Review: Leaders Coconut Bio Mask

27. October 2019

//KBEAUTY/PR SAMPLE/SKINCARE//

This is my first review after a long time! I did take a long hiatus from blogging, but now I’m back with new energy and motivation. My review today is about the Leaders Coconut Bio Mask. I reviewed the Leaders 7 Wonders Biocellulose Masks before and loved them so much back then, that I was very curious about these coconut masks and couldn’t wait to try them.

Leaders Coconut Bio Masks

The Leaders Coconut Bio Mask comes in four versions, dedicated to various superfoods that are used as key ingredient. There are the versions with blueberry,  tomatoes, brokkoli, and orange. Each sheet mask is packed in a sachet with the key ingredient displayed . This makes the mask design very colorful and vibrant! I loved to take pictures of the sheet masks thanks to this beautiful design. If you go for the Coconut Bio Mask Special Set you will receive a box  that contains one of each kind. The masks are no cotton sheet masks, but instead they are naturally fermented coconut gel masks.

Leaders Coconut Bio Masks

Leaders Coconut Bio Masks

Leaders Coconut Bio Mask with Orange

Again, the ingredients are identical to the other masks, except of the key ingredient orange. Orange is rich in Vitamin C, which has brightening effects and also acts as a mild exfoliator.  The mask is free from parabens, sulphates, alcohol, silicone and is EU allergen free (according to Skincarisma), too.

Leaders Coconut Bio Masks

I used all four Leaders Coconut Bio Masks very quickly because of several reasons: first of all, I love these biocellulose masks made from fermented coconut A LOT! they adhere perfectly to my skin and also fit greatly to my facial shape. In contrast to hydrogel masks that keep sliding off my face, and are torn very easily, these are so pleasant to use. You have to remove two layers of protective film though! The second reason why I loved these masks were that they make the skin feel smooth and hyddrated. It is hard to say which of these was my favorite though, because as you can see from comparing the ingredients, all the masks are similar, except of the key ingredient. I liked them all.  Also, it’s great that they are free from parabens, alcohol and sulphates. There are some fungal acne triggers though according to Skincarisma. I didn’t experience any irritations, but every person and skin type reacts in a different way. One downside for sensitive skin types is that the masks are not free from fragrances, and also the Orange mask can be too much for some skin types, because of the exfoliating effects of vitamin C. All in all, I’m very happy with my Leaders Coconut Bio Mask experience and I can definitely recommend you to try these. Especially, if you don’t like hydrogel masks, you can give these biocellulose masks a try instead!

Have you tried biocellulose masks, yet? What do think of these Leaders sheet masks?

Review: Dermalogica Prisma Protect

17. April 2019

//AD / PR SAMPLE / SKINCARE //

With summer approaching here in Europe, it is time to think about sun protection for many people. I’m a sunscreen believer, so I’m wearing sunscreen no matter what season it is. This is even more crucial if you have chemical exfoliants (AHA, BHA, PHA, Vitamin C…) in your skincare regimen. Here is one of my currently used sun protection products, the Dermalogica Prisma Protect SPF30.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermalogica is an American Personal Care company and their products are sold in more than 80 countries all over the world. This means that it is quite likely, that you have heard of this brand before. I have some of their products in my skincare rotation at the moment, and not so long ago I wrote a review for their Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum. So if you are looking for new Vitamin C serums by any chance, also take some time to stop by my review >>here<<.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

The Dermalogica Prisma Protect is a light-activated multitasking product, combing moisturizer and sunscreen. It contains a broad spectrum high sun protection with SPF30. The product is designed for all skin types and helps to prevent damage and aging by protecting the skin from pollution and UV.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

The sun protection ingredients used in this cream are Homosalate, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane. Apart from these UV-Filters, the Dermalogica Prisma Protect also contains Vitamin E (Tocopherol and Tocopheryl acetate) for anti-aging properties. Other noteworthy ingredients are Ginger Root Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract and Chlorella Vulgaris Extract.

Water/Aqua/Eau,  Homosalate, Octocrylene, Silica, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane,  Coconut Alkanes,  Dimethicone, Glycerin, Dimethyl Capramide, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, VP/Eicosene  Copolymer, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Saccharide lsomerate, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Sclareolide, Tocopherol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Coco Caprylate/Caprate,  Glyceryl Stearate SE, PEG-100 Stearate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Arachidyl Alcohol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Behenyl Alcohol,  Benzyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Xanthan Gum, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Arachidyl Glucoside,  Ethylhexylglycerin,  Methicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Caprylyl Glycol, Propanediol, Geraniol, Limonene, Citral, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate,  1,2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol.

The Dermalogica Prisma Protect is free from parabens, sulfates, and alcohol. Moreover, the product is cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny and PETA. It is vegan, no synthetic dyes or fragrances, and, if this isn’t enough, it is gluten-free, too.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

The product itself comes in a plastic tube which was packed in a prism-shaped cardboard box. The signature design of the brand is typically white with the brand printed predominantly on the packaging. The Prima Protect Cream has a holographic cap and several holographic elements in addition to the simple design. This fits nicely to the idea of a light-activated product.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

The tube contains 50 ml of product, which is a good size to start with. The tube squeezes easily and reveals a white cream. It is advised to apply the cream after your other skincare steps, and 30 minutes before sun exposure.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

The cream has a herbal kind-of scent with a hint of ginger, which is not very dominant. The cream spreads well and leaves a subtle glow. It feels dry and not greasy, but still, it provides some moisture. I still need a moisturizer below this sunscreen though for my dry skin type, and I could not use this as moisturizer and sunscreen in one product. Moreover, SPF30 might not be high enough for summer, but for low sun exposure, it might be enough. I enjoy however the lightweight feeling on the skin and the way it absorbs quickly. Have you tried any products by Dermalogica? What do you think about the Dermalogica Prisma Protect? In my opinion, it’s a good product texturewise, but too expensive for the protection given and regarding daily use. For a multipurpose product, it does not give me enough hydration.

You can get the serum for 67€ from Dermalogica.

Review: BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks

24. March 2019

//BEAUTY / SKINCARE / PR SAMPLE //

Time for a new sheet mask post! A while ago I received the exclusive BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks by the kind people of Komawo, a KBeauty Online Retailer based in Germany. I tried both masks and today I’ll be sharing my impression with you:

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks

BRUCKE is a new KBeauty brand based on oriental medicine, combined with the practical diagnostics of western medical sciences. Their motto is “Heal Your Skin” and the products are designed to improve problematic skin and increase the immunity of it. Their key complex is the Advanced Cooling Composition, called A.C.C., which is extracted from natural herbs to keep the skin at the optimum temperature. It also has other effects like anti-inflammatory properties, sterilization, etc.

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks

There are two BRUCKE Keep Cooling MAsks: The BRUCKE Keep Cooling Hydrogel Soothing Mask and the BRUCKE Keep Cooling Foilgel Lifting Mask. As you can see the design of the brand is simple and tries to look kind of science-y, showing diagrams of the temperatures of different facial areas before and after application.

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Foilgel Lifting Mask

The BRUCKE Keep Cooling Foilgel Lifting Mask is designed for pore tightening and volumizing. It has lifting, moisturizing, cooling and wrinkle-care properties. The sheet mask of this mask is made of a breathable gold foilgel sheet, which looks very pretty at first glance and also while wearing it on your face. The sheet has a good fit and stays in place for the time used. The ingredients are US FDA OTC and China CFDA registered. The key ingredients are Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract, and Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract. Moreover, it contains Mentha Arvensis Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tocopherol, Adenosine, and Allantoin.

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, PVM/MA Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Cellulose Gum, Adenosine, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Betaine, Polysorbate 80, Menthyl PCA, Ethyl Menthane Carboxamide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tromethamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance

I enjoyed wearing this mask and I also loved how posh it looked with the gold pattern. The sheet is divided into two sections, one for the upper facial half and one for the lower. This helps for a better fit and keeps the mask better in its place, too. It was recommended to use this mask for 10-20 minutes. It’s not possible to evaluate properties like wrinkle-care or lifting with one-time use of the mask, but it did make the face feel refreshed and had a noticeable cooling effect. Due to the cooling sensation, the skin feels more tight and plump as well.

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Hydrogel Soothing Mask

The BRUCKE Keep Cooling Hydrogel Soothing Mask is designed for long-time moisturizing and volumizing. It has cooling, whitening, wrinkle-care, moisturizing and soothing properties. The sheet mask of this mask is made of a thick hydrogel sheet, which has a grid structure to adhere better to the skin. The ingredients here are also US FDA OTC and China CFDA registered. The key ingredients are Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract, Niacinamide, and Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract. Compared to the Foilgel Lifting Mask the ingredients list contains even more plant-based ingredients and extract, like honey, Mentha Arvensis extract, ginseng root extract, Morus Alba extract, chamomile extract and many more.

Ingredients: Water Water Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract 1,2-Hexanediol Mentha Arvensis Extract Dipropylene Glycol Glycerin Niacinamide Chondrus Crispus Powder Ceratonia Siliqua Gum Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Butylene Glycol Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract Centella Asiatica Extract 1,2-Hexanediol Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract Glyceryl Caprylate Ethylhexylglycerin Cetyl Ethylhexanoate Ceratonia Siliqua Gum Glyceryl Stearate Cellulose Gum Sodium Polyacrylate Hydrogenated Polydecene Trideceth-6 Allantoin Water Butylene Glycol Rehmannia Glutinosa Root Extract Honey Extract Poria Cocos Extract Panax Ginseng Root Extract Water Butylene Glycol Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract Sophora Flavescens Root Extract Angelica Gigas Root Extract Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract Morus Alba Bark Extract Phellinus Linteus Extract Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract Polygonum Multiflorum Root Extract Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract Polysorbate 20 Disodium EDTA Adenosine Fragrance Water Butylene Glycol Rosa Multiflora Fruit Extract Water Butylene Glycol Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract Water Butylene Glycol Hovenia Dulcis Fruit Extract

The fit for this mask was good, too, and similar to the mask above, the sheet is separated into two parts to make it fit better. The hydrogel has a pleasant thickness but is still see-through. It was recommended to use this mask for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I felt an unpleasant tickling feeling, so that I removed it after 15 minutes. This can be either related to any of the ingredients or that I had a bit of sensitive skin that day. Again, this is hard to evaluate, by only using one sheet mask, but I could definitely feel the cooling effect. According to the ingredients list, there are also a bunch of extracts that I usually enjoy a lot in my skincare, like ginseng, honey, or chamomile.

BRUCKE Keep Cooling Masks

All in all, I enjoyed the fit of the two masks and I especially liked the BRUCKE Keep Cooling Foilgel Lifting Mask. I don’t know why my skin didn’t like the other one, but it is also hard to find who or what is to blame after only one use. You can either check them out from the official site or from Komawo. In my personal opinion, the price of almost 10€ is a bit too high, especially regarding the point that it is a one-time product. Other then that, I’m happy to see new and more unknown brands being licensed in EU. By the way, the online retailer Komawo is great if you are looking for Kbeauty brands that are EU licensed, this way you will avoid problems with customs, as well. Since they are based in Germany shipping is very quick, too. Free shipping starts from 40€.

What is your impression of the brand BRUCKE?

Review: Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil Light and More

28. February 2019

//PR SAMPLE / KBEAUTY / SKINCARE //

I love facial oils! For one reason, my skin type is quite dry. We have four seasons in Germany and winter tends to be quite cold and aggressive for drier skin types, but even normal or sensitive skin types will feel the effect of weather on their skin. Since our faces are exposed to the weather every day, it’s a good idea to help out with some oils to protect the skin barrier. One of the oils I’m using at the moment is the Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil. Actually, the full name is “Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil: “Light and More”. Thanks and a shout-out to Korean Smooch at this point for providing me with this facial oil for reviewing purpose.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

Korean brand Huxley (헉슬리)

“Great things never came from comfort zones.” – That’s the motto of the Korean brand Huxley (헉슬리). And that motto already tells you so much about the brand. Huxley is a contemporary brand with the mission to find and benefit from ingredients that are characteristic of extreme environments. Their aim is to use these innovative ingredients and contribute to new skincare trends in that way (check out the English brand description >>here<<). By the way, did you know that the brand name actually refers to the author Aldous Huxley, who wrote the dystopia “Brave New World”?

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

I must confess that I was drawn to the brand when I saw the first promotional images and I fell in love with the simple packaging design. Actually, you might find it boring, because it’s so plain, but somehow I was drawn to it. And then I read about the Secret of Sahara line and I was sold. As someone with dry skin, I can definitely see my skin to be as dry as the desert, and that name was almost shouting my name. I was lucky enough to get my hand on some travel sized samples of Huxley’s Secret of Sahara skincare line, including the Huxley Secret of Sahara Essence: Grab Water, Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence: Essence-Like, Oil-Like, and the Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil: Light and More. Out of the three, I loved the oil so much, that I knew that I needed the full-sized bottle of the facial oil, in order to write a full review here.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil: Light and More

The Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil is described as followed on the brand’s page:

“A lightweight facial oil that contains prickly pear seed oil with outstanding moisturizing ability. It absorbs into the skin quickly, protects it from various stressors, and fortifies the skin”

It’s three features are: Firstly, it’s a non-greasy lightweight oil that does not leave an oily appearance. Second, it’s a fast absorbing, light and dry oil suitable for all skin types. Lastly, it provides rich moisture for dry skin. According to the description it can be used during day and night. It’s possible to use it plain or mixed with cream, foundation, or even with toner and used as mist. Best part, you can use it on your lips and hair as well.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

Key Ingredient: Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil

The ingredients list of the Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil is surprisingly short. It contains the Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil as the key ingredient, an example for an ingredient that is observed in extreme environments since the Sahara Prickly Pear survives the extreme temperature variance of the Sahara of 50°C during the day. The seed oil is especially rich in linolic acid and therefore has a great moisturizing effect on the skin, but also contains other unsaturated lipids (oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid). Due to high contents in gamma-Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and flavonoids the seed oil has great anti-aging effects. It’s also rich in Vitamin K, by the way, which is great for brightening and cell-stimulating. Last, but not least, the Prickly Pear Seed Oil used in Huxley products is a certified organic ingredient with the Ecocert label.

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Squalane, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance

Apart from the very exclusive key ingredient, the list contains other well-known oils, namely sunflower seed oil, and jojoba seed oil. Both are rich in unsaturated fatty acids and tocopherol, similar to the prickly pear seed oil. The last oil spotted is Abyssinian Seed Oil, or known as Crambe Abyssinian Seed Oil. The Abyssinian Seed Oil is rich in erucic acid, a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid, but also contains a good amount of oleic and linolic acid. The Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil is free from parabens, silicones, alcohols, sulfates, and is EU-Allergen free. The minimal ingredients list is also a benefit. You can check the full ingredients via SkinCarisma.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

The Scent of a Spring Garden

Let’s talk about the scent: I’m not a scent sensitive person regarding skincare. On the contrary, I prefer aromatic scents, because it brings me joy while I’m applying my skincare. There are scents that I adore, like rose or green tea for example. For this oil, I absolutely had no expectation regarding the scent in any way. And that’s what surprised me most: the scent is intoxicating! The first time I used the Huxley Secret of Sahara trial set I was so positively surprised! It reminded me of my childhood, and of fields and flowers and playing outside. Now, after doing my research on the brand site I discovered, that the fragrance they use is a collaboration with LUZI, a traditional Swiss fragrance company. You can check out the fragrance pyramid on the official product description page I linked above. I read the first sentence of the fragrance description and I was amazed since it describes exactly the same image I had from using it for the first time: “The first impression is like stepping from inside a house into a lush green garden […]”.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

My Impression

The texture of the oil is as you would expect from the description: it’s a liquid, clear oil with a light yellowish color. It absorbs very quickly and feels dry and not greasy upon application. Yet, you feel that it acts nourishing on the skin. I’m using 2-3 drops of the oil on my face and neck. Usually, I use it together with cream, but sometimes I use it even on its own, only followed by the sunscreen. I have used it on my lips, too, and sometimes I use my hands afterward on the end of my hair. I can only say, that this oil does everything I expect from a good facial oil and I have no complaints here to make. The bottle comes with a dropper cap and is easy to use. The volume is 30 ml, and it lasts a long time since you are only using a few drops each time. I also like the fact, that the bottle is made out of glass.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

Many people imagine facial oils to bee too heavy. I assure you that this oil is lightweight, as it also states in the product description! Apart from providing hydration and nourishment it doesn’t leave the skin greasy at all and can be used day and night. Of course, this is my personal impression, and everyone has different needs regarding their skin, but I can say for myself that I can recommend using the Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil, and that I’m enjoying it in my skincare routine. I can also say, that I would repurchase this oil anytime.

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil

I received the Huxley Secret Of Sahara Oil for reviewing purpose from Korean Smooch, an online retailer for Korean cosmetics products based in France. This shop might be especially interesting for people ordering from the EU. Delivery to Germany, for example, is free from 80€ purchase and takes approximately 3 to 5 days to arrive. And the best, no customs duties for EU as they ship from France! Check out the Huxley products they offer >>here<<.

Are you using any facial oils? Do you have a favorite brand or oil blend that you swear by? And what is your impression about the Korean brand Huxley?

Review: Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

18. February 2019

// PR SAMPLE / SKINCARE / KBEAUTY //

As you might know, I love the double cleansing method. If you don’t know what it is, I can recommend you so much to try it. With the double cleansing method, you use an oil-based cleanser first to remove your makeup, and the continue with a second cleanser for cleansing your skin. In my eyes, oil cleansers and balm cleansers are the most effective way to remove makeup. Here is one of the oil cleansers that I’m using at the moment: the Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil.

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

IUnik is a Korean brand that has launched a couple of interesting skincare products. Their packaging design is simple but neat, and the products sound promising. you can check out the products >>here<< on the official webpage. I also reviewed the Iunik Rose Galactomyces Essential Toner and Synergy Serum some time ago here on my blog. I was happy and curious to try a new product from their range this time.

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

The Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil is a mild cleansing oil suitable for all skin types that contains 94% of pure plant oil. The packaging design is simple as expected for the brand and the ingredients list is short and down to the point, which I really like.

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

Ingredients: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil,  Canola Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower extract, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Cananga odorata flower oil, Sorbitan Sesquioleate

This is the full ingredients list! 7 ingredients and 5 of them are plant-based oils. I love that fact. You can also check the ingredients via SkinCarisma if you want to. The product is free from parabens, sulfates, alcohol, silicone. It is EU allergen free and has a minimalistic ingredients list.

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

The cleansing oil comes in a pump bottle containing 200ml, which will last you for a long time. I’ve been using this cleanser now for 2 months in rotation with some other cleansers and I’ve used half of the bottle.

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

The texture is typical for an oil cleanser and feels like oil, too. it emulsifies when it is in contact with water. Usually, you apply cleansing oils on your dry skin and rub gently, to dissolve the makeup and the dirt. Then, using lukewarm water emulsify the oil on your face and work it in some more, before washing it off. Then, follow up with your preferred second cleanser. It perfectly removes the makeup and works great in my eyes. the short ingredients list is a plus if you are looking for products with limited irritation triggers. It doesn’t have any specific scent apart from a typical vegetable oil scent.

Iunik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

All in all, I think that many people will like this oil cleanser for a short and not complicated ingredients list. On the other hand, seeing the price tag of 21.99US$ is a bit high in my eyes, regarding that it is mostly vegetable oil used here. Some people might think that it is actually cheaper to mix up your own oil cleanser using some plant-based oils. What are your thoughts on this?

Have you tried any products from iUnik, yet?

PAPA RECIPE Bombee Honey Mask

Travel Sized Products

BENTON Snail Bee High Content Steam

A thick and rich cream containing snail mucus and bee venom. Many people love this cream and it has been reformulated since the last time I used it. Back in the past, my skin didn’t like the products from this line, unfortunately.

BENTON Honest Cleansing Foam

I have reviewed this cleanser in the past and I remember that I liked it a lot, because it didn’t make my skin feel dry after using it. Read my review >>here<<.

TOUCH IN SOL No PoreBlem Primer

This primer seems to be very popular, too. It has a unique formula that controls sebum, banishing shine! Key ingredients include green tea extract providing soothing antioxidant benefits, and collagen boosting smooth and healthy skin.

Samples

PYUNKANG YUL Mist Toner

The Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner is great for refreshing and hydrating tired skin. Its key ingredient is Coptis japonica root extract which is a powerful antioxidant which nourishes the skin and reduces any inflammations. I have heard very positive opinions about the brand so far.

COSRX PHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream

The COSRX Moisture Renewal Power Cream is great for softening and moisturizing your skin. It’s a gentle chemical exfoliator (3% PHA) that reduces moisture loss but also contains coconut extract that promotes hydration. I have the full-sized jar in use and love the glowing effect that it delivers to my skin the next morning.

UNPA Peach Me Up Peach Essence Tone-Up Cream

Moisturizes and brightens the appearance of skin while maintaining tone. This brand is new to me but I like the fact that it contains 71% Real Peach Essence as a key ingredient.

HEIMISH All Clean pH Balancing Facial Cleanser

This cleaning gel helps to balance out the skin’s pH level while removing impurities. Witch hazel and Centella Asiatica are some noteworthy ingredients.

Top 5 Favorites from Wishtrend

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

If you do not know whether harsh chemical peelings like AHA and BHA are suited for your skin you should go for this mild chemical exfoliator containing mandelic acid. Mandelic Acid is a mild AHA, which is perfectly suited for sensitive skin types. It didn’t feel irritating at all and makes the skin texture so much more even. Read my review >>here<<

Top 5 Favorites from Wishtrend

Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop

The Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop is a night serum containing the peptides EGF (rh-Oligopeptide-1) and bFGF (RH-Polypeptide-1) to target aging skin. The serum is made with only 10 core ingredients and without the use of purified water and acts as a high concentration/ high strength delay aging serum. Read my review >>here<<.

Top 5 Favorites from Wishtrend

By Wishtrend Teca 1% Barrier Cream

By Wishtrend Teca 1% Barrier Cream is a spot treatment cream that creates a protective layer to keep moisture and active ingredients within the skin while strengthening, calming, and improving the skin’s overall health with help of Centella Asiatica.  Although it is designed as a spot treatment, I personally use it on my whole face when I feel that it is irritated. You can read my review >>here<<.

Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence

I have a couple of sunscreens in my routine at the moment but there are only two that I really really love to use every day. The Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence is one of them, and I can only recommend it if you haven’t found your holy grail daily sun protection. Read my review >>here<<. Top 5 Favorites from Wishtrend

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

I have used 5 bottles of this serum and it is – hands down – still one of my all-time favorites! I love the warming sensation and the oil-like consistency of the serum and it makes the skin look more healthy and smooth than before. LOVE! It’s a great match together with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, which is lovely and has a wonderful cream-to-liquid consistency and acts brightening. Read my review for the Vitamin Drop >>here<<, and for the Vitamin E Mask >>here<<.

Review: A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

18. November 2018

// PR SAMPLE / KBEAUTY / SKINCARE //

There are brands that you keep seeing all around, but somehow you never really get a chance to get your hands on them, or in my case, try to use up all your products lying at home before starting to open up anything new. A by Bom is one of these brands that I kept seeing all around and I was so curious how good or bad their products world perform for my skin. I was very happy to receive my first products from the brand by BemusedKorea some weeks ago. Luckily, one of the products was an eye cream and at the same time, my Erborian Bamboo Eye Gel was about to be finished. Perfect timing to exchange an old product with a new one! Here is my review for the A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream.

A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

A by Bom Cosmetics is another Kbeauty brand from the vast amount of increasing KBeauty brands on the market. Their motivation is to take care of people and nature. A.by BOM Cosmetics is made of natural ingredients of various vegetable oils and extracts such as rice, beans, camellia, jasmine, lotus, black teas, and so on.

A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

The A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream is a collagen-rich firming eye cream that comes in a rose gold pump bottle. A very elegant design, by the way, that looks good on every bathroom counter. The simple cardboard box of the product has the characteristic girl illustration on one side. The other sides are very simple and contain the Korean description of the product. Luckily, the ingredients were also listed on BemusedKorea, so I can also talk about them in the following.

A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Betaine, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Niacinamide, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Pentaerythrityl Distearate, Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Glucoside, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Poria Cocos Sclerotium Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Cordyceps Sinensis Extract, Yeast Extract, Piper Methysticum Leaf/Root/Stem Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Panax Ginseng Berry Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Lepidium Meyenii Root Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Leaf Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Dimethicone, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Squalane, Polyquaternium-51, Alcohol, Glycosyl Trehalose, Isononyl Isononanoate, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Allantoin, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Raffinose, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Stearic Acid, Adenosine, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Disodium Edta, Lecithin, Beta-Glucan, Caramel, Pvm/Ma Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Panthenol, Inulin Lauryl Carbamate, Acacia Senegal Gum, Folic Acid, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Cyanocobalamin, Cermaide NP, Cholesterol, Tromethamine, Maltodextrin, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Fragrance, 1,2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyglycerin

According to SkinCarisma, the A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream is free from paraben, sulfate, and EU allergens. It does contain silicone and alcohol though. The alcohol is the only ingredient which might be critical for dry skin types and sensitive skin types. Other than that you will find a bunch of plant-based extracts in the first place. Some noteworthy ingredients are Blackberry extract, Maca Peptide, Poria Cocos Extract, Ginseng Berry and fermented extracts. The blackberries contain natural collagen boosters. They protect and energize the skin. Maca Peptides strengthen the skin. Poria Cocos Extract gives strength and nutrition, while ginseng berries and fermented extracts hydrate and soften the skin. Additionally, niacinamide has brightening properties, and royal jelly adds more nutrients. There are a lot of anti-aging ingredients, too: niacinamide, Adenosine, ceramides, and even Vitamin E.

A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

If you look at the cream/balm-type texture you will already feel the protective layer that this eye cream creates. Thanks to Shea Butter and Mango Butter it feels very luxurious and rich. The balm texture feels satin-like and soft upon application and melts into the skin. You will fee a firming and cooling effect on your skin. The eye cream has a pleasant scent to me.

A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

Once absorbed it is not visible any longer and is not leaving oiliness at all. But it will feel a bit tacky and firm when touched.

A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream

I personally love to use the A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream during the day. It creates a nice and rich protective film, especially in winter I love this kind of feeling. You can also use this cream on your lids and it doesn’t make the skin more greasy, for example. Of course, compared to my previous gel type eye cream from Erborian, it is not as cooling and moist, but it does have a refreshing feeling. I think that this eye cream makes a perfect replacement for my old one regarding the change of seasons here! At the moment, you can get your hands on the A by Bom Ultra Time Return Eye Cream for 39.20 US$ on BemusedKorea thanks to Black Friday Sales, which is 20% less than the regular price of 49US$!

Have you tried this eye cream? What are your thoughts on eye cream in general? Useful, or do you just use the same cream for your face on your eyes as well?

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

17. November 2018

//PR SAMPLES / BEAUTY/ SKINCARE //

Today's post will be about my favorite products from the BeautyPress event I attended recently. I decided to write the post in German. But if you want to know any details to any of the products below, please feel free to ask in the comments below. I'll be happy to answer your questions :)

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

Marie-Theres Schindler

Zaphiraw

Xtravaganz

Conzilla

Puderperlen

MichèleSchmidt

Blaunahmlich

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

Dr.Grandel Hyaluron Love Edition

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

Gehwol Soft Feet Pflegebad

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

4ever Young by Asam beauty Black & Beautiful Lashes

Blogparade: Best of BeautyPress Goodiebags

Was sagt ihr dazu?

Just as a short reminder: All products mentioned and reviewed on this blog are of my personal opinions. This product here was sent to me for reviewing purpose by https://www.beautypress.de/ which doesn’t influence me in providing my honest opinion on the products.
