Review: Tonymoly I’m Real Lemon Mask Sheet for Brightening

5. March 2014
Here is a short review to another sheet mask from Tonymoly’s I’m Real masks. I reviewed the Avocado mask before (click >>here<<), which was an emulsion type sheet mask. The Tonymoly I’m Real Lemon Mask Sheet for Brightening I’ll describe today is one of the essence type sheet masks from this line. There are 11 different mask types available and they can either have emulsion type essence or milky lotion type essence.

Again, the main reason I bought these masks from Tonymoly is the great design of the packages. I’m still in love with the comic drawings on each of the masks. This mask is supposed to have brightening properties, since it contains lemon extract. It is 5-free, which means that it doesn’t contain parabens, talc, benzophenone, triethanol and tar coloring. Below you can see the ingredient list and description written on the backside of the sheet mask packaging.

This sheet mask was absolutely soaked with the essence. It was so well soaked, that it was dripping when I took it out. It was really a little mess, so I didn’t take any pictures of the sheet mask itself. Anyways, showing the cotton sheets is quite boring, since they look all really similar XD.
The mask has a strong lemon scent at the beginning, but the scent either fades away after a time and becomes pleasant and refreshing, or you start to ignore it. After leaving it on the face for the advised time, the skin feels moisturized. It takes some time until the essence is absorbed fully. After one use I didn’t see any brightening effects on my skin. I’m not sure if it shows any changes after using this mask regularly.
If I would decide between this mask and the avocado mask, I personally would go for the avocado mask, but I think that this mask is suited more for people with oily skin, because it is much lighter than the avocado mask and won’t make the skin greasy.

I’m always interested in lemon masks because my skin needs brightening. Thanks for the review! I have oily skin so this might suite me. XD

The consitency of this mask may be good for your skin, because it is not as greasy as the Avocado mask for example from the same line.

Hope you’ll like it. Please tell me your opinion as soon as you tried…since I have dry skin I’m always intersted in opinions from people with other skintypes.

Sounds great! I’ve been using face mask at least once a week now to give my skin that boost of moisture and to replump any fine lines! I love the packaging, it’s sooo cute, I’d totally buy it to try too!

I love sheet masks that are really really wet with essence, so I’ll have to keep this in mind next time I do a Korean beauty haul. :)

I love them, when they have a lot of essence, but this was such a mess, because normally I put it on and do something else meanwhile, but this was almost not possible…but I liked it nevertheless :D

This is way better for oily type skins than the avocado mask from the same line, I guess. I liked using both of them :) thanks for commenting, Emi ♥

The cartoon lemon looks very cute. I have been wanting to try these, but I can’t seem to finish the big stack of sheet masks that I already have. :)

I know what you mean about having a sample stack which never gets lesser XD But at the moment I’m doing a quite good job in using up everything. Thanks for commenting!♥
