Review: Mamonde Total Solution Mineral Moisture BB cream

2. December 2013
It is time for another BB cream review :D After having posted a lot of lip products recently, I discovered some pictures of products I didn’t review yet. This post will be about Mamonde’s Total Solution BB cream. Mamonde is again a brand part of the Amore Pacific group. Mamonde comes from the french word “ma monde”, which means “my world”.

This BB cream aims at whitening, wrinkle care and sun protection. These are basically the three factors every BB cream tries to achieve. This BB cream contains a minearl complex, which should provide the anti aging effect. The mineral complex is said to engage in the collagen generation and elastin metabolism, and the mineral water says to be beneficial for purifying and lifting skin. Secondly, this BB cream contains several natural ingredients called “Smart Flower Complex” providing the whitening effect. This means, most of the natural ingredients are from different flowers, like tuberose, thistle and edelweiss. It contains arbutin aswell.
The BB cream contains SPF20/PA+ which is great, too. And last, but not least, this BB cream claims to be moisturizing, which was one of the main reasons I wanted to try this BB cream.

Unfortunaltely the packaging of this travel size BB tube is only in korean. the cardbox has a reflective material, which makes it a bit hard to take pictures with flash :( The tube itself contains 30 ml BB cream and has a screw cap. It has a pink color, but the rest of the design is rather simple and not especially creative or cute.

The oil controll is quite normal and not really super, if you have already oily skin. I personally didnt have problems with my dry skin. This BB cream is a light BB cream, compared to thicker BB creams like Missha’s Perfect cover BB. It gives a nice glow, but has only low to medium coverage. On the other hand it is very natural and easy blendable.

All in all, what I liked about this BB cream, was the light feel and the nice glow it provides. I didn’t actually like the coverage and somehow the staying power doesn’t convince me too much. If you are looking for a glowy, moisturizing BB cream with a light coverage though, you can try this. I bought it at www.testerkorea.com for 6900 Won (~7 US$). It’s quite some time ago I ordered this BB cream and by know Mamonde has a new BB cream called Total soultion Moisture BB cream. I would assure it will be similar to this one, but I don’t know of course. Did anyone try Mamonde BB creams and if yes, which is your favourite?

Hey! I never tried any of Mamonde products before so I do wonder whether it’s working greatly or not. I’m not really a big fan of that dewy look, even with my Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream, I tend to out on loose powder to lessen the dewy effect.
This is a nice review by the way! It’s always great to see new non-tried product reviews like this. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

This was my first Mamonde product, too, although I discovered a couple of products from this brand which I really would love to try in future. We’ll see if I can manage to get my hands on some more of their products. Thanks, for commenting, Mira ♥

I never tried any Mamonde products or BB creams and I think this on is definitely not suited for me because I have oily skin and glowy finish on my skin would look horrible haha~ but can you recommend me the best bb cream you’ve ever tried for oily/comibnation skin? :3

There are also BB cremes which provide a matte effect. For example Etude House Cotton Fit BB creams. I liked this one a lot. Actually, since I don’t have oily/combined skin but dry, I can’t give you the perfect recommendation. But there are definitively BB creams with matte effect (as I said, I tried Etude House’s Cotton Fit BB creme, and also Innisfree’s Anti Blemish BB creme had a matte effect, too).

This BB cream looks really nice, although I’ve never heard of the brand before. I wonder if I can get it in the Philippines?

    • Fräulein Schnee 3. December 2013 at 17:09

Perhaps you can, if there are other Amore Pacific brands available in the Philippines? But there are always shops were you can order them, and some of them also provide worldwide free shipping. Thanks for commenting ♥

Not bad, but it looks like more to the pinkish shade, which I don’t really like… only because it don’t match me…

Yes, actually it has a pinkish undertone. I prefer yellow undertone more :) so I agree about the color matching ;)

    I can’t pull off the dewy look, haha. I’m too oily. ;_;

    • Fräulein Schnee 5. December 2013 at 23:38

I actually prefer a medium dewy look. This is too much even for me XD
