Today’s review is about Innisfree Color Glow Lipstick in shade No.5 called ‘Plum Burgundy‘. Burgundy is one of the most raved about colors for this years autumn and I was really curious about Innisfree’s Color Glow Lipstick after I saw that they offered two different Burgundy shades for their Color Glow Lipstick Line. They offer a range of 10 different shades by the way and it was really difficult to decide on only one, even for the two burgundy shades I could not decide which one I liked more. I ended up with ‘Plum Burgundy’ because it looked more on the red toned side on the promo pictures. Actually, I imagined the color different, but I love this lipstick anyway. This lipstick was send to me by twofacemall for reviewing purpose. Below you see the description which was written on the box. It is mainly in Korean, but the important points are descriped by the images and keywords on one side of the package:
The packaging itself is clean and simple as it is typical for Innisfree. The box is from recycled paper and printed on with soy ink. I like there design, although it is simple, but I think the white lipstick looks very elegant.
The lipstick itself contains 3.5 g. Since this lipstick is very moisturizing, it can imagine that it is easily breakable. I think this is also the reason for the metal supporting thing around the lipstick. You can wind it up more, if you want, nevertheless.
The color of the lipstick was hard for me to get with my camera. It is a burgundy red shade, as the name also said. Nevertheless, the shade is more on the pink side and not that dark as I thought it would be. Nevertheless, it looks really nice on the lips. Below you can see the swatch of the lipstick on my hand and the lipstick applied on my lips.
The color payoff is really nice though and as you can see on the swatches this lipstick is really far from drying up your lips. It gives them such a nice glossy finish (without being sticky like lip gloss, hehe). Everybody with dry lips who has been afraid of wearing lipsticks because they could be too drying or make the lips look even drier should give Innisfree Color Glow Lipstick a try. Since this is my first Innisfree lipstick, I don’t know if the other lipsticks they provide are similar nor do I know if they are better or worse. I think I will try some more of their lipsticks, probably also from this line.
I really like this lipstick and I like the color, although I thought that it would be a darker shade. The staying power is normal, but the smoothness on the lips and the moist feeling are really nice.

There are so many reviews about this lipstick line atm :D I personally think this color is a tad too dark for me but I think this color suits you! I think red and darker lipstick colors suit you the best because they make a really nice contrast on you :3 This lipstick looks awesome on your lips and I like that it isn’t drying on the lips, I tried the matte creamy tint lipstick from Innisfree and it doesn’t look good on dry lips (if you’re curious about other innisfree lipsticks :D) Anyways, thanks for this review, I tend to blabber a lot about boring stuff in the comments >,<

Very pretty! I think it’s a safe transitional color for those wanting to wear more vampy shades. And I love the simple packaging – it’s very aesthetically appealing to me. The color looks really nice on your lips too!

First time I’ve read about an Innisfree lipstick. :) I’m a lippie junkie so I think I have too much right now, but when I get off my ban I will totally think about getting this, because my lips tend to dry too. :D Thanks for the review.

Ich war auch am hin und her überlegen und wusste auch erst nicht genau welche Farbe ich lieber will. Ich bin zumindest zufrieden, obwohl ich davon ausgegangen bin, dass die Farbe dunkler ausfällt.

I’ve been wanting to try this lipstick ever since I saw the CF with Yoona in it. I wonder though, if this color is similar to the Etude House Rosy Tint #8? I was thinking about that, too. Although I’m not a huge gloss fan, especially not for daily use, because it sticks at my hair as soon as the weather gets a bit stormy or windy…>_< But perhaps I’ll invest in one of the glosses, just to try it, haha.
