Unboxing: Glossybox Germany January 2014 Fresh Start Edition

This years first Glossybox in Germany is the first box which was completely sold out at the beginning of the month since the time I’m getting it. The reason is probably the announced product inside of every box this time, which is Benefit’s Porefessionale. The theme of January 2014 is “Fresh Start Edition”. Let’s see what I received this month.

The box itself got a new make over for the new year. The material of the boxes is no longer matte, but glossy and the color is slightly pinker than before. Also the light pink unprinted ribbon was changed to a black ribbon with the Glossybox logo printed all over. I personally don’t like the new design. The boxes are more difficult to open and I liked the old design more, because the boxes didn’t look so cheap before. Also, since the logo was not printed on the ribbon and on the lid you could reuse all of it for gifts etc. I hope they will reconsider and change the design back to the old version.

Okay, I will talk about the content now, since this is the important part of it after all:
Here are the items I received this month.

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream (trial size)
Invented by Japanese pharmacist Yoshikiyo Nowatari, Yu-Be (pronounced “YOO-BEE”) is a Glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor. It’s the uniquely high Glycerin content and absorbability achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, which makes Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream so effective on serious dry skin and truly sets it apart from other creams.

I’m happy about the content. absolutely! This is a nice start for 2014’s Glossyboxes. The items fit to the theme of this box, so I don’t mind that there is no decorative cosmetics this time. I’m using the Konjac Sponge daily now, it is so nice to use and so gentle on the same time (that’s why it is missing on the picture below, I couldn’t hold myself XD – actually, I just realized now that it is missing XD). This sponge and the Yu-Be Moisturizing skin Cream were definitively my highlights in this box apart from the benefit product, which is also great. Also the brow set will become handy, since I have bushy eyebrows such things are always useful. all in all I’m happy (I just wish they’ll change the box design back to old). I hope Glossybox will continue this way during this year. ♥

If you are ineterested in any product for me to review, just write a comment below….Also, my sister got this month aMissha BB cream in her Glossybox. she was so happy, and I’m happy, too, because I hope there will be more Missha products in future…or other Korean brands.

By the way, I didn’t present the boxes of November and December yet. Anybody still interested in a post about these two boxes? It seems I didn’t have enough time end of last year….:'(

It’s nice that you got a konjac sponge! I’ve been wanting to try one for a while. I think Glossybox US sent out some Sulwhasoo skin cream a couple of months ago, so it looks like Korean products in mainstream beauty boxes are becoming a trend…

Sometimes they have really nice products, but there are a lot of people not happy about there content. So it depends. I think you simply have to try it for a while and see. I’m curious about the Yu-Be cream. It seems really promising.
