1st Taobao Order via Taobaoring

3. October 2013
After browsing though taobao over and over again and accumulating a lot of links from products I wanted to have I finally did my first taobao order :D And I don’t regret I did…♥ So let’s see what I bought and how:

I used taobaoring as agent and I was really satisfied with their service. They’re easy to use and really quick. I placed my order at taobaoring on 1st of September and my package arrived on 26 of September via airmail. One item I wanted to order was out of stock and another one was not available in the color I wanted, so I had to choose another color.
Here are the items I got ( I bought everything from the shop http://forestgirlfans.taobao.com):

I fell in love with the fairytale inspired motif on this dress. The quality of the dress is really good. the details are nice and it is sewn nicely. It has an integrated undergarment, too. The dress is available in one size only, so if you are tall this dress will be too short for you. Also, if you have C cup I won’t recommend it.

These shorts are super comfy. The waist is stretchy and fits perfectly. I wear normally European size 38 (M) for skirts and shorts. On the images of the shop these shorts look super wide. If you have the same size that I have don’t expect them to be as wide ;) The lace doesn’t look cheap or anything and also here I have no complains about sewing or the quality of the fabric. I bought them in blue, but there are other colors, too.

I wanted to have this blouse in red, but it was out of stock and I chose the brown color instead, which is lovely, too. I’m European size 36 (S/XS) for t-shirts/blouses and it fits perfectly. The material is slightly stretchable, perhaps it fits as 38 as well, but anything larger could be difficult. again, the quality is very nice.

This item I was curious about, and I still am, because I still don’t know when and how to wear it best. This is a light cotton blouse with short sleeves and a laced collar. The collar is adjustable. The fabric is a bit translucent, so you can use it for layering. I think it looks nice if you wear it under a summer dress…perhaps?!

Here are the perfect shoes for the fairytale dress from above :D I love them. They had a strong plastic scent when unpacking them, but after one day wearing they are fine. Two flower-y shoe pads were included. The material seems sturdy, too.

What are your experiences with taobao? Do you have any favorite shops? I already gathered some new things to order XD

Very cute! I especially like the shoes. I recently placed my first order with Taobaoring too, but I haven’t received it yet. I like the fact that they send you a photo before they ship your order to you… it gives me something to gaze at longingly while I wait for my stuff, haha.

Thank you! I saw the blogposts you made about this shop and that was one of the main reasons why I ordered them, since I new they were a reliable seller ;) So in the end I have to thank you :D

I’ve always thought the process seemed a little complicated, but I’ll have to check out the agent you went with. Love the fairytale dress. <3

I thought it would be complicated, too, but in the end it was not. The delivery takes some time, which can be annying if you’re curious how the clothes will look on you. And the delivery costs suck…But if you are lucky you can get some really nice clothes…I’m absolutely in love with this fairytale dress. I love the theme :D

Really lovely products you have got, I like the shoes you have bought!

I have never bought anything from Taobao before, but I have got a few things from my sister when she ordered from there. It seems complicated for me, so I will probably just ask my sister if I got something I really want to get from Taobao.

It’s good, when you have someone you knows how it works and she can order for you. I wish I had someone ordering for me XD

    I always wanted to order from Taobao because their clothes are so kawaii and cuteee aaah ;w; But I think it’s sooo pricey to order with an agent >u< You will have to pay twice as much as the product worth :’c But I love the shorts and blouse with the dots <3 I need to find them on my next trip to China, the clothes are so adorable ; u ;
And you can try out Yesstyle for cute asian clothes too~! I think they have free shipping worlwide at the moment so that’d be the best time to order hah~ :>

Compared to the pice you could pay here for clothes that not everybody has, it is okay, but it is no bargain. If I pay in average 20 $ per item it is still a normal price for a dress for example.Better not think about the fact how much the product is worth originally, but even here: clothes from H&M don’t have a high production cost but are sold for a much higher price…
I never ordered from Yesstyle, although I browsed their web page.

Thanks OP for the great share. Everything looks pretty cute & lovely. :)

This might be a bit off topic but very recently we started a business called Chinabuy in Australia to help you purchase from Taobao and other Chinese websites (we’re Chinese Australians, we speak both English and Chinese). In particular, our goal is to address most if not all issues of those Taobao agents out there. Here is how:

    * We’re an English-speaking Australian business. Our team is 100% Australian-based. So it would be much easier to deal with us.

    * We bargain on your behalf and pass on the saving to you. We want to emphasise this is very common when it comes to shopping from online marketplaces such as Taobao in China. If you ask a Taobao agent out there for your transaction record on Taobao they’ll probably refuse — wonder why? They bargained and put the money in their pocket rather than yours!

    * We provide you the original Taobao transaction record. That means whatever price we’ve bargained, you get the same price. For example, if we have the domestic shipping cost waived, you will have it too.

    * All you pay is item costs + shipping. We don’t charge a service fee. The service charge is notorious as it potentially involves a minimum charge, a cancellation fee, or a payment surcharge. So we’ve decided to remove it altogether and simplify the fee structure, to bring you an uncomplicated, transparent shopping experience.

    * We offer competitive exchange rate directly from Chinese Yuan to Australian Dollars, so No US dollars for Australian residents.

    * Our shipping rates are one the lowest in our industry if you’d take a little while to compare.

Check out our website today http://www.chinabuy.com.au and we’re sure you’ll love our service if you give us a chance to bring a smile on your face.
