Review: Missha Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Cream and Gel Serum

9. January 2014
As I told before, I’m trying to get rid of all the samples I collected and I discovered that I had a huge pile of Missha Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Cream and Gel Serum Samples. I used them all last year and now here is my review for them finally :D

Some of you might already know, but I have to mention that I have dry skin, especially in winter like now. I’m always looking for good moisturizing creams and one of my favourite moisturizers is Missha’s Super Aqua Ultra Marine Stem Cell Defending Cream, which was one of my first reviews on this blog :D I had high hopes for this Cream from Missha’s Super Aqua line and I was not disappointed.

I’ll start of with the cream: This cream comes in a jar in full size and looks elegant in my eyes. The sample packaging is not any special, it just shows the image of the full size product on the front. The sample sachets contain only little in my eyes. The ones for the cream contain 1 ml only.
The description on Missha’s Official US page says:
Inspired by the moisture preserving ability of desert plants, the Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Cream activates the moisture preserving ability to keep skin hydrated throughout the seasons.
The main ingredients are: mineral water, baobab oil, Imperata Cylindrica root extract, Adenium Obesum, jojoba oil and Trehalose. These are natural ingredients which all have moisturizing benefits.

The cream itself has a creamy, thick consistency, in contrast to the Missha super Aqua Marine Stem Cell Defending cream, which was a mixture between a cream and a gel. Due to the consistency of the cream, this product is very rich and a little amount goes a long way. If you use too much, your skin can not absorb it and it will look greasy. With the right amount it absorbs into the skin quickly and really makes the skin feel supple and soft. Actually, the fact that you only need a bit of the product each time, makes the price of the full size product quite okay. Although it is more on the expensive side of moisturizers generally seen. The full sized jar contains 47 ml and costs 30 US$. Like Missha’s Super Aqua Marine Stem Cell Defending Cream it contains a spatula to spoon out the product and keep it more hygienic. The scent of the cream is fresh, but pleasant in my eyes.

Let’s talk about Missha’s Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Gel Serum now. Missha’s Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Serum is the perfect serum if your skin is really very dry.

I thought this serum would be more fluid, like water, but it has a semi fluid consistency, like oil for example (but it is not oily!). Thus it is called Gel Serum, I guess ^_^”’ It absorbs super fast into the skin and makes it feel really nice. The skin looks in a way dewy and fresh and the feeling stays throughout the day.

Compared to the cream it is rather scentless, but also here the sample sachet only contains 2 ml which is enough for two times use at the most. The full sized product comes in a tube with a pump, which is convenient for this type of product. It contains 40 ml and costs around US$30. Actually I didn’t find this serum on Missha’s US site.

All in all, If you have dry skin and you are looking for a good moisturizer, this one will not fail you. It makes everything you require from a good moisturizer. If you have oily skin, this line might be to intense/rich for you. The cream is definitely something I personally could buy for myself. since the amount you need to use is rather little, the price is okay all-in-all, although still expansive. I can give these two products only full rating, but considering the price it would have been sad if it was different.

Graveyard: September and October Empties

7. November 2013

It’s quite a while ago that I made a post about the product I used up, but somehow I managed to put my focus on decreasing my growing sample collection instead of buying new things. But finally a couple of products had to say goodbye:

Virgin Coconut Oil: I love using this in winter, on my body, in my hair…I’ll be buying a new jar of coconut oil soon, I’m sure :D Repurchase?Yes!
The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner: I love the scent of these, so exotic and reminds me of summer. If you don’t like the scent of bananas I’d recommend you not to buy it. Repurchase?Yes!
Skinfood Black Sugar Scrub Foam: I reviewed this ages ago (here) and I loved using it as often as possible. Repurchase? Yes, but first I’ll try some other scrubs :D
Missha Super Aqua Marine Stem Cell Defending Cream: This was my second jar, which means I love this product actually a lot. It moisturizes greatly and works perfect for me. You find my review >>here<< . Nevertheless I’m going to try out some other moisturizer next-and of course use some of the many samples I’ve still hoarded. Repurchase?Yes, unless I’ll find a better moisturizer :D
Sans Soucis Anti Age Radiance Daily Moisturizer: I didn’t like that this moisturizer had tiny glitter particles contained. Also the smell wasn’t one of my favourites, although it was not bad. Repurchase? No.
Rexaline Hydra Eye Zone Eye Cream: this is a solid eye cream which absorbs quickly. Nevertheless I’ve still a lot in my Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream, so I won’t repurchase this one. Repurchase? No.
Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish Frisky Clover: I loved the color a lot. The formula was thicker than other nail polishes. Unfortunately Rimmel was discontinued in Germany :/ Repurchase? unfortunately no.

So, that’s it again :) Hope you enjoyed reading ♥

Review: Missha Cream Chocolate Latte Cleansing Foam

4. September 2013
Hey ♥
Here is a review for Missha’s Cream Chocolate Latte Cleansing Foam. I knew I had to buy it, since it was cheap and claimed to be with chocolate scent. and I can tell you, that it smells so delicious!*_*
There are two more Cream Latte Cleansers, one with Green Tea Latte and one with Strawberry Latte. Honestly, I’d love to try all of them! I decided to buy the Chocolate cleanser in the end, because the description says, that it is moisturizing for dry skin.

Here is the product description taken from Missha’s web page:
Features:
Creamy chocolate latte flavour

1. Cleansing foam that contains chocolate latte that provides vitality and nutrition to the tired, dry skin.

2. The chocolate latte provides abundant nutrition which prevents skin aging and loss of vitality.

3. Soft, smooth lather like latte moisturizes the skin even after wash off

Ingredients:
– Contains 516mg of Chocolate latte

– Chocolate contains polyphenol that vitalizes the skin.

– Minerals, protein and daily fat moisturizes and soothes the dry skin.

how to use:
1.Take an appropriate amount on the hand
2.Apply over the face as if massaging
3.Wash off with lukewarm water
The product description on the tube is Korean only. The package design is simple but cute. I like the white tube with the ornaments and the little cup on the front. The foam cleanser comes in a tube, a pump would have been easier in application, but this is okay, too.
The product itself is a brown-shimmering, fluffy cream with turns into foam once you wash your face. This is a very mild cleanser and won’t remove heavy eye or lip make-up. Actually, you should not get this into your eyes because it stings as hell :D (I did….~_~)…apart from this, it feels and smells great. The scent is like hot chocolate, a mixture of milk and chocolate. ♥ The foam has a nice, soft texture. If you wash it off you feel how your skin was cleansed and it feels squeaky. If you dry your face it doesn’t feel squeaky anymore, but simply soft and clean and smooth. It does make my dry skin feel drier, but in a way moisturized. I really like to use this cleanser. Especially in the morning, when you don’t have a lot of make-up on your face. The scent is so heavenly, it makes me a feel happy and gives me a good start daily :)

The tube contains 172 mg and costs
– US$ 10.44 at W2Beauty (free shipping option)
– 3500 Won at testerkorea (shipping depends on weight)
– US$ 6-11 at ebay (plus shipping eventually)

This cleanser is also available in a set of three, if you want to try all of them ;)

Review: Missha Vita M BB Cream Moisture ♥sponsored♥

14. July 2013
Hey ♥
As I announced on Instagram I have another review for you. The product I’ll be showing here was sent to me by www.koreankosmetic.co.uk for reviewing purpose. Everybody living in Europe and UK should have a look at this shop selling Korean make-up products based in the UK! KoKo is a rather new shop founded end of last year. Currently they are shipping to Europe and UK only and if you are living in UK you can get free shipping at the moment, too! The shipping from UK to Germany was really fast. It arrived after 4 business days.

Here is the review for Missha’s Vita M BB Cream Moisture: This is another BB cream by Missha which claims to be moisturizing and gentle.
Here is the description by KoKo:
This gentle BB Cream contains 7 essential vitamin complexes derived from natural ingredients, and helps to improve the skin. Multi-functional, convenient to use to moisturize, protect, correct skin tone and block harmful UV.
Directions
After basic skin care, apply an appropriate amount evenly onto facial skin. Apply powder for the matt finish.
Size: 50ml
You can find an english description and the ingredients on the packaging, too :)
I mentioned more than one time, that I love Missha’s Perfect Cover BB Cream for years and naturally I will compare it to it.
The packaging is similar to Missha’s Perfect cover BB full sized tube. It comes in a tube with a pump dispenser which is very convenient to use. One pump is enough to cover my face. The only difference both BB creams have is the color of the tube. Missha’s Perfect Cover BB comes in a dark red tube and Missha’s Vita M BB Moisture has a golden tube.
The consistency is runnier than Missha’s perfect Cover BB and also it is only available in one shade. The coverage is a bit lighter, but it feels moisturizing. You feel the moisturizing effect especially if you apply it on bare skin without any other moisturizer below.
It doesn’t leave you with a grey cast like Missha’s Perfect cover BB does for the first minutes, but it looks pretty natural. Also you won’t see any caking or flaking, which can be sometimes the problem if you use BB creams with high coverage. I applied a moisturizer before I took the picture below:
The oil control is similar to Missha’s Perfect Cover BB, I would not recommend this BB cream to very oily skin without any other treatment for sebum control before.
Missha Vita M BB Cream Moisture costs GBP 20.00 at www.koreankosmetic.co.uk.You should also check out their facebook page, they provide from time to time giveaways which are open internationally.

For all UK residents: KoKo will be at a Korean Pop-up shop in London in August the 4th 2013 from 11am-6pm – they’ll have an own stall with their products from the online store! They’ll be giving 20% off everything from the retail price if you purchase on the day. You can find the information here: https://www.facebook.com/events/654870901209494/

Review: Missha Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Fresh Cleansing Oil

4. July 2013
Hello ♥
Today I have another sample based review for you. I got a sample of Missha’s Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Fresh Cleansing Oil. I already reviewed the Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream here. And I was (and still am) really in love with the scent, a refreshing and flowery scent of cherry blossoms. This sample of the Fresh Cleansing Oil was sent to me with my last order at W2Beauty (here) and I’m really happy to be able to try the cleansing oil of the Cherry Blossom line.

Here is the description from Missha’s page in New Zealand:
1. Concept
Refreshing Cleansing oil to remove heavy makeup perfectly and cleanly with pore care benefit
2. Descriptions
MISSHA Flower Bouquet Fresh Cleansing Oil Series

Washes away dirt and heavy makeup in one step

  • Effortless washing
Light cleansing oil with powerful hydrophilic properties quickly and easily removes dirt and makeup residue

* Each character of MISSHA Flower Bouquet Fresh Cleansing Oil
Pore Care
Cherry blossom and Azalea extracts nourish and exfoliate the skin while reducing the appearance of enlarged pores
4. Directions

1) Pump 2-3 times onto dry hands.
* After dispensing, wipe away any oil remaining on the pump head to allow for easy use later.
2) Gently massage onto dry face for 30 seconds.
* In order to completely remove lip and eye makeup, take extra care to gently massage the delicate lip and eye areas.
3) Dampen your fingers and gently massage until oil and water emulsify and appear milky-white.
4) Rinse face with lukewarm water to wash away dirt and makeup residue.
* There is no need to cleanse again, but if you have extremely oily skin then rinse again with Flower Bouquet Cleansing Foam.
The packaging of the sample has cherry blossoms printed on, like the full sized products of that line. I like the packaging a lot, because it’s simple but cute on the same time. ♥
The product itself is a clear oil. It has to be applied on the dry skin for cleansing and massaged in a while. The make-up already starts to dissolve in this step. Then you can wet your hands and continue massaging. The oil starts getting milky when combined with water. The make-up is fully dissolved after this step. Now you can rinse of the cleanser and your skin will be left clean and smooth.
This cleanser is really nice. It removed all the make-up I applied and it didn’t make my skin feel dry after cleansing. Since I have dry skin some good cleansers which are able to remove all make-up thoroughly are simply too drying. I didn’t have that feeling this time. Also, it didn’t leave my face oily at all. I will buy the full sized product probably as soon as my cleansing cream is empty and I can recommend this product for people with dry to normal skin. Missha states in their product description, that people with oily face should use the foam cleanser afterwards. I don’t know how effective this will be, since I don’t have oily skin.
The full size contains 150 ml and costs US$ 22.23 at W2beauty. If you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 for registration at W2Beauty you’ll get a 5.00 $ voucher after registration and you can use it immediately for each purpose from US$ 30 onwards.

Review: Missha Signature Complete BB Cream SPF 25 No.21

29. May 2013
Hello ♥
I’m back with some new reviews and I’ll start today with another Missha BB cream most of you probably know: Missha’s Signature Real Complete BB Cream SPF 25 PA++ No. 21
This review is based on a couple of samples I had from this BB cream and recently I got another one from my haul at Keautystore.

Here is how the samples look like: they have a sample sachet which is formed like the BB cream tube. The packaging of the full-size is really nice. It looks pretty with the golden flowers on the tube and it comes with a pump dispenser which I really like a lot.
Here is the product description and image from Missha’s US web page:
All you need for your true beauty is… Real Complete BB Blemish Balm, also called BB Cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to soothe and regenerate the skin while protecting post-surgical scars from the sun. Missha’s M Signature Real Complete BB Cream has been reformulated for everyday use. The M Signature Real Complete BB Cream gives even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturizing properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.

Containing peptide complex, gingko water and 50 kinds of botanical complex, it provides abundant moisture and nutrients to the skin to help make it healthy. Non-chemical, Paraben-free, Mineral oil-free, Alcohol-free, GMO-free, Triclosan-free, Benzophenone-free

This BB cream is comparable to Missha Perfect Cover BB. Looking at the ingredients it is an improved version of the Perfect Cover BB cream. It doesn’t contain mineral-oil and is paraben-free, too :)

The consistency is the same as Missha Perfect Cover BB cream. The coverage is also comparable and really great for both creams. It’s buildable, too :)
Below you’ll see an image of the cream after applied on the face. This cream blends in well, but it is a bit too fair for me. I should buy the No. 23 if I would repurchase the full-size. The finish is more dewy than matte, also this BB cream is moisturizing and doesn’t set into lines or look cakey.
I like it.♥
The full-size costs US$ 45.99 for 45 ml at Missha’s US web page. I can recommend this cream as much as I doe the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream (review >>here<<). On W2Beauty you can buy it for US$ 31.23. If you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 for registration at W2Beauty you’ll get a 5.00 $ voucher after registration.
You can still join my mini giveaway for the Avène Thermal Water Spray :) ♥ >>here<< ♥ I’ll put a sample of this BB cream inside the giveaway package, too…and one or two other samples :D

Review: Missha Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream

24. April 2013
Hey there ♥
Finally, I have a review for you again. It’s Missha’s Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream. I ordered this item last year, and I used it quite a bit since then. There are 3 types of this cream available, each with a different flowery scent: There is Maylily, Iris and Cherry Blossom. There is also a Cleansing Foam and a Cleansing Oil for the same scents.
Here is the product description from cosmetic-love:
[Features]
Missha Flower Bouquet Cleansing Cream : Flower cleansing series that will make your daily cleansing refreshing with sweet, lovely scent of various flowers. Free of artificial color / mineral oil
[Ingredients]
1. Smoothly removes makeup and impurities. Easy to cleanse as it washable and doesn’t require tissue off.
2. Contains botanical oils and free of artificial color and mineral oil for gentle, mild cleansing.
3. Not greasy or sticky
4. Leaves skin feeling refreshed and vitalized with 5% of Freesia extract which has skin soothing effect.
[How To Use]
1.Take an appropriate amount onto the dry face and massage in a circular motion for 1~2 minutes.
2.Tissue off or wash off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
[Type]
1.Cherry Blossom
2.Maylily
3.Iris
[Capacity]
182ml
This was my first time using a cleansing cream. I bought it in first place because of the scent because I love the scent of cherry blossoms *_*. Originally I wanted to order the cleansing foam, but I thought “why not trying a cleansing cream after all?!” This is how I ended up with this lovely product.
First of all the packaging: It’s really a clean, nice packaging with it’s white jar and the blossoms on it give the additional cuteness to it. I was really in love with it when it arrived. It was packed in a clear plastic box with cherry blossoms on it, too!So adorable!♥ Unfortunately, I disposed it after a while, that’s why I can’t show you an image…but it was really sweet, believe me!
After opening the jar, you’ll be overwhelmed with the lovely scent of cherry blossoms, without having the feeling that it is an unnatural scent. It’s just a really nice scent! Again, this is not the right product for people who don’t like scents in their beauty and make-up products. Also, it comes in a jar and it’s really a lot product, so I bet it’ll be considered as unhygienic for some of you, but as with Missha’s Super Aqua Cream I reviewed earlier, this one comes also with a spatula.
Applying and using this cleanser is really easy: You just put this cream on your face. It’s not a rich cream, but it feels light and nice and I think it’s perfect for a pre-washing massage of the face. After this you can remove it by lukewarm water or by tissue. (I must admit, I didn’t try to only use a tissue afterwards on my face, I would not have the feeling of being clean without washing it with water.) Done! Your skin feels soft and clean, not greasy at all (again, I don’t now how the feeling will be on your face, if you only use a tissue to remove it. I tried on a small spot on my hand, it didn’t seem to be sticky or greasy) and the divine scent may refresh you additionally, if you like it. Also, it’s really a mild cleanser and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. It worked exactly the way it should work, removed my make-up, smells great, feels great, thumbs up!
At cosmetic-love you can buy it for US$19.05. For a cleanser it may be a lot for some of you, but I assure you: 182 ml is really a lot, snce you only need a cherry size amount of cream maximum. I didn’t use up a quarter of it yet…

Review: Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream

6. March 2013

As I already said, my addiction started when I discovered BB creams. I won’t bother you with any definition for that, because by now nearly everybody knows what a BB cream is, since the boom reached also the European and American market. If you don’t know what a BB cream is, you can have a look for it on Wikipedia, for example. My first BB cream was the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 PA+++.

The description on the Official Missha Website (USA) says:

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.

Whitening + Anti-Wrinkle + UV Protection (SPF 42 PA+++)

Ingredients:
Water(Aqua), Cyclomethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mineral Oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, Talc, Arbutin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Dimethicone, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Squalane, Adenosine, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Polyethylene, Beeswax(Cera Alba), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Caviar Extract, Algae Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fagus Sylvatica Bud Extract, Ceramide 3, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance(Parfum), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Citronellol
MAY CONTAIN[+/-; Titanium Dioxide(CI 77891), Iron Oxides(CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)]
As you can see the list of the ingredients is rather long. I know, there are a lot of people that don’t like too many additional ingredients within the products they use on their skin. That’s definitely not the product I would recommend to those people. Nevertheless, this BB cream does its job! I use this cream for over 2 years know and it has worked great for my skin. It never made me break out or caused any other allergic reactions on my skin, although there might be many people freaking out if they see that this product contains mineral oils. I never had any problems with this BB cream.
This BB cram comes in 5 different shades:
#13 milky beige
#21 light beige
#23 natural beige
#27 honey beige
#31 golden beige
I’m using #23 at the moment.

This BB cream has a thick consistency, also you have to let it rest some minutes after appliance on your face. This helps the BB cream to adapt to your skincolor. Don’t be scared if it looks too bright at the beginning and has a greyish undertone. The color changes after some minutes.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream has a good coverage. You can also build up layers to increase the coverage. The cream has a flowery scent, which I personally like, but those of who sensitive to scented cosmetic should not buy this BB cream.
I have rather dry skin, so I’m using a good moisturizer before and apply the BB cream on top of it, after the moisturizer absorbed into my skin. If I don’t use any moisturizer the BB cream will settle a bit in any fine line I have >_<  I don’t think you need to use anything before applying the BB cream if you have oily skin.
The full-size tube comes with a pump, but I prefer the travel size tube because it fits perfectly in every handbag :) You can buy the full-size tube (50 ml) for US$29,99 on Missha’s offical page. Or you buy it for US$ 21.13 at W2Beauty (if you use my affiliate link for signing up you’ll receive a 5 US$ coupon useable for orders above 30 US$).
