// UNBOXING / FOOD / PR SAMPLE //

Japan Candy Box has made some changes in their boxes regarding design, booklet and pricing and that means it is time for a new unboxing for this Japanese sweets subscription box! This is the Japan Candy Box April 2018! As usual, there will be a giveaway at the end of this post where you have the chance to win a Japan Candy Box, so ikeep on continue reading! ;) Let’s see what delicious sweets I received this time:

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Japan Candy Box is a Japanese sweets subscription box by Blippo. Apart from the Japan Candy Box they also have the Kawaii Box, which contains cute toy items, stationary, tiny plushies and so on. I’m very happy to be able to show you the Japan Candy Box April 2018! I love to try out sweets and food from different countries and one thing I especially love about Japanese products is the cute packaging design and the little details they include to make the product most enjoyable. I knew some of the products already from other snack boxes, but there were some new and also delicious discoveries, too!

Japan Candy Box April 2018

The Japan Candy Box comes in a cardboard box with purple print. Everything here screams already “cute” just from looking at the box. The cute theme is continued inside and here we have the new description card. But instead of the usual card they have now changed it to a brochure.

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Now we see small illustrations to each of the products along with the description, which makes it so much easier to know what is what. Still, the box is filled with 10 different products, varying from sweet to salty. The topic of this month is of course the Sakura Season! Cherry blossoms are always am important thing in Japan, but the season is also about being together and havinf picknicks outside.

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Let’s see what we have inside this time:

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Kit Kat Dark Chocolate Mini Bar

Japanese dark chocolate version of Kit Kats. The flavor is written as ‘otona no amasa’ which translates to ‘adults’ sweetness’. This Kit Kat combined the crunchy waver with dark chocolate.

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Pocky Natural Strawberry Biscuit Sticks

Who loves Pocky Sticks? I do! I’m always looking for some when I’m in an asian grocery shop. These sweet strawberry Pocky sticks have no artificial colors or flavorings and the packaging design is so adorable!

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Kabaya Puchi Purin Pudding Chocolates

Another perfect packaging design! This cup looks even like a pudding cup, but inside are tiny mini chocolates shaped like traditional Japanese pudding.

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Kasugai Rose Aroma Ramune Candy

Love the packaging here again! Somehow it reminds me of a sheet mask or skincare packaging though! These are rose flavored ramune candy blended with catechin and rose petal extract.

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Meiji Fruit Gumi Peach Gummy Candy

One of the best selling soft candy in Japan! I had these in another box already and enjoyed them. They are made with concentrated, real peach juice preserving the real fruit taste.

Japan Candy Box April 2018

Koikeya Scorn Wafu BBQ Corn Snacks

Now on to some salty snacks. Here are salty and savory Japanese-style barbecue flavored corn puffs. Barbecue is always a good joice when it comes to snacks.

The delicious taste of caramel and the crispiness of the corn puffs make these a perfect snack!

Unboxing: InStyle Box Spring 2018

8. April 2018

//PR SAMPLE/ UNBOXING/ BEAUTY //

It’s spring, and this means it is time for another InStyle Box! The InStyle box has become one of my favourite subscription boxes, for several reasons: first, it is not a monthly box, so you have enough time to use up the products that you receive. Second, it is always filled with so many versatile products, and really stands out among other subscription boxes. I received the InStyle Box Spring 2018 for reviewing purpose and here is what’s inside:

InStyle Box Spring 2018

The InStyle Box is curated by the InStyle Magazine, and provides you with trendy items for the season. I received some of the InStyle Boxes from previous seasons, too, and if you are curious you can have a look at the past boxes >>here<<.

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Of course, for spring, the products are dedicated to the season. But it is not only spring that we feel with this box, but also summer and sun, thanks to a bunch of fruity and exotic products. The box is packed with 10 different products and a sample, together with a booklet with descriptions and more discount coupons.

InStyle Box Spring 2018

InStyle Box Sticky Notes Cloud

The first thing that jumped into my seight were these cloudshaped sticky notes! I’m a sucker for cute stationary and this happy cloud sticky note just shot an arrow through my heart. A wonderful and happy design that makes us feel the warmer seasons (retails for 6.95€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Korres Mango Lip Butter

This one looks so rich and smells yummy that you want to dip your fingers in. The Mango Butter is everything you need from a lip butter. It contains shea butter and rice wax for moisture, thistle oil for nourishment, and Vitamin C and E. Sounds nice and perfect to hydrate your chapped winter lips (retails for 9.99€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Sexyhair Healthy Soy Renewal Hair Oil

This Hair oil contains soybean extract for nourishing and Argan and sunflower oil for giving your dry hair some glow. Moreover the oil is supposed to be lightweight and offers UV protection. and it will reduce the time for drying your hair (retails for 26,95€)

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Bellapiérre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder

I already received one of this Banana Setting Powder with a past Glossybox, and it is really a lovely color-correcting and mattifying powder. It also has the ability to make dark eye areas appear brighter. The fine powder has been raved about all over in the online community. (retails for 25€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Rimmel London Royal Blush

This cream Blush in the color Coral Queen is the perfect shade for spring and summer. The blush claims to be lightweight and not greasy, but blend in nicely and leave a satin finish (retails for 6.99€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Lord & Berry Conceal It Crayon

That’s the first time I have a concealer crayon. I’m used to liquid type concealers but this small crayon is perfect for carrying around and it also can be used for highlighting. A pity it doesn’t come with a sharpener though (retails for 16.00€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Avon mark.Epic Lip lipstick

This lipstick comes in a beautiful shade that is called “Rosy Outlook”, a very versatile and spring suited shade that will suit most people. This lipstick is a long-lasting one containing primer in its formulation to make it stay for hours. I’m really curious if this will hold up to its claims. Apart from this shade there are 16 more shades available (retails for 11.00€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Lancaster Micellar Delicate Cleansing Water

Micellar Waters are one of my favourites when it comes to cleansing. They are usually formulated in a mild way and don’t dry out the skin. I haven’t tried any products from Lancaster, so I’m really curious to try this one (100ml retail for 5 €).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Lancaster Sun365 BB Body Cream

Additionally to the Micellar Water, a BB Body Cream by Lancaster was included in the box. This sun cream with SPF15 helps with tanning the skin in spring without including any self-tanning ingredients. It also contains some bronzing particles to give the winter skin a first sun-kissed glow.

InStyle Box Spring 2018

28 Black Absolute Zero Guave Passion Fruit

An Energy Drink without Taurin and preservatives, that is vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free. I’m personally not an energy drink lover, but I know some people who would love this alternative (250ml retail for 1.49€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

Heimatgut Coconut Chips

I love coconut chips and they always make me feel like living on an exotic island and enjoying the sun. The coconut chips from Heimatgut are available in two versions, original and caramel fudge. I tested the originals (of course they were the first thing to be eaten after taking the pictures), and they taste very delicious (40g retail for 1.79€).

InStyle Box Spring 2018

So far the InStyle Box never let me down. The products have a value that exceeds the price of the box and the products are nice choices for the warmer seasons . It is hard to decide which product is my favourite from the box, since I’m happy with all of them. The InStyle Box Spring 2018 is available on shop.instyle.de for 29.90€ and comes with 3 e-paper versions of the InStyle magazine. The InStyle Box is released every three months, for each season.

What are your thoughts on the products from this box? Let me know in the comments below :)

Unboxing: Barbara Box No. 3 / 2017

12. October 2017

// PR SAMPLE / UNBOXING / SUBSCRIPTION BOX //

The third box of the newly launched Barbara Box arrived at my doorsteps a while ago and I would love to share the content with you again. I loved the concept and the products in the boxes so far, and if you live in Germany and love subscription boxes with a good mix of products you might love this, too. If you missed my other unboxings you can head over >>here<<. The third Barbara Box is dedicated to cozy autumn moments to share with your best friends:

Barbara Box No. 3

The Barbara Box ambassador is also the donor of the name, a German celebrity called Barbara Schöneberger. The box is not only advertised by her, but also she selects the products. The topic of the boxes revolve around “Girls Night” with your best friend(s)and contain food, drinks, beauty, decoration, games…so as you see the Barbara Box seems to be very versatile.

Barbara Box No. 3

The box is not a monthly box but is released every three months and comes together with a print of the Barbara magazine, a magazine curated by Barbara Schöneberger aswell and addressing women in their 30s.

Barbara Box No. 3

All boxes I received so far were heavy and full of products. I’m always surprised about the weight when I receive the parcel from the post. This time the box contained 8 different products which I want to show you below:

Barbara Box No. 3

Baileys Iced Coffee Latte

This newly launched Iced Coffee Drink came twice, so you can share it with your best friend on the next occasion. It combines the taste of Baileys with Arabica- and Robusta Coffee and milk. Each can contains 200 ml and retails for 2.49 US$.

Barbara Box No. 3

Dr. Grandel Hyaluron Moisture Flash Ampoules

A deep and intense micro hyaluronic acid treatment, which supplies the deeper layers of the skin with hydration. The package contains 3 ampoules containing 3 ml each, which retail for 14.90€.

Barbara Box No. 3

Wilco Classic Jojoba Nailcare Pen

This pen is perfect to be taken along with you in your bag. It helps to nourish your nails with jojoba oil, vitamins and keratin. It is super easy to use and even has replacement tips included. The pen retails for 6.95€.

Barbara Box No. 3

Erwin Müller Walk-Frottier Guest-Towel “Tübingen”

What’s better than to be offered a soft and cozy towel when staying over at a friend’s place?! This towel is perfect, small and very soft. Perfect for your beauty routine, as well. It retails for 3.50€.

Barbara Box No. 3

Barbara Box Mug

Autumn and Winter are usually the seasons when people drink a lot of hot beverages like tea. So mugs are always very useful to have at hands. This mug retails for 11.90 US$.

Barbara Box No. 3

Messmer Cake Teas

And of course a mug would not be complete without some proper tea for it. My box contained the Messmer Cake Tea variation with Strawberry Cheesecake Taste. Perfect to share with your friends. One pack containing 18 tea bags retails for 2.19€.

Barbara Box No. 3

Ultrasun Overnight Summer Recovery Mask

This sleeping mask contains hyaluronic acid and brown algae for moisturizing and refreshing the skin after a sunny autumn walk…unfortunately our autumn has not been really sunny yet. Still this mask sounds nice to use. 50 ml retail for 39.00€.

Barbara Box No. 3

Tropicai coconut chips “Crispy Cacao”

These coconut chips are really addictive! ME and my boyfriend ate it right away and couldn’t stop. It is so delicious! The coconut flavour together with the cocoa and the coconut flower sugar is a perfect combination. 120g retail for 2.98€

Barbara Box No. 3

Another versatile box containing some beauty products, drinks, and snacks. My favourite items this time were the sleeping mask and the coconut chips. From the three boxes I received so far this is not my favourite (No.1 is still my favourite box so far), but it is still a good variety and the value is nice as well. Barbara Box is released every three months, which makes it even more appalling in my opinion. The box retails for 29.95 €, but there are also options for a yearly or half-year order with 4 or 2 boxes, respectively. Considering the prize of the included products in the boxes so far it makes up far the retail price definitely. I’m really curious how they will continue in the future.

How do you like the autumn edition of the Barbara Box?

Unboxing: InStyle Box Spring Edition 2017

15. April 2017

Today, I’m going to share a very wonderful unboxing with you. This is the first time I had the opportunity to receive an InStyle Box and I love its content. So, if you do not want to be spoilert please don’t continue to read, because here is my unboxing for the InStyle Box Spring Edition 2017:

InStyle Box Spring Edition

The InStyle Box Spring Edition 2017 is curated by the InStyle Magazine, providing you with trendy items for the spring season. The topic of this box is focussing on detoxing and resheshing, since spring is always the best season to do so.

InStyle Box Spring Edition

The first thing that I noticed was, that the box was super heavy! I was really wondering what was inside…and the excitement grew even bitter when I opened up the package.

InStyle Box Spring Edition

The box was crammed full with wonderful products. After searching through the tons of paper shreds I discovered a total of 10 products reaching from Beauty, Fashion & Accessories, Lifestyle & Living, to Food & Nutrition.

InStyle Box Spring Edition

The most anticipated products were the ones from JorgeObé. I knew that Scrub Mask would be included in the box and I was especially curious to try it. The JorgObé products are producted in Denmark and are vegan, free from artificial coloring, parabens, mineral oil or silicon. Moreover they have a very minimalistic and clean product design.

InStyle Box Spring Edition

JorgObé Refreshing Scrub Mask

JorgObé’s Refreshing Scrub Mask is a 2-in-1 face mask that can be used both as scrub cream or as deep cleansing mask. It contains Black-Jojoba Peeling Sheres for peeling the skin and removing dead skincells and impurities (so no microbeads here). The mask is a clay mask contains white Kaolin. Apricot kennel oil and shea butter provide your skin with moissture and protection during the peeling effect. After from the mechanical peeling effect of the jojoba peeling particles the mask also contains salicylic acid and polylacxtic acid. After application your skin will feel refreshed and leave acooling effect behind (fullsize retails for 26.99€).

InStyle Box Spring Edition

JorgObé White Tea Balancing Cream

It contains squalane, shea butter, green tea extracts and a bunch of other plant based oils and extracts (fullsize retails for 22.99€).

InStyle Box Spring Edition

But it is not only about your face, also your body and your hair needs some detox. In order to take care for your hands, that are probably very tired and dried out from the spring cleaning the InStyle Box contains soap from Palmolive and hand cream from ipuro.

InStyle Box Spring Edition
ipuro hand cream

I only knew ipuro for their wonderful scented room scents, but it seems they also have wonderful hand cream. One of three ipuro hand creams was included in the InStyle box being either ipuro balancing orchid, ipuro calming calla, or ipuro energizing grass. My box contained the ipuro energizing gras hand cream and I love the simple black design with the illustration of the key ingrediuent. The cream contains aloe vera and verbena extract and is really moisturizing, rich and feels nice on the hands, leaving a citrusy and fresh scent behind (fullsize retails for 6.99 €)

InStyle Box Spring Edition
Palmolive Blue Magnolia Delightful Handwash

Magnolia are a perfect choice for spring flowers. I had a soap from Palmolive before and I really like their scents. This soap is already fully in use in our household (fullsize retails fro 2.45 €).

This Pre-Shampoo Treatment by udowalz is using clay and green tea extract to combat greasy hair and dandruff. The clay is removing residues from the hair and scalp and the green tea has antioxidative and calming properties for your scalp. The product is used before using shampoo on wet hair. Leave it in for 5 minutes and then apply shampoo directly on top of the treatment. Wash your hair and remove both products. Your hair is supposed to stay fresh and keep their volume throughout the day. From June onwards the treatment will be called Pure Matcha Pre-Shampoo Treatment (fullsize retails for 7.95 € / sale of the old version for 3.95 € atm).

The InStyle Box contains one of four versions of these body milks, being Honey & Hemp, Grapefruit & Seaweed, Bergamot & Green Tea, and Pomgrenade & Aloe Vera. I received the Apple & Bears Honey & Hemp Body Silk. It has a wonderful and light texture that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a film on the skin. It has a nice scent, too! Moreover, the body silks contain natural firming ingredients and are made in England (fullsize retails for 27.95 €)

Apart from beauty products there were also food products included: A chocolate bar from nucao and superfood powder from Lebepur.

InStyle Box Spring Edition

nucao raw cocoa bar

The nuacao raw cocoa bars are available in three varieties: almond chia, coconut cinnamon, and espresso and a perfect way to live through the day. The InStyle Box contains the almond chia bar  and it was gone within minutes. I love chocoalte! Last but not least the fashion and home products that were included in the InStyle Box:

The brown hair tie in my box comes with a flower shaped Purelei charm and a pompom and looks beautiful in combination with other bracelets or accessoires (three hair ties retails for 11.90 €).

This was probably the most heavy item of the box, a Unicorn Mug! The cute mug with the illustration is handmade and from porcelein. It is available together with other lifestyle products in the InStyle shop (the unicorn mug retails for 11.90 €)

I enjoyed the versatile products of the InStyle Box Spring Edition a lot! The topic detox and spring was perfectly included into the products and there were so many things to discover. Unboxing: Barbara Box March 2017

28. March 2017

At the moment there are so many new subscription boxes on the market – and most of them revolve around beauty and beauty products – that it is hard to decide for any of them. Here is another subscription box called Barbara Box I want to introduce to you and here we have a slightly different approach, which I really appreciate and am excited to share:

Barbara Box

I talked about the launch of this box earlier on my Instagram and although I was not able to attend the launching event I was sent a box to show you. I’m super happy and thankful for this opportunity :)

Barbara Box

The Barbara Box ambassador is also the donor of the name, a German celebrity called Barbara Schöneberger. The box is not only advertised by her but also she selects the products. The topic of the boxes revolve around “Girls Night” with your best friend(s) and contain food, drinks, beauty, decoration, games…so as you see the Barbara Box seems to be very versatile.

Barbara Box

The box is not a monthly box but is released every three months and comes together with a print of the Barbara magazine, also a magazine curated by Barbara Schöneberger and addressing women in their 30s...but enough of the talk, let’s see what is inside the first Barbara Box:

Barbara Box

Inside a light pink box there are 10 different products of all kinds, but the first product popping into my eyes is the Missha sheet mask! I love Missha, I love kbeauty and I love that I finally receive a German subscription containing a sheet mask :D In my box I found the Missha Pure Source Cell Sheet Mask containing Lotus Flower. Although I’ve tried like hundreds of sheet masks literally I didn’t try this mask yet, which makes me even more happy! A pity it only comes with one instead of two masks. It would be fund to share a second mask with your BFF. The Missha Mask is listed with a price of 1.75 € in the product description card included.

Barbara Box

The second product in my hands was a postcard set by Typealive. These are really beautifully designed and I love the minimalistic black and white here. This set of 4 postcards retails for 8 €.

Barbara Box

Barbara Box

The Barbara Box was really heavy when I received it and looking at the content the reason for this were the drinks included:

Barbara Box

First of all there were two cans of Tranquini, a natural drink for relaxing and compensating stress. I never heard of that drink and I’m even more curious to try it now :D There is one with the flavor Green Tea Mix and one with Berry Mix. This drink retails for 1.39 € per can. The second heavy product was a small bottle of sparkling wine with elder flower from the brand Jive. It retails for 1.19€.

Barbara Box

Another drink, but yet not ready to drink, was also included in form of a small tin of Kusmi Tea. It’s a green tea blend with strawberries and it smells soooo delicious. I love green tea and I love strawberries! This seems to be my new favorite tea. The small tin of Kusmi Tea retails for 5 €.

Barbara Box

What I like especially about the Barbara Box is its versatility. It does not only contain the usual products, but it also included a party game in this box. I love board games and we are having board game evenings with our friends here quite often. I’m not exactly in favor of party gaming though, but I can imagine that some people love these kinds of games and would be happy about it. The game you’ll find here is called Privacy by the game company Amigo. It retails for 11€.

Barbara Box

There is no girls night without some snacks. So this box surprises with the Bahlsen Cookie Chips Chocolate Chips. They taste deliciously like chocolate cookies, but are thin and crispy. I could not keep these untouched for long :D The Cookie Chips retail for 1.69€.

Barbara Box

The first Barbara Box also came with a notebook. Since Bullet Journaling seems to be very trendy at the moment I can imagine that this is really useful for many. I would have loved a cute design on the front instead of simply the brand. But I like that the pages are clear with dots instead of lines or caskets. It retails for 6.50€.

Barbara Box

And what else is important on a girls night? Nail polish of course. I love the red shade of the Faby Nail Lacquer that was in my box. The perfect color for me. There was one of two colors included in the box, either Red Carpet or Simply Perfect. My nail polish here is in shade “Simply Perfect”. Faby is an Italian brand and their nail polishes are vegan, 5-free (without Formaldehyd, Toluol, Campher, Dibutylphthalat and Formaldehyd resins), and are supposed to be long lasting. they retail for 15 €.

Barbara Box

The last item, and also my favorite one of the non-beauty items is this light scarf from Codello. There were different colors available and my box came with a light cream colored scarf, the perfect color for spring and summer and I love it so much. Codello is known for their scarfs and bags and they also have a cute Disney Collection at the moment. The scarf retails for 29.95€ and is a blend of viscose and polyester.

Barbara Box

So, this is it! The content of the first Barbara Box was really enjoyable and I love the versatility here. I like the idea of having a box that can be enjoyed on a girls night. Also, the fact that this box is released not every month but every three months makes it more appalling, in my opinion. The box retails for 29.95 €, but there are also options for a yearly or half year order with 4 or 2 boxes, respectively. Considering the prize of the included products in the first box here it made up for that prize definitely. I hope that the future boxes will be as beautifully curated as this one. What do you think?

Unboxing: Fembox January 2017

28. January 2017

A while ago I talked about a newly launched beauty box on the German market, the so-called fem.box. Their monthly subscription boxes comes packed with products revolving around beauty, fashion, lifestyle and health. I loved the composition of the first fem.box and here I want to share with you what was inside the Fembox January 2017:

Fembox January 2017

The ambassador of the fem.box is Fernanda Brandao is a brasilian singer, actress, moderator and fitness expert that gained popularity in Germany by the pop group “Hot Banditoz”. She also has hadquite some TV appearances here in Germany within the last years. The fem.box advertises not only to be a box for beauty lovers also, but have more versatile components. And I must say the first box really lived up to its claim.

Fembox January 2017

The products of the fem.box are packed in a square cardboard box. I really liked the blue and purple aquarell design of the box. It came with a description card and a post card saying “Good mood can be worn with almost everything”. The description card also contains a short description to each product.

Fembox January 2017

All in all the January box contained 6 different products. It included makeup, skincare, and healthy food/snacks. This time it didn’t have any products related to fitness (read my review for their launching box >>here<<). Non of the products were known to me, which was a great surprise again.

Fembox January 2017

DASKAUGUMMI

DASKAUGUMMI is a German brand for sugar-free chewing gum in unusual flavours. The box contained three different ones: lemon/basil, organge/ginger, and mint/elderflower. I started trying the mind/elderflower gum and it is really delicious from its flavor. A box of 3 containg 15,4 g retails for 4.95€.

Fembox January 2017

FRIYA

The FRIYA Superfood Drink containing Basil Seeds is probably the most beautifully designed smoothy bottle/drink I came across so far. And Basil Seeds?! Never knew you could eat them…or drink them. They are supposed to be high in nutritions and keep you full/satisfy your cravings for food. The basil seeds are mixed with juice of Rock Cherry and Rose Petals. The taste is unusual and the macerated basil seeds remind me of chia seeds in a chia pudding. A new experience...would love to try other products from FRIYA. 200 ml retail for 1.95€.

Fembox January 2017

VEGANZ

VEGANZ is one of the most well known brand for vegan products in Germany. I saw these superfood bars at the super market but never tried them. Here we have the Inka-Goji-Raspberry bar. Never heard of Inka berries before, but tried Goji berries already. And Raspberries are one of my favorites. I’m always open for bars like that because they are great for an inbetween snack during my way to work. I put this in my backpack for next week. 30g retail for 1.29 €.

Fembox January 2017

Now, let’s take a look at the beauty products in this months fem.box:

ADENA

I received the ADENA nail polish in shade 77, a bright flamingo-pink color. And also while applying this nail polish the color keeps the bright shade you see in the bottle. It is almost opaque in one layer , too. It is quickly drying, too. So far I really like it, but I cannot say how long-lasting it is, yet. The bottle of nail polish contains 11 g and retails for 3.99€.

Fembox January 2017

LORD & BERRY

This Pencil eyeliner and shader from LORD & BERRY is designed for creating a sharp eyeliner, but can also be smudged out for smokey eye look. The pencil glides smoothly over the skin and has a nice consitency. It can be blended out well, too. One of these rather short pencil liners retails for 9.90€.

Fembox January 2017

ÊTRE BELLE

The product I’m most excited about is the ÊTRE BELLE Hyaluronic Cleansing Foam. As the name says it contains Hyaluronic Acid for providing the skin with moisture. It comes in a pump bottle, that releases the product as ready-to-use mousse-foam. I didn’t try it yet, but I want to review it after I used it. The bottle contains 100 ml and retails for 17.90€.

Fembox January 2017

The selection of the products was quite versatile as you see.

Fembox January 2017

All in all, the fem.box January 2017 contained some interesting products! There were not as many items as in their release box, but still the combination was versatile.  The price of 19.95€ per box/month is okay, considering the retail value of the products. The subscription of the box can be quit every month and the shipping costs are included in the price. The box only ships to Germany at the moment, but since it has launched newly who knows what the future brings to us!

Unboxing: Fembox October 2016

29. November 2016

A couple of days ago I received a newly launche beauty box on the German market, the so-called fem.box. This monthly subscription box comes packed with products revolving around beauty, fashion, lifestyle and health. I loved the composition of the first fem.box and here I want to share with you what was inside:

fem.box

The ambassador of the fem.box is Fernanda Brandao is a brasilian singer, actress, moderator and fitness expert that gained popularity in Germany by the pop group “Hot Banditoz”. She also has hadquite some TV appearances here in Germany within the last years. The fem.box advertises not only to be a box for beauty lovers also, but have more versatile components. And I must say the first box really lived up to its claim.

fem.box

The products of the fem.box are packed in a square cardboard box. I really liked the blue and purple aquarell design of the box. It came with a description card and a post card saying “being happy”, which is super sweet.

fem.box

First of all the box was packed with so many products that they did not fit into the box. Secondly, there was really so many different kinds of products that it was really a delight to discover all the single ones. See for yourself how many products were in this box:

fem.box

And here is the card with the product description and some tips for being lucky:

fem.box

Since it is a beauty box there were some beauty products included. The new Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Daily Clean Shampoo was the first thing that caught my attention. I didn’t see that shampoo in the drugstore yet and so I was super curious about it. It is free from silicons and free from artificial coloring and can be used daiuly without damaging the hair. I didn’t try it yet, but I will let you know about it as soon as I tried it. The bottle contains 250 ml and retails for 2.49 €.

fem.box

The fe,box also contained a daily moisturizer, the M.Asam Aqua Intense Supreme Hyaluron Cream. This perfume free moisturizer is directed towards dull and dry skin and makes your skin smooth. As the name says it contains Hyaluronic Acid to giuve moisture to your skin. The jar contains 50 ml which retails for 24.75 €. I’m looking forward to try this one too, as you know I have dry skin and I’m always happy about moisturizing creams.

fem.box

The Koziol Cotton Pad Dispenser and the Demak’Up Expert Cotton Pads are a perfect team aswell. I never had a cotton pad dispenser before, but now, since I have one, I do not want to miss it anymore. It is fixed in my bathroom now and makes it so easy to take out the cotton pads. And it looks pretty, too! The Demak’Up Expert Cotton Pads are great too! They are quite dense and have a honeycomb pattern, which helps with cleaning the skin even better. The dispenser retails for 22.45€ and the cotton pads (70 pcs) retails for 1.59€.

fem.box

As for health and fitness, the box came with three products: the #DoYourSports “Black Cat Double Fascia Ball, The Women’s Best High-Protein Pralinées and the Kulau Organic Coconut Water Renew. I never tried a fascia ball before but I heard and can do great stuff for shape and soreness. This ball is designed to massage along your spine. It retails for 12.99€. The Women’s Best High Protein Pralineés are a sweet snack with a high protein content. Perfect to satisfy your sweetooth and still take care of your diet. 8 of these pralinées retail for 2.39€. The Kula Organic Coconut Water Renew is a slightly sweetened coconut water. For sweetening agave syrup is used. Additionally it contains vitamins and anti-oxidants from aronia berry and pomgrenades. It retails for 2.49€.

fem.box

The highlight of the box is the Welcome Gift they provided with this fem.box: a Paul Hewitt “Phrep” bracelet. This maritim bracelet retails for 29.90€ and looks simply beautiful when combined with the right style and accessories.

fem.box

According to the maritim colors and the anchor clasp you can guess already that Paul Hewitt is from northern Germany. I love the vibe it delivers and I can already smell the ocean and hear the seagulls :D

paul hewitt

All in all, the fem.box October 2016 was really a total surprise! It contained so many items and the price of 19.95€ per box/month is a real steal here. The subscription can also be quit every month if you do not want your box anymore and the shipping costs are included in the price. The box only ships to Germany at the moment, but since it has just launched who knows what the future brings to us!

Nu3 Insider Box Summer Edition

10. August 2016
Today's post will be about a PR Sample Box from Nu3. I decided to write the post in German since this shop is directed towards German customers. But if you want to know any details to any of the below products, please feel free to ask in the comments below. I'll be happy to answer your questions :)

Nu3 Insider Box Summer Edition

Nu3 Insider Box Summer Edition

Die nu3 Insider Box Natural Beauty für den Sommer enthielt insgesamt 4 Produkte, die ich euch im weiteren näher vorstellen werde.

Nu3 Insider Box Summer Edition

Nu3 Insider Box Summer Edition

Nu3 Insider Box Summer Edition

Alles zusammen eine schöne Box mit interessanten Produkten. Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich sie testen durfte.

Die Produkte aus der Nu3 Insider Box sind hier erhältlich:

nu3 Bio Aloe Vera Saft

nu3 Fasten-Tee

Weleda Mandel Sensitiv Pflegedusche

Nutri-Nick Stevia Chocolate

Was haltet ihr von den Produkten? Habt ihr irgendetwas davon schon einmal ausprobiert?  Wieder einmal eine schöne Box, wovon alle Produkte gut Verwendung finden. Was meint ihr?

Unboxing: TokyoTreat – Japanese Candy Subscription Box

26. July 2016

I’m always curious about snacks and candy from different countries and I love trying them out. Japan is known for candy curiosities and especially fun packaging of their candies and snacks and therefore they are the ones I love most to try. There is a fairly new Japanese Candy Subscription Box around called TokyoTreat and I’m glad I was provided with one of their awesome boxes to share my opinion with you:

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

TokyoTreat is a monthly subscription box service located in Japan and delivering handpicked candies and snacks directly from Japan. The range of their snacks and treats reaches from sweet to savory and the best part is that they have free worldwide shipping for their subscription boxes.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

They have differently priced and sized boxes for subscribing. The smallest and also cheapest retails for 14.99 US $ and contains 5-7 full-sized japanese candies and snacks. The medium  (called regular) sized box contains 8-12 full-sized candies and snacks and a DIY Candy Kit for 24.99 US $. Lastly, there is the premium option for 34.99 US $ containing 13-17 candies and snacks , one DIY Candy Kit, 1 drink and one special item, which can be a drink, Gachapon Toy or Premium DIY Kit.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

The TokyoTreat box I received is the one from April and it is the Premium box containing all the possible products you would have received (including the products from the small and regular box). The box is also the first anniversary celebrations box on the same time containing a total amount of 15 products! I will divide the products into the box categories, so you will get a better overview of how the boxes are structured.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

TokyoTreat Small

Let’s start with the 6 products which would have been included in the small-sized subscription box: Meiji’s Plum Pati-Chan, Crunchy Panda Z , Karamucho Hot Chili-Flavored Chips, Calbee BBQ Flavored Sapporo Potato Snacks, Raw Ramune Candies, and Meiji’s Pucca Chocolate. The variety reaches from sweet to sour and savory and shows a good variety in Japanese candy.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

The Pucca Choco Biscuits by Meiji were the first product I tried. I love chocolate and biscuit! These biscuits are shaped like sea creatures. The inside of the biscuit is filled with smooth chocolate cream filling. I really enjoyed these because they were not overly sweetened, but nicely balanced in their taste.

I learned that Calbee are Japan’s leading makers of potato snacks. The BBQ Flavored Sapporo Potato Snacks are one of their newer releases. These fluffy potato chips remind me of potato chips from Germany called Pom-Bär, except for the additional BBQ flavor. The potatoes used here are from the Sapporo region of Japan though.

Have you heard of Ramune?! This drink gas been really popular in Japan these days. On the Japan day in Düsseldorf this year it was available everywhere. The Raw Ramune Candies are candies with the taste of this drink. They are supposed to be sweet, fizzy, refreshing cubes of candy and you can even freeze them in the fridge. I didn’t try the drink because I’m fearing that this will be to sweet and I didn’t try the candy either because of that fear…maybe I’m brave enough today XD…same for the Meiji’s Plum Pati-Chan…I didn’t try this Plum flavored candy yet, but they are supposed to be tiny candy crystals with a frizzy effect.

I did try the Crunchy Panda Z biscuits though! As I said, I love chocolate and biscuits and on top they are shaped like cute panda faces. And they are delicious, too! These biscuits are made by the famous Japanese snack manufacturer Kabaya.

Lastly, there is another bag of potato chips. These are Chili flavored and from the thin and crisp kind of chips: The Karamucho Hot Chilli Chips. These had a nice taste, too, and similar to the chips in the western world.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

TokyoTreat Regular

For the Regular TokyoTreat box there is a DIY Green Tea Mochi Kit included. In addition to the products from above there are these products, too: Baby Star Bonito Kelp Udon, Carrot Chopped Rice Cake, Lotte’s Koala March (Seasonal): Custard Pudding Flavor, and Scissor-Cut Grilled Seaweed.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

I didn’t try the DIY Green Tea Mochi Kit yet, although from all the DIY kits I received in the past I’m really curious about this one because it contains green tea! Maybe worth to spend some minutes on preparing it?!

One if the products is even a tiny meal: the Baby Star Bonito Kelp Udon! It us an instant noodle meal. It comes with a flavour sachet full of classic udon noodle soup seasonings (including bonito fish extract and seaweed extract) and vegetable garnishes that add extra flavour and texture. I planned to bring this to work with me, let’s see if I like Bonito and Kelp taste.

The Carrot Chopped Rice Cake are tiny crunchy rice crisps packed in a carrot shaped packaging. It doesn’t have any carrot taste though, simply sweetened Rice puffs- a nice snack.

If you have followed me for a while you will know that I love Lotte Koala March biscuits. The regular sized TokyoTreat box came with a limited edition of these adorable biscuits: Custard Pudding flavor! A nice and new taste, although the strawberry and chocolate flavours are still my favorite.

The last product for the regular box are the Scissor-Cut Grilled Seaweed Pieces. This is quite a snack with tradition. the bits of salted roasted seaweed have a wasabi flavour and are quite crisp. For seaweed lovers this snack is ideal.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

TokyoTreat Premium

We are almost at the end. Here are the products which were included in the Premium Box in addition to the products above: Baby Star Yakisoba Sauce Flavor,  a Hello Kitty Purse, Chocolate Monaca, and as a special the limited Pepsi Sakura.

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

It seems there has been a real hype about the limited edition Pepsi Sakura. This pale pink colored drink has a sweet sakura taste and fits perfectly to spring. It was a bit to sweet for me, but still interesting to try.

I loved the Chocolate Monaca biscuits. The waffle biscuit was filled with a chocolate cream and rice crisps and it was quite filling and satisfying, too.

The Baby Star Yakisoba Sauce Flavor noodle snack is quite popular in Japan. It is a combination of bit sized ramen noodles and savory Yakisoba flavor and has a nice taste all in all. Perfect for an in-between snack.

The last one is the special item. My box included a Hello Kitty Purse.  A Doraemon purse was also included in some other boxes instead. A nice little extra merchandising add-on to complete this amazing TokyoTreat Box!

Tokyotreat - Japanese Candy Subscription Box

Phew, that was a lot of pictures and writing. I hope some of you made it through to the end XD. All in all, the TokyoTreat Subscription box is a versatile Japanese candy and snack box with a good variety of products. some of the products are even seasonal and limited and rarely available, even if the brand itself is known in western countries, too, like the Lotte Koala Biscuits and the Pepsi. I also do love the three options which are provided for the box. You can decide for yourself how many candy you want to try and whether you like to have a DIY kit and drinks included or not. There is also a members monthly roulette were you can win a lucky box filled with all kinds of japanese merchandising, which is really a nice add-on.

If you are interested in TokyoTreat visit their webpage, their instagram, or their facebook page.

What is your impression of the TokyoTreat subscription box?

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter with Indigo Nutrition Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

25. May 2016

// PR SAMPLE / DIY / BEAUTY //

Coconut oil is one of those household products you will be able to find easily available and very versatile and useful. Surely, the main purpose of coconut oil is cooking. It can be used with higher temperatures and gives an exotic flavour to the dish. Furthermore it is quite healthy, since it is more heat resistant than other oils for example. However, coconut oil also has many other uses, and especially a huge amount of beauty uses and it has become one of my favorite ingredients and must-have products.

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

I received a huge jar Organic Virgin Coconut Oil from Indigo Nutrition for reviewing purpose and I decided to use this review to share one of my quickest DIY beauty recipes with you: an easy one-ingredient DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter!…Okay, to be honest, I used two ingredients: Matcha powder and coconut oil, but mainly for the color :D The recipe works absolutely fine with only coconut oil.

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

Coconut oil can be used for haircare, bodycare, makeupremover….there are so many options and you can really be creative with using it. When I do not use it for cooking I’m using a nut-sized bit of the oil as extra care for my dry ends of my hair. Another way I love using coconut oil is a s body moisturizer. That scent is simply amazing!

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

Here is my recipe for a quick DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter made from coconut oil. You can go with one ingredient only, which is the coconut oil, but if you want to you can add some vitamin E or essential oils. I tried one with matcha powder this time:

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

Mainly you will need these things for making your own coconut body butter: a handmixer (or kitchenaid), coconut oil, a bowl, and a jar to store your product afterwards. The steps are super simple to follow:

  1. Put a desired amount of coconut oil into the bowl. It should not be too few, because you will want to use the mixer.
  2. Add whatever ingredient you want to combine, like Vitamin E, or essential oils. I went for some matcha powder.
  3. Warm up the bowl in a sauce pan with water until the coconut is melted and you can combine your ingredients nicely.
  4. When everything is combined put your bowl into the freezer for 20 minutes until the coconut oil has retained a more solid consistency, but still soft enough to be mixed.
  5. Start mixing your coconut oil mixture until it turns solid and creamy like butter. This might take some minutes (depending on your mixer)
  6. Fill the butter into a jar and keep it stored in the fridge until used.

DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter

You will get the softest butter, which melts instantly into the skin and stays creamy and spreadable despite being in the fridge. Just have a look at the pretty green color the matcha powder gave it! On top, with a good quality virgin coconut oil you will smell of coconut all day! Get the Indigo Nutrition Organic Virgin Coconut Oil  from Indigo Nutrion and try your own simple coconut body butter!

Let me know if you try the recipe for the DIY Coconut Matcha Body Butter! :)
