Review: First Cosmetics Mulbit Vitamin Sparkling Mist

16. April 2017

My short video on Instagram showing the First Cosmetics Mulbit Vitamin Sparkling Mist made many of you quite curious what this product is after all. This is the last product from BNTnews this month and it is also the most fun product from the three I received.

First Cosmetics Mulbit Vitamin Sparkling Mist

First Cosmetics is not a brand that I knew before, but it is also one of many Korean brands it seems. First Cosmetics Mulbit Vitamin Sparkling Mist is a kit to prepare your own DIY mist, containing everything you need to have for doing so. It is beautifully packed in a gift box packaging with holographic sparkles all over. Very elegant and feminin. I love the blue color of the box!

The description of the product is written in Korean only, except for the ingredients. But luckily, BNTnews send the translated instructions, otherwise I would not have been able to do it right ptobably.

The ingredients listed on COSDNA:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Adipic Acid, Sodium Carbonate, Glucose, Sucrose, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, PEG-150, Trehalose, Adenosine, Niacinamide, Hydrolized Collagen, Biotin, Riboflavin, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Powder, Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) Fruit Powder, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis(Rosemarty) Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Powder, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Fragnance, Cl 16185, Cl 19140, Cl 15985, Cl 42090

The ingredients are really ingresting and mostly sugars and plant extracts. Additionally, Niacinamide and Adenosine are also included in the ingredients. apart from the fragnance and the coloring, the only ingredient not labelled green is PEG-150, a binding agent.

Inside the beauty is continued by two bottle: one bottle containing colorful tablets. A second empty atomizer bottle made from glas with golden cap and ornaments lies beside the beautiful tablet bottle.

The tablett bottle has a very oldstyle and beautiful design, but made from hard plastic.

The two bottles look really beautiful to look at next to each other.

The bottle containing the colorful tablet is probably the most eye-catching factor of the kit. Look at all those pastell colors:

There are four different colors of the tablets, blue, yellow, pink, and green. Each color targets a certain skincare problem:

Green contains Rosemary extracts and targets wrinkles, Blue contains Lavender Extract and targets skin reproduction, Yellow contains lemon extract and has brightening properties, and last but not least, Pink contains strawberry extracts for skin condition management.

Yet, with the tablets and the bottles we do not have a mist yet, but we have to prepare it. Therefore, according to the instructions you fill the atomizer bottle with 2/3 with warm water, then you add two of the tablets into the bottle, too, and wait for the magic to happen. The tablets will sizzle and bubble up until fully dissolved into the water, staining it with the color of the tablets used. I used the pink tablets for skin condition management for my test. After the tablets are fully melted you can close the atomizer bottle with the cap, but reopen it after 1 hour to fully let out all the air. Otherwise you will ruin the spray bottle by clogging it. Your selfmade mist is now ready to use.

I only tried one of the tablets, because I’m not using mists daily, so I cannot talk about the effect or the differences between all the colors, but for me the mist was a miss considering the effect because I didn’t feel any differences except from that refreshening feeling that you get by spraying water on and around your face. Yet, probably caused by the sugars, the mist leaves a slightly sticky feeling on the skin. I was only able to test the pink tablet here.

I would probably not repurchase this mist, and also I must state here, that for all and every DIY skincare product it is important to work hygienically…you do not want any molds or bacteria infect your product. Also, depending on the water quality of your living area you might consider to take drinking water…or substitute it maybe with your favourite toner…Also, I would not keep the product for longer than a week. The process is super fun and exciting and I can definetly say that I was entertained here. Another evidence that asian beauty brands are the champions when it comes to “skincaretainment”. But in terms of skincare benefits, I do not really see the use of the product here.

First Cosmetics Mulbit Vitamin Sparkling Mist was fun to use, but did not have sufficient visible effects for me to make it a HG or favorite product for me. The amount of tablets will definitely last you for many weeks though, but unfortunately, I don’t know the pricetag for this new product yet. also, please keep in mind, to work as hygienically as possible when you are dealing with DIY products like that. This might also be something, that is not suited for everyone.
