ingredients: Avène Thermal Spring Water (100%), Nitrogen (gas)
How to use: Spray onto the skin in a fine mist. Leave on for 2 to 3 minutes, then gently pat dry. Spray on as often as   necessary.
Avène Thermal Spring Water comes in a spray can in a very puristic design. Just white with clear black and orange font. Just typical for products you get in a pharmacy. The spray can is available in three sizes: 300 ml, 150 ml and 50 ml. I’ll review the travel sized 50 ml spray can.

It’s main ingredient (and practically only ingredient, since the nitrogen is a gas) is Avène Thermal Spring Water. There are no additional ingredients, it’s basically pure water. Nevertheless, it claims to me soothing and softening. And it is! If you spray it on your skin it has an instant cooling effect which is soothing on the one hand, especially if your skin is irritated. And products that have a cooling effect always make your skin feel smooth after application. I don’t think this is an effect staying permanently, probably it’s more due to the effect that you cool your skin first and then it gets warm again and blood circulation is enhanced…
The dispenser provides your skin with a fine mist of water, as you can see in the image above. I can imagine that it is perfect for hot summer days. Also, I can recommend to use it after waxing or hair removal, it cools down the irritated skin a lot. Also since it doesn’t contain any irritating ingredients or additives it is perfect for sensitive skin.
Okay, now as I said above, I have a second unopened 50 ml spray tin and I wanted to share it with you. So anybody interested can take part and try his/her luck. The Giveaway starts today and ends end of this month. It’s open internationally. Have fun!

Review: Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Cream

9. May 2013
Hey there,
I will do another Etude House Review today :D This time it is the Baking Powder Cleansing Cream. I reviewed the Flower Bouquet Cleansing Cream of Missha previously, that’s why I will compare both creams as well.

Here is the product description from Etude House:

Description: Formulated with baking powder to gently exfoliate skin with cream texture and penetrate pores to absorb oil and residues for thorough cleanse.
Directions: Use hands to dispense cream. Apply cream to dry facial surface and massage until makeup is dissolved. Wipe off face with facial pad/tissues and wash with cleansing foam and water.
Okay, so this cleansing cream comes in a similar sturdy jar of the same size as the Missha Flower Bouquet Cleansing Cream. It does not come with any special packaging or anything cute like most of Etude House products, but in a clean-looking blue colored jar. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a spoon or spatula for taking out the cream like the Missha Cleansing Cream.
The packaging is similar of both, Missha and Etude House, but what about the cream itself. First the scent: Etude House’s Baking Powder Cleansing Cream has a lemon-y, fresh scent…similar to lemon cake or something. It is really pleasant and not intense. With Missha’s Cleansing Creams you have the choice between three flower scents. The one I have has the scent of cherry blossoms with I love a lot, but of course it depends on each persons taste.
The consistency of the Baking Powder Cleansing Cream differs from the Flower Bouquet Cleansing Cream. As you can see in the image below, the Baking Powder Cream has a thicker consistency than the Flower Bouquet Cream, which is kind lighter.

I wanted to compare the cleansing effect of both creams as well. I used some make-up (mascara, eyeliner and lip liner) on my arm and compared as you can see in the next image:

I observed that Etude House’s Baking Powder Cleansing Cream dissolved the make-up better than Missha’s Flower Bouquet Cleansing Cream. This might be due to the effect of baking powder…
But both creams are not perfect and washing your face with water (and using eye make-up remover) is recommended nevertheless.
Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Cream contains 180 ml and costs US$ 13.81 at W2beauty, for example, which is less than the Missha Cleansing Cream. By the way, I discovered W2beauty just recently. I was e-mailing to the customer service and I got an answer quite quickly and it was really nice to talk to Alice from W2beauty :D I can only recommend to check out the web store. Also if you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 for registration you’ll get a 5.00 $ voucher after registration. That’s really great, isn’t it?

(I was not asked to do this advertisement for them, I really liked the customer service and the possibility to get discount…they also have a reward program to get discount, too :D)

Review: Etude House Kissful Tint Choux Red

2. May 2013
Hey ♥
Here is another Etude House review for you :D I’m reviewing Etude House’s Kissful Tint Choux, a lip stain in a cute little tube. I love lip stains, because of their ‘light-y-ness’, with lip glosses I’ve always had a problem with their stickiness and I don’t wear them often. This product gives your lips a color and shine while still not being heavy and sticky like lip gloss.
Etude House provides 4 different colors for this lip stain: #1 Red Chou, #2 Pink Chou, #3 Strawberry Chou and #4 Tangerine Chou. I will review #1 Red Chou:
Actually, I couldn’t find a product description in English, but it really doesn’t need a lot of description. They changed the design of these lip stain recently. The old design looked different and was named 55 Kissful Tint Chou, but it is the same product.
You can squeeze the amount of product you want to use out of the tube and apply it either directly on the lips, or dab it three or four times on the lips and use your fingers for staining all of your lips.
The stain has a gel structure, but doesn’t feel sticky at all. It feels very moist and gives a nice gloss. Moreover, it gives your lips a plumping effect. It smells fruity and bubblegumy, but I didn’t taste anything specific. Also your lips don’t dry out, nor will it show up in an ugly way on chapped lips. It lasts also quite good and doesn’t stain the glass while drinking. I really fell in love with this!♥
The tube contains 4.2 g and it costs around US$ 8. I will definitely repurchase it and try out the other colors ♥
Edit: I ordered a second one, this time in tangerine. I’ll give a review as soon as it arrives Here is the review for it if you are interested >>click<<. I placed my order at W2beauty for US$ 8.12. I can only recommend to check out the web store. If you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 for registration you’llget a 5.00 $ voucher after registration! So, if you buy a second product together with this you can save some money, which is great :)

NOTD: Cute Lace and Dots Nails

2. May 2013

I was in the mood for a discreet- colored nail art and I tried out lace and dots on my nails using brown and nude nail polish. I won’t go into details about the nail polishes, just what I used:
I used p2 Color Victim nail polish in color 700 rich & royal and p2 Rich Care + Color in 010 so pure (I described the last one in my previous post). I used two coats of the nude Rich Care + Color nail polish as a base and for the dots and one coat of the Color Victim nailpolish for the ‘lace’.

Here is how it came out at the end :)

drugstore mini haul and mini review: p2 Rich Care and Color Nail Polish, p2 One Drop Fitness Oil, p2 14H Lip Designer

2. May 2013
I did a mini haul at the local drugstore DM some days ago. I was looking for something to help my nails regenerate, because they’ve become very dry lately. That’s why I picked up p2’s Color and Care Nail Polish and One Drop Fitness Oil. While having a look at the other product I discovered the 14H Lip Designer and I ended up buying it :D

p2 One Drop Fitness Oil:
A rich oil for dry nails. It contains soy oil together with almond oil, sunflower oil, olive oil and orange oil. It’s a vegan product and free of parabens and PEGs. The bottle containing 9 ml comes with a pump. This should helps to only put one drop on each nail and massage it until absorbed. My first impression concerning the pump: it’s difficult not to pump to much out of the bottle. A brush or a pipette would have been better. It smells of oranges, which is nice. It costs around 2 €. Official product description (in German) >>here<<.
ingedients:
GLYCINE SOJA OIL, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL, LIMONENE, CYPERUS ESCULENTUS ROOT OIL, GLYCERYL LINOLEATE (AND)GLYCERYL LINOLENATE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL, CITRUS DULCIS, CITRAL, CAROTENOIDS (AND) CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, LINALOOL, ECHINACEA PURPUREA ROOT EXTRACT, OLEA EUROPAEA LEAF EXTRACT, PANAX GINSENG ROOT EXTRACT
p2 Rich Color + Care
This one claims to be a scented nail polish with milk proteins for perfectly manicured nails. The 5in1 texture hardens, strengthens, nourishes, protects and conceals uneven nail. The broad brush makes the application easier. This product is not vegan and costs around 1.50 €. The bottle contains 12 ml. You’ll find the original description in German >>here<<.
My impression: I have no. 010 called “so pure”. I didn’t notice any special scent for this nail polish, but I like the nude color (you need two layers to see the color, or more :D). The brush is broad and is really easy to use. You can nearly cover the whole nail with one stroke.
ingredients:
BUTYL ACETATE, ETHYL ACETATE, NITROCELLULOSE, ACETYL TRIBUTYL CITRATE, ADIPIC ACID/NEOPENTYL GLYCOL/TRIMELLITIC ANHYDRIDE COPOLYMER, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, STEARALKONIUM BENTONITE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, STYRENE/ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, N-BUTYL ALCOHOL, SILICA, ETOCRYLENE, DIACETONE ALCOHOL, TRIMETHYLPENTANEDIYL DIBENZOATE, PARFUM, SUCROSE ACETATE ISOBUTYRATE, ALCOHOL DENAT., GOSSYPIUM HERBACEUM SEED OIL, HEXANAL, UNDECYLENAL, DIMETHICONE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, LACTOGLOBULIN [+/- CI 77891, CI 77742, CI 19140, CI 77491, CI 15850, CI 77510, CI 77499]

p2 14H Lip Designer
The description says, this product creates lips with matte velvet-y finish and lasts up to 14 hours. It’s a pen shaped stick for creating sharp contours. The texture should be nourishing and contains apricot oil and peach extract. This product is not vegan and contains 3.3 g. I have No. 050 called sexy high heel. It costs around 4 €. You’ll find the description in German >>here<<.
My impression: like most lipsticks it doesn’t last for 14 H, especially not if you eat something. But the stain stays on the lips pretty long. It survives drinking and nearly doesn’t stain the glass. I swatched it on my hand and it took a while to vanish. I didn’t feel it directly to be nourishing, but it has a nice texture. Nevertheless it made my lips dry out after while.
ingredients for 050:
CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, POLYETHYLENE, POLYBUTENE, ISOAMYL LAURATE, CERA ALBA, MICA, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, ISODODECANE, POLYPROPYLSILSESQUIOXANE, POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE, CERA MICROCRISTALLINA, PRUNUS ARMENIACA KERNEL OIL, SORBITAN ISOSTEARATE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, HDI/TRIMETHYLOL HEXYLLACTONE CROSSPOLYMER, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, COPERNICIA CERIFERA CERA, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, SILICA SILYLATE, PRUNUS PERSICA FRUIT EXTRACT, TOCOPHEROL, CI 15850, CI 19140, CI 77891, CI 77492

Hope these mini reviews are of use. See you soon ♥

Review: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor

30. April 2013
After all, Aussie is also available in Germany. I was really curious, after all there were many people raving about Aussie products. I have curly hair and it always tends to be dry and frizzy. For a first try I bought Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor sachet. I was very pleased with the result, so it made me happy that I got another sample from Aussie’s facebook campaign.

Here is the product description from Aussie’s UK web page:
Is your hair pleading for some TLC? Help is at hand – and in a hurry! In a matter of minutes this little wonder will help reconstruct damaged hair, smoothing and soothing and leaving it manageable, shiny and as ready to party as you are!
Meet an Aussie marvel: Australian Balm Mint. Never heard of it? No worries, just say ‘pleased to meet you’ and your hair will be eternally grateful. It’s part of our magical, miraculous formula that helps mend split ends and repair roughened cuticles.
Ingredients: Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Stearyl Alcohol, Quaternium-18, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Benzyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Oleyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Parfum, Propylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 60, EDTA, Magnesium Nitrate, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Phenoxyethanol, CI 19140, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylparaben, Magnesium Chloride, CI 17200, Methylisothiazolinone, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Sulfite, Potassium Sorbate

It’s really a nice product. The texture feels very rich and firmer than other products, so it stays nicely in the wet hair and you don’t loose a lot of product, which is sometimes a problem with other hair products. After washing it out and drying the hair has a silky smooth touch and shines. It definitely helped with my hair. Nevertheless, I have to warn you about the scent, again for those who don’t like strong scent. This product has a bubblegum-y scent, that I personally like a lot and reminds me of childhood ♥. And the scent stays for hours…believe me…it was great!:)

A lot of people complained about the lack of decorative cosmetics in this box, but keeping in mind the title for this month I think the content was appropriate. I was very happy for having a sample of the TAY night cream. This is really a product I’m curious of trying. Also, gel-patches for high heels are always a nice thing. I like to use them anyway. The foam mask from Merz and the hair ties were additional products. I won’t use the hair ties, unless I’ll stay at home, because I don’t like neon colors, but since I love masks, I’m happy about this one. Especially since it is for dry skin and after having this long winter I hope it can help :D

There are nevertheless some points I want to remark: Putting the thermal water from Avène in this month’s box fits with the topic of this month, but why did they put the same product into last month’s box?! And why didn’t they put at least a (facial) mist of another brand?!Hope they won’t do this anymore, because it makes customers unnecessarily unhappy…
If you want to try GlossyBox by yourself, just go to their web page (here). They have different kind of boxes, too.

Review: Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence

25. April 2013
Hello ♥
Today I will give a short review on Missha’s Time Revolution First Treatment Essence based on a sample. Normally it is difficult to get an impression of something with only one sample to use, especially when it comes to long-term effects, so this review wasn’t planned at all. But the little amount I used impressed me, that’s why I want to share this with you.
Lot of people rave about essences containing pitera, the nutrient-rich ferment filtrate from yeast, as they have been beneficial for a lot of people using products with it. The most famous and really expensive one is the SK-II line. Last year Missha came up with their ferment-filtrate containing essence, the Time Revolution First Treatment Essence.
Here is the product description and advertising image from Missha’s web page:
The very FIRST step to your skin care regimen,
THE FIRST TREATMENT ESSENCE

Back to the Basics, a Stepping Stone to a Healthier and New Skin
A bottle full of 80% Fermented Yeast Concentrate “FISSIONE”absorbs into skin instantly and energizes your skin.

THE FIRST TREATMENT ESSENCE improves fine lines and skin tone.
Miracle water “FISSIONE” hydrates, restores, rejuvenates, and gives you a glowing complexion.

Do you know what YEAST is?
YEAST is a naturally fortified Vitamin B Group. Vitamin B supports and increases the rate of metabolism and maintains healthy skin.
Recently, more and more researches prove fermented yeast extract to be a good source for skin care products. And thus, many yeast-based cosmetics have launched.

How to use:
After washing your face, use the Essence as the FIRST step to your skin care routine. Use palm of your hands to gently absorb into your skin.

Sounds pretty impressive, huh?!:D
As I already told, I used a sample that I got with one of my purchases lately.

This essence is a water-like liquid, with no specific scent. It’s practically scentless. The sachet contains product for at least 3 times use, even for more if you are not clumsy and spill it all around with your first use like I did. I read you only need a few drops per usage ^_^”’
I applied it directly on my palms and massaged it into my skin to get the most out of product.
Okay, now here are the effects I observed right away after using this sample:
It brightened up my face instantly and made it feel really soft! I was really surprised and I didn’t expect to see anything at all after using only a sample. It was absorbed quickly and left the skin refreshed.
To be honest, I’m now really curious how this will work if you use it regularly. Compared to SK-II this essence is definitely affordable and I will consider to buy a full sized bottle. And compared to SK-II the ingredients contain more beneficial substances and its paraben- and mineral oil-free! At Misshas Official web page they have a sale for this essence at the moment and it costs US$ 37.09 for 150 ml. (Sale ended ://…). I dicovered a trial set at W2Beauty for the Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence 30ml + Time Revolution Night repair New Science Activator Ampoule 10ml for US$ 25.40, which is quite a good deal in my opionion if you want to test it. If you use my link or the sponsor code 088505 you’ll get US$ 5 upon registration.
Who has already tried Missha’s Time Revolution First Treatment Essence? Who goes for SK-II?

Review: Missha Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream

24. April 2013
Hey there ♥
Finally, I have a review for you again. It’s Missha’s Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Cream. I ordered this item last year, and I used it quite a bit since then. There are 3 types of this cream available, each with a different flowery scent: There is Maylily, Iris and Cherry Blossom. There is also a Cleansing Foam and a Cleansing Oil for the same scents.
Here is the product description from cosmetic-love:
[Features]
Missha Flower Bouquet Cleansing Cream : Flower cleansing series that will make your daily cleansing refreshing with sweet, lovely scent of various flowers. Free of artificial color / mineral oil
[Ingredients]
1. Smoothly removes makeup and impurities. Easy to cleanse as it washable and doesn’t require tissue off.
2. Contains botanical oils and free of artificial color and mineral oil for gentle, mild cleansing.
3. Not greasy or sticky
4. Leaves skin feeling refreshed and vitalized with 5% of Freesia extract which has skin soothing effect.
[How To Use]
1.Take an appropriate amount onto the dry face and massage in a circular motion for 1~2 minutes.
2.Tissue off or wash off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
[Type]
1.Cherry Blossom
2.Maylily
3.Iris
[Capacity]
182ml
This was my first time using a cleansing cream. I bought it in first place because of the scent because I love the scent of cherry blossoms *_*. Originally I wanted to order the cleansing foam, but I thought “why not trying a cleansing cream after all?!” This is how I ended up with this lovely product.
First of all the packaging: It’s really a clean, nice packaging with it’s white jar and the blossoms on it give the additional cuteness to it. I was really in love with it when it arrived. It was packed in a clear plastic box with cherry blossoms on it, too!So adorable!♥ Unfortunately, I disposed it after a while, that’s why I can’t show you an image…but it was really sweet, believe me!
After opening the jar, you’ll be overwhelmed with the lovely scent of cherry blossoms, without having the feeling that it is an unnatural scent. It’s just a really nice scent! Again, this is not the right product for people who don’t like scents in their beauty and make-up products. Also, it comes in a jar and it’s really a lot product, so I bet it’ll be considered as unhygienic for some of you, but as with Missha’s Super Aqua Cream I reviewed earlier, this one comes also with a spatula.
Applying and using this cleanser is really easy: You just put this cream on your face. It’s not a rich cream, but it feels light and nice and I think it’s perfect for a pre-washing massage of the face. After this you can remove it by lukewarm water or by tissue. (I must admit, I didn’t try to only use a tissue afterwards on my face, I would not have the feeling of being clean without washing it with water.) Done! Your skin feels soft and clean, not greasy at all (again, I don’t now how the feeling will be on your face, if you only use a tissue to remove it. I tried on a small spot on my hand, it didn’t seem to be sticky or greasy) and the divine scent may refresh you additionally, if you like it. Also, it’s really a mild cleanser and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. It worked exactly the way it should work, removed my make-up, smells great, feels great, thumbs up!
At cosmetic-love you can buy it for US$19.05. For a cleanser it may be a lot for some of you, but I assure you: 182 ml is really a lot, snce you only need a cherry size amount of cream maximum. I didn’t use up a quarter of it yet…
