the grains in the toner, you don’t feel these on your skin. This cream is a good moisturizer and feels very refreshing. In contrast to the emulsion, the cream takes a bit more to absorb, but once it is absorbed, it isn’t sticky either. The cream gives you really that glow you get after being well moisturized. The deluxe sample comes in a mini jar, which is really nice.

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Seed Serum

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 4

The Green Tea Pure Seed Serum is a geltype serum, which is lightly milky. The consistency is thicker than of the toner. After it absorbs it is not sticky at all. It feels like adding some moisture, but not a lot (so this might be good for combination/oily skin?). Again, it has the same green-tea scent of the other products. The set included 6 of these ampoules. Each ampoule was for one usage only. The other products of the kit are more often usable, so it would have been nice, if the set included also more of these serum ampoules. The fullsize product comes in a pump bottle.

The last product is the Innisfree Green Tea Pure Sleeping Pack

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Deluxe Kit 7

The sleeping pack in this kit comes in a tube (the fullsize product comes in a jar). Also here, we have tiny beads. The beads dissolve while massaging the pack into your skin. The sleeping pack doesn’t absorb quickly, but it takes some time, but since you put it on before sleeping it doesn’t matter after all. The skin feels a bit sticky, too, but this is also a minor problem for a sleeping mask. On the next day the skin feels soft and refreshed. Also here, I really like the green tea scent, especially before going to bed. It is so relaxing.

My total impression about Innisfree Green Tea Pure Line is quite positive. My favourite products are the sleeping pack and surprisingly the emulsion. I’m rarely using emulsion during my skincare routine, only if I’m testing a specific skincare line as a whole like now. This emulsion made my skin so soft and firm, I really enjoyed using it ♥ The scent is also nice if you like green-tea scents. That’s why I like the sleeping pack aswell. It is so relaxing to use. Most important, none of the products gave me any breakouts or irritations :)

Also, Innisfree refreshed their Green Tea Line. The line is now divided into Green Tea Fresh (oily skin), Green Tea Balancing (normal/combination skin) and Green Tea Moisture (dry skin), which is a good idea. I think the former line will resemble most likely the  new balancing line. I would suggest you to browse through W2Beauty for all the products

Unboxing: MeMeBox Scentbox Bundle

2. July 2014

Two days ago a huge box arrives at my doorstep and I was completely surprised what this heavy box might be, when I discovered that it was a set of the three scentboxes by MeMeBox. There were three MeMeBox Scentboxes available, each dedicated to a specific scent topic, and if you bought two of them, you received a third one for free. Again a superb deal by MeMeBox I couldn’t resist :D

MeMeBox Scentbox Bundle

The three scentboxes were themed Rose, Babypowder and Grapefruit Scentbox. At first I only wanted to buy the rose scent box, because I really love rose scented products, but then I was kind of undecided, because the babypowder scent box was appealing, too…and in the deal they offered I would get the grapefruitbox on top. So I finally ended up buying the whole set for 30 US$ (each of the boxes cost 15 US$).

Let’s start with the MeMeBox Rose Scentbox:

MeMeBox Scentbox Bundle

MeMeBox Scentbox Bundle

Evas Rosemine Plumpy Tint 01 Roseberry (13 g for US$11- box contained fullsize product)

A jelly-type lip tint in cherry red. The scent is very faint, but the packaging: OMG! Both Rose Mine products have such a girly beautifull packaging, I’m in love! the tint itself can be used on cheeks and lips, but it has to be blended in quickly, because it dries fast. It also leaves a good stain on your finger if you use them from blending or applying XD

Evas Rosemine Floral Remedy Foamy Cleanser  (120 ml for US$22- box contained fullsize product)

Again, I love the packaging! ♥ And this is a nice partner for my Sum 37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick (I will do a review soon). This is a foamy cleanser which contains also rose petals. The scent is not overpowering but nice.

Happy Bath Rose Essence Body Wash (200 g for US$11- box contained fullsize product)

I didn’t use it yet, but it smells divine for lovers of rose scented products *_*

Hope Girl Magic Skin Primer  (35 g for US$33- box contained 2 ml*5ea samples)

Such a pity that there was no full size of this! I love it! It smells super nice (the scent is stronger than of the rose mine products) and it is a nice primer, giving a satin smooth skin.

Second is the MeMeBox Babypowder Scentbox:

Eva’s Mimi Lauryn’s Perfume Soap French Blossom (100 g for US$18- box contained fullsize product)

I’m a solid soap hoarder. I’ve so many of them and I’m too slow in using them. I should start to change something about it XD The scent is really nice of this soap, but I didn’t unpack it yet. The packaging is also too beautiful to throw away ;_;

Urban Lailly 7 Seconds Make-Up Booster (50 g for US$40- box contained fullsize product)

I was excited about this item. It is a light blue colored priming cream, providing moisture and a more even skintone. I applied it on my hand and the feeling reminds me of Secret Key’s Snow White Cream.

Happy Fam Deo Fresh Baby Powder (20ea for US$2- box contained fullsize product)

These are Deodorant wipes for your armpits. Great for putting in a handbag or at work or travellling. A nice idea :) Didn’t try it yet.

Consensis fabric deodorizer (330 ml for US$7 – box contained deluxe sample)

A fabric deodorizing spay. I don’t have anything like that, so I’m happy about it :)

MeMeBox Scentbox Bundle

And last but not least the MeMebox Grapefruit Scentbox:

Eva’s Mimi Lauryn’s Dress Perfume Mist de Grapefruit (150 ml for US$18 – box contained fullsize product)

Another fabric, room and car spray with a fresh fruity scent. I like the etiquette of the spray bottle with its floral design.

Kaell28 Sunkilling Grapefruit Gel (270 ml for US$30- box contained fullsize product)

A multipurpose soothing gel. I love multipurpose gels and this one will replace my Etude House Aloe Soothing Gel as soon as it is empty. A pitty that it does not come with a pump though. Didn’t try it yet.

Happy Fam Deo Fresh Grapefruit (20ea for US$2- box contained fullsize product)

These are Deodorant wipes for your armpits. Great for putting in a handbag or at work or traveling. A nice idea :) Didn’t try it yet.

Sun Smile Hydro Gel Choosy Fruit Lip Mask (3 ml x 2ea for US$2- box contained fullsize product)

Finally, I can try a lip mask! :D I’m happy about this product and super curious to try it :)

MeMeBox Scentbox Bundle

All in all, I’m very happy with the boxes. The products are nice and they didn’t send a hand cream at all, which was my first thought when I was thinking of scented products. I have one or two favorite products in each box, but the one I love most is the Rose Scentbox ♥ Which one do you like most?

Review: Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion

30. June 2014

A while ago I baught some Japanese skincare and beauty products, but I never found the time to edit the pictures I had taken. Finally, I managed to write the review on Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion :) This is a basic toner, from Shiseido’s drug store brand Hada Senka.

Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion

First of all, as I said, Hada Senka is a drugstore brand from Shiseido. The product range is not expansive and directed towards younger people, since it is a basic skincare line. Also, since it is a japanese brand they use slightly other terms than korean brands do. This product is called a “lotion”, but that doesn’t mean that we have a liquid form of cream here, but it is the equivilant to korean toner or sometimes also called “skin”. That means, that the lotion is used as first step of the skincare routine, after cleansing. This product is also available in two forms, a light version and a heavy version and you can differentiate them according to the color of the cap (pink for the heavy version and white for the light version). I’m showing you the heavy version for dry skin.

Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion

I bought this as a promotional kit, which is why it came with travel size samples of the Hada Senka Perfect Whip and the Perfect Watery Oil. Also, the set contained samples of the Hada Senka Milk, which is the emulsion from this skincare line. The description of the product is unfortunately only in Japanese. You can find the ingredients listed on COSDNA, too. The key ingredients for moisturization are hyaluronic acid and royal jelly extract. This is also the main reason I wanted to buy this moisturizing toner, because I love the effect of skincare products with hyaluronic acid, since it provides the skin with moisture. The ingredients are safe to use according to COSDNA, but if you have very sensitive skin be aware that this toner contains alcohol.

Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion

The tones comes in a hard plastic bottle, which appears sturdy. It is milky plastic, so you can see how much is left inside the bottle if you see through it against the light. The bottle comes with a simple cap with a small hole for dispensing, but the application works nice and it is not difficult to get the product out of the bottle. The packaging is not very special, I would rather say the packaging is super boring, but it shows the simplicity of the product. Since shiseido Hada Senka is a cheaper branch of Shiseido I can live with the boring packaging on the other hand.

Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion

As I said, this is a moisturizing toner containing hyaluronic acid. It does exactly what it claims to do and provides the skin with moisture. The toner is  geltype, so it is not completelly liquid. It has a light alcoholic scent when you pour it out, but the scent dissapears quickly and leaves a scentless product. The lotion absorbs quickly and is not sticky after absorbing. The skin feels soft after apllication. I like this toner a lot. I especially liked to put a few drops of the O.S.T Vitamin C serum in my palm and mix it with the toner. This worked very well! Moreover, this toner has a PH of 5, which makes it work gerat together with active ingredients like vitamin C or BHA/AHAs.

Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion

Overall, the Shiseido Hada Senka Hoshitsu Lotion is a solid basic lotion with a good pH (weak acidity). It works good with skincare routines containing actives, too! Unfortunatelly, it contains alcohol, so if you have sensitive skin make a patch test before. I bought the promotional kit at Adamsbeauty and it is still available. It costs around 10 US$, which is quite cheap for a japanese product. The great thing is, that there are refills available which makes it very environmental friendly, too. I can totally recommend you to give this affordable product a try!

Review: Laneige Waterbank Eye Gel

28. June 2014

Today’s review will be on Laneige’s Waterbank Eye Gel, a gel type eyecream claiming to be extra moisturizing. Laneige has a whole skincare line named “Waterbank” for moisturizing skin. I had a couple of samples for this cream and here is the impression this eye cream left to me.

Laneige_WaterbankEyeGel_1

The main color of this line is blue, therefore the fullsize product comes in a blue colored jar. The fullsize contains a spatula, too, in order to be able to leave the product in the jar as hygienic as possible. I don’t know how much product is contained in each sample sachet but each sachet had enough eye cream to be used a couple of days, since you only need a tiny bit for the skin around your eyes.

Laneige_WaterbankEyeGel_3

This eyecream claims to be moisturizing and also vitalizing. The ingredients list is quite long, but most of them are green flaged according to COSDNA. The sample sachet contained ingredients in English, and also the directions were in English, which is great.

Laneige_WaterbankEyeGel_2

As to the consistency of the eye cream: it is a milky gel type cream, which reminds of a balm. Also the feeling of the gel is more like a balm, than a gel/cream. As soon as it is worked into the skin, it feels like turning into water. It feels moisturizing and refreshing on the same time, while absorbing fast into the skin. Also the moisturizing effect stays for the whole day. I had the feeling my eye area was still hydrated at the end of the day, when I applied the cream in the morning ♥  The scent is the typical scent you might know from Laneige. It is fresh and soapy, without being to strong and irritating.

Laneige_WaterbankEyeGel_4

All in all, I didn’t expect this cream to be such a good moisturizer, but it is! I love the effect and how the effect is still noticeable at the end of the day. If you are looking for a really good moisturizing eye cream, then I would recommend you to buy Laneige Waterbank Eye Gel. The only downside is, that it is a bit expensive, since it is from Laneige. But since one does not need a lot of eyecream per day, I think that the fullsize jar will go a long way until it is empty. I’m seriously thinking of buying the jar as soon as I have finished my other opened eyecreams. You can buy Laneige Waterbank Eye Gel at ebay for around 40 US$.
