Review: Hadalabo Shirojyun Medicated Bikhaku Whitening Facial Mask ♥sponsored♥

14. November 2013
Here is a short sheet mask review again. This time it is Hadalabo’s Shirojyun Medicated Bikhaku Whitening Face Mask I received from BeautyChamber. This is Japanese brand I heard from often, but never tried.

The packaging is nothing special and rather boring with a lot of Japanese characters on the front and a detailed Japanese description on the back. Unfortunately there is no English description on it, but actually we can guess, that this mask is to be used in the same way as all the other sheet masks.
I’d love to know the ingredients of this mask, but unfortunately I couldn’t find them anywhere. So if you have any idea what the sheet mask essence contains, please write a comment. I think it contains Arbutin as whitening ingredient. At least the scent of the essence was rather medical. the sheet was soaked nicely with essence and wasn’t dripping, although I thought it might happen. the essence absorbed also quickly into the skin. As to the effects: I had the feeling my skin was brightened. That was great because I didn’t think to notice anything after only using one mask. The downside was (apart from the scent, which is not my favourite) that I had the feeling that the mask left my skin with a dry feeling. Did anyone else try this mask and had the same experience? I personally would not repurchase it, simply because of the dry feeling of the skin afterwards, but if you like to try the brightening effect you can probably just use a moisturizer afterwards.Unfortunately I don’t know how much this costs, but I think that you’ll be able to buy it in a box. I saw these in a 4 piece box on www.sasa.com for 11.50 US$ on sale.

Review: Kanebo Lavshuca Jewelry Lips Color RD3 and RD4

18. October 2013
I’ve always had an eye on Kanebo Lavshuca’s Jewelry Lipsticks, because I loved their design, which was pretty and princess-y. Nevertheless, I somehow never bought one of these, until I discovered that they were to be discontinued and replaced by Lavshuca’s new launched collection. I was disappointed, because the new design is not princess-y any more at all, but then I discovered, that www.adambeauty.com were had a sale on the old lipsticks. The shades were limited, and most of them already out of stock, but I could buy two shades from the Jewelry Lips Color line. I will review both colors in this post, so there will be a lot of images this time.

Here are the two shades I bought, RD3 and RD4, both very similar to each other, with the slightest difference.
The packaging is in Japanese unfortunately.
The lipstick tube is really pretty and it reminds really of some jewels, like said in the name. Also, it reminds me of some magical girl item XD (…I tried it…no transformation happened…)
These are so tiny and cute, they are perfect for a small handbag, too ♥ And I really mean it when I say they’re tiny. They have a capacity of 1.8g.
The color of the two shades I bought is similar. One has a more pink hue and the other a slight hint of coral. But both are very natural colors.
I didn’t use them with concealer on the images below, but just on my bare lips and you barely notice the difference on my lips. Nevertheless, the consistency of these lipsticks is really nice. It feels moisturizing on the lips and gives them a natural gloss. Since I don’t wear lip gloss, I prefer lipsticks with shades like this for days I don’t want to put on much.If you use concealer before, the shades are more nude and the difference between the two shades is more visible.
I would really like to know how the darker shades would look like, having tried now these sheer shades. I bought them for around US$ 5 each on www.adambeauty.com, but I think they are out of stock by now. I discovered a seller on ebay selling the Kanebo Lavshuca Jewelry Lips for US$ 14. So if you would like one of these have a look at ebay., but I never ordered there by myself. Would I repurchase? Yes, the packaging is so beautiful. Nevertheless, I don’t know if I want to pay US$ 14 for it…Did anybody try the new Lavshuca collection?

Review: Mitomo DayLight& Mi 109 Herb Mask Sheet Lithospermi Radix ♥sponsored♥

15. October 2013
I have so many sheet masks to review, I don’t dare buy anything new until I’m done, haha. Better I start of with one of the reviews. Here is a Japanese mask from the company Mitomo called DayLight& Mi 109 Herb Mask Sheet containing Lithospermi Radix. I received this mask from BeautyChamber. Thanks again!

Mitomo is a Japanese company selling a lot of different sheet masks, but also other skin care products. They have a official site at www.mitomos.com. This sheet mask I will review is one of their Herb Sheet Masks containing Lithospermi Radix. Lithospermi Radix is used in Chinese and Japanese Traditional Medicine because of its anti-inflammatory properties. There is a short description on Lithospermi Radix on the front of the sheet mask packaging, which is in english, too!

I must say, the scent of this mask was not pleasant to me…I was really reluctant to put it on my face at all, but finally I did, and then after a while I didn’t smell the scent anymore-luckily. The mask sheet was soaked nicely with the clear essence. It was not dripping or anything. Unfortunately, unfolding was a bit difficult, because there was no plastic sheet attached or similar. Nevertheless it didn’t tear appart. After I removed the mask and the remaining essence was absorbed my skin stayed sticky.
sorry, for my chipped nails >_<
By the way, except of feeling moisturized I didn’t feel anything special about this mask, unfortunately…
Since it is okay in this point and has a terrible scent on the other hand I would not repurchase it personally. But perhaps someone had made other experiences with this product? Please feel free to comment :)

Review: Rohto Lycee Eyedrops for Contact Lenses

12. September 2013
Hello ♥
This review was a long time in my draft and I forgot to publish it :D I bought Rohto Lycee Eyedrops with the Geo Princess Mimi Apple Green Circle lenses at Pinky Paradise reviewed >>here<<. I fell in love with the packaging and I was looking for a small eyedrop product for putting into my purse and this it is.

Here is the product description by Pinky Paradise:

Rohto Lycee Contact Eyedrops (for contact lenses) – Light Pink
Ideal for those having dry eyes while wearing contact lenses.
Main function:
To re-hydrate the eyes and solve the problem of eye dryness.
Additional Benefits:
Reduce redness & refreshing your eyes
How to Use:
Put 1 or 2 drops in the affected eyes up to 5-6 times daily.
Discontinue using if pain, itching, or sensitivity occurs.
MADE IN JAPAN

The packaging contains the instructions and the little eyedrop container. The instructions is written in Japanese, but there are some images, so you get how it works. Apart from this there is not much you can do wrong about eyedrops. ;)
Edit: I was asked for the ingredients of these eyedrops. Since the package is in Japanese I couldn’t read it, but I saw that Pretty&Cute had listed the ingredients here:

Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride 0.04%
Zinc Sulfate 0.1%
Chlorpheniramine Maleate 0.01%
Vitamin B12 0.006%
Vitamin B6 0.05%
Potassium L-Aspartate 1.0%

The pink package keeps its promise of being cute and girly. The eyedrop container has a rectangular shape and is made of plastic. The cap can be closed tightly with a little pressure and is released by twitching it. The pink cap has tiny sparkling particles within, too. The bottle of the container is transparent and the eyedrop solution has a pale pink color, too, which is caused by the vitamin B12. The bottle contains 8 ml eyedrop solution.

The is designed in a way that you can easily put the eyedrops in your eyes from all angles you use, which I think is really useful.

How is the effect on the eyes now?! The main function of eyedrops is to provide moisture, because contact lenses can be pretty drying for your eyes. Rohto’s Lycee Eyedrops do moisturize pretty well. Also, these eyedrops are designed to cool your eyes and refresh them. I read on other blogs about these eyedrops that they were burning a bit. I didn’t experience burning. I did experience burning in my eyes while cleansing my face and getting accidentally cleanser into my eyes, but these eyedrops were not burning, they were cooling. This is comparable to toothpaste: you brush your teeth and the toothpaste gives you a cooling and refreshing taste in your mouth. My eyes felt much better after I used it, especially after a long working day in front of the computer screen..Rohto’s Lycee Eyedrops is really a great product and it full-filled all the claims I had for it. :)
Nevertheless, I have to warn, that this is not a huge product. It only contains 8 ml and is thus quite expensive. At Pinky Paradise it was sold for US$ 12.99. At the moment it is out of stock, but there are other eyedrops available from Rohto. On ebay you can find them for around 10 US$. Because of the price I’ll give them only a rating of 4/5 instead of 5/5.
If you want to place an order for contact lenses at www.pinkyparadise.com feel free to use my coupon code berriesinthesnow1. you get a FREE cute animal lens case PLUS mystery gift
