Review: Solone Alice In Wonderland Collection Perfect Drawing Eye Liner ♥sponsored♥

1. September 2013

Hello ♥

I’m very excited to review Solone’s Alice In Wonderland Collection Perfect Drawing Eye Liner today. ♥ Everybody loving Alice In Wonderland and any related product to this beautiful story: Be prepared! After seeing these pictures, you’ll wish to own the whole collection, just to have it and to look at the beautiful illustrations by the artist Stanley Dai over and over again.

Solone is a Taiwanese brand for make up and beauty. The name consists of three elements: So Colorful, Love and New Age. In collaboration with the artist Stanley Dai they created a collection dedicted to the world of Alice In Wonderland. This collection contains the Perfect Drawing Eye Liner, the Vivid Fantasy Smoody Pencil, the Role Switching Liquid Eyeliner and the Rose Covering Makeup Remover Pencil. The promotional pictures below belong to Solone and were edited by myself. You can click on the to enlarge :)

I’m reviewing Solone Alice In Wonderland Collection Perfect Drawing Eye Liner No.2, a black colored Eyeliner with shimmering particles. There are 4 shades available, two of them containing shimmering particles and the remaining two don’t.
The properties of the product are described as followed:
– Glamorous eyeliner design. Built-in Swarovski crystal, presenting a shining glamour and elegant eyeliner.
– Easy to apply, smooth and good color texture.
– 10 sec speedy dry, new water-proof and skin-oil resistant formula.
– Provided with a sharpener.

Below you’ll find the product description by Solone:

The packaging is beautiful and really want me to buy all the other products as well ♥ *_* The products description of the packaging is in Taiwanese, unfortunately. But there are little drawings inside, showing how to applicate the eye liner. You can enlarge the images by clicking on them.
The pen is black and has the brand name written on in curvy, pink letters. The cap is from plastic and has the built-in Swarovski crystal on the top.
You can sharpen the tip of the pencil and a pink sharpener is included with this product, too. The color of this eyeliner is black with a bit of shimmer. It’s not too much of shimmering, which I prefer. The eyeliner is rubbing proof and waterproof to a certain extend. If you combine rubbing with water the eyeliner will disappear.
Would I repurchase this eyeliner pencil? Yes and no. Yes, because I love the packaging, but now I already have it. No, because I’d like to try out the liquid eyeliner. I like this eyeliner pencil, but I love liquid and gel liner more. If you are a fan of pencil eyeliner I’d recommend you to try this. It is rubbing and water proof if you don’t overdo it and has a beautiful packaging.
You can get Solone Alice in Wonderland Collection from Beauty Chamber. At the moment there is a back to school promotion with 10% off the entire order. It doesn’t list all the products which are available, so if you are looking for something special like this, write an Email to Amber, the shop owner, and she’ll give you a quote. Introducing MOOTTA and Review on Innisfree It’s Real Masks

30. August 2013

Hello ♥

Did you hear about MOOTTA already? It’s a new start up company in South Korea focusing on Fashion and Beauty. MOOTTA’s main issue is to bring fashion- and beauty-trends from the South Korean Capital Seoul to everybody in the world.
I’m always curious about new companies providing Korean products, since I really love Korean beauty products for quite a while now, and I was always eyeing with their fashion. Unfortunately, a lot of products are limited to Korea only, so I’m always happy if I discover new stores that can provide me with new products that I don’t know yet. Did you know that “mootta” is Korean and means to ask?

Here is how the web store of MOOTTA looks like:

taken from www.mootta.com
MOOTTA‘s web appearance is very clean and nice and easily to navigate. They have a section for beauty and several sections for clothing and accessories. There is also a designer section where you can find pieces of work of various designer, including the finalist of Project Runway Korea. They are trying to provide clothes from designers which are unique and represent Seoul fashion.
The products in the beauty section are selected products from the beauty show in Korea called “Get It Beauty”, where the contestants test and evaluate products without knowing from which brand it is (btw: I like the concept of testing products which are similar without knowing which is which, in this way you tend to be a lot more objective).
MOOTTA was kind enough to send me two sheet masks for reviewing purpose. Both masks are from Innisfree’s It’s Real Mask line. They were neatly packed within a paper bag showing MOOTTA’s logo on it. The masks were send via EMS and arrived after 4 days. I will review the Innisfree It’s Real Rice and the Gold Kiwi Sheet Masks for you today and in a week I’ll be coming up with some other surprise for you. I’ll hope you’ll stay tuned *^_^*
There are 20 different Innisfree It’s Real Masks available. Each displaying the main ingredient used on the package. I like the design of the packaging, although it is not especially cute, but it looks nice and promising. Also, the instructions are written in English on the backside of each package.
taken from www.innisfree.co.kr

Here is the description taken from MOOTTA’s web page:

description:

Innisfree It’s Real Mask is enriched with ingredients, which offers groundbreaking result in brightening up and moisturizing dull skin.
Wonderfully moisturized, deeply nourished and plumped, skin emerges infinitely regenerated. Your skin can be renewed, refined, resilient and radiant upon using it.

application:
1. Apply a sheet of mask to toned face.
2. Leave on for 10 – 20 minutes before tearing off the mask.
3. Gently massage the whole face with fingertips for better absorption

On the back side you’ll find the Korean description. On the Rice mask you’ll also find the instructions and the ingredients in English (I don’t know why it’s all in Korean on the Gold Kiwi mask, probably another batch).
The cotton sheet is smooth and not too thin, neither too thick, and in both cases nicely soaked with the essence without being drippy. Their is no extra-foil attached to the cotton sheet, so you have to be a bit more careful while unfolding it. There is not a lot of essence left within the packaging, but enough to put the rest on your neck, for example.
Concerning the fit of the cotton sheet to the face: A lot of people keep complaining if a sheet mask is not fitting to they face shape. Sheet masks are designed to fit most people, so they have to make a compromise between a lot of different face shapes and sizes. I don’t blame any company for not providing the best fitted cotton sheet for my face. Until now I could always fold the sheet in a way that it stayed on my face nicely and even, and that’s the same case here. :)
I’ll review know each sheet mask separately, because they were different in they consistency and their effect:

Innisfree It’s Skin Rice Mask

The essence of this mask is not a clear liquid, but milky. In my opinion it felt creamier on the skin. The scent was pleasant and didn’t smell like rice at all, but clean and soap-y. I left the mask on my skin for about half an hour and took it off.
After taking off the mask the essence is soaked nicely into and on the skin, but it wasn’t absorbed completely. I waiting for another couple of minutes, but the skin stayed kind of greasy/creamy, probably because the consistency of the essence is more on the creamy side. I decided to go to sleep and have a look at my skin on the next day. And…drum roll….the essence was absorbed, my skin was so plum and soft the next morning I had to touch my cheeks all the time :D My skin also didn’t react negatively to the mask. I was absolutely happy with the result.

Innisfree It’s Skin Gold Kiwi Mask

The essence of the Gold Kiwi Mask is a clear liquid. The scent was fresh and fruity and reminded of Kiwi or something similar :D. I left the mask on my skin for about half an hour and took it off.
Also here, after taking off the mask the essence is soaked into the skin. I waiting for another couple of minutes, before it was absorbed completely and just left a slight stickiness. This one did feel completely different to the creamier Rice Mask.. The next day the stickiness was gone and the face looked refreshed, but it didn’t provide such a nice plum feel of the skin like the Rice mask.
Comparing both masks, I can definitely say, that I loved the Rice Mask a lot. The effect was visible on the next day and my skin felt great. Compared to this, the Gold Kiwi Mask is “simply” refreshing. Nevertheless, both masks have a nice scent and didn’t break me out or anything, and thus are good masks.
You can find them >> here <<. Do you have any favourite Innisfree It’s Real Masks? Which one did you try?

Thanks to MOOTTA again, for sending me the masks!

Review: Balala Eyshadow Kido Bear No. 1 ♥sponsored♥

27. August 2013
Hey ♥
Today I’ll be reviewing Balala Eyeshadow Kido Bear No. 1, a cute little eyeshadow palette with four matching shades. This product was send to me by BeautyChamber for reviewing purpose. Thanks a lot!♥
Actually, this is again a product and a company I never heard of before. I think it is a Taiwanese brand. It was also very very hard to find any information about it. I didn’t find a company web page or anything. Just some images on Google. The promotional pictures below belong therefore to Balala and were edited by myself.
As you can see, the packaging is super cute, with the bear face logo on the front. I really like the simply designed black plastic packaging. It seems they have quite a range of products.
I love the bear face so much, it is even on the side of the paper packaging ♥ The ingredients are written in English on the back side, but the rest of the information is Taiwanese I guess.
Funnily, when you search for any images, it appears often that you find pictures from products, looking very similar to Tony Moly’s product, like the Cat Chu Wink Lipstick. I was wondering if they are somehow connected to Tony Moly?!…If anybody has information about that, please feel free to write a comment!
The eyeshadow palette I’m reviewing contains two purple shades, a brown shade and a highlighter. The packaging comes with an applicator and a mirror, too. Each eyeshadow has the face of the bear imprinted on it. Sadly, they will disappear if the eyeshadow is used too often :/
The colors are really pigmented, even without a eye-shadow base. I love how they feel, but you have to be careful that the powder particle don’t fall off and ruin your face make-up. The best way to prevent this is using an eye-shadow base. The staying power is great, too.
I rarely wear eyeshadow myself, simply because I’m too lazy to spend too much time in the morning. Eyeliner is usually enough for me. But on special occasions I try to put on a little bit eyeshadow, mostly natural shades. Below you can see me wearing the eyeshadow palette in two different ways.
products used: Balala Eyeshadow Palette 01, Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara, Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow, Kiss Me Heroine MakeSmooth Liquid Eyeliner Pen, Zoeva Eyeshadow Brush

I don’t have anything bad to tell about this little cute palette. Lately nearly all the products I tested were absolutely convincing and I was giving a lot of 5 berries rating. I “hope” I’ll have some more critical products in the next time, otherwise nobody will believe my rating anymore XD. On the other hand, I’m happy I like the products and can use them :D

Review: Innisfree Capsule Recipe Mask Jeju Bija and Tea Tree ♥sponsored♥

26. August 2013
Hello everybody ♥
I’m back from my holidays finally and after my short blogging break it is time to continue with a lot of reviews. I have still so many products waiting for being evaluated, so I better get started right away! ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
A mask I used before my vacation is Innisfree Capsule Recipe Mask Jeju Bija and Tea Tree. It was send to me by BeautyChamber for reviewing purpose and I liked this one a lot.

There are 12 different types of Innisfree Capsule Recipe Mask, so have quite a variety to try. Each Mask comes in a small plastic capsule and contains 10 ml product. The packaging is neat and each type comes with another color on the lid. The Jeju Bija and Green Tea Mask has a bright green lid.

The product is light green color, too and has the consistency of clay. After you put it on your skin you have to wait 15 minutes or longer until it dries. Afterwards it can be washed off. It has a herbal scent at the beginning, which wears off while the mask dries up. After washing the mask off, the skin feels clean and refreshed. It was a nice feeling and I enjoyed using it. It also worked calming, I guess because of the ingredients of Jeju Bija and Tea Tree.

Each capsule contains enough product for 3-4 times usage. You can re-close the lid by putting it into a special slit in the plastic capsule. It is not 100% closed tightly then, but I stored it in the fridge and it didn’t dry up. If you want to be more sure you can just close the lid with additional wrapping film ;) I’ll leave you with a funny pic of me wearing this mask :D Hope I don’t scare anyone :D

Review: 1028 Visual Therapy Muse Powder Blush ♥sponsored♥

27. July 2013

Hello ♥
I received this blush by BeautyChamber for reviewing purpose. This is another brand I didn’t know before.

This blush comes in a round shaped black plastic case with a see-through lid. The blush consists of two colors, a darker pink shade, and a brighter pink shade (highlighter). The highlighter contains tiny sparkling particles, but it is not glittering like hell, so you’ll barely notice it. Both shades have a sheer pigmentation, which is buildable. You can create really nice pink cheeks, without overdoing it with one stroke and look like a clown.

Description is also written in English on the packaging. :)

Now comes the surprise: below the blush there is hidden a little brush! I didn’t realize this point until I did some internet research on the product. This comes so handy and makes this little blush so travel friendly ^_^

Did you know this brand? Do you know other products from 1028 Visual Therapy?

Review: Miss Hana Natural Born Lip Balm Crayon No. 1 ♥sponsored ♥

25. July 2013
Hey! ♥
Here is another Miss Hana product I will review. This time it is Miss Hana’s Natural Born Lip Balm Crayon in No.1 Purple Sakura Season.

Miss Hana is a Taiwanese brand and the Gel Eyeliner Pencil I reviewed before seems to be a bestseller in Taiwan. Why not try some other products?!:D This lip balm is available in 5 different shades. It was send to me by BeautyChamber. The shades which are available are called: Purple Sakura Season, New York Uptown Pink Girl, Orange Twilight, Peach Champs-Elisées and Moulin Rouge Diva. I like the names they’ve got. Below you can see the advertising pictures of Miss Hana Lip Balm Crayons:
The packaging is very girly and has the same color as the lip balm, with black ornaments around it. It has a clear plastic cap to protect the lip balm.
The description is in written in English, too. Yeii! (Although there is not much you can do wrong while applying lip balm… )
The texture of the lip balm is very, very creamy. The first time I opened it and swatched it on my hand (picture below) I accidentally broke of a tiny little bit ^_^”’ shame on me. For a lip balm it is also really pigmented. It is comparable to a lipstick in my eyes, but far more moisturizing. It really glides onto your lips and makes them feel supple and smooth. I really like the feel of the application.
In the picture above I didn’t use any lip concealer. See how pigmented it is nevertheless? Normally I don’t wear pink lip products, but I really like the feel of this one, so I put it on rather often, despite of this. Since I didn’t put on a concealer it can happen, that the lines in my lips appear like brighter, because more product sets in, but it is so easily blendable, that also this problem can be solved by using your fingers or a lip brush for blending in.
Only downside: the staying power is comparable to a lip balm and so it vanishes pretty fast and you have to touch up. I think it stays on for like 2 hours, without drinking and eating. Perhaps also a bit longer.
I’d really love to try out more colors of this lip balm, especially Moulin Rouge Diva or Peach Champs-Elysees. Because these seem to be more the colors I love to wear. I can only recommend you (especially if you have dry lips) to try one of these, if you can get your hands on it. The price for this product is 13.99 US$.

Review: Miss Hana Waterproof Eyeliner Gel Pencil ♥sponsored♥

24. July 2013
Hello ♥
Here is a review for a great eyeliner pencil from the Taiwanese brand Miss Hana. The product I’m reviewing is Miss Hana’s Waterproof Eyeliner Gel Pencil. It comes in a cute, pink packaging and I really am in love with the girly design. I stopped using pencil eyeliner, because they usually end up being smudgy on my eyes, but this one gives me new hope :D Continue reading if you are interested:

I got this product from Beauty Chamber. Here is the link to the product description. Unfortunately I can’t read it, but I think it is easy to use if you had eyeliner pencil before :D. This eyeliner seems to be very popular in Taiwan. I can understand why this is the case, taking into consideration how nice it works.
The packaging is cute and girly in pink and black colors. The pencil itself is pink, too, with black ornaments and a plastic cap.
The color of this eyeliner is black. It has a creamy consistency, without being too creamy to easily break off. I swatched it on my hands on the image below and tried how easy it it to remove by rubbing and water.

As you can see it really holds up to its claims of being waterproof. Also rubbing doesn’t do harm to it (it looses a bit of intensity in color if you’re rubbing too hard, but it doesn’t smudge). After these tests I used soap to wash my hand and still a little bit eyeliner remained. This was really surprising to me.
Lastly, here is a picture of me, wearing the eyeliner. It looks really nice in my eyes and I love how resistant it is.
All in all, I can say, that this is a nice pencil eyeliner. It holds up to its claims and is easy to use. The packaging is great, too. Also, it can be used on your waterline.
You can get Miss Hana Eyeliner from Beauty Chamber for US$ 13.99. Amber, the shop owner is very nice and answers fast to your emails. She has a blog at http://chamber2u.blogspot.tw/. Check out the facebook page, too: https://www.facebook.com/beautychamber2013
