Review: Tonymoly Dear Me Petite Cotton Pact

27. February 2014
It’s quite a while ago that I bought this little powder pack. I have some BB creams which are really on the glow-y side and sometimes I just prefer some matte texture instead of dewiness. Therefore I decided to buy a new translucent simple powder, since my old one was simply too old XD. I didn’t want to spent to much money on a simple powder and that made me buy the Tonymoly Dear Me Petite Cotton Pact.

The pact is really small and perfect for taking it around to touch up your face. The design is simple, yet cute, and I can totally imagine thinking about cotton and smooth feeling while staring at the packaging :D

This translucent powder pact is available in two shades, pink beige (01) and natural beige (02). I bought natural beige, because it is nearer to my skin color than pink beige.

The Tonymoly Dear Me Petite Cotton Pact is a light powder pact containing herb and vegetable extracts. The pact comes with a mirror and a puff and is due to it’s size super travel friendly. It has a light scent, but it doesn’t linger too long.

The puff feels very soft and it takes a nice amount of the powder. The powder has some color, but it doesn’t come with any coverage, so it is perfect for setting BB cream or foundation.

Nevertheless, If you have very dark skin you should not use this powder because it might be too obvious, because of the color.

The staying power is quite satisfying but I cannot tell you much about the oil control since I have mostly dry skin. It worked out for me personally perfectly. Another plus is the price and the size which make this product a useful friend for your pocket.

The Tonymoly Dear Me Petite Cotton Pact is available at:

W2Beauty for US$ 9.02

Testerkorea for 5800 Won (around US$ 6, shipping depends on weight)

RoseRoseShop for US$ 4.64 (shipping depends on weight)

I have oily face and I can tell you is one of the best compact powder keep skin sebum, this product was $ 5 on eBay and I asked my boyfriend who bestow on me to test further but is small hard much, I used mine for over 7 months and I still have product. I also use the No. 2 because I’m not as pale as Korean girls. Thanks for this review~

I’m happy to hear that it also works great for oil control. I remeber reading your review a while ago, I think this was the reason I bought it after all :* ♥

Thank you for reviewing this! I’m searching for a good pact for setting BB or concealer around my eyes. I wish the Dear Me pact came in a third shade though- TM Aqua Aura pact in #3 suits me perfectly so I’m worried this will be too light. :-( Don’t want that reverse-panda look!

Shade 3 of the Aqua Aura Pact is natural beige aswell. So I think this one should suit you, too. I love the wording reverse Panda look by the way XD

I’ve never tried it, but I absolutely love the BB cream from the same range. Well, when I’m dark enough for it, which is only half the year. xD

I heard the BB cream and the pact play super together. so I’m really curious if I should try the BB cream :D

I can’t wait to try this in person at the TonyMoly store :) I love my APIEU oil control pact, but I am always down to try more! It’d be nice if this was translucent though. =)

With NC 23 it acts like translucent, because the coverage is really low. But it is nice for making the face look matte. I’d love to try more powders, too, the bad thing is that I just use them very unfrequently, so it takes years(!) until I would finish them if I would buy more than one :D

Sounds like a really really decent powder, I’m a huge lover of powders, usually have two or three open at the same time and use up one a month! I’d totally use that as a setting powder over my foundation with the sheer coverage!

Yes, I was using powder in the past often but then I stoppen using them and I was doing very simple make up with only BB cream as single step. but recently I like to have a matte finish, so I think this powder is perfect for doing so.

This powder sounds good! I wanted to get this too but I read somewhere that the Innisfree powder should be better in sebum control so I went for that one instead! ;w; The packaging is a lot cuter than the one from innisfree though T^T Thank you for this really detailed review ^w^

    • Fräulein Schnee 4. March 2014 at 14:02

I couldn’t decide between this and the innisfree powder and another one, I don’t remember. Finally, I decided for the cute packaging XD Thanks for commenting, Mindy ♥
