Review: Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash

27. July 2015
Too Cool For School Hot Girl Lash

Spring and summer are always the seasons where the make-up choice gets more colorful. Therefore, I’m introducing the new Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash to you today, a colorful mascara selection by my favorite Korean design cosmetic brand Too Cool For School.

Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash

Too Cool For School is a Korean brand, known for a unique packaging design. Their products are in the mid-pricey region and slightly more expansive than Etude House for example.  The Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash belongs to the Check line of Too Cool For School, which all have a checkered/plaid pattern design as common characteristic. I like plaid pattern in general and it reminds me of school uniforms and/or punk(rock) fashion.

Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash

The Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash mascara comes in a checked cardboard box. The paper of the the box has not only the checked pattern printed on, but also has the pattern imprinted into the surface, so you can feel it. It looks like a high quality packaging that way. The description on the cardboard box is short and in Korean only, but you will find a lot of pictures  and more Korean description on the official Too Cool For School page.

Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash

Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash is a colorful volume mascara, which helps creating a unique makeup look. It is available in three shades, which are No.1 Nuts Brown, No.2 Royal Blue and No.3 Raspberry Pink. I received No. 3 with my BNTnews Box for July, a pink/plum colored mascara. The Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash mascaras come in smaller containers than other mascaras have regularly. Therefore the wand is also shorter, which makes it a bit easier to use and to control.

Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash

The consistency of the mascara is creamy. The texture is soft yet not cakey and allows a long-lasting effect. This product presents the Curl-up Polymer technology, which preserves a water and sweat-proof C-curve for a long time. The wand has a curved shaped, too, as you can see in the images. I tried the mascara on my bare lashes for the images below and used one layer and I must admit that it does a good job in curling the lashes and holding the curl. My lashes are naturally dark, so it is difficult to see bright colors on them. It gives them rather a light pop of color than being super pigmented. since I never were super colorful eye make-up I’m not bothered by that fact. I think it will look much brighter and colorful on people with naturally light/blonde lashes. On the Too Cool For School page you will even see some suggestions on how to in-cooperate these mascaras into pretty eye make-up looks.

Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash

I really like the small size of the Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash mascaras, since it is very travel friendly. Nevertheless, I would love if they added a regular black color to it, although I would be intrigued to try the brown version. Although I’m not really wearing very bright and colorful eye make-up I’m positively surprised by the pink color, since it makes the eyes appear softer and might look good with very minimalistic make-up, too. Considering the curling effect, this mascara does what it promises and give a nice curl, too. The Too Cool For School Check Hot Girl Lash mascaras retail for 12000 Won from the official Too Cool For School page. Since it is a new item it might take some time before it is available in other online stores.

Review: Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda

9. July 2015

Although I’m doubtful about diet and slimming products I have a curiosity to try them out. Most of you have probably heard of these shaping gels, which heat up once applied and promise to make the skin more elastic. Too Cool For School offers another possibility with the Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda, a foam product using air bubbles to stimulate your skin. Oh, just in case you were wondering about the lack of reviews in the last days: my PC crashed and I have not figured out how to make it work again. I will send in the part which I suspect is damaged and hopefully everything is fine afterwards again…Unfortunately, I had and still have to retake all the images for the upcoming reviews :'(…

Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda

The design cosmetic brand Too Cool For School is a Korean brand, known for a unique packaging design. Their products are in the mid-pricey region and slightly more expansive than Etude House for example. The packaging design of the Too Cool For School products is always very creative and unique. I mentioned probably a thousand times how much I love their packaging design, and hands down, the design of the Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda is not only super sexy, but fits perfectly to the advertised purpose of it. As you can see it displays a female body in lingerie and she has a super skinny waist, too :D

Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda

Of course, Too Cool For School provides us with a detailed English description as well (you can click to enlarge the image below). The Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda has 4 in 1 functions: tightening, firming, massage and soothing. The sparkling air spray is a combination of carbonated water and gel for a new bubble experience (you remember the carbonated bubble face wash I reviewed some time ago?). Moreover, the product contains patented ingredients that help to construct a body line. You can check the ingredient list on COSDNA, too. You will see a bunch of plant and fruit extracts mentioned. The packaging states that the beauty ingredients used here are “body toning patented ingredient SLIMLITE, Mate Tea Extract“. The Mate extract contains caffeine, which is the key ingredient of almost all body toning products. The patented tightening ingredient used here is called FRUCTAN, which is known to improve the elasticity. All these ingredients should help to improve cellulite and increase the firmness of the skin, but it also states in the description that the reduce of cellulite is a temporary effect and may depend on the individual. They show some reviews on Too Cool For Schools official site and you can also see some before and after images there.

Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda

As I said, this product is a sparkling air bubble spray which comes in a spraying pump in the same design as the cardboard packaging. It has a clear cap and a regular foam-spray dispenser, which might be familiar to you if you have used hair foams before.

Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda

The bottom of the spraying bottle shows the production date of the product, which has a shelf-life of 12 months after opening. The volume is 150 ml. Before you use the Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda you have to shake it vigorously, otherwise only cold air is released. It says to shake it more than 10 times, spray it on your palms and massage it on the desired areas of your body. Since the foam contained air bubbles you have in total 30 seconds to massage it into your skin before the bubbles have disappeared. You can see in the image below how airy the foam is. It disappears quickly and a thin film of white emulsion remains, which can be massaged until fully absorbed. It also absorbs quickly, but it leaves a bit of a tacky feeling. The air bubble released out of the bottle is very cooling and the carbonated air bubbles tickle the skin, so be prepared for it in case you want to try it yourself. Did I see any changes while using the Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda? Honestly, no! I never had much of cellulite in my youth and even now it is not that bad honestly, but I didn’t feel my skin be firmer either. I loved the cooling properties of the air bubbles though and I can imagine that it has soothing properties and makes the skin feel tighter for the time of the cooling, but it is no long term effect.

Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda

I personally would not repurchase the Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda, but if you had good experience with similar products it might be worth a try. The cooling effect is definitively nice for summer time, but in winter I would prefer the heating body gels :D The air bubbles are fun to try and I can imagine that it has some massage effect due to the sparkling bubbles. Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda retails for 17000 won from the official page (~17 US$). You can also receive it from W2Beauty for 24.96 US$. The Too Cool For School Skinny Body Soda is also available on testerkorea for 13600 Won (14 US$).

Review: Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

8. June 2015

// PR SAMPLE / KBEAUTY //

The Too Cool For School products I tried so far were mostly makeup products rather than skincare, but today I have reviewed the Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap for you. This special duo can be bought as a set or each of the two products can be purchased and used on their own. These two products help to improve the elasticity and the moisture of your skin with the nutrients from eggs.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

The design cosmetic brand Too Cool For School is a Korean brand, known for a unique packaging design. Their products are in the mid-pricey region and slightly more expansive than Etude House for example. The packaging design of the Too Cool For School products is always very creative and unique. I mentioned probably a thousand times how much I love their packaging design. The Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap are no exception. This special duo comes wrapped up in a plastic bag and contains two pump bottles of 50 ml (Egg Mousse Pack) and 70 ml (Egg Mousse Soap).

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

The pump bottles are mainly white, but have a cute doodle on the front showing mixing tools you usually use to beat eggs. The difference between the two products and the design of the bottles  is obviously the color, which is yellow for the Egg Mousse Pack and blue for the Egg Mousse Soap. The pump is protected by a plastic cap and works like hair mousse products: You shake the bottle vigorously and push the pump. You will directly get a thick, foamy mousse product out of the bottle.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

The backside of the Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap bottles contains description in Korean only, but the plastic bag contained a paper sheet with Korean and English description and ingredient list (click the image below to enlarge). The ingredients are also listed on COSDNA and you can look the up >>here<< (Egg Mousse Pack) and >>here<< (Egg Mousse Soap). As the name says the key ingredient of both is egg or better egg yolk extract and albumen (egg white) extract. Albumen and yolk extract have moisturizing and conditioning properties for the skin and it is reported that egg white gives a temporarily relief to pores which leads to the appearance of tightened skin. The Too Cool for School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap contain each 450µg yolk extract and albumen extract, respectively 420 µg. The TCFS Egg Mousse Pack contains safe ingredients, but the Egg Mousse Soap contains two red labelled ingredients unfortunatelly: Triethanolamine and PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate.  If you have very sensitive skin you might want to be careful in that case.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

The direction for both products is super easy! The Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack is a soft whipping cream massage pack. It is supposed to warm up while massaging and be great to use before applying makeup. It brightens and nourishes the skin with help of the egg yolk and albumen. It is advised to use this pack 2-3 times a week, by pumping an appropiate amount of the foam on your dry hands and massage it on your (also dry) face. After that you can rinse off the pack and voilá! The Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Soap on the other hand is a pore washing item. It creates a very dense and tight mousse which can be used for skin cleansing, but also as shaving foam for men. Again you can pump an appropiate amount of the foam on your hands and cleanse your face in the morning and evening. Afterwards rinse it off with water.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

Because you get both products as ready-to-go foam out of the bottle the application is very easy and straightforward. Both products are dense and soft foam, but the foam from the TCFS Egg Mousse Soap is stiffer than the one for the Egg Mousse pack. From the description I expected the Too Cool For School Egg Mousse pack to warm up while massaging, but the warming effect is not really as much as I expected. I was focussing very hard to feel it, if you know what I mean :D Nevertheless, the foam is very smooth and nice to apply. It has a fruity scent to it, which I didn’t expect. After washing it off my skin feels definitively tight, but soft. I didn’t see any differences in the size of my pores nevertheless.  Although I expected the product to have a tightening effect I also have the feeling that my skin is drier, too, so if you have very dry skin I would not use the TCFS Egg Mousse Pack more than the advised 2-3 times a week.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

The Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Soap is a super easy and quickly useable foam cleanser. It has a pH around 6-7 (I’m sorry for those lovers of acid cleansers). In contrast to the Egg Mousse Pack the Egg Mousse Soap doesn’t have that extreme tightening effect but brightens up the complexion after use. The foam is super thick and stiff and it is really nice to work with. Unfortunatelly, the cleanser is not the most powerful one. In the picture below you can see that it doesn’t really clean off the eye crayon, lipstick and bb cream, and also for the eyeliner and mascara I had to wash it very thoroughly. If you are a double cleanser you will probably not mind the weakness of this foam cleanser. I wouldn’t advise you to use this foam cleanser as only step, unless you don’t use makeup/sunscreen. It is a good morning cleanser though, since you usually remove all the makeup in the evening and don’t use sunscreen during nights. Oh, and surprisingly, the TCFS Egg Mousse Soap doesn’t smell fruity, like the Egg Mousse Pack, but it has a soapy scent. It didn’t feel drying on my skin either, but made the skin feel soft instead.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap

My conclusion for the Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap is a positive one. It has some negative points for sure: The weak cleansing power of the Egg Mousse Soap is definitively a con for this product, but I love the easy application and the feeling of the skin afterwards. The thickness of the foam is also great for those who love rich and dense foams. I also like the idea that it can be used as a shaving cream, so you can share it with your husband/boyfriend…The Egg Mousse Pack definitively gives me the tightening effect it promises, but it may be too drying for dry skintypes. Since it is not a daily pack I can live with that point. I wished the warming effect was more noticeable though. You can get the Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack and Soap Special Duo from the official Too Cool For School site. It retails for 18000 Won (18 US$) and contains the Egg Mousse Pack with 50 ml and the Egg Mousse Soap with 70 ml. If you buy the single products you will receive bottles of 100 ml (Egg Mousse Pack) and 150 ml (Egg Mousse Soap) volume, which retail around 12 US$. At W2Beauty the Special Duo retails for 27.85 US$. The large single bottles retail at testerkorea for around 10 US$ each.

Review: Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

14. March 2015

// KBEAUTY / MAKE UP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

I’m totally in love with the Too Cool For School Dinoplatz line and can you imagine how happy I was when I saw this Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher in my MeMeBox Mystery Gift Box, which was my last order with them. Apparently, the main reason I’m so in love with this line is the product design. It is so unique and creative, showing dinosaurs in different situations. It is so funny to look and discover the hints on the packaging. This liquid blush is no exception!

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

Too Cool For School is a Korean brand, known for a unique packaging design. Their products are in the mid-pricey region and slightly more expansive than Etude House for example. The Dinoplatz line has a characteristic design showing dinosaurs in different scenaries. The colors of the packaging are white and a mint color. Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher is a liquid blush, which comes in a tube with a cushion applicator. It is available in three different shades, being 01. Beach Break, 02. Surfs Up, and 03. Lava Martini. The last one is the shade I will show you today. Below you can see the georgeous packaging of the cardboard box:

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

It looks like a beach house and you can actually open the window and take a peak into the box, where you will discover a surfing dinosaur. On one side of the house the shade of the blush is written, on the other sides you will find some information on the product. The description in written in Korean and also the ingredients, which is why I cannot make any remarks about that. However, the key ingredients for the blush are damask rose oil, gamguk flower extract, and madonna lilly flower extract.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

Inside the cardboard box you will find the tube of the blush and one additional cushion. Since this blush comes with a cushion applicator it may get dirty and unhygienic more easily as other blushers. Therefore the idea of putting an additional cushion ist great!

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

It is easy to take of the cushion and replace it, but not that easy that you might have to fear for it to get loose.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

The backside of the tube contains some information on the product again, like the shade and the volume. The tube contains 20 ml, which is a lot! It has a shelf-time of 12 months after opening. The production date is imprinted on the tube, too, but was written at the bottom of the cardboard box aswell (I didn’t take a picture of it).

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

When pressing the tube for the first time you will see how the cushion absorbs the blush. When pressing the cushion a couple of times on your skin it will be soaked completelly and it is ready for application. The shade Lava Martini is the darkest shade of the three available ones. It looks like a rose/pink color in the advertorial pictures. On my swatch below you can see that the applied color is much lighter. It looks very natural on the cheeks. The blush has a moist consitency and feels moist while applying, too. In contrast to my TCFS School Art Class Blusher, which dried off powdery, this one has more a shiny/creamy finish (The review is quite old, and the images are blurry after I uploaded my blogspot blog to wordpress, are you interested in a new review or comparison for this?). The application for this blush is a bit tricky, at least that is my impression: since the color is very light I encountered that it can also be easily blended away by the cushion if you tap if several times. You have to find the perfect pressure on the tube and amount of dabbings for yourself to create the desired pigmentation. Once this is settles, the blush looks very natural and since it feels so moist and has a nice finish it seems a nice blush for summer. About the longlivity of this blush: since it is very sheer I didn’t have the feeling that it was lasting all day. The swatch on the back of my hand was rubbed away easily, too, so don’t expect to much lasting power here. The blush has a soft floral scent to it.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher

This TCFS Dinoplatz Cushy Blusher has pros and cons, but in general it delivers a natural finish and feels moist and nice. People with dry cheeks will like this blush therefore. Also, the idea of having a cushion blusher is nice and makes this a good friend for travelling. The product retails for 20.83 US$ at W2Beauty or at testerkorea for 9800 Won (~10 US$)…I don’t know why the price difference is so high this time…

Review: Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

13. August 2014

When I received MeMeBox Global No. 11 the first product I recognized was the new CC cream by Too Cool For School, called Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City. I’m a huge fan of the Dinoplatz line by Too Cool For School, and previously I reviewed another product from this line, the Dinoplatz Lost Identity Lip Crayon. This line has such a creative and unique packaging and it is so adorable in my eyes! Receiving this product made me super happy, and so finally here is my impression on Too Cool For School’s Dinoplatz Cinema City.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

Too Cool For School is a Korean brand, known for a unique packaging design. Their products are in the mid-pricey region and slightly more expansive than Etude House for example. The Dinoplatz line has a characteristic design showing dinosaurs in different scenaries. The colors of the packaging are white and a mint color. Too Cool For School dinoplatz Cinema City is one of their newer products. It is a CC cream and comes in the full sized version with a blush, a conceiler or a highlighter attached to the cap, which makes it a conventient multi product for travelling/your purse…The tube I will show you is a sample sized tube, only containing the CC cream. Below you can see the georgeous packaging of the cardboard box:

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

The Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City CC cream is usable for 12 months after opening. The further descriptions on the packaging are written in Korean, so I don’t have any detailled information on the ingredients. You can find some informations on the internet though: The product is 6-free, which means it doesn’t contain phtalate, GMO, acrylamide, tar color, benzophenole, steroid or animal derived ingredients. Some ingredients included are argan oil, apricot oil, niacinamide, adenosine and alaska mineral water. This CC cream claims to moisturize your skin, it also contains SPF 30/ PA+++ and contributes to protect your skin from sun damage.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

It comes in a normal plastic tube. As said before, the full size product has a second clear cap attached to the cap, which contains the blusher/highlighter/conceiler. Even the sample size tube has a beautifully designed packaging and cute details on it. ♥

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

The CC cream itself has a light color. It is a fully tinted cream, not a CC cream with color changing beads. The consistency is rather runny. Also, the product needs time to be blended in when using fingers, otherwise it will stay visible on fine lines for example. Maybe a sponge or a beauty blender will do the trick, but I didn’t try it, so far I always used my fingers. The oil controll is medium. After applying, the CC cram leaves a white cast, but it adapts to the skin after a couple of minutes. The scent is floral, but not heavy.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

As you can see above, if blended in quickly with my fingers, the CC cream is visible in the lines of my skin. If you take your time to dabb the CC cream into the skin it looks okay though. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t recommend you to apply a thick layer of this CC cream. It is not suited to be build up, because it tends to look cakey. Below, you see how it looks on my skin. On the image before (left side), I prepared my skin with my skincare routine products (toner, essence, moisturizer). On the right side you see how the skin looks after applying one layer of CC cream. As you can see, the coverage is low, but it evens out the skin tone and brightens up the complexion without looking to unnatural.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City

All in all, Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City is a very natural looking CC cream. If you don’t have a lot of skin concerns, you might like the light finish of this CC cream. If you have more visible skin concerns, you could either add a foundation or a high coverage BB cream on top of this. If you have very dry skin, I wouldn’t recommnd this CC cream to you. It might look to flakey on your skin. People with normal/combination or oily skin might like this more. The full sized product contains 30 ml and costs 25000 Won (around 25 US$) at testerkorea.

Did anybody else try tis CC cream? What is your impression? Did you try the full sized product?

Unboxing: MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11

8. June 2014

It’s another unboxing post for MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11. Yeiiih! :D I have to keep up with the product reviews for the items I receive- there are so many product reviews in my draft, I have to start making a list in order to publish all of them as soon as possible. The problem is that I’m far to lazy for being organized, haha. Okay, let’s see what was in this box finally:

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11

MeMeBox is a box service company, offering a wide amount of different beauty boxes. Unlike most western beauty boxes which have to be subscribed for on a monthly basis, MeMeBoxes can be preordered but that doesn’t force you to buy more than the desired box. They ship to many countries and the products they send in their boxes are mainly Korean. Apart from their monthly Global Boxes like this one, they also have a huge amount of themed boxes, Mini Boxes, Boxes where you know what is inside, so called Superboxes with a higher value and so on…just check out their online store and you’ll find a huge selection of different boxes. Since they have become very popular within the blogger community they sell out pretty fast, but they bring up new beauty boxes so fast, that you cannot keep up with them anyways XD

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11

The first thing jumping into my eyes when opening the box was the product from Too Cool For School. I was uber-happy when I say the mint colored packaging because I knew directly what it was. That’s the first time I receive a MeMeBox featuring a product from Too Cool For School. A double-plus because it is a product from their Dinoplatz line, with the most adorable packaging ever!!! I reviewed another product from TCFS Dinoplatz before :)

Here is the product card with the English description for each of the products. I like the constellation of product types this time.

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11 contains these products:

Dear by Eprani Moistful Booskin (65 ml) – full size (120 ml) costs US$ 31

If you combine Booster and Skin toner you come out with the word “Booskin”. It’s a moisturizing first step for the skincare routine. I heard  some about Eprani products and I was eager to try a product. At the moment I’m testing another toner, so  didn’t open this one yet.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City (10 ml) – full size (30 ml) costs US$ 30

Yeeiih, I love the super cute packaging of the TCFS Dinoplatz line. This is a CC cream from this line…I love the packaging so much and I’m overly happy to be able to try this. Review will be up in a couple of days.

Hope Girl Nail Travel Bling Bling Set No. 04 Gold Shine (full size product)

A nail polish set in a cute packaging. I received the Gold Shine Kit, but there were other kits available , too. I’m happy with the golden polish, because I don’t have any golden polishes yet. I didn’t try it yet.

Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint No. 3 Funky Bloom (2.5 g) – full size (4.5 g) costs US$ 14

Again, a super cute packaging. I love the travel size, because it is so tiny and fits into any pouch! The color is nice, too, it is a nice pinish color, making your lips look more healthy and youthful. I will review this, too.

Illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion (100 ml) – full size (350 ml) costs US$ 24

I would never spend so much money on a body lotion. But I love using body lotions and that’s something you can never have enough from. The scent is fresh and citrus-y and it feels nice on the skin. A review is planned for this one. It can be also used on the face, which is nice.

Illi Green Tea Brightening Mask – full size costs US$ 3

You can never have enough sheet masks and thanks to MeMeBox there will be one addition to my mask stash with every box. I love green tea, so I’m looking forward to use this. Maybe today, since the weather is so hot…

Purederm Botanical Choice Pure Solution Eye Cream (30 ml) – full size (30 ml) costs US$ 34

Last box contained an eye serum, this time we have an eye cream. It seems to be a good cream according to the price. I didn’t open it, since I just started a new eye cream but I’m always happy with eye creams. This one contains Niacinamide, so I guess it will give you a more radiant look.

MeMeBox GetItBeautyBox Global No. 11

Although this box only contains 2 full size products (the mask and the eye cream) I’m very happy. There is some decorative make up and some skincare, so the balance is nice. As I said, especially the TCFS CC cream is a highlight, but the other products look promising, too. Again, a nice box and I absolutely don’t regret buying it. Also, seeing this, I’m super happy about cancelling my Glossybox subscription…

The value of the box is amazing, too, considering the fact that you pay 23 US$ normally, plus shipping (6.99 US$ for standard shipping). But I think I never paid the full price for any of the MeMeBoxes I ordered up to now. They always have so many ways to save money, by coupons and other promotions. I can definitively recommend you to check out MeMeBox online store.

Here is a list of the current events/ promotions to save some money:

For signing up you receive 10 MeMePoints worth 10 US$ at the moment

Free shipping on orders above $70 from Memeshop: FREESHIPPING

$5 off on orders over 3 Memeboxes: MEMEBUNDLE3

For ordering the MeMeBox From Nature you’ll receive 3 MeMePoints worth 3 US$

Also, when making orders of some of the boxes you might get MeMePoints, too, this helps to save the shipping costs for your next order if you get addicted like me XD

You can also read my previous unboxing posts:

Review: Too Cool For School McGirly Good Morning Rice Wash

9. April 2014
It really took me long to write up a review on Too Cool For School’s McGirly Good Morning Rice Wash. First of all, it took me ages to start using it after I bought it. Then I finally did use it, took some pictures, but since then it remained unnoticed in my folder with the unreviewed photos.

The Too Cool For School McGirly Good Morning Rice Wash came in three sachets, each of them containing 2 g of the rice wash powder. I don’t know if it is available in larger quantities than three. For using it you have to pour the powder into a bowl with clean, lukewarm water. Mix it a bit until it is dissolved and the water will turn milky. This does sound a bit complicated for an application in the morning and this was also the reason why it took me so long to review it :D
Honestly speaking, I was a bit underwhelmed by this powder wash. It is not a real cleanser, and I would not recommend to try to clean makeup with it. I think this is nice for people with sensitive skin. If you have cleaned your face in the evening thoroughly, you could go for this face wash in the morning. It is mild, smells nice and feels refreshing. But other than that it does not really work for me. It is too complicated to use in the morning. Also, I don’t think that this will brighten up your skin tone anyway. On the other hand, if you are a person having a lot of time in the morning you might enjoy this step and look at it as a kind of pre-toning your skin.
You can buy 3 sachets at testerkorea.com for 1500 Won (around 1.5 US$). It is not that expensive if you wanna give it a try. The shipping costs depend on weight.

Review: Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Lost Identity Lip Crayon in Lost in Hawaii

12. March 2014
Another lip crayon I’ve tested in the last time. Actually, I wanted to review it looong time ago, but then I decided to review some skincare products first, because back then I was only reviewing lip products XD. This review will be about Too Cool For School’s Dinoplatz Lost Identity Lip Crayon No. 2 called “Lost in Hawaii”.

As you can see, it has a very special product design. I absolutely love the creativity of the packaging. The crayon is packed inside a paper roll with super nice illustrations all over. And it continues inside the paper roll as well. ♥

The TCFS Dinoplatz Lost Identity Lip Crayons are available in three shades. A pink shade called “Lost in You”, an orange shade called “Lost in Hawaii” (This is what I bought) and a mint colored one called “Lost in Dinoplatz”, which is a color changing lip crayon. You can look up the ingredients and the promotional pictures on TCFS’s web page >>here<<.

The lip crayon has a transparent plastic cap and works by twist-up mechanism. This is the most convenient way for lip crayons in my opinion, because you don’t need an extra sharpener. The design of the crayon shows the same illustrations as the paper packaging.
When swatched on the hand, you’ll see, that the color of the crayon is not as pigmented as the crayon itself looks like. It gives a nice orange glow and has a smooth feeling, comparable to a lip balm. If you are looking for a highly pigmented crayon these crayons won’t satisfy your needs, but if you are looking for a natural hint of color these might suit you. Since my lips are quite “dark” the color doesn’t show on my lips like in the promotional pictures. It just gives a hint of orange, which is nice nevertheless. I couldn’t capture the color on my lips unfortunately, so I will only show you a swatch on my hand:
It really glides smoothly on the skin and you can see the shine it provides. This is a very pleasant light crayon in my eyes. It has a very light fruity-citrus scent, but I could only smell it, if holding the crayon directly under my nose. The pros for this crayon are definitively the design, packaging and the natural look it creates. I love to use it when I’m in a hurry and I just want a tiny bit of orange color on my lips :D But unfortunately it also comes with one downside: Since the color is brighter than most of our lips naturally are, it will show off any dry patches or flakes on your lips, so you have to exfoliate your lips regularly, or live with that fact.
You can buy this crayon at www.testerkorea.com for around US$ 11 (shipping depends on weight).
