Nature Republic’s Photoshot 3D Mousse BB comes in a package with a lot of description and information about the product. The text is in English and Korean.
Shade No. 02 is the darker shade they provide. It comes in tin with a pump dispenser. The pump is protected by a clear plastic cap. This is a bit of a disadvantage, but I’ll will explain later.
The packaging is purple colored and looks simple and not special at all. If you push the pump the BB cream comes out of the dispenser in form of a fine foam. Now here is the problem: If you push too much you’ll get A LOT of foam. It is basically impossible to use it all for one face only. Therefore you have to push only a little. Also, a lot of product stays on the dispenser opening and some additional foam is created afterwards still. That means if you put on the cap directly after usage, this foam will mess up all the cap from the interior, and since it is a clear plastic cap, it is visible, too! Not too nice :/
The BB cream itself is very light due to the foamy texture. It is easy to apply and to blend with the skin. I would say coverage is not medium to full, but sheer to medium. It is buildable to a degree. If you put too much it will settle into fine lines. I didn’t like the smell either. I expected a scent of roses, but it was another scent which I can’t describe. I just didn’t like it. Nevertheless the scent is not a big deal, since it wears off pretty fast.
Generally this is a nice BB cream with an interesting texture. I never had a foamy BB creme before. It is really light and performs nicely on the skin, if you don’t have the need for high coverage. I guess it is really a nice BB cream if you live somewhere with humid weather. It has a good SPF, too. Also, I applied it with my hands, thus I don’t know if it is more buildable by using a puff.
The product costs US$ 16.75 at W2Beauty. If you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 for registration at W2Beauty you’ll get a 5.00 $ voucher after registration. You can use this voucher immediately for minimum order of US$ 30. But they have such a variety of products, that it becomes much to easy to spend that money, haha.

Sounds ok, I agree, that pump can be bad and wasteful. I have this fear that because it is mousse, it will dry a little sticky? Is the scent strong? How about cleaning? Easy wash off?

    • Fräulein Schnee 23. June 2013 at 20:02

Yes, the problem with the pump is that it’s a mousse. For normal BB creams a pump is fine, but here the mousse continues to come out although it should stop…but the scent isn’t strong, it’s just not the flowery scent most people are used to when they used other BB creams like Missha or Lioele or Skin79. It isn’t sticky and I didn’t have problems with cleansing my face afterwards.

Oh gosh it’s so foamy! xD I want to try a foamy BB cream, must be lightweight! I guess it’s not really moisturizing though?

    • Fräulein Schnee 24. June 2013 at 13:09

It’s really lightweight! No comparison with to normal BB creams here! I is only medium moisturizing, but it isn’t drying.

sounds cute, a little different from all bb creams, foamy *0* it does a matte finish too. good thing there’s a shop of nature republic near our place! i would tell my friend about it who is so fond of using bb creams from korea. :) and the coverage is just light, just perfect. :)

but is it okay for oily skin?

    • Fräulein Schnee 24. June 2013 at 13:11

Oh, you’re so lucky having a shop near you *_* It claims to be suited for all skin types and for hot humid weather…I guess it is suited then. I have dry skin and my nose is the only thing which gets a bit shiny after sveral hours of wearing.

  • Misa Lee 24. June 2013 at 4:56

Fräulein I love this so much!!! Haha I was just wondering this morning while applying my foamy shu uemura base, whether I should get foam bb cream as well cause I actually love foam products cause they’re lightweight and spread out evenly. And then comes your review ^^ so I feel like I should get this one haha. Is it good for oily skin though? I mean I love the photo ready concept but I would love it more if it has good oil control as well haha. But thank you for this adorable review <3

    • Fräulein Schnee 24. June 2013 at 13:14

I have to admit, that this foamy texture is really great and light. You basically fell nothing while wearing and it looks so natural, too. You know that I have dry skin and the only part of my face which gets a bit shiny during the day is my nose. I guess the oil control should be normal. It didn’t look too bad in the evening after work without touching up. But if you will try it, I’d love to read your opinion.

I love the texture. It’s so weird. xD Haha. I’m yet to delve into Nature Republic. Hope to soon, though.

    • Fräulein Schnee 24. June 2013 at 13:15

I saw that they have some really nice products…I hope I can get more :D the texture is really really nice. It is really light on the skin and feels so natural :)

wahhh,, so cuteee mousse :3 good inovation for bb cream :D

    • Fräulein Schnee 24. June 2013 at 13:16

The foamy stucture is really exceptional. I like how it feels :D

  • Carmen C 24. June 2013 at 11:37

Wow. The foam is so ‘3D’. Haven’t tried any foamy BB creams before. Just a questions, does it apply evenly?

    • Fräulein Schnee 24. June 2013 at 13:17

You can blend it in perfectly. It lokked very even and natural, although I used my fingers. I guess it will be more easy using a beauty blender or a puff :)

  • Kerry 25. June 2013 at 5:40

What an interesting product! How do you think it would perform with dry skin?

    • Fräulein Schnee 25. June 2013 at 9:07

I actually have dry skin and it worked nicely for me. :)

  • Laura Hyatt 25. June 2013 at 15:44

OH gosh, at first I thought you were reviewing a foaming cleanser. I was really confused by the color, and then reread everything and was like duh. Kinda tired. u_u Sorry to hear it wasn’t HG or anything, but it still looks pretty nice :)

    • Fräulein Schnee 26. June 2013 at 8:57

Haha, it’s kind of confusing since foamy bb creams are not seen too often…actually it’s not bad. It’s really light. I removed points for the coverage and the scent. All in all it’s a nice bb cream nontheless.
