Review: The Dolly Eye 3D Bat Green Lenses

6. March 2015

Another lens review today! This time it is The Dolly Eye 3D Bat Green Lenses, which I received from Lensvillage. I reviewed previously another lens from The Dolly Eye >>here<< if you are interested, but first let’s jump right into the review:

The Dolly Eye 3D Bat Green Lenses

I wear my regular contact lenses a lot, so my eyes are in general used to wear contact lenses. Some words about my eyes in advance: My prescription is -0.25 and -0.5, which is why I choose plano lenses mostly, because these small steps of prescription are usually not available for fashion lenses. Also, my eyes have astigmatism, which is the reason that lenses which are not adjusted to my base curve might feel uncomfortable more quickly than for normal eyes.

I received these lenses from The Dolly Eye from  Lensvillage. The lenses came in the typical vials, together with a buisness card and a lens case. I got the lenses without prescription. The vials are really cute in their design, because of the colors and the hearts on the labels.

Here are my thoughts on The Dolly Eye 3D Bat Green Lenses:

The design is very special. It has a pattern like ornaments. Also the green color of these lenses is more of a emerald-green. I think the design is very pretty and it also shows nicely even on my dark eyes.
These lenses were a bit uncomfortable after a while, because of the size, but other than this they are really soft and don’t hurt your eyes. Using eyedrops makes them quite wearable for lenses of this diameter.
Enlargement is visible. It has a super dolly effect!
Shipping was quick since it came with FeDex this time. If you get standard shipping it will take 3-4 weeks. This is not the fastest shipping I experienced with standard shipping, but neither the slowest. The lenses were packed securely in bubble wrap plastic and they came with a cute animal shape lens case ♥.
Below you will find some pictures on how the lenses look on my eyes:

All in all, these lenses have a pretty design, which is not necessarily natural, but very pretty. If you want to use it for a costume/cosplay, you might like these because of the pretty color and the enlargement they provide.

Wow these make your eyes look huge! So pretty! And you are so lucky to have such good eyes, mine are -2.25 and -3.25 :(. They actually look more natural in your eyes than they do by themselves, but yes probably more suited to cosplay. I wonder how green lenses would look on me hmm…

And it’s so nice to see your pretty face for once!

Yes, I’m pretty happy that my prescription is quite low, nevertheless, due to the astigmatism I cannot read/focus without any glasses or contact….I can imagine that green lenses would look great on you. I love the design of the three tone Vassen lenses. You should check them out. Thanks for commenting ♥
