Review: Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip Red

2. February 2016

// AFFILIATE LINKS / KBEAUTY / LIPS //

This lip tint by Tonymoly has become my favorite long-lasting lip tint and tattoo and I wanted to share this review with you for a long time already. It’s the Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip and as you could have guessed already if you’ve been following me for some time it is a lip tint in my favorite color red. A while ago I reviewed another of Tonymoly’s lip tint as my favorite product, the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight. Seems Tonymoly slowly becomes my favorite lip tint brand :D

Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip

The Korean brand Tonymoly is best comparable to Etude House regarding its popularity. Unlike, Etude House though, the packaging is not princessy-cute, but offers cute designs, too. Especially fruit-shaped products (apples, bananas, mango, peach…) and other creative packaging shapes make this brand interesting for western consumers and therefore very popular.Lip tints have been super popular in Korea for years and there has always been a huge amount of different lip tints by various brands. Mostly, you came across either water-based lip tints or milky-type lip tints. In contrast to lip gloss or lipstick the lip tints look much more natural and are not sticky. They are also perfect for creating the gradient lips which is also popular among Koreans. The new trend have been oil based lip tints, which are less drying than the water-based lip tint. Another new trend are tattoo lip tints. A very popular example for tattoo lip tints are the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack, which I really like and I reviewed them before >>here<< and >>here<<. The Berrisom My Lip Tint Mask needs a bit patient though, because you apply them, leave them to dry and have to peel it off. The Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip  works a bit different though:

Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip

The Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip is available in 4 different colors: Pink (01), Red (02), Ruby (03), and Orange (04). It comes in a regular tint tube with a diagonal applicator for applying the product. There are two ways to use this product: you can either use it as overnight mask on your lips, or you apply it directly anytime you want. The tint is made from food coloring which is safe for the skin to use, this means that the stain will really be long-lasting, and if you use your fingers you will have the stain on your fingers all day! This means, that you should be careful to apply the tint very accurate, because it makes life easier for you aswell ;)

Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip

The product contains a lot of nourishing ingredients like rose hip oil, vitamin E, safflower seed oil, argan oil, jojoba seed oil and shea butter, which makes it great as overnight lip mask. But I was worried about staining my sheets, so I only used this lip tint during day time. I find the oil based lip tints feel more moisturizing, but still I didn’t find my lips feeling dried out. If you apply the tint fully on your lips it first looks very pigmented and has a gloss to it. The gloss will dry off and you will be left with red stained lips. For a softer look you can apply the tint on the inner parts of your lips only and use a cotton swab to blend it out. The lasting power is amazing. I’m using it in the morning and despite eating and drinking my lips are still stained in the evening. The color is not as vibrant as in the morning for sure, but there is still enough color on the lips.

Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip

You can simply touch it up in the evenings for a second time and it will be perfect for any evening occasion. Below you see how long-lasting and pigmented the swatch on my hand is even after washing my hands. Taking a shower removes the vibrant color, but still the stain is visible.

Tonymoly Perfect Lips Shocking Lip

Do I have to tell you how much I love this tint? I can definitively recommend you to try one of these if you are looking for a long-lasting stain on your lips! I bought mine at W2Beauty  for 13.55 US$ and it is totally worth every cent. For those living in the US you might want to check out the prices here on amazon.com, too. Did you try any of these Tints from Tonymoly?

Review: Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

17. December 2015

// PR SAMPLE / BEAUTY / MAKE-UP //

Another post to bring you into the winter and Christmas moods! After yesterday’s Etude House Snowy Dessert Collection today it is all about the latest Christmas/Winter collection by Essence called “Winter? Wonderful!”, which was kindly sent to me for reviewing purpose.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

Essence is a european drug store brand, which is easily available here in Germany, but also in many other countries around the world. Their brand philosophy is against animal testing and their products are really affordable, providing a reasonable quality. The new Essence Trend Edition “Winter? Wonderful!” is available from mid of December until January 2016 and will be perfect for those of you who love winter-themed products. The color range of these products reaches from white, grey and iceblue to warmer, nude shades like light pink and apricot. The key piece of the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection is definitely the eyeshadow palette, but also the four nail polishes from this collection have each different effects like “frosted”, “crystallized” or “iced”.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

Let’s start off with two of the lip products from the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection: the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Tint & Oil No. 01 “if kisses were snowflakes” and the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Lip Balm! The Lip Balm comes in a clear plastic container, so you can see the bullet inside. The bullet looks like ice, since it is a clear balm with shimmering particles. It gives a soft, shimmery finish to the lips. The moisturizing property of the lip balm is okay, but not overwhelming. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a simple lip balm with shimmer particles this product might suit you. The Lip Balm retails for 1.99€. The Essence Winter? Wonderful! Tint & Oil caught my attention because recently oil tints are gaining more popularity. I was hoping for a tint similar to the Tonymoly Shaking tint Delight. No.01 is a light pink color, almost clear with a strawberry scent. It comes in a silver container with an included applicator. Compared to the Tonymoly Oil tint the Essence Tint & Oil is much more similar to a gloss, which means it is kind of sticky and not watery/oily. Unfortunately, I’m not a friend of sticky lip products, especially not during cold and windy seasons, so this one is not my cup of tea. The Tint & Oil is also available in another pink shade called “02 …I’d send you a blizzard”. They retail for 2.99 € each.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

The Essence Winter? Wonderful! Eye & Inner Rim Pencil comes in two shades aswell: 01 cold as eyes and 02 eye candy. I will show you shade 01, a white highlighting pencil, which you can use under your eyes, in the inner corner of your eyes, or in the water-line. The pencil has a harder texture, which means it is good for precise lines, but not suited to be used for eyeshadow, since it is not creamy enough. The color payoff is nice and visible. It doesn’t come with an included sharpener, so make sure to have one at hands. The Essence Winter? Wonderful! Eye & Inner Rim Pencils retail for 1.99 €.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

The last face makeup product I will show you is the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Eyeshadow Palette in “All Ice On Me!”. This palette comes with five different shades: white, grey, light pink, light brown and darker brown. The grey and the light brown color contain shimmer particles, whereas the other shades are matte. The packaging design of this eyeshadow palette is eye-catching, too, since it is illustrated with snow crystals all over. I really love the design of this palette!

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

The backside of the palette contains some description and how to use the eyeshadow palette. The palette doesn’t come with any applicator or brush. The color payoff of the colors is not very pigmented. Even with a primer the colors are very soft. The palette also creates some fall-off, when I’m using my brushes. I would say the colors are more suited for a very natural and soft eye makeup. It will be hard to create any bold makeup though. Also the shimmers are very soft and almost not visible when swatched. The palette retails for 3.79 €. Below you will find the swatches for all the face makeup products:

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection
The Essence Winter? Wonderful! Nail Polishes are available in 4 different shades, plus one Top Coat. The nail polishes are available in 01 the frosted, 02 the semi matt, 03 the iced and 04 the crystallized. The top coat is an ice-topping called 01 a winter’s tale. Below, I used No.01 and No. 03 on my hands. 01 “the frosted” is a white matte nail polish which, which looks like sugar icing. With two coats of that nail polish you can achieve a nice opaque layer on your nails. It dries very quickly, so it is also super easy to apply in several layers. 03 “the iced” is a shimmery, rough effect nail polish. I used it on top of the white nail polish, but it can be used on its own, too. This one needs a bit longer to dry than the frosted nail polish, but they look both very pretty and winter-y on the nails. The nail polishes retail for 1.79 €. The top coat which I didn’t show retails for 1.99 €.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

And in order to have nicely hydrated hands the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Hand Balm is ideal! The packaging of the tube is beautiful and fits perfect to the season. The balm feels nourishing but not too heavy. It absorbs fast into the skin and has a nice scent, too! It retails for 1.99 €. Last, but not least, the collection also includes two hair ties with an attached fake fur pompom! I bet it looks super cute on a ponytail. The hair tie is available in white and in pink/apricot and retails for 1.49 €.

Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection

How do you like the Essence Winter? Wonderful! Collection? What is your impression, or did you try any of the products already? My favourite is the frosted nail polish and the hand balm. But I also like the eyeshadow palette despite the natural pigmentation. The design of the collection is really pretty in my eyes, too!

Just as a short reminder: All products mentioned and reviewed on this blog are of my personal opinions. This product here was sent to me for reviewing purpose by http://www.essence.eu/ which doesn’t influence me in providing my honest opinion on the products.

Etude House Pink Bird Box November “Snowy Dessert Collection”

16. December 2015

If you follow me on instagram or facebook you already know that I was offered to be part of the Etude House Pink Bird Program and I’m really honoured and happy to present to you my first Etude House Pink Bird Box today! The theme of Etude House November Pink Bird Box is “Snowy Dessert Collection”, which is the name of Etude House’s Christmas Collection 2015 on the same time, and as the name already reveals, this box contains products of that collection! If you are curious about some of Etude House’s newest product continue reading, but be aware that this post is picture-heavy :D

Etude House Pink Bird Box

First of all, some words about the Korean brand Etude House: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adorable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging… Etude House is having a blogger program called Pink Bird. Selected blogger will receive a monthly box for a defined period of time packed with selected products for reviewing purpose. Since I’m really a huge fan of Etude House I’ve always looked up to other bloggers who were part of the program in the past and read their posts of previous Etude House Pink Birds eagerly, and now, having a pink bird box in my own hands, makes me really proud and also ashamed, since some of the past pink birds are people I could call blogger-idols :D (please check out bloggers like for example HelloPrettyBird, MangoBeautyTips, or BeautyJunkie…there are many, many more of course!).

Etude House Pink Bird

Opening the Etude House Pink Bird Box November was super exciting! I was so curious about the products of the Snowy Dessert Collection, but also about the other sample kit of the new Honey Cera skin care line, which was part of the Etude House Pink Bird Box, too. Inside the box there was also the Etude House magazine and some advertorial flyers of the two lines which are part of the box. The Etude House magazine is really cute and contains some how-to instructions and makeup tips. Are you interested in some pictures from the magazine? Let me know in the comments!

Etude House Pink Bird

The products of my Etude House Pink Bird Box November were Etude House Snowy Dessert Play 101 Pencils in shade No. 71 and No. 73, Etude House Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint No.3 Grapefruit Tint, and Etude House Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher. Moreover, there was a Honey Cera 4-in-1 Kit, containing the Etude House Honey Cera Nourishing & Elasticity Cream, the Etude House Honey Cera Priming Eye Serum and the Etude House Honey Cera Toner and Emulsion.

Etude House Pink Bird

Let’s start off with the products from the Snowy Dessert Collection 2015: This collection is designed to remind you of all these tasty and lovely Christmas desserts, only here you cannot eat them, but instead use them for your next makeup. The collection contains 5 new and limited colors of the Etude House Play 101 Pencils (I reviewed some of their pencils in the past >>here<<), 5 colors of the Snowy Dessert Pudding Tints, the Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher and Contour Maker, two different Snowy Dessert Hand Creams and two Snowy Dessert Scented Tablets. You can check out the whole collection on Etude House Online Shopping Mall.

Etude House Pink Bird

I was most excited about the Etude House Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher, because it was one of the products I was thinking about to buy, before I knew that I would receive the Pink Box. The packaging of this Blusher is really adorable and fits perfectly to Christmas. The Snowy Dessert Cookie Ginger Blusher comes in a cardboard packaging designed like an oven! This is so cute! I fell in love with this packaging at once!

Etude House Pink Bird

The Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher is a two-toned blusher with a bronze color. It has a sweet ginger bread man imprinted and I really hesitated to use my brush on this blusher, because I feared the cute ginger bread man would disappear. So far I’ve used this blush quite often but you still see the ginger bread man luckily!

Etude House Pink Bird

The color of this blusher is very light and swatched on my hand you hardly see anything apart from a glowy, bronze shimmer. Nevertheless, when I applied it on my cheeks the color is more vibrant and visible, resulting in a brownish/ bronze color which is more than lovely for fall and winter season. The Snowy Desser Ginger Cookie Blusher contains 9 g of product and retails for 16.80 US$. It doesn’t come with a puff or a brush. Some pictures below I also will show you how my complete facial makeup looks like and how the color of this blusher turns out on my cheeks.

Etude House Pink Bird

The Etude House Snowy Desser Pudding Tint in Shade 3 called Grapefruit Pudding comes in a cardboard box designed like those cake boxes you will receive at some bakeries. Another super adorable designed product! Once you open the cardboard box you will find the tint in a small jar together with a spoon/spatula.

Etude House Pink Bird

The Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint has a pudding texture, as the name suggests, which also remind me a bit of some mousse or other desserts like that. Kind of a bouncy texture. The spatula has a soft plastic tip. You can use it like a spoon to scoop out the pudding tint. The spreading of the tint is better done with the backside of the spoon, or with a separate lip brush or your fingers. The color of the pudding tint is super vibrant and highly pigmented, but also can be blended in as soft gradient. As for the staying power of this lip tint the stain is visible quite a long time. It may be not as vibrant as when you apply it, but it doesn’t look bad either. If you have dry lips you should exfoliate your lips definitely in advance, otherwise the vibrant pink color will cling to every dry lip flake or wrinkle. The lip tint jar contains 5.5 g and retails for 10.40 US$.

Etude House Pink Bird

The Etude House Snowy Dessert Play 101 Pencils, which I received in shade No.71 and No. 73 are both pencils with a shimmering finish. They come in a plastic box and have a stripe design. No. 71 is a light pink color, whereas No. 73 is a light pearly color.

Etude House Pink Bird

Both shades are super pretty for the under-eye area or the inner corners of your eyes for highlighting. You can twist up the pencils and there is also a tiny sharpener included for sharpening the tip of the pencils. The texture of the product is a creamy type pencil, so it is also useable as eyeshadow for example. I love the shades, because they are really subtle and yet have such a pretty sparkle. Each pencil contains 0.5g and retails for 7.80 US$.

Etude House Pink Bird

In the image below I used all the products I received from the Snowy Dessert Collection to create a makeup look. I used the Ginger Cookie Blusher on my cheeks, the Grapefruit Pudding Tint on my lips and I used the Play 101 Pencil shade No. 71 on my lid and shade No. 73 under my eyes for highlighting. I really like the combination of all the colors for this soft and yet fresh look.  There are some discounted Snowy Dessert Makeup Sets available on Etude House which come with a Snowing in my Hand Snow Pen as gift!

Etude House Pink Bird

Last but not least the Etude House Pink Bird Box November contained the Honey Cera 4-in-1 Kit. The new Etude House Honey Cera line contains honey as key ingredient for nourishing and moisturizing. Furthermore, it contains Royal Jelly and Ceramide. Royal Jelly has nourishing properties like the honey and Ceramide strengthens the skin barrier. Also, you will find extracts of the Helichrysum italicum or also called Italian Immortelle or Curry Plant in the Etude House Honey Cera Line. The purpose of this extract is soothing and moisturizing. Aim of this line is to make the skin plump and nourished and give it the “honey-look”. These ingredients are perfect for winter-time and for dry and rough skin types!

Etude House Pink Bird

I cannot say anything about the long-term effects of this set since it is too few to make any conclusions, but from my first impression I really like this kit. The scent is a nice sweet and flowery scent, but nothing like honey as I imagined before. Unlike most other toners the Honey Cera Toner has a milky color, but the consistency is watery nevertheless. It absorbs quite fast without stickiness. The emulsion is a lightweight lotion, whereas the cream has a thick and nourishing consistency. The cream also leaves the skin a bit tacky afterwards, but definitively  the nourishing and firming aspect is noticeable. The eye serum looks like a balm but is very light and doesn’t feel heavy. It feels nice under and above the eye. Toner and Emulsion contain 15ml each, the eye serum contains 4 ml and the cream contains 10 mg of product. If you order any of the Etude House Honey Cera products in fullsize you will reveive one of this kits with your order!

Etude House Pink Bird

Finally, I’m at the end of my first Pink Bird Box review. Did you like the content of Etude House Pink Bird Box November? I really like the topic of the Christmas themed products and the winter-proof skincare items to combat dry winter skin. Which are your favourite products? Did you try any of the products already? Tell me about it in the comments below!

Etude House Pink Bird

Just as a short reminder: All products mentioned and reviewed on this blog are of my personal opinions. This product here was sent to me for reviewing purpose by http://www.etudehouse.com/ which doesn’t influence me in providing my honest opinion on the products.

Review: Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge

8. November 2015

// AFFILIATE LINKS / KBEAUTY / LIPS //

It’s been a while that the Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge liquid lipstick (or better to say lip laquers?!) have been released, and I bought one of the shades back then in order to review it quickly and close to the release date. But then my computer crashed and it took ages to repair it. Finally, after many weeks and months here is my review for the Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge in shade CRD01!

Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge

Missha is one of the worldwide famous Korean brands, especially their Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream is one of the most famous BB creams. They have a lot of online stores all over the world and are available in US/Canada, Australia and since some time they even opened up an online store for Germany, and a physical store in Ingolstadt in Germany! The products always come in a very luxurious looking packaging and the design is usually very mature and elegant and I think that it can be liked by almost everyone. The Missha Painting Rouge line, a collection of liquid lipsticks, was released with two version. There is the Missha Syrup Painting Rouge and the Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge. The words “chiffon” and “syrup” explain how the lip rouges feel when applied on your lips. The Syrup Painting Rouge leaves your lips with a gloss and moisturized, whereas the Chiffon Painting Rouge has a feeling like velvet on the lips, yet it is not a matte lip rouge, but has a lipstick like glow. The packaging design of both versions is similar and also very neat and simple. In total there are 5 different shades for each the Syrup Painting Rouge and the Chiffon Painting Rouge.

Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge

As you can see, the packaging of my Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge comes only with Korean description, but you can find the English and the German version (and many more) for both products on the official Missha pages. Although it may be that the product is not available in all countries yet.

Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge

Honestly, the name “chiffon” made me think of matte lips first, but already on the advertorial pictures you can see that it is a soft finish, but shows some glow. I was really curious about the texture. The Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge comes in a rectangular container with a doe-foot applicator and the first time I used I was really surprised about the feel of the product on the lips. Similar to the Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer it feels super soft on the lips, more like some velvet canvas. It is not sticky, but feels powdery when you press your lips against the back of your hand for example. Nontheless, it looks moist. The more you dabb it with your finger the more the gloss dissapears and it can be blended out to a soft tinty color without glossyness. Having said that, you can already imagine that this product is not transfer-proof. But the texture makes it useable as a blush, since the finish is powdery after blending it. The applicator is easy to use, but is not ideal for creating sharp lines. I would use a lip brush for creating sharply defined lips with this product, otherwise there is the risk of feathering borders. Generally, this is perfectly suited for creating gradient lips and applying it in the center of the lips mainly and blur it outwards.

Missha Chiffon Painting Rouge

Despite the application of the Missha Chiffon Rouge Paint, which can be tricky if you are a perfectionist, I totally love the color and the powdery feeling instead of a sticky gloss feeling! The pigmentation of the color is great, too, although it transfers easily and is not long lasting. Nevertheless, the stain will stay on your lips for quite a while, but for the pigmented lips you will have to reapply it. You can get the Missha Chiffon Rouge Paint from W2Beauty  for 8.92 US$. For those living in the US you might want to check out the prices Amazon, too. If you live in Germany you may also get these lip rouges from the German Missha store for 7.90 € and it will be at yor doorstep after a couple of days.

Review: Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

1. September 2015

// AFFILIATE LINKS / KBEAUTY / LIPS //

The Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight is my favorite tint product at the moment! These oil-based lip tints are quite frequent these days and I was curious about them since I read a review about the It’s Skin Oil Lip Tint at Shia’s blog. She also reviewed the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight later. I can recommend you reading her blog (it is written in German though).

Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

The Korean brand Tonymoly is best comparable to Etude House regarding its popularity. Unlike, Etude House though, the packaging is not princessy-cute, but offers cute designs, too. Especially fruit-shaped products (apples, bananas, mango, peach…) and other creative packaging shapes make this brand interesting for western consumers and therefore very popular. Lip tints have been super popular in Korea for years and there has always been a huge amount of different lip tints by various brands. Mostly, you came across either water-based lip tints or milky-type lip tints. In contrast to lip gloss or lipstick the lip tints look much more natural and are not sticky. They are also perfect for creating the gradient lips which is also popular among Koreans. Many people have problems with lip tints, because they are not hydrating the lips, since they don’t have a butter or fat as basic ingredient like balm type products, and often when using a balm over the lip tint the staying power of the tint is reduced.

Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

The Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight is a oil-based lip tint, which means it has a tint phase and an oil phase. By shaking the two phases you will get a homogeneous lip tint which also contains enough oils so your lips don’t feel dry. The Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight is available in three colors. The tint I bought is called “Shaking Red” (#02) and has a red color. The packaging of the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight is simple and yet cute. The bottle comes in a cardboard box which is decorated by stars. You can find the decoration on the cap of the bottle, too. The applicator is attached to the cap, as with most lip products of this kind. The cardboard box contains Korean and English descriptions. Nevertheless, I find the directions in English quite missleading.

Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

Usually, when you do not shake the tint you will see the two phases of the product clearly. The clear oil layer lies atop of the pigmented tint layer at the bottom. The main way to use the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight is to shake the two phases until you get a homogeneous red tint. After shaking you apply the tint mainly on the inner parts of your lips and then blend it outwards. The official Tonymoly page says that you can get a less vivid look by not mixing the two layers and using the oil phase like a gloss after having applied the tint.

Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

source: http://www.etonymoly.com/

I discovered that I like the mixed product better than a natural way to apply it. The more you shake the product the better it looks on the lips. Below you see a swatch of the two phases when not mixed fully. The tint phase and the oil phase can be clearly seperated from each other. The tint has a fruity scent, but it is faint after applying it on your lips. The taste is the typical bitter taste of lip tints first, but after 1-2 seconds you taste nothing at all!

Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

I love how the mixed tint applies on the lips. In contrary to the water based tints that don’t have much of moisturizing properties the oil-based Tonymoly Shaking Delight Tint feels not drying, but nourishing and gives the lips the perfect soft feeling. The gradient effect which can e created with this tint looks natural, but the color is vivid nevertheless. The stain is longer lasting than the stain of the water based lip tints and reapplying the tint always looks nice and never makes the stains from before look ugly.

Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight

The Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight is my favorite tint so far and I’m using it almost everday since I received it! I can definitively receommend you to try one of the oil based tints yourself! I’m sure I will buy other oil based tints now and maybe also all the remaining colors from the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight. I bought mine at W2Beauty  for 10.38 US$. For those living in the US you might want to check out the prices Amazon, too. Did you try any of the oil-based tints yet?

Review: Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint

25. July 2015

I didn’t make a lip makeup product for quite some time, but I have some new additions to my stash. This here is the Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint, a long lasting lip tint which was introduced by SISTAR’s SoYou. I’m not much into K-Pop, but I know that many of you are familiar with the K-Pop idols.

Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint

Forencos is a Korean brand which sells environmental cosmetics since 1988. The brand has quite a range of skincare and makeup products, but in the internationally known Korean online shops they don’t have a lot of products from this brand, which is why it is quite unknown. They have 7 main issues within their brand philosophy: skin rejuvenating, skin refreshing, skin revitalizing, skin relieving, skin regeneration, skin revival and skin resolution. I did review some sheet masks from this brand and you can take a look at the reviews >>here<< and >>here<<.

Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint

The Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint comes in 7 different shades and if you know the Korean language you will find a lot of decsription about the product on the official Korean page. The cardboard packaging of this lip tint on the other hand doesn’t have much descriptions printed on, except from the shade. The shade I will show you here is No. 4 “Lol Lol Lol”, a coral pink tone. The design of the lip tint container is simple, yet elegant, with a golden cap which holds the applicator.

Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint

The Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint is supposed to be a long lasting lip tint providing moisture without being sticky. Moreover it is supposed to give high pigmentation for smooth lips and have a refreshing lip-gloss formula. When swatched on the back of my hand the first thing I notice is the bubblegum scent this lip tint has. It applies like a milk type tint, not a water or oil based tint. The color is vivid , but can also be blended in in order to create a more toned down look or gradient lips.

Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint

Application of the Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint on my lips is easy and feels very smooth. It reminds me of the matte lip products like Skinfood Milky Rose Vita color Lip Lacquer, which have a more velvety feeling on the lips. The finish is not matte, but it isn’t glossy either. I would say it has the typical finish for milk type lip tints. The pigmentation is good and it even is nicely visible on darker lips. Usually I have problems with pink shades because they do not show up nicely on my lips or settle to heavily in my lip lines, but this one looks nice and spreads without being patchy. Although it has a bubblegum scent the taste of the Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint is not sweet as I expected, but somehow salty…I do not like the taste to much, but it is still better than the usual bitter taste of most lip tints. The lasting power of this lip tint is not strong either. Without drinking or eating it holds up to 2-3 hours, but as soon as you drink or touch your lips in any other way it will transfer and fade. It doesn’t look odd while fading though.

Forencos_LipsinLove_5

I do not have many lip tints of that color, since I usually choose the cherry and red shades, so it is nice for me to have a pink/coral shade in my collection now which also shows up on my lips. This is also the reason why I’m using the Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tint surprisingly often in the last weeks.  I couldn’t find any translated ingredients here, so I didn’t include them into my rating, but all in all this is a solid lip tint. The price of 19000 Won on the official Forencos page is quite high though, so I would personally not buy it again, although there are some other interesting colors for the Forencos Lips In Love Lip Tints. Did you try any products from Forencos already? What are your impressions?

Review: Aritaum Water Sliding Tints

14. April 2015

As announced in my previous Aritaum review I will show you the Aritaum Water Sliding Tints today. Honestly, I didn’t plan on buying these, rather I wanted to try the popular Aritaum Honey Melting Tints, but when I finally decided on specific shades the Water Sliding Tints were released and I read in reviews that these are less sticky than the Honey Melting Tints. This fact changed my decision and I selected two shades from the Aritaum Water sliding tints instead.

Aritaum Water Sliding Tints

As you know, I love Aritaum lip products. I started to know this brand with the Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Tints and I also did love the World Glam Coating Tint I tried. Aritaum is a Korean brand which belongs to the Amore Pacific family. It is an affordable drug store brand, but provides good quality products. The Aritaum Water Sliding Tints promise to have a silky feeling, being leightweight and sliding over your lips. I do like moiosturizing lipsticks and tints, which made this product really interesting to me. Since it is a solidified liquid lipstick you only need to push out not more than 1 mm of the bullet. An important note here: the bullet is not retractable once it is pushed out!

Aritaum Water Sliding Tints

The design of these liptints is similar to the Honey Melting Tints and quite simple. Each shade has a different colored cap to show the color of the tint. The name of the shade is also printed on the sides. I chose No.7 “Crazy Ruby” and No.12 “Fruits Punch”. “Fruits Punch” seems to be very poular, because when I first wanted to order these from testerkorea it was out of stock quickly. In total there are 15 shades availbale. The number of the shade and the name is also printed on the bottom of the lipsticks in Korean. Some transparant sticker on the side also show short Korean descriptions and also seal the new product, but these stickers are easily removable, so the lipstick looks still nice after peeling these off.

Aritaum Water Sliding Tints

I chose No.7 “Crazy Ruby” since it looks like a classic bright red shade in the promotional pictures. It looks a bit different when swatched and a bit more cherry red, but still it is a bright color. No.12 “Fruits Punch” is a coral/pink and beautiful summer color in the advertorial pictures. Swatched it looks less pink but more like a red/coral or peachy shade. I can recommend you to take a look at other swatches from bloggers before deciding which shade to buy. It helped me selecting shades a lot.

Aritaum Water Sliding Tints

The Aritaum Water Sliding Tints contain Argan oil and other fruit oils for moisturizing properties. And they do not only claim this, but they also deliver in that point. The product glides super softly over the lips and feels like those soft lipbalms you get in tiny tubes. It smells fruity and nice, but the scent is no lingering one, so people with sensitive noses will like it, too. Furthermore, although more like a lipbalm the Aritaum Water Sliding Tints have a noticeable pigmentation. The less product you use the softer and lighter is the pigmentation, but if you use like two layers you will get nicely covered lips. Below, you will see how the two lip tints look on my lips. Both colors look actually brighter in real life than in the images. Since the product is buttery soft I would recommend you to push up the bullet little by little. You will not need 1 mm necessarily. Also, a little warning: the brighter the color you pick, the more it will settle into lines because it melts into the structure. Although I like both colors really a lot and I do use them daily (almost daily- in turns with Innisfree Creammellow Lipsticks), I have to point out that “Crazy Ruby” is easier to handle than “Fruits Punch”. When the color starts fading (it is not longlasting, since it is comparable to a lip balm) “Crazy Ruby” looks prettier than “Fruits Punch”. This is mainly because my natural lip color is darker than the color. The moisturizing effect lasts for about 3-4 hours which is nice, too. Although this tint looks super glossy and moisturizing it is not really sticky either.

Aritaum Water Sliding Tints

Do I recommend the Aritaum Water Sliding tints? Yes, I do! I love them for every day use and they feel so moisturizing and nice on the lips! I want to try “Wild Srawberry” and “Caribbean Red”. I also do think that these will be my first lip products that I will be able to really use up, which is mostly because of the fluid formula :D You can get these from testerkorea (but some colors are out of stock) for 8100 Won (~8 US$) or at ibuybeauti for 8.70 US$.

Review: Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

26. March 2015

At the end of last year I did a review for the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack, a lip tint tattoo with plenty of popularity in Korea. I really enjoy using it, which made me decide to buy a second shade. There was a special promotion at this time, where you received a free Berrisom Lip Tint Cleanser with you purchase of the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack, so I will review the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser today. It will be a picture-heavy post, but you will see a comparison of the swatches of the shade I bought previously (No.3 “Sexy Red”) and the new shade I bought (No.8 “Virgin Red”).

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

Berrisom is one of the Korean brands available at Wishtrend. They are mostly known for the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack I’m showing you here, but they offer some more products in the skincare range, too. The Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack (there was an old version called Berrisom Chu~ My Lip Tint Pack and now it is Oops~ My Lip Tint Pack) is available in 8 different shades. You can use these lip tint packs in order to give your lip a different tinted color. The packaging is designed with kissing lips all over. The color of each box is adjusted to the shade of the tint pack. The color I chose this time is called “Virgin Red” and is a real red color as opposed tob the cherry red color I bought last time. Apparently, there are some fake products from China on the market atm, but there are images on Wishtrend how to detect between the original and the fake product >>here<<.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

The description on the cardboard box is in Korean, but you can look up a very detailled description in English on Wishtrend. There you will also find the ingredients of this lip tint pack, which are all safe according to COSDNA. Moreover, this product contains a lot of plant (fruit) extracts in order to give some care to your lips, too. This makes it a “mask function lip tint” according to the product description.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

Below you can see the two tubes I own right now. On the left side you see No.3 “Sexy Red” and on the right No.8. “Virgin Red”. Both of them contain 15 g of lip tint pack. The new shade I bought has also the shelf life printed on the backside, which is 6 months after opening. Both have sealed caps, and as you can see I’ve used them already, which is why the seal is broken :D.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

The applicator is made of plastic and with my last review I said that the application can be a bit tricky. As you can see below they have changed the applicator and made it thinner, which makes it easier to apply than before. Since it is a peel-off tint pack it is not too important to have precise outlines. For a gradiant lip tint look you’ll have to apply the product on the inner parts of your lips anyways. The lip tint pack has a jelly like constistency, which is a bit sticky (and it has to be), since you’ll have to peel it off afterwards.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

The Berrisom Lip Tint Cleanser comes in the same tube packaging as the Berrisom My Lip Tint Packs. It has a white packaging color though.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

Like the lip tint packs the cardboard packaging contains directions and description in Korean and in English. you can also read more about the cleanser on Wishtrend. Also here the ingredients are safe to use and can be looked up at COSDNA. The Berrisom Lip Tint Cleanser does not only clean your lips from the lip tint, but also contains scrub particles to exfoliate your lips and make them smooth again. Like the lip tint packs it contains 15 ml of product.

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

Now, let’s talk about the exciting part, namely the swatches: Below you can see the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack in “Sexy Red” and “Virgin Red”. From the color of the pack itself you can already see the difference between the two shades. As advertised, “Sexy Red” is a cherry-toned red shade, whereas “Virgin Red” is a strawberry-toned red. After peeling the pack of you can see that both shades leave a visible stain on the back of my hand. And even more important, the shades look distinct. Below the two swatches I will show you the performance of the Berrisom Lip Tint Cleanser, which is a gel-like product with particles inside. When rubbing it over the swatches some of the particles agglomerate with the color of the tint. After rubbing for a while (it is suggested to scrub the lips 1-2 minutes with the cleanser), you can wipe of the product with a tissue or wash it of with water as you like. The image at the bottom shows the result and as you see, there are still some light traces of the lip stain on my hands. This describes how amazing the staying powder of the product is!

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

In order for the lip tint pack to work you have to apply a layer of the product on your lips. It doesn’t need to be too thick, just it has to cover your lips. Then, you’ll leave the pack to dry. As soon as the lip tint pack has dried you can peel off an edge and remove the rubber-like layer of the tint. Your lips will be stained from the pack in color you selected. Below, I will show you how the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack in “Virgin Red” looks on my lips:

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack and Lip Tint Cleanser

My verdict for this product is still the same as before: The Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack gives your lips a natural and yet visible color. The staying power of this stain is good, as long as you don’t eat do much oily and fatty food. It doesn’t transfer either. Keep in mind that the tint will look best on your lips, if you exfoliate your lips before, so your lips are not too dry or flaky. I didn’t have the feeling that the peeling off hurt my lips in any way. It is also best to start off with your upper lip, because it usually stains less than the lower lip. If you start with the upper lip and peel it off after the lower lip, too, it will have some more time to get stained. The only downside of this lip is, that it takes some time to dry, so it is not an easy to use product for a quick touch-up. You can select between 8 shades  and you will find that they come with a free Berrisom SOS! My Lip Patch at the moment. They also discounted the price from 15.99 US$ to 8.99 US$ at Wishtrend, which is pretty affordable in my eyes! I also made a post about the promotions Wishtrend offers for March >>here<<. Also, keep in mind their friend-referral program: You can receive a 5 Us$ referral coupon if you use my invitation code 17939205 upon registration and you’ll receive this voucher immediately. There will be a specific field in your registration form called “friends invitation program” where you can put the code mentioned above. This way new customers can safe 5 US$ which is a great possibility to safe some money.

Who tried these Berrisom My Lip Tint Packs already?

Review: Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

12. March 2015

// KBEAUTY / MAKEUP / AFFILIATE LINKS //

This product has probably been reviewed dozends of times in the blogger comunity, nevertheless I would love to share my opinion about it with you. The Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint is most likely one of the best known and still best selling products from Etude House. Koreans love their lip tints and if you like tint you’ll find so many different ones. And although I love tints, too, I did not purchase too many yet, simply because this is the only lip product I actually seem to use up after a while :D By the way, is anybody interested in a lip product collective post? :D

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

Some words about Etude House to start with: Etude House is one of the best known Korean brands for cute packaging. If you are a lover of cute, girly and pink packaging, reminding you of being a child and the princess you always dreamt to be, THIS is your brand. Their packaging is usually so adoreable that you cannot keep yourself from impuls-buys – only because you saw the packaging…Also here, the packaging design looks lovely. As the name says, the packaging is covered with cherries all over. The design of the cardboard box is kind of pinup- vintage style and really lovely. There are four different shades for this tint and each of them has packaging colors fitting to the color of the product. The Etude House Fresh Cherry tint I bought is in shade RD301, Cherry Red.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

Apart from the cute cardboard box packaging the liptint itself comes in a cute bottle, too. The description on the cardboard box is in Korean and in English. The lip tint is supposed to offer moisture and shiny lips. It is a cream/milk type tint, in contrast to watertype tints like Benetint, for example. You can find the ingredients of the lip tint on Etude House Official. According to COSDNA there are no harmful ingredients.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

The bottom of the bottle and the top of the cardboard box reveal the shade of the lip tint. On the bottom of the bottle you’ll find the production date printed, too! When the Etude House Official Online store opened a lot of customers were confused with that, because they thought it is the expiration date.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

The cap of the bottle comes with the applicator brush. The tint itself is creamy and feels moisturizing. It gives the lips a nice glossy and plumping effect. The Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint smells and tastes fruity and I love that point. colorwise it is less cherry red but more cherry pink toned. I had some samples of this tint before, so I knew about the color.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

The tint looks pretty on the lips. As you can see in the pictures below the color of the tint is more visible in the center of my lips. I encountered this with many tint products. Nevertheless, it gives your lips a nice pop of color and the stain is lasting some time, too. As usual, it won’t stay as you apllied it after eating/drinking, but a hint of color will remain.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint

This tint has several advantages: it is cheap, it gives a nice pop of color to your lips, it smells and tastes delicious! Moreover, I didn’t feel that the lip tint is drying on my lips. The downside may be that it tends to gather up in the inside of the lips, so some won’t like the way the lip tint applies. If you love lip tints you need one of these in your collection! I bought mine from Etude House official online store. It retails for 6 US$ there, but shipping is high and I would recommend you to wait for some free shipping event and make a larger purchse. You can also get this from W2Beauty for 4.50 US$ or from testerkorea for 4300 Won (~4.50 US$).

Review: Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer

5. March 2015

Although I didn’t like the Etude House Color Lips Fit too much I didn’t give up matte and moussy lip products. I decided to give a try to Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer, which was released together with some of my favourites. the Skinfood Rose Essence Blusher and the Rose Shake Point Makeup Remover. This product is a mousse type liptint and lipstick in one and it comes in the shape of a pen.

Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer

Skinfood is one of these brands which are competing with Etude House in terms of design– in my opinion at least. It is a Korean brand with vintage appearing design of their products which occupied my heart very quickly. The products are using the beneficial effects of ingredients, which are familiar to us in terms of “food” like vegetables and fruits. Their motto “Food that is good for your health, is also good for your skin.” reflects this brands’ ideology nicely. Their spring make-up collection of 2014 was called “Milky Rose”and the design of the products offered within this collection is beautifully selected, showing vintage-style rose drawings and pastell pink packaging. The design is really beautifully chosen and fits perfect for a spring collection. Apart from the Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer nailpolish, blusher, make-up remover and a make-up fixer were offered.

Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer

As I said, this lip lacquer comes in a pencil shaped packaging. It has a brush tip similar to the Missha The StyleTinted Jelly Lips where the product comes out when pressing the bottom side of the pencil. The material of the pencil is made of plastic, but it doesn’t feel easily breakable. I chose shade CR02 “Milky Coral” out of the 9 available shades.

Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer

At the bottom you’ll find the button to press in order to make the product come out of the brush tip. The instruction says to push it 2 times. Depending on how much product you want you can also click less or more. When swatched the product comes out as a shiny, creamy tint. It tends to feather around the edges into the fine line of the skin. After a while it dries of matte.

Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer

While applying the mousse feels very soft and velvety, similar to the Etude House Color Lips-Fit. It is not drying but moussy in the texture. It has a light scent of ginger/citrus to it. The color looks like a mixture of orange and red, whith a peach undertone. Not exactly as the color I expected from the swatch, but this maybe due to my skincolor and lipcolor. Since the color is bright it will be visible in your lip lines more, if you have darker pigmented lips. If you have dry lips you should definitively exfoliate before using this lip product (and also with other matte or semi-matte lipsticks). Unfortunately, the Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer is not transfer or rub proof. It smears easily and is not longlasting either.

Skinfood Milky Rose Vita Color Lip Lacquer

Do I prefer this over the Etude house Color Lips-Fit? Yes, I do! It feels nicer on the lips and feels less drying. Also the brush tip makes the application very easy. I prefer to only use it as gradient lips using a small amount of the product. Nevertheless, I would not claim this as my new favourite lip product. I’m still on the hunt for a good mousee/matte lip product. Maybe I would have liked this in a darker red shade more, than in this light shade, because of the color accumulating in the fine lines of my lips….who knows?! If you want to give it a try it retails for 5400 Won (~6 US$) on testerkorea.
