Review: Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

13. September 2016

// AFFILIATE LINKS / CUSHION / KBEAUTY //

Another of those far too late posts, but since I adore the packaging I have to share with you: Here is my precious Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion! As a Disney lover it was really important to get my hands on this cushion- despite having maybe too many different cushions and cases already…I feel a bit ashamed, and yet I’m so proud to have this one in my collection! Here is my impression:

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Beyond is a Korean natural cosmetic brand and part of LG Household & Health Care. It is dedicated to sustainable beauty and had been against animal testing since its foundation. They have an official site which is available in Korean and English. The Beyond eco philosophy states:

‘Beyond believes that you are part of nature and can become more beautiful. The solution and wisdom of beauty lies in nature. With this belief, we respect “Eco Values” throughout the entire process of everything we do from ingredients, production, distribution and disposal. Our research into Eco Values, which we consider part of our know-how, enhances the value of true beauty.’

Their products have minimal chemical colors and fragrances, their packaging isrecyclable and has minimum waste. Their products are also free from parabens and dermatologically tested. I tried few products of this brand before, but I never disliked their products. They have a super cute selection of sheet masks, too, which I can really recommend.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion belongs to the second Beyond x Alice in Wonderland collaboration. I reviewed lip tints from the first collaboration called Alice in Glow >>here<<. I love the lip oil tints! They have a great scent and have a velvet nice and yet moisturizing feel on the lips! The design of the Alice in Blooming collection is even more dreamy and beautiful than the first edition and I knew from the beginning when I saw the advertorial pictures that I needed to get my hands on this cushion. And I did!

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion comes packed in a beautifully illustrated cardboard box in light pink and blue colors. The cardboard box also contains the key description of the product. The product is free of parabens and tar colorants, it is dermatologically tested, free of animal testing, and supports sustainable growth. The cushion has SPF 50+/PA+++.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Inside the cardboard box you will find the beautiful Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion, with a golden rim and the dreamy illustration from the cardboard box on the lid. Since this was a limited edition box it came with two refills even. I selected shade 02, the darker shade from the two available called “natural beige”.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Inside the Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion you will find a mirror and a puff, as with all cushions. Unlike most other puffs the band is broader and also  displays Alice illustrations.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

As with all cushions the product works like this: inside the cushion case is a capsule with a separate lid that contains a cushion soaked with foundation or bb cream. You have to press the puff on the cushion and the foundation will transfer to it. Now you can dab the puff on your face. It is important to dab and not to smear it because it will give you the most natural and light finish.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion has a semi-dewy, satin finish. It smells of roses when applied, but after doing your makeup the scent will fade and is not noticeable any longer. Also, there are small shimmery particles in the foundation that give your face a radiant look. Although I selected the darker shade of the two that were available it is still quite light and suited for lighter skintones. You see that it evens out the redness and makes the skin tone a bit lighter than my natural skin, but it still fits to my overall complexion. If you are tanned this shade will probably not work on you.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

The Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion lasts a couple of hours on my skin before it starts to get uneven on my nose and chin. Nevertheless, it makes my skin feel soft and satin-smooth for almost all day. I also love the rose scent and enjoy using the cushion in the morning mainly because of the scent. I was afraid about the shimmer particles first, but I came to the conclusion that it is barely visible after all, so I’m really happy and using this cushion frequently.

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion

Beyond Alice in Blooming Snow Cushion is a must-have for Disney lovers of course or for people who love beautiful illustrations. I bought my cushion from W2Beauty but you can check elsewhere to find it, too. You will find the cushion on these sites:

W2Beauty for 25.23 US$

Amazon.com for 29.94 US$

testerkorea 32.300 Won (~29.90 US$)

Review: Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints

24. February 2016

I’m really late for this review, since the Beyond x Alice in Wonderland Collection launched half a year ago! Nevertheless. since the Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints are amongst my favorite lip tint I still wanted to share my opinion with you. I also discovered that Beyond will launch a new Cushion with the Alice in Wonderland theme soon ♥

Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints

Their products have minimal chemical colors and fragrances, their packaging is recyclable and has minimum waste. Their products are also free from parabens and dermatologically tested. I tried few products of this brand before, but I never disliked their products. They have a super cute selection of sheet masks, too, which I can really recommend.

Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints

The reason to buy the Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints is obviously the packaging design and the Disney Alice in Wonderland theme. I knew I had to get my hands on at least something from this collection, and since I loved the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight Oil Tint it was time for me to try more tints of this kind. There are five different shades available for the Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints and I selected two of them: No. 03, a pink red shade, and 04 a cherry red shade. The packaging design is dedicated to the Guardians of the Queen of Hearts and comes with a beautifully illustrated cardboard box. The same illustration of the guardians is found on the tint bottles, each containing 4.5 g.

Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints

The formulation is a oil based tint, but in contrast to the Tonymoly Shaking Tint Delight you do not need to mix it before applying. It is a bit thicker than the Oil Tint of Tonymoly, reminding me of the texture of a gloss, without being as sticky as one. The Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints contain Royal Black Tea for moisturizing and giving elasticity to the lips, apart from the oils in the tint. You will also smell a nice black tea scent mixed with a fruity hint if you use the lip tint. This is also one of my favorite aspects, because I love the scent!

Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints

The applicator is a doe-foot applicator with a hole in the middle. It does a good job in applying the tint. The tint itself feels very smooth on the lips. Since it is oil based you will feel how it smoothens the lips and moisturizes them. The lips don’t feel dry, even when the gloss dries off. In the swatches on my hand the shades look identical and at first I had to check the labels twice in order to be sure if they are different or not, but on my lips I see that No. 4 is more pigmented and has a hint of purple. It is not much visible on the pictures though. I also feel that the tint intensifies if you reapply the tint after a couple of hours. The stain itself lasts quite some time and wears of in a way that it looks still natural and that you can reapply without any problems of clumping etc. Both tints have a very natural stain, despite the light stain they give and they are perfectly useable for every day.

Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints

Although I was initially disappointed that the two shades I picked look very similar and that the pigmentation is quite natural I love the texture of the Beyond Alice in Glow Oil Tints and I use them surprisingly often. The stains also disappear very naturally, which makes it convenient for every day use and if you do not have the time or patience to touch up your lips every few hours. I love the scent, too, and I probably do not have to tell you how much I love the design. I’m very happy about these two precious tints in my collection. They retail for 10000 Won and you can find them on ebay or amazon for ~14 US$. Did ou try any of the products from the Beyond x Alice in Wonderland collaboration? Do you have any favorites?

Review: Beyond The God Of Patches Bye Bye Smile Lines and Panda Eyes

22. January 2014
A while ago I wrote a review to one of Beyond The God Of Patches sheet masks (click >>here<<). I’m absolutely in love with the design of these ♥ I will review the other two masks today, which are Beyond The God Of Patches Bye Bye Smile Lines and Beyond The God Of Patches Bye Bye Panda Eyes. These masks are from the Korean brand Beyond which is part of LG Household & Health Care.
Beyond The God Of Patches
These two masks have such cute and adorable illustrations and packaging design and even the instructions are accompanied with cute illustrations! First I will show you the Bye Bye Panda Eye Patches: When you open the cardboard envelops you will find the sachets containing the eyepatches.
The patches are packed separately in a plastic packaging sachet. Isn’t it cute?
  Beyond The God Of Patches
I never used that kind of gel patches before. But the instruction is pretty easy to understand. The patches are formed like the line below your eyes. You have to remove a plastic sheet before using it and then you can dispatch the gel sheet on your skin according to the cutest illustrations on the cardboard enevlope.
Since this is a gel patch it has an instant cooling effect. The scent is like the previous sheet mask I reviewed and very pleasant and calming and reminds me of Laneige’s Sleeping Pack. Since I used these patches only one time I cannot say anything about their whitening effect. After one use I didn’t see any changes in my dark circles, but my eyes looked definitively less hollow and more supple than before. I recognised the effect instantly in front of the mirror. It does a great job in moisturizing and cooling which helped to achieve this effect for sure.
The second mask is called Bye Bye Smile Lines and it is designed for the lines around your mouth. The shape of these patches again is perfectly made for this area and the instruction is pretty straight forward due to the illustrations ♥
Beyond The God Of Patches
The packaging is similar to the previous one and inside the cardboard envelope you will find the sachet with the patches.
Beyond The God Of Patches
The patches are again packed separately and protected by a plastic foil.
Beyond The God Of Patches
These patches had the same scent like the other ones and it was the same pleasant and non-disturbing scent. The skin feels pretty good moisturized and the skin looks refreshed and supple.
Below you can see how the gel patches look like after I’ve used them. Pretty much all of the moisture is already gone, my skin seems to be thirsty XD.
Beyond The God Of Patches

I’m absolutely happy with these gel patches for the under-eye area and the smile lines. Of course the cute packaging was the main reason to buy these but the results were also satistfying in terms of moisturization and cooling. I felt pampered and enjoyed the experience of using the patches and I would repurchase them any time. I bought these at www.testerkorea.com for 2500 Won which is around US$ 2.50. Shipping depends on the weight of the goods you buy. The patches are also available on amazon for 5 US$ or in larger quantities on ebay

Graveyard: November & December 2013 Empties

11. January 2014

I was a bit lazy about these posts for the last two months, so here are my empties for November and December of last year:
Aok Pur Balance Seasand Peeling: Repurchase?Yes. Since my Skinfood Black Sugar Scrub Foam was empty I needed something which new, and since I was looking around in local drugstore’s I saw this product, which I had 2-3 times before and since I liked it back then I decided to go for it again. I love the scent, but some may dislike it, because it smells of clay…I know, it is strange to like that kind of scent, however…
Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream: Repurchase?Yes. I didn’t expect I would like this cream that much, but this is really a nice cream. My skin looked so good after using it, especially since I mixed it with O.S.T Vitamin C Serum (review >>here<<). After trying Benton’s and Mizon’s cream, I will probably buy this one in full size (this was only a trial sized jar). The only thing I disliked was the scent, because it was basically scent free. For some of you this might be perfect though. I could live with this point nevertheless.
Super Aqua Marine Stem Cell Defending Cream. Repurchase? Yes. Okay, I have a lot of Day creams on my “repurchase” list, I know, but there is still so many to try. This one is one of the first moisturizers I bought which made me happy and which I rebought 3 times already. It simply does the things it claims to do and it is great for dry skin (review >>here<<). If you have super dry skin I would rather recommend you Missha’s Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Cream (review >>here<<).
Nature Republic Hawaiian Fresh Mango Pack. Repurchase? Yes. I reviewed it >>here<< and I loved it. I could imagine getting the tube version of this pack. This is a refreshing, fruity pack which makes the skin feel really soft and nourished.
Beyond Phytogenic Facial Foam. Repurchase? Not necessarily. This is a good product and the ingredients are good. The scent was herbal and although I normally don’t like herbal scents, I liked using it in the evening…Nevertheless there are probably other cleansing foams I would like to buy. See the review >>here<<.
The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Shower Gel? Repurchase? Not necessarily. I love TBS products, and I enjoyed this one as well. It smells great and makes a nice foam. But since it is not my favourite scen I would rather go for another shower gel of TBS ;) That doesn’t mean that I was dissappointed about it.
Weleda Citrus Bodylotion: Repurchase? No. I didn’t like the scent. I was like bathroom cleaner.
Most of the other products I used were samples, or masks. So I didn’t keep them.
Hope you enjoyed reading.:)

Review: Beyond The God of Patches Bye-bye to Facial Wrinkles Sheet Mask

17. October 2013
I bought these a couple of Beyond The God Of Patches sheet masks quite a while back and I really wanted to review them so badly, but I never dared to tear open these cute packages. I’m absolutely in love with the design of these ♥ As you can see below I ordered three masks, but there are quite a few more available. These masks are from the Korean brand Beyond which is part of LG Household & Health Care. I wrote a review a couple of days ago about one of their facial foam cleanser >>here<<.
These masks are super cute, each of them designed with an animal face wearing either the mask or looking somehow individually.
I will review the Beyond The God of Patches Bye-bye to Facial Wrinkles Sheet Mask today, which is a whole face sheet mask. The bear on the package looks so cute, although (s)he seems to be unhappy about wrinkles :’D ♥
The information on the backside is in Korean and English, too (click to enlarge). As you can see in the image above. The product description says:
A pure cotton, anti-wrinkle mask sheet ideal for erasing the fine lines and facial wrinkles that can betray your age. Saturated with royal jelly and nectar, natural sources of energy, this highly-enriched serum provides life and vitality to rough, patchy skin and locks in moisture, slowing down the aging process.
Active Ingredients: Adenosine, Royal Jelly Extraxt, Honey Extraxt
Sounds good in first place. Royal Jelly and Honey are both known to be good moisturizers, which helps to decrease the appearance of fine lines and Adenosine is supposed to be anti-inflammatory when used in cosmetics as far as I know.

Now, how were my experiences with this mask? First of all, when I opened the package I was relieved that this mask had a pleasant flowery-sweet scent. It was so nice and calming, especially because I took a shower before and was snuggling myself in my bed XD ♥

The mask itself had a nice soft feel and was saturated thoroughly with the essence. I feared it would be dripping, but it dripped nowhere except on my fingers while applying it. There was also some left over essence for my neck inside the package of the mask. Since it was soaked well and my room is rather cooled down in the moment it gave me a refreshing sensation on the same time. I guess you can put it inside a fridge if you live somewhere with hot climate and it will have the same cooling sensation on your face. After 20 minutes I took the mask of and massaged the rest of the essence into my skin until it was absorbed. My skin was not sticky afterwards, and it felt nicely moisturized and firmer, too.I don’t have much of lines or wrinkles, just one or two tiny ones, but since my skin was moisturized very well they were not visible at all. The next day my skin still felt smooth and nice. As it seems, I had no problems at all with this mask and I simply love it and I would re-buy it any time. ♥
I bought these masks at www.testerkorea.com for 2500 Won which is around US$ 2.50. Shipping depends on the weight of the goods you buy.

Review: Beyond Phytoganic Facial Foam

12. October 2013
Todays review is about Beyond’s Phytoganic Facial Foam. Do you know Beyond? If not: Beyond is a natural cosmetic brand and part of LG Household & Health Care and thus a korean brand. I discovered them when I saw some ultracute sheetmasks they have (and I bought the sheet masks, too, but didn’t review them until know >_<”’).

Facial Foam means nothing else than a cleanser. I was a bit confused first, especially because you find only few information in english. So what is “phytoganic”? I’m not an expert, but the term phytogAnic is not something I know. On the other hand there is the term phytogEnic or Phytogenics, which means derrived from plants. I guess it simply means, that the ingredients they use for this cleanser are mainly derrived from plants and herbs (if anybody has more information about this, pls comment :D )

The description is taken from  http://www.beyond.co.kr:
(I hope the translation is correct :D)

If you open the tube the first thing to recognize is the really refreshing herbal scent. If you don’t like herbal scents, you’ll probably not like it. The product inside the tube is a clear gel which can be lethered to foam with water. In the picture above I just used a tiny bit of water, but if you really wash your face you can get the foam described in the product description above. It does a good job in cleaning, too. At the moment I use the lighter Chocolate Latte Foam Cleanser from Missha (>>here<<) in the morning and this one in the evening. Somehow I can keep telling myself that it reduces the daily stress…^_^”’

If you are a fan of natural products you should try Beyond’s Phytoganic Facial Foam (the one I bought is a travel size tube) or have a look at the other products by Beyond. I have nothing bad to say about this cleanser, since it does a good job. The tiny tube contains 30 ml and does only cost 1600 Won (around US$ 1.6) at www.testerkorea.com– it’s super cheap, so it is worth a try.
