I’ll be showing you today the contents of my Glossyboxes for August and September. Last month I completely forgot about the August Box, that’s Why I will show you two boxes this time ;)

I had a lot of ideas about how this box could be filled, but there is only one product out of the box related to the topic in my opinion. I expected to get more products with different spicey scents and stuff like this :D Nevertheless, this box is GREAT. I love the products and I have use for each of them :D So I better should not complain…

Also this box was great. I was so happy to be able to try another Jelly Pong Pong Product (I raved about the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Stain before), and also I’m curious about the Korres cleanser *_*

Unboxing: Glossybox July 2013 Le Grand Bleu Edition

Hello :)

On Saturday my Glossybox for July arrived. Topic for this month’s box is “Le Grand Bleu”-Edition. I was surprised how fast it arrived. they announced on Friday that they start delivering and on Saturday it arrived. Also the design was different again this time. The box is a bright blue with motifs from the sea and it makes you dreaming about sitting at the beach and listeneing to the ocean. ♥ They really did a great job with the design this time. It is also the first time since I subscribed, that I got a Glossy Magazine. The boxes before, there was always some other magazine or stuff.

Now, here is what I got this time *drumroll*

I’m much more pleased with this box than I was last month. I’m happy about the lash curler, because I don’t own one. Also, I was curious about the Figs & Rouge Lip Balms for some months now.

Nailpolish is always useful, although the color is more pink than coral (I’d prefer coral, but I use the pink nevertheless :D ). I’m curious about the moisturizing serum, although at the moment I have enough Serums and stuff like this to try out. The least exciting product is the handcream, but it is travel size, so I’ll put it into my bag in two weeks ( btw: I’m going to vacations in august, yeeiiii :D ).

As a gift the box contained a sample of Lolita Lempicka perfume called “L de Lolita Lempicka”, which was a highlight for me. I always wanted to try a Lolita Lempicka perfume and here it is! And it smells sweet and georgeous! *_* I love it! ♥

Conclusion: I’m really happy with this months box, especially since I was so dissapointed last month. I hope Glossybox keeps on improving their boxes and I really like the idea of differently designed boxes (although I like the pink boxes, too). Also, this box really helped me to decide on a new perfume :D

Conclusion:

When I opened the card and saw the brand Kryolan I was very happy first, because I thought I’ll get one of the lip & cheek color tubes. That would have been great. But it was eye shadow, which would not have been too bad, actually, but in green?! Seriously? I hardly use eyeshadows at all, and if, I go for brown or black…I’m not yet sure what to do with this eyeshadow :D The brush from Zoeva is nice, but here again, I rarely use eyeshadow…Perhaps it’s a sign for me to start practicing :D

The powder puff with the containing powder is nice and huge, but it doesn’t have anything for keeping it. I don’t know where to put it to prevent it from getting dirty, and from loosing powder all over my dressing table. Day creams are always useful. This time it’s a cream from Astalift. I still didn’t try the Eucerine cream from last month because I want to empty my current one first…I hope I won’t get another day cream next month XD

Last but not least, the shower foam from Rituals: This is actually the only product where I definitely will be able to use it up in near future. Also, I never tried Ritual products before, and the term !shower foam! makes me curious.

All in all, this is not the best box I got. If they would have put a nice tin for the powder puff at least I’d been more happy and I could hide my dissapontment about the green eyeshadow…Let’s see if I will be more lucky in July.

Review: Lioele Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base

This will be a short review based on a sample of Lioele’s Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base. Again, I got this product with my Keautybox Sample Kit of May (here). Normally, I’m a base skipper in my daily make-up routine. Mostly because I don’t have enough time in the mornings ^_^”’ I hope you don’t get bothered or bored with all those sample reviews the last days, but I promise the next one(s) are full sized products again :D

The sample sachet looks very simple with the colors typical for Lioele: white and pink. Also the little carriage is shown on the sample :D The content of the sachet is a pink cream with pearly shimmer. The consistency is not runny but pleasantly creamy. If feels very soft after applying and leaves a pearly shimmer, which is not glittery. I don’t like glitter in products, but this one was really nice and made the skin look more radiant/glowing. Although I’m a base and primer skipper, I liked this one. It didn’t look artificially and too glittery but provided a nice glow on the skin.

This Lioele C.A.D Oxygen Miniature Set comes in two small bottles, one for the toner and one for the lotion. The small bottles are very solid and have a simple design in light blue. Unfortunately, the solid plastic is a problem for applying the emulsion, since it hardly comes out of the bottle. You have either to put this bottle upside down and wait or you take a small spatula or something similar and take it out this way.

Below, I will show you a picture of the toner:

The toner absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave you skin sticky. It cleans residual makeup quite good and makes you feel refreshed. But, since it contains alcohol it feels drying on my dry skin.

The emulsion can be used after the toner and it should provide moisture to your skin. Below you can see the milky lotion:

The emulsion leaves a little bit of a sticky feeling after it absorbs, but the skin feels smooth afterwards. The scent of both products is pleasant and flowery.

Both products contain alcohol, so they’re not suited very much for people with dry skin like me. The lotion didn’t provide enough moisture for my skin, but I guess this product works better for oily skin.I won’t recommend this product for dry skin, but it may be better for people with oily skin. The miniature set contains 5 ml each, you can buy it at Keautystore for US$ 3.80. The full size bottles contain 155 ml each and cost US$ 26.40 for the toner and US$ 28.80 for the lotion. Review: Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush

When I got my Glossybox in May I was really happy that I got a Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush in red. I love lip products and I love red shades, plus the packaging of this lip blush looked really nice and it was a company I didn’t know. From that day I received the Glossybox until now this lip blush became one of my favourite lip products and I use it alternately with my other every day favourite lip product, Etude House’s Kissful Tint Choux.

Here’s the products description taken from Jelly Pong Pong’s official web page:

A moisturizing lip stain that tints your lips with just the right amount of juicy colour and hydrates like a balm. Apply liberally, purse and let the silky lightweight texture melt onto your lips.

Bonus : Made with beeswax and ceresin wax for a sheer, smooth application

The packaging is nice, but simply, in the color of the lip blush. It has a clear cap and a winding mechanism to wind up the lip blush. On Jelly Pong Pong’s web page you can see, that the packaging of the lip blush is really cute and nice, with flowers printed on it. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with the packaging in the Glossybox. :/

The texture of the lip blush is really nice and creamy. It has good pigmentation which stays on your lips a lot (unless you start eating a hearty meal). What I like most about it, is it’s moisturizing ability. It really feels moisturizing on the lips and doesn’t dry them out. Also, it doesn’t crumble between the lines of your lips. I have often dry lips and I have a problem with some lipsticks that they set between the dry line, but this one gives you a nice evenly lip color. ♥

I recommend the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush to everyone who loves lip products and is in search of a good every day lip blusher. Oh, and it’s cruelty-free, too!♥

Today my Glossybox for this month arrived. I was really curious about the content this time because the topic was “Glossybox Favourites” and I had high hopes for the content.

This month box came with this magazine. I just had a first glance, but magazines are always nice :)

I’m really happy with this times box. I was interested in the Neutrogena product last time I went to a drugstore anyways, but I didn’t buy it (luckily). And I like Neutrogena creams a lot. It’s also Original size :) The lip blush is great, too. It is in my favourite lip color (red) and it’s original size, too. I wanted to test the Eucerin cream anyways, which makes another plus for this box. I gave the eyeshadow to my mum and she was happy about it, since I have enough shimmering nude eye shadows. I never tried any Bigsexyhair products, so I’m curious how it will work. Surprisingly this 50 ml bottle is to be the full sized product…nevertheless, conditioner is always useful.

Really nice box, my compliments to the Glossybox team, after all these criticism for their last box they did a great job ♥ Thank you, Glossybox! ♥

A lot of people complained about the lack of decorative cosmetics in this box, but keeping in mind the title for this month I think the content was appropriate. I was very happy for having a sample of the TAY night cream. This is really a product I’m curious of trying. Also, gel-patches for high heels are always a nice thing. I like to use them anyway. The foam mask from Merz and the hair ties were additional products. I won’t use the hair ties, unless I’ll stay at home, because I don’t like neon colors, but since I love masks, I’m happy about this one. Especially since it is for dry skin and after having this long winter I hope it can help :D

There are nevertheless some points I want to remark: Putting the thermal water from Avène in this month’s box fits with the topic of this month, but why did they put the same product into last month’s box?! And why didn’t they put at least a (facial) mist of another brand?!Hope they won’t do this anymore, because it makes customers unnecessarily unhappy…
