Review: Mitomo DayLight& Mi 109 Herb Mask Sheet Lithospermi Radix ♥sponsored♥

15. October 2013
I have so many sheet masks to review, I don’t dare buy anything new until I’m done, haha. Better I start of with one of the reviews. Here is a Japanese mask from the company Mitomo called DayLight& Mi 109 Herb Mask Sheet containing Lithospermi Radix. I received this mask from BeautyChamber. Thanks again!

Mitomo is a Japanese company selling a lot of different sheet masks, but also other skin care products. They have a official site at www.mitomos.com. This sheet mask I will review is one of their Herb Sheet Masks containing Lithospermi Radix. Lithospermi Radix is used in Chinese and Japanese Traditional Medicine because of its anti-inflammatory properties. There is a short description on Lithospermi Radix on the front of the sheet mask packaging, which is in english, too!

I must say, the scent of this mask was not pleasant to me…I was really reluctant to put it on my face at all, but finally I did, and then after a while I didn’t smell the scent anymore-luckily. The mask sheet was soaked nicely with the clear essence. It was not dripping or anything. Unfortunately, unfolding was a bit difficult, because there was no plastic sheet attached or similar. Nevertheless it didn’t tear appart. After I removed the mask and the remaining essence was absorbed my skin stayed sticky.
sorry, for my chipped nails >_<
By the way, except of feeling moisturized I didn’t feel anything special about this mask, unfortunately…
Since it is okay in this point and has a terrible scent on the other hand I would not repurchase it personally. But perhaps someone had made other experiences with this product? Please feel free to comment :)

You can get this mask from BeautyChamber. I don’t know how much this mask costs, because it is not listed on the online store, but you can ask for a quote. Check out the facebook page of BeautyChamber, too: https://www.facebook.com/beautychamber2013

Review: Christine Ladies Argireline Ultra Tightening Mask ♥sponsored♥

27. September 2013
Hey,
Here is another sheet mask review again :D This is about Chistine Ladies Argireline Ultra Tightening Mask sponsored by BeautyChamber. Christine Ladies is a Taiwanese high-end brand. This mask is one of the best selling products from this brand and is available in two types, one is for tightening and one for whitening.

Here is the description of the mask taken from BeautyChamber’s web store:
TIGHTENING:
What makes this mask stand out among millions of others in the market is that it uses Japan’s invisible mask fabric which is 100% cotton fabric with thickness of only 0.03cm. It is able to fully absorb 20ml of essence.Using skin density difference principle, it allows the essence to be quickly transferred to the underlying skin with zero distance between the skin and mask; penetrating the barrier of skin cells so the essence can be 100% utilized.
EFFECTS: Protect skin tissues, repair damaged cells, smooth fine lines, tighten, whiten and moisturize and to increase skin radiance, keeping it in its best condition.
Ingredients: Aqua, Propylene Glycol, sodium Hyaluronate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Butylene Clycol, Saccharamyces, Podophyllum Peltatum Filtrate Extract, Aloe Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Chlorphenesin, Ethoxylated Alkylphenol, Ethoxylated Sorbitan Ester, Fragnance
Most of the ingredients above have moisturizing properties, which makes me assume, that this mask works good on dry skin. The packaging is a shiny dark red. Since this mask is from a Taiwanese high-end brand, the packaging is very mature and simple. I hope you can read the description on the backside. The material is very shiny and reflecting, I couldn’t get a better picture for it >_<”’ The description is in English :)

The fabric of the mask is very thin. It is the first sheet mask that I tried having a very thin and delicate fabric. In order to make it a bit easier to handle the sheet is attached to a plastic film. The mask is soaked thoroughly with the clear essence. While unfolding and arranging it for use I had to be careful not to mess around, but once it was on my face it didn’t drip or anything else. I didn’t like the scent of the mask, but after a few minutes I didn’t smell it anymore and it was okay. While having the mask on my face it was very moisturizing and refreshing. After half an hour the mask did still contain essence and wasn’t dried up. I took it off and left my face to adsorb the rest of the essence on my skin. After that the skin didn’t feel sticky. I felt a pluming effect, too. Unfortunately, I had only one of these masks to try, so I cannot speak about long-term effects. I also didn’t see a whitening effect.

You can get this mask at BeautyChamber for US$ 20 for a box of 6 masks, which is quite expensive compared to other sheet masks. Check out the facebook page of BeautyChamber, too: https://www.facebook.com/beautychamber2013

Review: Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask

19. September 2013
Hey :)
This review is based on a sample I got from Skinfood’s Egg White Pore Mask. I’ve been always curious about that mask, since I heard a lot of people do like it.

Here is the description taken from Skinfood’s official web page:

A pore-refining cleanser with egg white extract that penetrates deeply into pores to remove pore-clogging oil.

[Egg white Story]Egg white, enriched with albumin, promotes firmer skin and smaller pores.

* To UseAfter cleansing, apply to the face except the eye and mouth area. Wash off with lukewarm water in 10 ~ 15 minutes.

I have to point out that I’ve always loved Skinfood’s packaging. They have a vintage kind of design and logo and it really looks nice to me. The sample sachet design is as you expect it to be. Simple colors, but a little drawing on the front and the logo which makes it nice on it’s own way. The full size product comes in a jar.

The amount of product in the sample sachet is sufficient for 3 times use. This is great, because you can try the mask more then once and get a better view on the effects. The product itself has a thick creamy consistency. It can be spread nicely over the face and doesn’t fall off. The scent is flowery and clean, which I prefer over citrus scents :)

After 15 minutes the mask becomes starts drying and you can wash it off. What I experienced was super soft skin. I loved touching it afterwards.*_* The skin feels cleaned and refreshed, too.
Concerning the effect on the pores, they appear to be a bit smaller or less visible after use, but the effect vanishes after some hours. As you can see I got freckles after my summer holidays :D
I didn’t experience any firming, but I don’t know if this effect is only visible after long time usage.
However, I like to repurchase this mask, simply because I loved the softening effect and it is a quick re-freshener. I also liked the scent a lot, because it was a simple and pleasant flowery scent.
You can purchase Skinfood’s Egg White Pore Mask here:
W2Beauty for US$ 15.49 (free shipping)
testerkorea for appr. US$ 8 (shipping costs depend on the weight of the product)
ebay for US$ 7-10 (shipping depends)

Review: Innisfree Capsule Recipe Mask Jeju Bija and Tea Tree ♥sponsored♥

26. August 2013
Hello everybody ♥
I’m back from my holidays finally and after my short blogging break it is time to continue with a lot of reviews. I have still so many products waiting for being evaluated, so I better get started right away! ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
A mask I used before my vacation is Innisfree Capsule Recipe Mask Jeju Bija and Tea Tree. It was send to me by BeautyChamber for reviewing purpose and I liked this one a lot.

There are 12 different types of Innisfree Capsule Recipe Mask, so have quite a variety to try. Each Mask comes in a small plastic capsule and contains 10 ml product. The packaging is neat and each type comes with another color on the lid. The Jeju Bija and Green Tea Mask has a bright green lid.

The product is light green color, too and has the consistency of clay. After you put it on your skin you have to wait 15 minutes or longer until it dries. Afterwards it can be washed off. It has a herbal scent at the beginning, which wears off while the mask dries up. After washing the mask off, the skin feels clean and refreshed. It was a nice feeling and I enjoyed using it. It also worked calming, I guess because of the ingredients of Jeju Bija and Tea Tree.

Each capsule contains enough product for 3-4 times usage. You can re-close the lid by putting it into a special slit in the plastic capsule. It is not 100% closed tightly then, but I stored it in the fridge and it didn’t dry up. If you want to be more sure you can just close the lid with additional wrapping film ;) I’ll leave you with a funny pic of me wearing this mask :D Hope I don’t scare anyone :D

You can get Innisfree Capsule Recipe Masks from Beauty Chamber. At the moment there is a back to school promotion with 10% off the entire order. It doesn’t list all the products which are available, so if you are looking for something special like this, write an Email to Amber, the shop owner, and she’ll give you a quote. She is very nice and answers fast to your emails. She has a blog at http://chamber2u.blogspot.tw/. Check out the facebook page, too: https://www.facebook.com/beautychamber2013

Review: Nature Republic Fresh Hawaiian Seaweed Pack

29. July 2013
Hey there ♥
I saw these new packs from Nature Republic a while ago and since they looked so nice and exotic and really made me feel like summer I decided to try some. There are three different packs you can try: Hawaiian Fresh Seaweed Pack, Hawaiian Fresh Mango Pack and Hawaiian Fresh Pineapple Pack. The packs are available either in a tube for several time usage, or for single use in a cute little plastic container. I’m reviewing Hawaiian Fresh Seaweed Pack today, which works as a peel-off mask.

The packaging is really nice and shows a tropical scenery with a palm leaf and flower and seaweed. I really like how the packaging is designed, since it represents the ingredients of Hawaiian deep sea water, hibiscus flower and Seaweed extract. Seaweed shall help to clear your pores and make your skin smooth.
The pack has a gluey and sticky consistency and has a green color with darker particles inside (seaweed particles?!).
The small plastic container can be used for one time, except you spreed it only very thinly, then it can make two uses perhaps. The scent is very fresh and pleasant. I also put it into the fridge before, so I had an extra cooling effect, which was really nice. I left it on for 20 minutes around, until all the pack was dried. I could peel it of very easily afterwards. I felt clean and refreshed and my skin was soft. It was really a pleasant effect. Also I liked that this was a peel-off mask, so you really had the feeling that it did some cleaning on your face XD.
The full sized tube contains 120 ml and the small pack contains 8 ml.
You can get it at testerkorea for 7500 Won (~8 US$) and 1500 Won (~2 US$), respectively. Shipping depends on weight. If I would repurchase it, I would buy the bigger tube, mainly because I think it is easier to squeeze the pack out of a tube than take it out with the fingers :D

Review: Skinfood Gold Caviar Nutrition Mask

7. July 2013
Here is a sample of Skinfood’s Gold Caviar Nutrition Mask, which I got with my last order at W2Beauty (here). The sample contains quite some product so you can use this mask for around 3 times which is really great for trying out.

Here is the description of the product taken from Skinfood’s web page:
A total care nutrient mask that leaves the skin full of youth and vitality by managing the wrinkle, nutrient, resilience and moisturizing care through caviar and gold ingredients.

* To Use

Apply evenly onto the cheeks, chin, forehead and nose and massage in an outward motion starting from the center.
After 5~10 minutes of massaging, wipe away with tissue or rinse with lukewarm water.
The packaging of the sample sachet is very typical for Skinfood, with its vintage style colors and design. The full size product comes in a very nice jar with a golden lid. It looks really noble, as all products from the Gold Caviar Line appear to be.
The product has a heavy cream-gel texture with a gluey consistency. I didn’t like the scent of the Gold Caviar Nutrition Mask. It was a scent which reminded me of rancid oil or something similar. And since you have to massage the mask into your skin for quite a while the scent is rather obvious and annoying :/ Did anyone try this mask, too, and had the same experience with the scent?
After applying onto your skin and massage it, the sticky texture turns into oil and makes massaging really easy. This mask is indeed very nourishing. It is also very heavy in my eyes. I guess it is good for mature skin. I won’t recommend it for oily skin, but I think it will be great on people with really rough and dry spots. After washing my face with water it left the skin very soft.
Personally I won’t repurchase it, I guess my skin doesn’t need this kind of heavy nourishing skincare yet.
The full sized jar contains 90 g and costs US$ 32.72 at W2beauty. If you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 for registration at W2Beauty you’ll get a 5.00 $ voucher after registration and you can use it immediately for each purpose from US$ 30 onwards. So would pay around 28 US$ in total.
